all the changes are resulting in lower quality products. how are consumers taking to the green agenda. what are you hearing there? >> that's what we came here, sandra, a small, you know, family-owned appliance store. what are consumers saying. we are hearing we have to get rid of the gas ranges and buy the new electric ones, more efficient washing machines, dishwashers, all the rest. talk to a man who has his finger on the pulse. not only is rich run this for the past 35 years or so, also the president of the new jersey better business bureau, or the chairman of the board, and i want to get from you what are consumers telling you about the green energy? >> it's -- they are not really happy with the results of the outlay, initial cost is high. >> the government says you will get your money back if you buy a more efficient appliance. give me an example. this is a maytag washing

machine. a new energy efficient one. >> energy efficient and it's not meeting the requirements that are set forth for 2027, i believe. >> which get even more strict. >> that's when they get strict. this may use 12 gallons of water per wash cycle, the prior ones use maybe 40 gallons. >> so that's good. >> that's good in itself. but the problem is a lot of the newer machines and guidelines will restrict the water so much you may have to run it twice. so, it's not really doing -- you are not doing any favors to anybody, you are actually worse off. >> and take me also back to the gas, because i want to get a sense for that. are people, you know, snapping up the new electric induction cook tops and all the rest or still going gas? >> still selling gas. we have calls, am i going have to change the gas stove to electric, we have no idea yet, but they are still head strong for gas. people love gas stoves. >> maybe you see a lot of gas

avella. so, pretty much the first order of business of the pence campaign after he qualified to say we hope donald trump has the courage to be on that stage. what would a pence-trump dynamic look like in that first debate? >> what we do know, john, if the president isn't there, pence becomes the sounding board for all trump-pence administration policies, all the other republicans go after mike pence to be the proxy for donald trump and he will have to defend all of the policies of the trump administration. it will be an interesting dynamic if you have the president and his former vice president on stage debating what they discussed in the white house. all that to say this separates the tier a from the no tier. if you are not one of the ones on the debate stage in 15 days you won't have a chance to get to the white house. >> john: a lot of donald trump supporters do not like mike pence because of what happened on january the 6th. so, can he make inroads in a

debate going against trump that way? >> i think it's an interesting prediction for the republicans, you should follow up the campaign and folding chair and go home. with that being said, look at the dynamics of the race, i disagree, every one of the candidates, somehow some way touched the trump-pence agenda, whether it's nikki haley, u.n. secretary, tim scott, a loyal ally on capitol hill, every one of those candidates have touched the donald trump administration herein lies the problem. donald trump does not have to go to the debate and i would tell him not to go either. you are so far ahead in the polls. why get in the muck when you can just ride it out. for all the other candidates they need to make a decision. are we going to go against donald trump, take down the wall that is trump, understanding since 2016 to now, trump has had an overt impact on shaping the republican party to be one of his own making, why he's doing

so well in the polls. >> john: david, if you try to take down that wall, that wall is high, 53% in the real clear politics average, which is more, obviously, than all of the other candidates combined. so, even if you took, asimulated all of the support from all of the candidates you would still fall behind trump. how do you beat him? >> you have to pull voters away from donald trump. with ideas that make them say we want those -- >> john: if 3, 4 can't do it, what can? >> we are going to find out. does someone put a message together that's what i want. in 2016 donald trump was not the front-runner at this point and came out and said i'm going to secure the border, i'm a businessman who can create jobs and i'm going t take on the washington swamp and that message in the first debates had republicans saying we want that. that's the challenge for the rest of these candidates. and now that we are up to eight,

not following the normal economic course of events. administration has piled hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to jump start and create from out of whole cloth an industry and the supply chain for the industry and fuel for the industry and it's not ready for the demands placed on it and we will see nor failures. it's not ready. >> just some of what we have heard from the biden administration officials of praising pro terra and the electric vehicles in general. >> pro terra, a leading u.s. manufacturer of electric busses, batteries and charging infrastructure. they have since sold more than 1,000 electric busses. >> replacing the busses with clean technologies will create good jobs. >> we ought to be the most single significant suppliers of electric busses in the world you are going to make a difference. >> sandra: suppliers of the components that go into the

busses and vehicles, they have received enormous amounts of public subsidies to then go on to fail. they are on the screen, robert. so this a premature push by the administration? >> sandra, thanks for having me on. i actually know both of these companies, lordstown, specialty trucking and pro terra busses. and what's interesting, lordstown, just to recall, the one that president trump touted in 2019 as the manufacturing boom and pro terra as you heard president biden. so, both of these have been highlighted by both presidents. each of these are specialty e.v.s and i would say both were premature to be public sector companies. neither of them should have been ipo. if they stayed private and went slowly instead of ramped up this spak crazy venture ipo phase, they may have succeeded but they

