implement safeguards to protect the privacy, property and livelihoods of real people across this country. to create transparency and a temporary freeze on the commercial development of this technology unless and until it's implemented with a system of human values and human ethics. the second thing is compensation for all of the peoples information that has been stolen and ongoing data dividends for as long as the ai products generate revenues. arthel: how would you know if your personal information is stolen for ai use? >> a while, all of the internet essentially has been swept up into these ai models. it is staggering the amount of information. so we are talking about photographs, in some cases e-mails.

we are talking about creative expressions, our legs, our dislikes. arthel: pretty much everything he put out there and the internet. >> it is correct. arthel: this is new territory jeff a strong case what is the potential payout part of your point, you are using my intellectual property, me, us, the public unknowingly on top of that. and we want to be paid for it do you have a strong case? what is the payout of the lawsuit if you can win? >> what is not all about the cases the unprecedented facts and circumstances involved. whatnot this relate novel about the case is the application of new facts and new circumstances to well grounded property, privacy and consumer protection laws. the case is a very strong case. we expect a court will give a

hard look at the way in which this information was stolen and the way it violated consumer protection rights. arthel: want to take a moment here, ryan, to read a quote on google's private property. since we as publicly available information to help train google's ai models and build products and features like google translate and cloud ai capabilities. i ask you, do you think this lawsuit will change the way big tech collects data for ai? >> i think it will change. that is the goal of it anyway. what is interesting about the privacy policy language that you just read, arthel, is it was updated to include that language three days after we sued open ai and microsoft for similar violations. and what is interesting is that this narrative that we have all

been fed that you can either interact on the internet but you sacrifice your individual rights, your privacy and property rights. as the price of admission that is a false narrative that has been fed to us by big tech. the american people are not buying it. and just because it's written in boilerplate and some 4000 word privacy policy that no it reads, nor were they understand if they didn't read does not make it legal. arthel: let me close with this, ryan, does the future of ai have to mean the detriment of human livelihoods as we know it? or is there a safe responsible way to continue to incorporate ai into our lifestyles in existence? >> we can absolutely get this right. we can have both things. we can have an incredible technology that has the opportunity to usher in new

discoveries, cures for diseases, that helps tackle big issues. but we can also do it by protecting and preserving people's livelihoods, people's privacy, peoples of property. both things can be true. and i think the united states is in the perfect position to do this the right way and do a model we can export to the world. that is what the world looks to america for, that kind of leadership. arthel: will this go to a trial? are you expecting that in your case? >> we will see how far it goes. i will say the public's reaction to our lawsuit thus far has been overwhelmingly positive. we have had conversations with many concerned citizens all across this country. so i would encourage anyone who is concerned and a passionate about these issues. whether they think they may be a class member or -- to visit our
