with lies. they suggest enslaved people benefited from slavery. there is no roundtable, no lecture, no invitation. we will accept to debate an undeniable fact. >> harris: also the black republicans taking issue. senator tim scott, he said there is no silver lining and florida congressman byron donalds. the benefits of slavery is wrong and needs to be adjusted pure the controversy on one sentence and i will put on the screen here, out of 216 pages, one sentence, instruction includes health that they develop skills and applied for personal benefit. can you see in a room because probably not be a debate with these people and they seem strong about that seem to have that discussion with other blocks across the country as you are on the ground? what does it look like? >> though, first of all, those

are criticisms in bad faith because, harris, as you suggest hundreds of pages of painstaking detail. this was done by black history scholars, most black themselves. they are not showing for slavery. they are showing an injustice of slavery but that particular package was not taking slavery was a benefit. they were saying resourcefulness and people required skills in spite of slavery but not because of it. they use those when they achieve their freedom. incidentally, harris, kamala harris endorsed ap african american course, which we in florida had marxist studies and left-wing but same exact provision. the same asic provision in another curricular. nobody ever said anything and nobody said anything but these guys put this together in a public fashion. there were comments pure they were being praised because most states don't even have black history standards. we will are 1 of 14 or 15 states

when eliminated critical race theory, people lied and said we didn't want to teach about the e history of african americans. in reality, that same bill required us to develop stronger standards. that is why this working group was created. they did a good job. i think it is wrong to demagogue people, and i think a guy like me, i'm fighting back against false narratives. i do not let people like harris or the media take false narratives and run with it. we will stand our ground and speak the truth. >> harris: i look forward to cover you want the trail when you have this discussion. that is the most i've heard you talk about it. you right there clarify that sentence and it is interesting. it is an important conversation to have come and i'm glad you are having it here on "focus." glad to see you. glad to see you. >> thank yours,..
