open to a run on the no labels ticket. here is manchin in the critical early voting state of new hampshire. >> i i'm in races to win. the democrat and republican party that has a better model, their business model is better, you are divided. >> harris: recent polling my gave manchin optimism. 1/4 of voters surveyed said they would support a third party candidate if the election were held today. compare that with just 9% ahead of the 2020 election. fox news correspondent molly line kicking off our coverage now. molly. >> senator joe manchin rather artfully dodged the question whether or not he would head up the third party ticket saying they put the cart before the horse. manchin head lined in the first in the nation primary state of

voters. in 202050% of voters 18 to 29 voted for joe biden. now his approval rating among that group is 38%. immediately after the election in 2020 biden had 83% support among african-americans. that's now decreased to 74%. two critical groups, harris, that make a difference in a tight 2024 race. if those low approvals persist i predict the likely nominee with president trump will likely be reelected. >> harris: how complicated is this for the president of the united states? he needed joe manchin's vote on several things including the inflation reduction act. i put it in quotes, of course, most of it was for climate change. how hard is this for the president? what happens next? >> i think complications to go all around. complications for president biden if there are no labels decides to putted up a candidate. complications on the republican side of things. i also think there are complications for no labels.
8:05 am
let's not think it will be an easy mountain to climb. it was national data. that is not how we decide an election. in a world in which you have a third party candidate, can they ascertain enough votes to not put it into the house of representatives and win a state? these are big questions that no third party candidate has ever been able to achieve or answer in modern history. >> harris: this is interesting. a new op-ed today arguing that democrats might be content to see biden lose in 2024. it says here is the quote, rather than testing biden's viability the way republicans are testing trump's, democrats are letting biden take the nomination by default. richard, your reaction. >> i don't agree with this piece at all. a couple reasons. if you talk to anybody who voted for the president last time or cares about the issues the president is championing they would say a trump presidency would say that would be the worst that could ever happen.
8:06 am
not only is joe biden in the election. you have senate and house races. if you talk to folks in the house and senate they are 0ing in can democrats win back the house with in new seats and overturning of the map in new york and a lot of other changes. can democrats win back the house and win back the senate or maintain the senate? also can they win the white house? all three of those things need the happen for democrats. if you voted for biden that trajectory looks promising. the issues you care about are more than the white house. >> could i jump in quickly? it looks likely possible depending where you are in terms of democrat success in 2024, but the reality is president biden has significantly seen a decrease in approval ratings. the fact that president trump with everything that we've seen occur over the past several months is a point behind the sitting president? as a political strategist it is
8:07 am
an anomaly. i am not in the camp that joe biden has a shoe-in in 2024. people need to ask themselves the simple question are you making more money? has your 401k increased? when you go to the grocery store. more expensive to pay for gas? can you pay the mortgage and rechbt? the answer for most americans is simply no. i think donald trump and republicans have an effective argument to make to the american people about the economy then versus the economy four years under joe biden and democrats. >> harris: we'll move to the next thing. please let me go with this. i want to cover more ground with you. president biden is in love apparently with his plan to bail-out massive student loan debt. his new plan is more expensive than the one the supreme court struck down. a new penn war ton study puts taxpayers on the hook for $475 billion over the next decade.
8:08 am
the white house disagrees with that. it is doing its own math saying it will only cost $156 billion. really? the press secretary under fire. >> let's not forget the first two years the deficit went down by more than 1 trillion. that's the deficit reduction because of bidenomics and because of the work he has been doing. >> spending coming off the deficit -- >> what we have seen it has gone down over a trillion dollars and done it in a responsible way. he has done reduction. we've seen that over and over again in historical pieces of legislation he has put forward. >> harris: fox news legal analyst says the new plan is doomed to the same fate as the first one. >> it is worse than the first plan. biden invoking the education act. it simply does not give the president blanket authority to forgive debt. he is contorting the law, us

usurping the power of congress and treating the supreme court with contempt. >> harris: that echoed the chair virginia foxx calls loan relief 2.0 a desperate hail mary attempt to save his bid for re-election. we'll come back. >> we need to focus on why cost is so high. we need to focus on trade and other skills. when people will get degrees they need to get degrees in area in the interest of the country, science, technology, mathematics. china are superseding us in those categories. for the average taxpayer looking at this saying i want to make sure that americans are intelligent, have degrees and experience but i don't want to spend an additional 5 for 10 billion on people who want to get and arts degree. >> harris: for those people who didn't go to college. for those people working in

