dealings. >> my son has not made money, in terms of this thing about -- what are you talking about? china. >> how involved were you with your son's chinese shake down text message? were you sitting there? >> no. >> in moments we'll ask the chair man of the house oversight committee james comer exactly what information he plans to get from whistleblower x but we begin with matt finn live with why the testimony could be so damaging to hunter biden and the biden family. matt, good evening. >> reporter: good evening, trace, tomorrow the house committee on oversight and accountability is scheduled to hold a hearing called hearing with irs whistleblowers about the biden criminal investigation. americans are supposed to hear from irs whistleblowers who claim to have critical information about the biden family's alleged pedaling schemes which the bidens have denied. committee chairman republican congressman james comer of kentucky tells fox news the two whistleblowers scheduled to testify tomorrow are the a team

for the irs. comer claims they have bank statements that reveal the bidens created an extensive number of shell companies. >> we finally have experts that are going to testify under oath as to whether or not laws were broken. if so, how many, which laws and we're also going to see whether or not the government has stepped in to obstruct a formal investigation, if there was a coverup by high level oh figureses in our federal government. so i think this has the potential to be a very informative hearing for the american people. >> now, one of the woeful blowers expected to testify tomorrow is gary shapley, an irs agent with 14 years of experience with the agency. shapley claims the investigation he oversaw into hunter biden was not routine and would have ended with more felony charges for hunter if his last name was not biden. shapley also claims he was prevented from taking steps that could have tied president biden from his investigation.

for quite some time. i want to draw your attention to something the house oversight committee tweeted out and this is concerning the former fbi soups advisory agent quoting, the agent confirmed key portions of the irs whistleblower's testimony including that both secret service headquarters and the biden transition team were tipped off about the planned hunter biden interview. in fact, on the day of the hunter biden interview, federal agents were told to stand by and to not approach anybody. they had to way for his call. it's unbelievable when you think that these agents had to wait for had i been to call them, sir. what's your response to that? >> this is more evidence that the federal government covered up the biden crimes. we're going to hear firsthand tomorrow about the level of criminality involved in mays of these bank transactions that the biden family received from foreign nationals but the hard

part for us has always been the fact that at every step of our journey towards -- providing the american people about the truth about what the bidens have done we've been bet obstacles from within our government. what was encouraging when the whistleblowers came forward a few weeks ago and provided testimony to the ways and means committee was the fact we finally realized there were people in the federal government that knew about the crimes the bidens were committed and yet they were told to stand down. this is more evidences. we'll obviously hear from the irs whistleblowers we'll also hear enter the fbi agent in charge of that investigation. >> you talked about going forward, what is it specifically from whistleblower x would buoy this have eggs? >> well, when i say we believe the bidens have committed crimes, who is the person that ultimately determine whether or not crimes were committed in the government. that would be what whistleblower

x, forinternational tax crimes. we couldn't have a more credible witness. and not only credible he's never blown the whistle on anything else, he's won every award that the irs has ever presented to employees. he's also coming forward saying not only were crimes committed, but also the federal government told them to stand down and then when they blew the whistle they were retaliated against. this is something that should outrage every americans. not only have there been crimes committed by the president's family, there is also a major coverup that's not only happened in the last few months but has been going on for years within the federal government. >> during tomorrow's hearing you are definitely going to get push back from democrats. congresswoman jamie raskin said this and i'll get your final response. watch. >> the witnesses that have been brought in from the irs are contradicting donald trump's own

counter medicine behind floor to ceiling pecsy glass. they have not returned request for comment san francisco has seen an exodus of businesses due to a 12.5 %. they have lot stores due to an epidemic of so-called organized retail crime. and it's a problem that even the city's democratic mayor, london breed, acknowledges little is being done about recently telling the new york times, quote, no one's able to really do anything. there's a level of frustration. i know that definitely comes with that. the critics say california laws that have downgraded thefts of less than $950 to just misdemeanors only emboldened shoplifters. just recently they closed their doors after guests said public defecation, crime and rampant brazen drug deals made them feel unsafe and you can understand that. >> trace: we can understand that. lock up the ice cream for goodness' sake.

marianne rafferty, thank you. >> reporter: thanks trace. ♪ >> trace: well the fox news at night common sense department wonders why texas is dominating california when it comes to solving homelessness. it's an unusual phenomenon considering last year texas only put about $20 million into its three main homelessness programs. while california has put $2 billion into its three main programs. that means, while texas spends about $800 on a homeless person, california spends 11,000. and yet, since 2012, texas has seen its homeless population drop by 28%. california's homeless population has gone up 43%. in fact, california was so bouffard by the different outcomes that despite not allowing publicly funded travel to texas, california sent policy experts to texas to find solutions. turns out texas still uses hammers and nails to build homes. in california they use scissors to cut through red tape

