defend. not that the border should be closed immediately. it's not stressing that. but that this is all making democrats look bad to voters. i mean, liberal politicians, they never cared before because, number one, before the biden influx, illegals were generally kind of absorbed by the border states and, number two, as a result, when it was elections time there was that real political price to be paid by the democrats. again, desantis and abbott brilliant. these strategic moves exposed democrats for who they really are. utter frauds. >> the faucet is flowing. we have to stop the flowing faucet. we have to make sure we have a real decompression strategy at the border. it's not sustainable when you look at 10,000 a month. the math just does not add up. >> laura: the math does not add up. the decompression strategy. can't even say enforce the darn border. because eric adams is a partisan

instead of a straight shooter he really cannot be honest. can he not bring himself to say what we all know that this is all on biden for flinging open the border in the first place. >> are you frustrated with the biden administration? do you place blame on them for more welcoming stance that has led to this record surge. >> there is a lot of blame to go around. again, all the republicans have been blocking real immigration reform. what's at the heart of all of this, for me, is what is more american than the right to work? >> laura: aha, there you have it. like all globalists adams believes that borders are really in essence immoral. especially the united states border. he believes that anyone anywhere in the world has an inherent right to be an american. and because republicans haven't cooperated in that insane idea, they're really to blame for the migrant mess. , the truth is far easier to process though, right?

liberals like illegals, as long as they are nannying their kids and mowing their lawns, but they don't want their own lives inconvenienced or their own landscape to be obscured by the turbines in case of environmental ism. they don't want to have to deal with any unpleasant political fallout. this all reminds me of the lockdowns, of course that the liberals instituted during covid. they would love to bring them back if they could by the way. they love keeping the little people at home. they love chasing them off the beach. but they didn't want it to cramp their social life or their beauty parlor appointments. no, no of course, no. what is good for the goose is good for the gander. if massachusetts supports did overwhelmingly voted for biden. massachusetts should have to be forced to live with the consequences of that policy. now, we saw how the liberal bleeding hearts on martha's vineyard react when a near 50 migrants arrived in town there which, of course, also is the obama summer playground.

after they staged a few photo ops of middle-aged island residents handing out sandwiches and hugging the migrants, those migrants were all summarily shipped off island. the compassion meter in edgar town stalled out at about # 48 hours. ever since the late 90's, 1996 was my first report on the border under clinton, i have known this was a problem. and some democrats, even did care about the issue back then. but over time, it became clear that they do not give a rat's you know what about either the migrants themselves or the working class americans hurt by their flooding into the country and the democrats still don't care. did you know that last year more than 152,000 unaccompanied minor children crossed our border? and so far this year it's tens of thousands. where are the democrats on this? where is the squad? remember how they trashed trump for the conditions at briefly

existed before he got the border under control? so why isn't nancy pelosi raising a ruckus over the growing child labor epidemic that's occurred under biden? i will tell you why. because they don't care. so the question now is when will the voters in new england, the pacific northwest, new york, and illinois, when will they start to care? remember, president reagan won a land slight slide in 1980 and really in 1984 when democrat states across america finally decided that they had had it with a bad economy and out-of-touch bureaucracy. that same kind of reawakening needs to happen again for us to really start turning things around. message to our democrat-run cities and states, if new yorkers had elected lee zeldin and not kathy hochul, things would already be improving in a state like that. now things are only getting worse. ditto in california. ditto in illinois.

experiencing this to fully understand what is going on and when enough of them do, i there it will take us to the table to have a serious conversation about real immigration reform and fixes our southern border. >> laura: when you say real immigration reform i hear amnesty. >> nope. >> laura: i don't trust the likes of any of these democrat governors, pritzker, newsom, any of these people would not be honest, you know, good faith partners in any of this if they were in national office, right? there is just no way. these senators will never never agree to deport anyone except maybe a murderer every now and then. they don't believe anyone should ever be deported either. they just don't believe that. >> i'm at the point -- first of all, this is a crime against the american people. every year the drugs that are flooding, in the crime, it's costing us $151 billion a year by the time you total it all up for the american taxpayer. but i'm not talking about

now, check this out a man in his 70s craig d. low robinson made multiple violent threats of joe biden's life ahead of the president's visit to that state. yesterday morning in a predawn raid he was killed by fbi agents hours before biden was set to arrive in salt lake city. now, the fbi reports that he was armed but the other details surrounding interaction that led to robertson's death were vague. we reached out to the bureau to ask if the individual brandished his weapon at the agents or pointed it or discharged it. we asked for any details about the incident. but the fbi responded by saying "it would not be able to comment on our questions at this time." not able or not willing. not clear. but, let us be clear, violent threats against the president should always be investigated and, of course, charges filed when warranted. but it is also totally reasonable to ask for more

information about how an obese man in his 70s, who had documented mobility issues, posed the threat that was described. now, associates said that robertson was a frail individual. he used a hand carved stick, apparently as a cane. his neighbor andrew said while he regularly did carry a weapon, guns, a lot of people do out west, there is no way that he was driving from here to salt lake city, he said, setting up a rifle, and taking a shot at the president. 100 percent no way. travis lee clark, who has he known robertson from years from working at their church ward together described robertson as a boomer. he was very political, sometimes made off colored jokes. but nothing that indicated it was a threat. now, it's entirely possible that robertson did represent a threat beyond what the neighbors may have perceived but there is no possibility that apparently ever that excessive force may have been used here or that we're, you know, only reserving a

