"the ingraham angle" is next. >> ♪ ♪ ♪ >> laura: hi, everyone, i'm laura ingraham. this is "the ingraham angle" from washington tonight. thanks for joining us. all right. my angle exposing our phoney historians will be later in the show. in case you hadn't heard the great trump layer is is beyond reproach. >> right now we have a very aggressive prosecutor in jack smith. the doj would say we pursue justice without fear or favor. is he absolutely doing that. >> laura: and he is not just

unquestionably fair-minded he does cardio and weights. >> his aggressive approach to his personal health and exercise correlates to how he approaches his prosecution and his strategy. >> jack smith deliver donald trump's head as he sits in prison cell for last day. >> laura: these people should consider therapy at this point. the real jack smith is another attack dog in the kennel of anti-trump prosecutors trying to make a name for himself. the one person who counts most now is saying hey, hold your horses not so fast. cannon overseeing the trump's classified documents case slapped down the doj's patently absurd request to file motions under seal. can't have the people knowing anything about this. right? judge cannon is putting smith's team on the spot about its use of the a d.c. grand jury to gather evidence after it already indicted trump in florida using a grand jury in miami.
4:02 pm
while the case was brought, remember, in the miami federal district court, after all, so it makes a lot of sense. but a liberal d.c. grand jury is what smith, mr. unassailable prefers. now, of course, the get trump media, which has already tried to discredit judge cannon went bonkers. >> judge cannon is going to make the prosecutors work for every single thing they want to do in this case. >> classified documents case we have a judge who may be a bit of a loose cannon in terms of what the rulings will be, no pun intended. if she persists in refusing to let them make their case, then they likely will have to consider some form of action. >> laura: what is she talking about, action? what type of action? impeachment? now, to quote john macenroe, you can't be serious. >> since the attack on our capitol, the department of justice has remains committed to ensuring accountability for those criminally responsible for what happened that day. this case has brought consistent with that commitment.

>> laura: oh, that commitment? well, there's more we need to know with mr. smith's supposedly unbiased nature. the "wall street journal's" reporting that attorneys who know smith have said that he would feel like he failed if he didn't find charges to bring against a target. now, what does that tell us? attorney general merrick garland knew that he could count on smith to deliver the outcome that he wanted, when he named him the special prosecutor. and let's not forget, this from the "new york times" last year, biden has said privately that he wanted mr. garland to act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor who is willing to take decisive action. joining us now former deputy independent counsel and former assistant u.s. attorney sol wisenberg. all right, sol, late tonight trump's attorneys filed the response in that d.c. case that reads in part the government seeks to restrict first amendment rights. worse, it does so against this

you might remember her from the time she nealed for the american flag or the time she saiding about some investigate then president trump. >> are you excited to go to the white house? >> i am not [bleep] going to the white house. >> laura: classy. a lot of folks are angry that anybody could be happy about this outcome. but let this be a lesson for rapinoe and teammates. if you don't support america, don't expect for america to blindly support you here. joining me now is dan.

that reaction was something to be hold when the penalty kick didn't go in. your reaction tonight? >> i thought maybe they needed a transgender male to kick it for her. she is all for that kind of stuff. my reaction is this. a lot of people online are upset and people in the media are upset for them saying they are glad the americans lost. there was not anybody on that team you could get behind. i coached for a number of years. good teams beloved by our fan base because there was a good connection and some teams not as beloved. the politics made megan rapinoe unlikeable. there was nobody on that team where you said, wow, i really want to get behind and watch this particular person. morgan used to be that. we used to have hamm and

chastain who brought positivity to it. megan rapinoe should not have been on the pitch. she was not good enough. that kick was like a fifth grader trying to kick. she should not have been there. was the coaching staff and u.s. soccer intimidated by rapinoe's popularity. did she bully her way? she was awful in the tournament. she looked like she didn't care and wasn't good enough. combine that with her act being as a victim. you can't be a victim and lead a team. you can't act as a victim and be a leader in any walk of life. your job, my job, sports, business. victims don't lead. her being a victim and not good enough on the pitch was a real problem for the other ladies of that soccer team. >> laura: didn't it seem selfish

>> laura: a junior high god player could have made that kick, dan. good to see you. don't you love me commenting about soccer. i played field hockey. set your dvr. follow me on all of the social media. jesse watters takes over from here. >> jesse: welcome to jesse watters. tonight: >> rapinoe. >> [cheers and applause]. >> jesse: usa women choke. is it right to celebrate. >> hush up, boy. >> jesse: biden tries banning trump from talking about his own trial. >> [gavel banging]. >> guys walking past me and said move your [bleep] and spits in your face. he said move or
