who actually respect our views. and let's point something else out here. this is the first time -- and i have been around washington longer than i would like to admit -- where i can remember that conservatives are actually moving markets. heck, conservatives i like to call it the normalcy coalition and its roaring back. look, the fringe got cocky because it had been super successful in these battles. and whether we are talking about the military or the field of medicine, public schools, or the democrat party itself, the left's pattern is always the same. infiltrate, redefine, and purge or irp. this means they infiltrate at every level, they redefine every key term, and then they purge the opposing voices. now, the first two steps are pretty self-explanatory, after all we have seen what has infiltrated our military it's not pretty. and the twisted personalities that are now burrowed into our

try to purge him? it's just part of the biden protection react and cnn is on it. >> we're almost losing track of the number of statements and times they have had to come out since he has announced his bid for president and before then there are many people close to the kennedy family and others who think he is simply trying to raise money. there is an audience for what he is saying in some respects froms anti-vaccine community and others and he is trying to have a platform for all of this. is he not really running much of a presidential campaign. >> laura: well, maybe because he gets deplatformed every five minutes. of course is he not a dumb person he knows if r.f.k. wasn't polling so well his remarks wouldn't be censored. they would be 2ke89 with. the democrats would be smart if they did some self-reflection here because r.f.k. is popular not just because of his views on the vaccine, is he popular because on key issues, he represents the values of the old democrat party. pro-free speech, antiwar, skeptics of big business,

defenders of human rights, including in china. so the question is not what's happened to robert kennedy jr. the question is what happened to the democrat party? and by the way what's happened to our military because under biden americans are losing confidence in our armed forces. and not just that, a purge of traditional moral values is co-insight siding with a huge short fall in recruiting. the army is reporting it's missing its target by 15,000 recruits. the navy is down 10,000. and the air force anticipates that 3,000 person deficit. that is significant. and what happens the biden's team's answer to all of this? just double down on radicalism. >> our policies, whether they're diversity, inclusion and equity or whether they are about transgender individuals who qualify, physically and mentally to serve to be able to do it with dignity. >> laura: how many christian families in the south and midwest are going to actually continue to send their sons and daughters into this remade military environment?

we all know in biden's military if a promotion, let's say comes down, a decision about a promotion comes down between a trans man and a devout catholic, the trans man is always going to get the promotion every time, right? we all know that so it's kind of a silent purge. and secretary lloyd austin started the process after the january 6th riots. he issued a standdown directive, remember, across the u.s. military with a stated purpose to root out extremists in the ranks. that, itself, was incredibly damaging to the institution. i'm noted really sure if the democrats have thought this through. if you purge the military of all christians, muslims, and jews who vehemently support the abortion and trans gender and other americans who don't agree with those issues, then who exactly is going to be left to serve our country in uniform? of course the white house though claims that people aren't joining or staying in the military because they can't have

abortions abortion laws in this country that are now being passed are absolutely having an effect on their willingness to continue serving in uniform. what happens if you get assigned to a state like alabama which has pretty restrictive abortion law in place and you are concerned about your reproductive care? what do you do? do you say no and get out? well, some people may decide to do it. and what does that mean? that means we lose talent, important talent. >> laura: no, sir, if the talent is running in the other direction it's because you have radically changed the military's ethos. you purged recruitment campaigns like this >> we do more before 9:00 a.m. than most people do all day. ♪ be all that you can be bee >> thanks, first sergeant. >> good morning. ♪ find your future in the army >> laura: and replaced them with stuff like this. >> are you kidding? i'm at the top of my game. i'm right up there with the big dogs.

corporations would be wise to restrain themselves when they get the pressure from these left wing advocacy organizations because youner know when the thing is going to be that actually destroys your entire company. >> laura: russ, another person effective in resisting what is being done especially to our military is typically tuberville senator tuberville vilified for using his constitutional authority to stop these promotions and these nominations from going forward as long as money, our tax dollars are being used for abortion transportation, et cetera, other costs. your reaction to that? >> he has been incredibly effective and he has been vilified but the military establishment, notice it's not just the biden administration it's also the military that is supposedly antipolitical and they are the ones that are doing the politicization of it. and i think it's not just that he has said, look, we're not going to go forward with these nominations but it's on an expedited basis. he's not saying that they won't -- they can't get a vote. this administration wants them to all be done by unanimous