concern for police involved shootings in the inner city when we are talking about excessive force possibilities? former fbi officials turned talking heads were quick to jump to play defense. >> they could not let this go on any further without taking this guy into custody. they needed to execute that warrant just to take him to neutralize the threat. >> we have seen it before. people incited to violence. someone else's ideology. we saw it in droves on january 6th, so it keeps happening and i'm sorry to say, we may continue to see this happening. >> laura: well, executing a warrant, of course. but that doesn't mean you execute an individual if it's not warranted. now, this is absurd though what you heard that last agent say because it kind of amounts to a smear, implicit, at least, of millions of americans who may have supported president trump or other conservatives implying that they can't be trusted or, i don't know, is it when in doubt shoot first, ask questions later? now, we're going to continue to

home was raided by the fbi last september. he is also running for congress in pennsylvania. mark, good for you, does this surprise you given your own experience and what do you think should happen at this point to chris wray? first of all, i'm a roman catholic. i don't know who they are talking about these traditional radical catholics. i guess they are just people who believe in roman c catholicism t this point. >> yeah. well, it's obvious to me two things are happening here, laura. the first thing is director wray is not doing his own personal investigation as it pertains to my situation because i was raided by the fbi. surprised i wasn't shot like mr. and he did not do a personal investigation as it pertains to the richmond memo. or, the second thing, he flat out perjured himself before the oversight committee. either way, he -- it's clear the doj is targeting people of faith and declaring them enemies of

the state. >> laura: well, you see this and you think this can't be happening in the united states of america where religious liberty is sacrosanct and our free exercise rights protected under the first amendment. so, you know, the liberals love the establishment clause but we also have the free exercise clause and it seems, mark, that religious beliefs are under attack in a whole host of ways. this article, you are not going to believe this, called devout catholic couple claims that massachusetts banned them from participating in the state foster care system due to their religious beliefs. they claim that the state restricted them due to their adherence to catholic teachings on gender, sexuality and marriage. mark, something like this has to be challenged and ultimately make its way to the supreme court. but, did you ever think it would arrive at this day in the united states of america when something like this could happen? >> look, i woke up one friday

morning prepared to take my children to their home school co-opt. i had a quiche in the oven, at 6:30 in the morning i had a pre-dawn raid with heavily armored fbi agents, 20-plus law enforcement. i could never imagine that my children would be woken up in the middle of a slumber and that their father would be arrested and accosted in front of them and taken away in shackles. so, yeah. it doesn't surprise me what is happening in massachusetts. i'm not surprised. people who want to foster kids that are in the system, they have a great heart. they have a generous heart. and to deny them because of faith makes absolutely no sense to me. >> laura: well, catholic adoption agencies, of course, will close down because of their faithful beliefs as well. mark, you were the best person on this tonight. thank you so much. now, if there's a boy in a new jersey public school and he says, well, he wants to go by she or her, change the pronouns,

he can use the girl's bathroom or the locker room for the girls and here's the kicker, parents, his parents, don't need to be told about it. this is thanks to democrat governor phil murphy. well, schools are now not required to alert parents if children want to change their gender identity. some districts are basically telling employees to lie it the parents. one new jersey teacher told the angle that it's become trendy for kids to change their gender. i have heard the same thing. and while the so-called preferred pronouns are used in the school's grading systems, she was told to never tell the parents. we're hiding it from them. how do you think the parents reacted? >> it's my right as a parent to be notified if they were to request a change in their gender identity at school. if my child went to school and asked the teacher for an accommodation to use a different bathroom, i would expect a phone call. it is not their job to fix the

broken in my home. i'm tired trying to co-parent with me. telling me what's right for my family. >> laura: thankfully some districts respect parental rights and requiring teachers to say if a child requests different pronounce. murphy sued and for three of those districts, it's actually heading to court next week. joining me now is one of those mothers you saw in that clip katherina so he can also a ski. katherina, why is this so critical to you as a mother? >> it's extremely critical to me it involves my children. my parental rights are trying to be taken away from me because the state wants to enforce a knew policy. the state wants teachers to lie to children.

phil murphy almost got defeated last time he was running for re-election. i wish he did because this is disgusting acots board. the new jersey department of education says that if a parent disagrees, katherina with the school calling the child a different name or pronoun, the school should side with the child family counseling. in other words change the parent's mind. your reaction to that development? >> it's horrific. it's horrific. children are still very young. they are minors. they don't know what they want to eat for dinner. they don't know anything at that age. they are still naive. so, for the schools to push this on a child to help a child transition into the opposite gender it's frightening. who are risk to know they are doing this behind my back. >>

>> laura: caterina, i have a chance to talk to a lot of moms because i'm a mom of three teenagers. i have heard the most outrageous stories from my home state of connecticut and around the country that this is trendy to change your gender or do different pronouns and that it's like -- it catches on like a trend, like a tiktok trend. suddenly go from one child saying he or she is transgender to a friend group, an entire friend group becoming nonbinary or proclaiming a different pronoun. have you heard that to be happening as well? it is like a tiktok trend? >> i do feel that it's becoming like a tiktok trend. it's like the newest and coolest thing to do. but what these children don't understand are the repercussions of transitioning to the opposite gender. once you do that, you can't go back to becoming who you were.

