too many trips to disney might be the reason for that but she is just the sweetest, smartest little 4-year-old and we are happy. >> ainsley: she is really cute. look at her little outfit. she is darling. where was that taken? >> joey: we were on a cruise in haiti a beach for royal caribbean there. my son is 14 years old. took him to do a zip line. she and i rolled around in my wheelchair and found places to take pictures of her. she was as happy as can be. >> ainsley: you have your little girl. that's great. former president donald trump hit with three new charges and special counsel jack smith's classified records probe. >> joey: the 2020 republican frontrunner now facing up to 140 years from prison as is he accused of attempting to delete surveillance footage at mar-a-lago. >> lawrence: mark meredith is live with the latest from the white house. what can you tell us. >> good morning to all three of you and has been friday. the justice department is adding new charges against former president donald trump as the special counsel continues to prosecute both trump and top

staffers for allegedly holding ton classified materials for mar-a-lago. a look at some of the additional charges being filed. late thursday special counsel jack smith adding charges of obstruction and willful destruction of defense information. alleging that trump directed staff to delete security footage within mar-a-lago's property. the manager ever mar-a-lago now also being charged in relation to this incident. he will be in court on monday for an arraignment. we heard from the former president in an interview with fox news digital. he said it's election interference at the highest level. the charges are ridiculous. this is prosecutorial misconduct used at the level never seen before. i am way up as a republican and way up in the general election. and this is what you get. the former president speaking with fox. so, if you add up all the charges the former president could face it's possible he could face 140 years behind bars. that would be if he was convicted on all of those charges, which of course, would be unlikely that he would get the maximum sentence but that is what is out there. meantime the white house still facing questions what the criminal case will look look

like involving first son hunter biden. the white house is yet to say if the white house has spoken to his son since wednesday's news plea agreement by federal prosecutors put on hold. just yesterday the white house made it clear they are not looking to expunge hunter's record if he is convicted. >> from a presidential perspective, is there any possibility that the president would end up pardoning his son? >> no. >> well, is there -- >> -- i just said no. i just answered. go ahead. >> to the white house's credit they will answered the question but republicans up on capitol hill say they still have plenty of questions about what has been going on behind the scenes. we heard from the house speaker saying it's possible that republicans could launch impeachment inquiry against the president and this morning we are hearing from nancy mayes who says she still has a lot of questions unanswered. >> based on the evidence i have seen so far, i think the number is going to be north of $50 million that we are talking about here. this will go down as one of the most politically corrupt presidents and families in u.s. history and we have got to show

and prove it to the american people. we have got to show them everything that we have congresswoman macy making it clear congress is going to keep on digging. president biden yet to talk about what is going on with his son this week. go up to maine to talk about the economy. always possible to take questions on the south lawn and heading off to beach house in delaware for the weekend. ainsley, joey, lawrence? >> ainsley: you made news yesterday front page of the "new york post" you asked the white house will the president pardon his son? and karine said no. >> they did give us a direct answer. i was surprised i thought we would be given an answer we don't answer hypotheticals. they did give a direct no. the follow-up was going to be that the president said no or was this something that was directed as white house policy going to say no. but, again, to the white house's credit then answered the question and made plenty of news. >> lawrence: mark, i don't think she wanted the follow-up. >> ainsley: do you really believe that if he really is he

if he is charged convicted for that, what do you think the president would do? wouldn't he pardon his son. >> i mean, we don't know, of course, what is going to happen in the future and of course still a long way from hunter biden ever being convicted and going to prison. nowhere close to where we are right now, at least. what i would imagine what we could possibly see is there could be a commutation of sentence that's a possibility. >> joey: semantics. >> to the white house's credit they did answer the question and we are thankful for that. >> lawrence: mark meredith, thank you so much. >> you bet. >> joey: one read to read that speculate maybe he is so confident that there won't be any type of charge or conviction that it's easy to say you won't pardon someone you don't think will be convicted and then that leads to the question why are you so confident? >> lawrence: judging by that deal why know why they are confident. they have been given deals literally according to the prosecution unprecedented. according to the defense,

unprecedented. it's just incredible what is happening with this biden administration. and his son. we want to go to this quote because hunter may have made a mistake in the court filing when he was talking with the judge and this is what he said and this is talking about the money he made while he was in business. it goes to hunter first. i started a company in 2017 called hudson west, your honor. and my partner was associated with a chinese energy company called ecefc and then the judge says who was your partner? hunter says i don't know how to spell his name. yi gin ming jianming. >> the judge says is that one of the companies we have already talked about? >> hunter says i believe so, yes, your honor. i believe cefc. >> joey: what is really amazing about that is president biden