ramped up too fast and you said and douglas said, these are not catching on. it's going to be slow and steady and very different than the electric vehicle market where you look at tesla, they made an announcement their cyber truck was two years delayed, it did not impact them at all. the global e.v. market around 35%. but your point, sandra, it is sluggish in the u.s.. the e.v. market -- >> sandra: you have a consumer that's struggling and administration ignoring the fact, surprises up 16% since the president took office and that's ignored. that little portion of the screen, bottom right, we are told by this white house he's going to tout his economic policies as a major success. they continue to coin it bidenomics, doug. and kamala harris said a minute ago, she said wages are up. no, they are not. they are gobbled up by inflation, and real wages are

down 3% right now. >> the average person is not getting anything out of this. two important points, number one, these tax reductions, tax rates go to very large corporations and these are going broke and to affluent americans. any other circumstance it would be called trickle-down, but this is called bidenomics. the average guy is not the market, not the target of the policies. troubling part about this, seen the movie before, once you give money to a company and they lose money, will we give them more. will you see the repeted attempt oh, we didn't make a mistake, another couple hundred billion, this is fine. worth keeping an eye on. >> sandra: we brought jerry baker on from the wall street journal, president biden said bidenomics coined by the wall street journal, it was not meant to be a compliment but picking winners and losers in the private sector. it's not supposed to be their

sharing intelligence on zelenskyy's location. morgan ortagus. if the plot is to be believed, it seems russia has gone back to believe the best way to win the war take out the symbol of defiance. >> they want to try to take the king off the chess board, so to speak. this is not new, we saw it early on in the invasion a year and a half ago, reports the russians were trying to kill zelenskyy. that is going to be an ongoing problem and challenge for zelenskyy. you have the issue there geographically close, that's how russia invaded. also plenty of ukrainians that speak russian. it's very easy from an intelligence perspective to exploit that relationship with these assets. so i would say thank god ukrainian intelligence was able

to stop her but not the first or last time we hear about the plots. >> john: ukraine says they was caught "red handed," suggests that she was a ukrainian person, obviously a russian sympathizer and a whole lot of those in that area of the country. they seem to be pretty certain about this whole thing. >> they do. i mean, listen. we are not immune from this as well. we saw last week as the show reported we had two american sailors based in california who were giving secrets over to the chinese. so, this does happen, unfortunately, in military and intelligence situations. i think it shows the resiliency of the ukrainian intelligence services that they were able to co-op this. but let's not forget the bigger picture here, the bigger story. russians, what they tend to do, is blame the west, blame ukraine for all the problems they are facing but in reality they are the ones as you report just

showed before i came on, they are the ones attacking things like a blood transfusion center over the weekend. the world health organization estimates that the russians have done at least 700 attacks on healthcare facilities in the last year in ukraine. healthcare facilities, not military targets, healthcare facilities. so, that is the ever-present danger that zelenskyy and the ukrainian forces are dealing with. assassination attempts and going after civilian infrastructure, healthcare workers, the russians have even kidnapped thousands of ukrainian children. they will stop at nothing. they are a desperate and injured animal who are lashing out and will stop at nothing until they get their angles. >> john: the ukrainian counteroffensive does not seem to be going as well, and now a poll finds congress should authorize more spending for ukraine, 45% say yes, 55% of people say no.

and 51% say the u.s. has done enough here. so, you know, what's the future for ukraine here? if american support is waning, and looks like the counteroffensive is not going the way they wanted it to, how much longer can they hold out? >> well, i think there are two things we have to remember here, and these both fall squarely on the shoulders of the president, president biden and his administration. first of all, the world, and especially europe, is in this predicament because biden and his team failed to deter putin from invading ukraine in the first place. that was a historic and monumental deterrence failure that will have ramifications around the world in theater after theater including with xi jinping in taiwan. secondly, the administration has been heavily criticized because unlike the trump administration where president trump gave military and lethal aid to the ukrainians during his administration, the biden administration cut that off. they did not give military

lethal aid to ukrainians until after they invaded. similarly, biden has been consistently criticized often times by senators of his own party for being so slow in making -- in getting more and more lethal aid so you think about the abrams tanks, f-16, cluster munitions. cluster munitions are having an effect on the ground now. where were they six months ago when people were calling for them. so it's just deliberately that has them in the position they are in now. >> john: effective by highly controversial, those weapons. morgan, good to talk to you. thanks so much, appreciate it. sandra. >> sandra: john, fox news obtaining startling new images of cartel gunmen armed with rifles and wearing body armor walking freely into the united states. it comes as the president is in arizona with no plans to visit the border.

court. it has brought one time political enemies and put them on the same page. congressman adam schiff from california and donald trump both want the trial televised. both have different motives, but they believe the american people should see what happens in the courtroom. it's up to the judicial conference of federal judges. judge tanya chutkan is presiding over the case. it's unlikely she would allow it to happen but there is always exceptions that can be made. are always exceptions. now, last night a judge told both the trump team and government, judge chutkan, to hash out differences over a protective order. the order originally proposed by the government would limit what donald trump could say or type out on social media regarding the case. a truth social post over the weekend, he said "if you go after me, i'm coming after you." special counsel jack smith's team took it as a threat potentially to witnesses or even
