inflation number. it steeps out food and gas, core inflation is 4.7%. we are not out of the woods yet. to counter the president's statement, the sound bite we just played, the reason that you are seeing inflation a little bit lower is because the job the fed has done hiking interest rates time and time again. the reason we haven't lost jobs in this economy is you still have some of these stimulus programs that haven't been reined in and people are still spending. when it comes together as the perfect storm being set up to be this economy will suffer. he can go celebrate this all he wants but this was a climate change bill. he finally acknowledged that. americans are paying the price and the rest of the world isn't doing anything about climate change. >> the people who benefit from this climate bill are rich people and rich companies or cronies, quite frankly. i will quote more from what was

presented the diversion agreement which they signed, which we signed, and as an agreement of which they have described it as being a stand alone, independent bilateral agreement with two signatures on it. that agreement is different than the plea. the plea did not go forward. the diversion agreement is already filed in court and it has the signatures necessary for it to be binding. >> the original deal had hunter biden pleading guilty to tax and gun charges in exchange for lighter punishment, two misdemeanors on the tax charges. bill holloway former assistant district attorney and legal advisor to georgia sheriff's department great to see you. this is my opinion and i'm just as an outsider looking in. this seems like performance art. and for show because david weiss, before he was named special counsel, as the attorney in delaware worked side-by-side

prosecute and investigate joe biden's son for things that may even include his own father's participation. in ever there was a need for a true independent counsel, this is the case. it's no wonder that hunter's lawyers are going to be fighting tooth and nail to keep that diversion agreement in effect if they can. they'll try to enforce it just like it were a contract, dagen. they will say we had an offer, acceptance, a meeting of the minds and therefore we get our sweetheart deal. but i don't agree. i think that weiss is correct here in his publicly stated opinion. i think this diversion agreement was contingent upon other things. the other things didn't fall into place, namely the judge signing off on it and approving it. they want it because this is what keeps hunter biden out of prison and out of jail for that gun charge. the statute of limitations is running on that. they will need to file something

to see what i saw in those two people. if they get to know them and their policies i think they will continue to rise in the polls. >> vivek ramaswamy going viral after an exchange with an activist who confronted him on lgbtq issues. >> free adults should be free to dress and behave how they want but you don't become oppressive by fiftying foisting that on others. we can be civil and have this conversation. >> that is a conversation, not a debate. >> vivek ramaswamy is one of the best, if not the best out there in this kind of engagement. there is a reason why he is doing so well because he can articulate the message. he has lived it.

i did a podcast with him and spent a half hour talking through his story. it is impressive. he talks the talk and when you see him in action, responding to people's questions, that's why those types of videos go viral. he is able to make the argument and do so in a respectful way but actually win the argument. that's what margaret thatcher always taught. win the argument and then win the votes. that's what vivek ramaswamy is doing. >> that's what the makeup wearing chatter boxes, you and me, miss because we aren't on the ground every day. but we try to pick these up when we can. i want to move on to this. a catholic couple in massachusetts has filed a lawsuit earlier this month claiming they've been denied a foster child because of their religious beliefs. here is part of an interview with mike and kitty burke. >> we believe that the reason we were rejected is because we were

very vocal about the fact that we are practicing catholics. >> one of the things of our catholic faith we love one another as god has loved us. i would love that child no matter like my mother loved me whenever i did something wrong. >> the real issue at stake here is whether or not religious families should be allowed to foster and adopt here. massachusetts say all people are allowed to participate in society. >> bill mcgurn writes the massachusetts dcf noted that kitty and mike are devoutly roman catholic and not only attend church regularly but both also work for local churches as musicians. once upon a time that would be an endorsement. today it's an indictment. they were found unfit to be trusted with a child. lines up with the f.b.i. was doing coordinating with portland

and los angeles investigating catholics, right? >> this is a sad story. here you have a loving couple who wants to be foster parents. and evidently the reason they filed suit and i'm so glad they did. the only excuse that the state of massachusetts came up with is their religious beliefs. now, that is not a valid -- you're right. it should be an endorsement. these are loving people who want to love a child and help raise that child. what the state of massachusetts is saying no, we would much rather keep them under the ward of the state as opposed to being embedded with a loving family. a family that says if that child chooses to be an lgbtq person they will still love them. they will love them no matter what. and that is just sad. there is some foster child who is not in a family and they could be.

>> bog boggles the mind. speaking of insanity, president biden was in milwaukee yesterday to brag about his economy and repeated several debunked stories. >> president biden: my grandpa biden, who died very young, died in the hospital i was born in six days before i was there. i'm the first one to cut the federal debt by 1,000,000,000,700 billion. this guy, i won't mention his name. i would get him in trouble. one of the senior guys in amtrak who i rode with all the time comes up and goes joey baby, grabs my cheek. true story. i swear to god. >> some fact checking. according to an obituary his grandfather died more than a year before he was born. the national debt is up $5