dollars to ukraine. so, you know, the father says i didn't have anything to do with my son's business. but it appears that that wasn't the case. then he says my family didn't make any money in china and then you have his son admitting it to a judge. >> it's truly incredible because we have all this information. this information was shared and a lot of it was attempted to be shared during the last election because voters said, look. this would have impacted the way they would have voted if information. jim jordan who is over the house oversight committee has been saying, look, i want to talk all these tech companies, facebook, instagram, twitter to figure out what type of censorship was going on. so he shared these internal documents from twitter. this is what it says in april of 2021, a facebook employee circulated email from facebook ceo zuckerberg and sheryl sandberg we are facing continued pressure from external

stakeholders, including biden -- the biden white house to remove posts. so you have an administration trying to suppress stories. i mean, i don't understand. i thought we were supposed to get some normalcy, ainsley, once he got elected president. >> ainsley: then he shared another internal document through twitter. this one says in another april 2021 email. nic kellogg, who is facebook's president for global affairs, informed his team at facebook that andy savovic. sviatoslav i have the, a senior adviser was outraged tf misinformation is dangerous. that word dangerous, the idea that if you give an opinion that is contradictory to what the white house or the medical establishment is providing, then not only does your first amendment not count but you are dangerous. you are killing people. all right. this is coming from folks that

told us masks are not good. masks are good. folks told us vaccines stop the spread of covid and enough to say they were never intended to. these are people who changed their own words because evidence come out but worked so hard to suppress information that might contradict, right or wrong, that might contradict what they are saying. they use this guise dangerous, morally reprehensible and the idea and greg gut field points this out all the time if you stand on that line can you say anything about anyone and deem yourself correct and righteous. and that's what we have an entire constitution to protect us against. lawrence lawrence it got so bad, ainsley, to joey's point, at one point the white house made a facebook post about covid and they pulled the post down, facebook, because of censorship got so bad. >> ainsley: what about the hunter biden laptop story. the hunter biden laptop story was supposed to be, it was released by the "new york post" right before the election. that was right before these emails came out. these came out in april of 2021

this was 2020. the fall of 2020. the "new york post" ran with this story. they put it on social media and social media took it down. then, after the election, there were voters that were surveyed and they said if we had known about this we would have changed our vote. >> joey: the worst part about this if you said anything about this or deemed a conspiracy theorist. if you talked about the deep state intel professionals that substantiated the idea that the "new york post" story was russian disinformation. if our own intel chiefs, not just people low level, people in charge, people of note if they can lie about this, why isn't there a deep state? >> lawrence: we reached out for to the white house about comment on this fox digital did but they didn't hear anything back. >> ainsley: let's hand it up to carley for headlines. >> carley: happy friday. a suspected thief is dead and another one hurt after gunfire erupted in a confrontation over a stolen car.

a man tracked down his stolen vehicle to a texas shopping center and confronted the suspected thief at gunpoint trying to hold them until police arrived. but the suspected thief started shooting at the car owner, prompting him to return fire the suspect was killed. the accomplice is reportedly in stable condition. senator rand paul making a deal to drop his hold on dozens of state department nominees in exchange for documents he believes will shed light on the origins ever covid-19. the agreement comes after weeks of negotiation over the documents which include all the research that's been funded by the u.s. in wuhan, china. paul says he will assess the material for any connection between the wuhan research and a potential lab leak. and our very good friend charles payne hosting a town hall last night giving you a step-by-step guide to maintaining unstoppable prosperity. the fox business host getting emotional, describing the financial risks taken by his

shipping navigation equipment, jamming technology, and fighter jet parts to sanctioned russian government owned defense companies. here to react is fox news senior strategic analyst retired four star general jack keane. good morning to you, general. >> yeah, good morning, ainsley. >> ainsley: good morning. this is pretty scary. we thought china was helping them sending equipment but according to this national intelligence report, that is happening. are we seeing evidence battlefield. >> oh, yeah. most what is happening president xi had a choice to make. certainly putin just before the war began. in china i'm sure he told president xi that this thing is going to be over in weeks and that certainly was in president xi's interest at the time. here we are almost like 18 months later and what has happened to this relationship that president xi distance himself strategically from russia because things didn't go

bad. because international bucca on the other hand places? no. the relationship is actually closer. putin is going to make a trip to china here in october. that will be the third time they have seen each other since the war began. now, on what china has done is literally doubled down on buying russia's oil and gas and certainly helping russia significantly economically. when it comes to them what are they doing militarily? they cannot provide lethal weapons, the actual weapons themselves, but they are providing dual technology capability. you had it on your parts for jet fighters, jamming equipment. navigational equipment. they are providing hundreds, if not thousands of commercial drones which doesn't take much to change to a military application. and they are permitted to provide them nonlethal equipment, so they are providing them hundreds of thousands of

