nomination they need to have objectivity. point out things to the american people what really doesn't matter being objective and the fact donald trump legal issues are going to be a problem. here's why they are the better candidate they need to put that forward for people to understand and get on board with. eric: let's look at the seven of qualified we have their pictures of course former president donald trump of course. do not know if he's going to show, nikki haley, desantis, vivek ramaswamy, senator scott, krista, nor the kota governor, , who has the most to gain and do you think? on the debate stage and what viewers should be looking at. >> tim scott will really thrive in this setting. nikki haley, she is always ready with her facts and data and ready to go. i think chris christie will certainly target trump whether he's on the stage you will point out the issues there. i think others may take his cues
11:15 am

it is a very scary thought for me because i know how ruthless the kingdom is. i would not want to be held responsible and have to answer to them. i certainly would not want to help anybody their american reputation for. >> chair of the united families united speaking to us at fox news live a few weeks ago. her husband tom was killed in the world trade center on that fateful day per she is condemning sports leagues for getting involved with saudi arabia. right now that does not seem to stop some athletes here in our country from seeming to flirt with the saudis and their abundant jackpot. when nba start tweeted they can take me newly retired nfl with the saudi arabia interested in american football by chance? you know, after parting with the pga tour will the saudis try to buy their weight further into american sports? sports illustrated senior host
11:47 am
robin is here. do you see the saudis making moves into the nfl the major league baseball or nba? could they possibly do that? >> the writing is on the wall they're going to attempt to get involved in sports as a whole, right? nfl is a very american sport i can see the first step being an nfl game being played and saudi arabia baseball is popular in japan and the caribbean more of an american game. nba is a global game like soccer basketball is a global game like soccer. adam silvers arctic crack the door open and interviews. he said an individual has to be controlling interest in ownership in nba team but they have now opened it up to a wealth of funds and private equity firms and the like. there is also the possibility of a game being played over there. but with expansion coming eventually in the nba i would not rule out the possibility of the saudis getting involved
11:48 am
there because as silvers said before there aren't that many people who can afford to buy a team. it has turned into a really good investment the hornets were not great during michael jordan's tenure but he still flipped them for a lot more than he got them for. this really started to meet with the wwe many years back they started going over there and it reminds me of an old wrestling character or the million dollar man who famously said everybody's got a price. eric: talk about a price you just said it but let's say there's a team that is struggling and the owners sell it for billions of dollars, can they sell it to the saudis but with the saudis put up a front person, an american or a group of americans to run its comet would that pass muster? the owners in football, baseball and got a lot of restrictions a lot of covenants, the sort of thing. >> and mike silver i referenced before would have to be an individual who is taking over the nba for instance at this point in time. i do not think it imminent with the nba or the nfl it is much

more of an old money sort of a long-standing network. i would not be surprised like i mentioned if the nfl was over there at some point to begin that spectacle to start to open it up to that audience. basketball is already broadly popular. now, they have their hands full trying it soccer off the ground already, right? they have made so many stride so quickly you cannot rule it out but look how fast the liv golf thing for the moral aspect of it which is fair for people to bring up but that really fell apart in many ways once the pga folded the whole argument for a while it was your taking the dirty but all the sudden the money you seem to be okay when they realize they were not going to run out of it and they were not going to win that battle overnight so therefore the merger happened. now is soccer the reason you saw the athletes remember athletes are online two. they like to be part of the conversation on twitter or x or whatever we are calling it
11:50 am
nowadays. getting offered $776 million for one year, of course the likes of lebron and jj water going to joke around it. but once you start to get into the jokes they say there's a little truth in jokes and eventually it is inevitable they're going to try to get involved whatever you want a cult sports watching trying to build up their economy beyond oil. sports are broadly popular they cannot change the way saudi arabia is perceived in a way to soit makes sense as an investme. eric: and they have done the english football which we know is soccer. what is your best guess besides playing a game may be the mlb would play game question what they play in london now what is your best guess who could be ripe for the pickings and where? >> nfl game over there within the next few years. and i think in attempt to get involved in nba ownership or i do think basketball is more popular over there right now.
11:51 am
so let's say we heard rumblings of vegas or seattle in the nba a few years down the line as this becomes more and more the norm given we have seen rinaldo from football or soccer already go over there. the palette starts to be cleansed a little bit i think eventually in nba ownership. >> 's before they may have the cash but they have a lot of controversy especially from the 911 families and those who do not forget. robin thank you for joining us could see you. we will be right back.
