empower elected to six times democratically. it's a total of 16 years and all the 16 years i never commented on the internal debates of other democracies. i have chosen not to do that. nope other leaders and elected leaders can decide to do that everybody has an opinion on israel. they do not have an opinion on the rights of france for the protest or the debates that happen inside other countries you have a major debate between the supreme court and executive rate in america i really don't care to comment about about people choose to comment about hours it's okay. we will make our own decisions in democracies sovereign states, sovereign democracies the elected representatives of the people make the decisions. that's how it's going to be in israel. by the way my criticism is not that they are engaging in treason i don't think that is the issue.

it's illegitimate and wrong part what we are doing is not waking the israeli democracy we are strengthening it were bringing back in line to utmost democracies are were israel was in its first five decades. i work should be eaten now in the coming decades. >> that is what i would call the peacemaker with the pacemaker. i'm definitely not the peacemaker and i don't have a pacemaker yet progress y progreo for one of my aids but that's fine. [laughter] well, why not. here is the thing. is it not odd to you that you are the one in your party, your coalition promoting democracy, for the voters for the people of israel. that is called dictatorship. the other side is fighting to defend a judicial oligarchy because let's be honest, but oligarchy goes one way it is hard left. they appoint each other it is incestuous and so forth. because it helps the minority parties in your essay to help the opposition parties i should

say in your country, no? >> i think there are political motives very strong political motives. there's also misconceptions wrong concepts what is democracy? democracy balances the will of the majority with the rights the individual rights of the rights of the minorities. how do you achieve that balance? the founding fathers of the united states came up with the only formula that works. that formula means there is a balance of power between the executive, the legislature and the judiciary. that is what guarantees the proper balance between the will of the majority in the rights of the minority. that balance has been thrown off the rails in israel as a said the most activist judicial court anywhere on earth. we are trying to restore it. that is said to be an affront to democracy in other words it doesn't make any difference whom you elect to elected the government you voted for this or

that policy. you do not decide by the way they are respectable people. they are good i don't have anything bad to say about them as individuals. but they have not been elected they are often self-selected. they will decide instead of the people. obviously we cannot have the other side that the elected legislature old government can do anything they want without judicial review. there is a balance there we are trying to restore the balance. that is said to be the end of democracy and this is just silly. question got your hands full and despite that you're doing a fantastic job for my perspective. i want to thank you again mr. prime minister. best to you and your family. >> thank you, thank you. we will be right back. age is just a number, and mine's unlisted.