helmets and body armor and the like. i don't think there is much interest and political will in the administration to close the loophole that you identified here on fox dealing with dual technology. i don't think the europeans will do sanctions against china or without. i don't think this administration will, as well. i think this loophole will continue to be frank about it. >> i remember when president trump was in office heard a lot about sax and according to the national intel report. sanction's how are they doing this. >> we just indicated some of the ways they are doing that for example, on the oil business, russia's tankers are sanctioned and the insurance behind them are sanctioned. but what china is doing is they are providing russia with super

tankers. chinese super tankers to be able to get their oil out not just to china but to other parts of the world, remember, russia's principle commodity is oil and gas for that economy of theirs. and if we were able to shut it down like we wanted to do, with sanctions, that truly would cripple russia. but russia is not crippled. they have been able to get around it and this is a perfect example of how they are getting around it. listen, strategically, this is serious because russia and china are joined at the hip. and we have got to recognize that we haven't faced two hours like this since world war ii. and they are fundamental interest. >> ainsley: how do we respond to that. >> their fundamental interest, ainsley, is curtailing america's power and influence in the world. we are responding with russia. we have destroyed half of their military capability in the russian military and we have not lost a single soldier in doing it and a very small portion of a

$6 trillion budget to do it. i think that's an investment in our future. we have 100,000 troops in europe right now. if russia continues to lose this war as they are on the path to doing. we will hopefully be able to pull those troops, at least most of them out of there at some point and focus more on china and, clearly, we have got to step up comprehensively in dealing with china. something has happened since the spy balloon with the administration. they were doing some very good things in pushing back on china and i have noted a number of them. but, since that incident, we have become more appeasing of china. we don't want to provoke them. and even chairman gallagher mentioned this last week in his opening testimony with defense and state department officials that were there. trying to get their explanation of wife the sea change. why are we changing our tougher policy with china and now being more conciliatory and that's the

>> janice: absolutely. are. >> joey: number of years trump could face in jail if convicted on all counts of the classified documents case. it is still counting, it goes up to 140. and time is not on trump's side. here's a look at the road ahead. in just a month, republican also take the debate stage. on the g.o.p. front run err will have to juggle a handful of legal battles including his company's civil suit, a defamation lawsuit which is the same day as the iowa caucuses and the federal lawsuit after being accused of promoting a pyramid scheme. that's not all between super tuesday and election day trump will have to face a jury involving stormy's hush money payments leading to classified documents trial at the end of may. former governor of arkansas, mike huckabee is here to react. governor, you have run for president, it's not easy. they throw everything they can at you. this is a different -- this is a completely different thing though. this is a former president who has an entire party and potentially an entire judicial bureau sprocess going against h.

>> he does. most americans look at this and see this is an attempt to make sure that donald trump is somehow chased off the ballot. in their attempt to do it is sort of like wiley coyote going after road runner. the more they try the worst it gets for wiley coyote and the better for road runner. his numbers stay up. people look at this and say wait a minute, let me see if i get this ride. you do a raid over his home over some pieces of paper. hillary rodham clinton who had no authority whatsoever to have documents had eye raced 33,000 emails. kept a private server in her bathroom. some of those emails, private, classified stuff ended up on convicted felon anthony weiner's laptop. so the double standard here is stark. and they are going after not just donald trump they are going after people who worked for him. look, i'm just amazed by all of this. it's stunning. >> joey: my understanding going after these other people who work for him not just to charge

him but carmignani them enough to inner circle very loyal, sloittle important parts for them. do you think that's effective route or basically grasping at straws. >> i think it's grasping at straws, jack smith is one of these guys who goes after people in way that is disgusting. using the full power of the federal government and its unlimited budget to go after a person so he can control and manipulate the election. here's a question i have got for some of these prosecutors. all of this information that gets leaked primarily to left wing news outlets, do we not remember that that is a felony to leak that information? is jack smith pursuing whoever it was who is the leaker? probably someone on his own staff? and they are leaking like a sieve over there and pouring out information that's detrimental to donald trump. that's a felony. how come nobody is talking about it. nobody is doing a thing about it. >> joey: put your candidate hat on we have a big field and

week alyssa showed up police station up in montana a small town in northern montana said i'm alicia navarro. i have been a missing juvenile for the last four years and i need to clear myself out of the system. you can imagine on her side and our side that immediately spun up a huge investigation. >> and what did the investigation intel? was she kidnapped? was she heard, unharmed? what can you tell us? >> everything that we saw and that they saw was she was happy and healthy. the first thing we had to do was confirm identity. we had to make sure that this was the right person, it wasn't the first person who has ever showed up at the police station claiming to be alicia. so we immediately got d.n.a. swabs, actually flew them back down here and through the use of rapid d.n.a. in about 90 minutes had a d.n.a. profile that we had tested against previous known samples that we had from her and her mom. proved it was her.