consent so we don't have a debate about whether a brigadier general says the most important accomplishment in his military career is setting up a dei office. that's the kind of person that we are up against with regard to these generals. >> laura: hakeem jeffries responded to all of the hullabaloo about the reauthorization act inch republicans take a bipartisan piece of legislation like the national defense authorization act attack reproductive freedom, attack the lgbtq community, and undermine our national security and the ability of our military to recruit from every corner of america. >> laura: mollie? >> he is factually not accurate here. it is the biden administration that inserted politics into this by responding to the dobbs decision by breaking all precedent and norm and rules on these things and inserting abortion and radical trans issues into the military thing. should be something they don't

do if for no research it allows broad bipartisan votes. it's really appalling how our military around the political leadership that supports them saying we don't need to know how far to win wars and exit wars. we just want to use this military to bush a radical agenda that is not supported -- you know, these are not popular things with the american people. taxpayer funding of abortion. radical trans pushing you in the military. what our americans want is a military that is capable, cohesive and able to fight and win wars. that seems very few people in d.c. and the republican party, the democratic party and the permanent d.c. caucus really care about this. >> laura: russ, i think the pentagon is much more comfortable talking about trans issues and pride month than they are about the sputtering of the spring offensive, summer offensive in ukraine which, you know, we are going to get into later but apparently isn't going so swimmingly. >> or we don't have enough attack submarines. they never want to talk about actual military readiness or what it's going to take to

confront china they want to talk about what it sets to set up a dei office. what's necessary to attract people who are desperate to have an abortion and, therefore, our readiness depends on people's quote, unquote, reproductive help that is what is problematic about our military caste system. >> laura: this hearing with r.f.k. jr. we are going to spend some time on it in the show tonight because it was stunning. he along with the whistleblowers yesterday, he just exposed the democrats. now, there was a moment with representative plaskett at this hearing today. watch this. >> they want four social media companies to promote conspiracy theories. they will want to bully the experts into abandoning their work on disinformation, to pave the way. they want to give expression to the most vile sorts of speech here in this committee room because of it prepares the ground for their own conspiracy theories and pseudo science. >> laura: how is that -- how is it pseudo science? >> well, there are two major problems with what she is saying

here, too. one, silicon valley is not run by republicans, it's actually run by left wingers who are trying to censor all sorts of information. they censor everything that effects our elections and do in a way that systematically advantages the democrat party. there is also this basic american thing we have a marketplace of ideas precisely so we can come to the truth. that doesn't mean that every idea that's expressed in the marketplace of ideas is going to be correct or accurate. the reason why you allow that to happen is because we don't want to live in totalitarian system and that's what she is advocating right there. >> laura: that's what all the democrats want. that's what it sounded like to me. russ and mollie thank you both. >> thank you. >> laura: now for another edition of "you heard it here first." history shows that the longer a war lasts the more costly it is. u.s. policymakers have to be very careful to make sure we do not end up in a worse position as long as it takes. that could be many years because putin just announced he is calling up 300,000 reservists.

all the boasting that happened, that victory for ukraine was within reach? the angle told you at the time that that was happy talk. it wasn't grounded in reality. and wouldn't you know? regularly a uniparty spokesperson and war hawk andrea mitchell is finally forced to admit a little bit of reality. >> some u.s. officials out here and certainly other officials believe that this is really stalemate. it's a frozen conflict and that it's going to go on for quite awhile. and that it's really arguable whether ukraine can really win. >> laura: america, are you hearing this? it's really arguable whether ukraine can win. so with no clear path to victory in sight, sewerly the biden administration is reconsidering the constant turning on of the cash sspigot.

house comms team into scramble mode. he dropped what is known as an fd 1023 form and it details house the bidens allegedly coerced the burisma ceo to pay them millions to get rid of the ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating the company back in 2016. now, the fbi interviewed detailed inside was of a highly credible source who said that burisma hired hunter biden to protect the u.s. through his dad from all kind of problems. now, i will let joe biden explain what happened next. >> listen, i'm telling you, you're not getting the billion dollars. i said you're not getting the billion. i'm going to be leaving here and i think it was six -- i said look we are leaving in six hours. if the prosecutor ♪ fired, you are not getting the money well son of a [bleep] got fired. [laughter] >> laura: looks like someone got money. joining me now jonathan turley professor of law at gwu and fox news contributor. professor, after receiving information from the fraud, christopher steele, the fbi

filed for surveillance warrants. but after the allegations from this source, no such moves. essentially just dropped it. very interesting. >> right. it is interesting. thank you, laura. the fascinating thing about this story is it gets worse by the day. you know, one of the more interesting things that we saw in recent weeks was bill barr being interviewed. and barr said that he never shut down this investigation. but he also added that he sent it to a u.s. attorney's office that he said found-facts that the fbi overlooked. now, that alone was sort of chilling. the fbi has a source saying that biden is accepting millions of dollars. and that we now know that this source reportedly said that this was money to be paid to hunter for the protection from his dad. i mean, you can't get more serious than that.