>> laura: take a deeper look at a man named amos hochstein, he served as special envoy for international business affairs under the obama-biden administration. not only was hochstein in communication with hunter and hunter's associates at burisma when the first son was serving on that firm's board, but now we have gotten our hands on a photo showing biden being briefed by hochstein on board air force 2 on december 6th, 2015. now why is that date important? well, biden was on his way that

hunter biden was selling influence and access but it was an allusion. and, there's no proof that joe biden got an envelope full of money or a direct deposit to his account; therefore, there's nothing here. democrats have constantly said stop asking questions because you don't have that type of direct evidence of benefits. well, that's just ridiculous. i mean, obviously, all of these payments benefit joe biden. it's going to the biden family fund. you know, joe biden is 80 years old. he is worth at least $8 million. he is not going to spend that people at his age, his wealth, are largely preoccupied during these days with leaving a legacy for their children, for their grandchildren. this was a great benefit in that sense. now, you also have emails that have references to paying some of joe biden's bills, arranging for free offices and other expenses. but even putting that aside, to

say that $20 million going to his children and grandchildren wouldn't influence him or benefit him is just facially ridiculous. >> laura: also one trusted fbi informant, professor, i think did say that they wanted to avoid direct payments to joe biden. i mean, these people might be stupid in some ways but they are not that stupid. i mean, you exercise influence peddling not necessarily by having a direct deposit, as you said. i mean, that's just goofy. no one thinks that but the idea that you have to prove like a money trail that goes -- that just flies in the case of common sense and how these things work. >> that's right. being a crook doesn't mean you are a moron. moron would take direct deposit night an account into the biden family or send some zel transfer. it's not done. the bidens are very good in this. they have been in the influence peddling business for decades.

there have been articles not just hunter but the president's brother openly selling his access according to critics. so they have been at this a long time. hunter biden himself told a chinese counterpart we're the best at this. tell the chairman. they probably are. but here's the weird thing is that you have got this labyrinth of accounts, right? two dozen different shell company accounts that have no discernible pursuance except to hide the money transfers going to the biden family and, yet democrats are demanding the one thing that is the least likely to appear. despite that whole apparatus to transfer money, someone was giving a direct deposit slip to joe and jill biden. i mean, how crazy is that? so we have to, i think, deal with the reality that this is what influence peddling is. >> laura: this is what it looks like. it's not a direct line. professor, breaking today, we learned that jack smith is

requesting, the special prosecutor, a january 2nd, 2024 court date in the january 6th trial. meaning that president biden would be essentially tied up in washington, d.c. for at least six weeks right in the heat of the g.o.p. primary schedule. your reaction? >> well, laura, it's really interesting with all the criticism that the bias in washington. jack smith picked the very anniversary for the trial of the january sixth riots for a trial in the city where it occurred. it almost invites a prejudicial impact on the trial. so i think it's a very unfortunate choice. and it's occurring right before these primaries. >> well, and i will just add something that's not a legal point here but also, it's almost like let's ruin his holiday, too. i mean, i have been in enough trials. january 2nd is not a common

looming real estate bubble about to burst. here is kevin, former chair of the economic advisor committee of donald trump. you were the first to suggest a recession a few years back. so your response to the banks suggest otherwise? >> that's right, we had two negative quarters, nobody called and a recession because of what was going on at the white house, now if you look at the futures markets, they say that the feds have stopped raising rates, but we have rates that are flat, consistent with inflation sticking to where it is not going down, so if the feds chicken out and inflation stays high, it's possible we won't have a recession and either the way i think about it, laura, it's kind of like covid-19. what will happen will be there will be some times when it's low, sometimes you will get a new strain. for inflation, just like

covid-19, there's a new strain out there right now, gas prices, oil price it is both skyrocketing, we have a real time reading for august of 1%, which is 12% of the manual rate. so inflation is not under control. that is why the economy is inching along. >> laura: just moments ago, president joe biden was asked about inflation reduction act in and off-camera fundraiser thing that i wish i hadn't called at that, it has less to do with inflation than it does providing alternatives to economic growth and that's what we have said. [laughter] >> i hate to be the bad guy here, but it means that gdp is going up and it means if it's going up, then it's going down

they have invested in all the stuff that doesn't make sense with green energy and we are just now finding out about it. >> they say that the gdp next year is going to be about 1%. they have not change projection about that. 1%? and we will be in the part of the european counterparts. >> the way to think about it is there's so many things as you mentioned and commercial real estate, banks hold $6 trillion in debt and right now the credit agencies just downgraded the debt were commercial real estate by 20% and so it's up by 20% and basically the banks are going to go down and so the point is we are smoking a cigarette and wondering, you know, it didn't