vocation. we need more of them. contractors, plumbers, people who build things. we need more of that infrastructure knowledge and skill. for those people why in the world should they pay for somebody else's college loan? >> a couple of things here. i agree the idea there are people who are struggling and this is an attempt to help them. i disagree the president does have the legality to do it. the truth. the truth is if you're somebody going into the building trades and you need to get a certification and you got it at your local community college it is likely you, too, have student loans that you have to pay off. if you are a dental hygienist you too have student loans you have to pay off. >> harris: why can't they use that new income to pay off their loans like everybody else and what about the people who spent years trying to pay theirs off and succeeded? >> when the cost of education outweighs the cost you are making for your salary we have to examine higher education but those in the middle class and those -- i'm not saying we

the other has been called mr. x. we're told he will reveal his identity publicly for the first time. both of those agents claim the d.o.j. gave hunter biden special treatment. mr. x also says he was not present at the october 2022 meeting where shapley sad u.s. attorney david weiss claims he was not in control of the hunter biden investigation. that's shapley's word against weiss's. weiss has denied it. raymond arroyo, fox news contributor. reaction to all of that. all heading into a big showdown tomorrow. >> you bet. what we're seeing -- it is interesting when you see this news coupled with the story you just report evidence with the d.o.j. targeting donald trump. what we are seeing, sadly, is these government institutions being weaponizeed against a particular opponent or party.

it is a military that has been ordered by civilian officials to pursue political ideology. to pursue social experimentation. to be yet another institution in american life that gets infected with the woke mind virus. this is changing the character of the military, it is changing the culture of our services. and it is creating a situation in which great warriors have been driven away and recruiting is at an all-time low post abolition of the draft and the vietnam conflict. there are reasons why that has been the case. if you look at the threats that this country has from china, for example. when china sees the navy, for example, using drag queens to recruit people, they are laughing in our face. when you see some of the nonsense that's gone on in the

services, these are things that would have been unthinkable even ten years ago, much less in prior generations. our enemies are whetting their appetite. you know why? they're seeing america take its eye off the ball. they are seeing america pursue other agendas at the expense of our nation's security agenda. so we need a military that is focused on being lethal, being ready, and being capable. if there is anybody's agenda that gets in the way with that, that agenda needs to take a hike. that's what we are going to do. 8:35 am
we saw the british parliament hold him in contempt and then they said the withdrawal was a failure of the intelligence, leadership and moral duty. they were absolutely right. so the question then becomes president joe biden, how are you going to bring our allies back to the table and let them know that we fully support them? it can't just be congress. it has to be the commander-in-chief. he is failing at that mission right now. >> harris: when you censure somebody or whatever they decide to do with jayapal it sends a message even if only to say we'll hold our own here in america accountability for those hateful remarks. you say democrats getting on board, though, it has to be more than 43 out of 212. come on. we're not even at 50%. >> you are absolutely correct about that, harris. i know that's something they will have to deal with within their party. adam schiff even talked about it and condemned those remarks. it was the right thing to do.
8:36 am
but the leadership starts from the top. biden needs to get on board or we are going to be leaving our greatest ally behind. we cannot do that as the leader of the world. i think we've seen that when we've seen him go to the summits and how other countries are interacting with our president it's a great disappointment and sad to see. >> harris: yeah. i have think about the juxtaposition the two men at the top the last two presidency. the abraham accords with connection between israel and other countries like nothing before in our history. one of the few things biden has not flipped the switch on with donald trump because he knew it was the right thing to do. -- there was peace in the middle east and thank god for donald trump and jared kushner who put it together and ran with that

8:39 am
holding credit card balances the highest they've been. interest rates are still high. even to get back to the place where wages were higher or higher or at the same level before the pandemic, you still have people amassing great debt because of the interest rate issue. so this white house is taking it from all sides and rightfully so. they haven't been putting forth the right legislative measures in order to change course. they are refusing to do so. doubling down on bidenomics is not putting americans in any place where they can have peace with the direction of the economy. i think this white house knows that. that's why they are lying about it on twitter. >> harris: if you haven't seen his twitter today, can i tell them and can i brag? he puts the ball in the hoop lebron style. how far away were you from the hoop? >> it was super far.