and, yet, when barr sent to the u.s. attorney's office, which is not there to investigate crimes, he said they found additional dealer that the fbi overlooked. it was then sent to delaware and there it appears to have died. and so there are so many questions that we need to have answered of why this took such a circuitous route, why the fbi didn't fully investigate. what did the u.s. attorney's office find in addition? but, most importantly, what happened? why did it go to delaware and was never seen again? >> laura: well, the whistleblowers yesterday, jonathan, were asked about this particular form. watch this. >> the team that was in charge of investigating the biden family for tax crimes never received the fbi document that alleged joe biden was involved in a bribery scheme. >> for the irs investigators on the case? the answer is no? >> there are things that are

contained on that document that could further corroborate other information. >> and now we -- we find in the document that apparently the source described as highly credible, said that the prosecutor has many text messages and recordings to show that he was coerced by the bidens to make these payments, to try to hold that prosecutor off against the company burisma in ukraine. text messages and documents. >> that's right, laura. the other thing about this, this document, is that it dovetails perfectly with what comer and other chairman have found. also including the recent disclosures from ways and means, about how money went to the biden family. the document refers to how they were not supposed to send money to the, quote: big guy, a term we have seen in other files as referencing president biden.

but it said that the bidens prefer to use a labyrinth of different accounts, different corporations to hide the money. well, these committees have put together a detailed account of just layers upon laser of corporations and accounts used and it doesn't seem like there is any purpose to this complexity except to hide these -- these transfers of money. and so the most disturbing thing about the document is that it mirrors what was recently released by these committees looking at the actual transactions from these banks. >> laura: well, at this point, given everything we have, should the attorney general appoint some type of special counsel, independent council to get to the bottom of this, jonathan? i'm not a fan of independent counsel counsels, personally but what about that? >> not only has there been an

unassailable case for special counsel for two years, garland has proved the need for a special counsel. every decision he has made has been against giving trainers and affording action to these allegations. i mean, the record of the fbi shows precisely why we need an independent special counsel. the reluctance of garland to make that appointment is baffling, at best. i mean, the president is all over these files. there's references to his receiving a potential cut, a percentage of some of these deals. the president also stands contradicted. you know, yesterday, representative goldman tripped the wire in the middle of the hearing and actually got a witness to say yeah, hunter spoke to the president about his business dealings. that's saying that the president has been lying for two years. >> laura: well, trump is inteemed for a phone call and you get all these transactions

research at tulane analyzed data relating to 51 of the largest metropolitan areas and found that in areas with higher black populations, mass shootings are likelier to occur compared to communities with higher white populations. there are also more black people injured and killed. so instead of identifying the problem in urban areas, as something that requires attention, the black-on-black crime, the study tries to lay the entire blame on systemic racism. joining me now larry elder, conservative radio host, republican candidate for president, larry,. blacks as same race crime murder is a same race crime. most whites killed are killed by other whites. according to the cdc, a young black manage 10 to 43 i'm not making this up 10 times more likely to be murder derderian than ha white man. contrary to what joe biden said at howard university they ain't being killed by white supremacists they are being killed by other blacks. unless you are prepared to say black men genetically inclined to kill other men. what is going on is the 10,000-pound in the room epidemic of fatherlessness. 70% of black kids without fathers in the home. up from 25% back in 1965. >> 25% of white kids now. >> laura: white number is going up, too. the statute even clear even barack obama if you are raised without a dad five times more likely to be poor and commit crime. nine times more likely to drop out of school 20 times more likely toned up in jail. >> laura: i'm a single mom and

significantly slowed, of course, at the same time homicides overall surged. and if you look at the specific types like gun related homicides, that also spiked as did gang related homicides. so, larry, the blm riots were responsible for potentially thousands of deaths. >> i think so it's called the george floyd effect on or about the blm effect. phenomenon of cops pulling back from normal of policing less likely a bad guy is going to be caught, going to be convicted and incarcerated. there are so-called excess deaths and these excess deaths are primarily the black and brown people living in the inner city that the left purports to care about. laura laura larry, the mpd is entering the settlement with the protest rioters in new york after the floyd killing and it's $13 million going to, i guess, what 1,000 people who were arrested? what? >> almost every time one of these high profile shootings there is a settle the. the reason for this is to make peace so that people don't right and yell and scream and tear up