wraparound policy for homes that are then too expensive to build. texas has one major rule. don't clear a homeless encampment unless you have permanent places for the homeless to live. california doesn't have permanent places they're too expensive. common sense understands gavin few sop doesn't like texas or its governor but when you're down by 50 with a few seconds left maybe it's time to walk across the field and shake someone's hand. >> reporter: bringing in california reporter james guam guerre thank you for coming on. we appreciate it. the homelessness really is wrapped up in these progressives policies and texas showing a lot of people, you know, there are solutions but you have to get rid of a lot of regulations. >> absolutely trace. it's the difference between an empowerment strategy to end homelessness, texas embarked on, versus an enabling, which we have in california. enabling, two people on the streets, letting open drug use happen. it's just ridiculous, it's outrages and clearly texas has shown there's a better way to

actually end homelessness. republicans in california are leading the way in saying we need to adopt these strategies. let's actually bring in the priority sec dor and non-profits who have done god's work in helping get homeless people off the streets and onto a better path. gavin newsome has embarked on a strategy of $17 billion of our taxpayer dollars, you know, spent on failed policies. >> yeah, you talk about failed policies, i want to bring up because this is the child sex trafficking bill. we talked about this last night. in california some democrats fought for as they chronicle said as quoting there, the reasoning child trafficking can only be considered serious if the victors endures horrifying chances on top of being trafficked. it illuminates how far some are willing to go to uphold the principle, they are no longer morally defensible and then an assembly woman liz ortega, the one fighting this bill and then

she said you know what? i made a bad decision voting against legislation targeting really bad people who target children was wrong. i regret doing that and i'm going to help this important regulation get passed into law. it's absurd, though, when you look into this and how they fought against this law. >> it's unbelievable. this is where all good policy goes to die. if you have any tough on crime policies, they reject it. but this is perhaps the most egregious, you know, we're talking about our children, the most vulnerable being taken advantage by these monsters, and they couldn't afford themselves to bring this bill. this had a 40-0 passage in the senate, democrats and republicans but in this radical committee they rejected it. the good news is they have an urge seasons hearing on thursday because of the pressure and blow back they got. again republicans leading the charge and we got that, moving forward phil pass 0. >> trace: speaking of emerge situate i would let you go

means trace jumping to conclusions, rushing to judgment, everyone wants the investigation to turn up all the clues it can in order to solve a crime. so when you're looking at a case where there's multiple victims, sometimes they can make the predator and that's one of the reasons i want all of the evidence you can. >> you talk about rushing to judgment but it took a while to put all these pieces together. is that unusual or is that just the process. >> i would say it's just the process and trace we don't really know how soon in that process they had the clues that this killer obviously left. and i say obviously because, you know, it's more than just good old fashioned police work, although there was some of that, a lot of that in this case, talking to people. but often times forensics tell the story cannot. go get it, it's pretty soon we have to leave. >> all the kinds of things that offer clues to identity so that's basically what they're

saying is they have tied at least four of these case toss one man. >> trace: yeah. it's interesting because the oregon governor kate brown said she is you go back and think well, let him out he should have been in prison so a lot of people are pointing at the governor saying this man should not have been out of prison he was and he killed four people. legally what are your thoughts on that. >> my thoughts are probably the same sentiment that was vivid by the governor as well as the public. sometimes it's a er,terrible lies. there's lot of reasons. especially i understand, but this guy got extra time off because he fought wire fires. it came down if you could predict. whether or not you can predict we try to prevent violence by looking at what makes people dangerous and that's when i go back to the patterns. often times trace what you see is maybe somebody doesn't have

one of our producers krista. matt finn is back with the rest of the story and matt this was a rough stay on the tarmac for these people. >> reporter: yeah, trace temperatures right now in vegas are scalding and inside this plane passengers stuck under the desert sun for hours underably hit their own boiling point some even needed medical care. the flight sat on the tarmac for more than two hours in 111 degree heat and no air conditioning. fox news producer krista gar vin was on the flight. >> the sanitary crew came on because some people had thrown up. i want to say one woman walked up the aisle, she wasr was, you know, visibly ill. she couldn't even open her eyes, she was swaying back and forth. they ended up treating her in the front and put an oxygen mask on her. >> reporter: she says to compliment it when it came up to the gate two option, stay on or

do if you were stuck inside this plane, stay on and you can go, you get off and you might not get to your destination for days. let me just start by saying, if it was me, the first thing i might have done and kevin corke might con kern with this, the first thing i would have done is call the fox news control room and have been on live television for two hours, two hours doing the play by play of exactly how that plane was being treated. i can guarantee that would have been taken back to the gate with media crews waiting for people along that plane to get their play and that didn't happen. that's kind of sad. kevin corke you look like you know me well. i would have been on the phone stat after an hour in that kind of heat although fair to point out once you leave the gate you really can't get off the aircraft and that's the real issue. they've got to get it back otherwise you end up in that situation. >> as soon as you see people
