idea, freedom. that would be nice. presidential candidate vivek ramaswamy is speaking out against tyranny of minority and new oppression that seeks to punish people for having a different opinion. vivek made his case with an exchange with an lgbtq activist at iowa state fair and it's gone viral. >> i am personally pansexual, i was wondering your view on same-sex couples is? >> i don't have a negative view -- in name of protecting tyranny of majority, we have in the name of majority created new tyranny of the mind and i think that is wrong. i don't think somebody religious should be forced to officiate a wedding they disagree with.

i don't think a woman should be forced to compete against a biological man, i don't think anyone who is a woman should be forced to change clothes in a locker room with a man, that is not freedom, that is oppression. free adults should be able to dress how they want, that is fine. you don't become oppressive by hoisting that on others. it comes from the new culture of oppression where saying those things can get somebody punished and in my case, part of why it is my responsibility to say them and i respect you may have a different opinion and that is okay. you and i can be civil and have conversation and we live in a country that gives each of us right to speak to a presidential candidate back and say that we pledge of allegiance to the same

media. one person said this guy, vivek ramaswamy, is interesting, nice and is not 900 years old. other people felt it was so perfect, it was staged, i think that is because people are thrown off by civility. to me, it read as authentic. >> kayleigh: 13 million plus views, enormous, people appreciate civil discourse. you could have different opinions and go eat twinkies at the state fair. >> he is on a smooth, upward trajectory, he is meeting people where they are in every state, in every context and he's fearless when he talks to people and it really is, you bring up a good word. it is a model for discussing things, not only if you want someone's vote, but to find

common ground. that is important, finding common ground and stating his belief and desire to let this person know why he's having a hard time, why he's fired up and passionate and running for president. that is how, it is like we have seen families ripped apart, people we love most that we can no longer talk to or be in the same room with because of politics. for so long, people have gotten attention for being divisive and here is someone who is not necessarily in the spotlight to bring people together, but that happens to be the follow-through to what he's doing. he's showing people we can find common ground and talk to each other. we can have differences and in those differences, we don't have to hate each other. we are all american. can you imagine if he were vice president. someone like this able to articulate the points he has, can you imagine someone like

reminds me of the oliver anthony song going viral. this is how americans feel on a number of issues issue not just transgenderism, about 4% of the population identify as gender different than their sex. the other 95% are being asked to give up safety and fairness in women sports and restrooms and accommodate language barrier to use preferred pronouns, even if they disagree with this. climate change, 30% think climate change is priority government should be setting on top. the other 70%, what do we have to deal with? federal government that is forcing new emission standards on us, trying to ban gas stoves and we don't want any of it. what he's talking about here is important message american public agrees with and they are tired of feeling oppressed and

understand value of foster care and adoption, they live in a democratic state and are observant catholics. only mark against them. talk about what the state of massachusetts is saying, not just anticatholic bigotry. think about this, 19% of thousands in the foster care system are not placed with families. they are placed in hospitals because there is nowhere else to put them or placed in foster care agency offices without sufficient bedding and you are saying a catholic couple can't adopt kids in desperate need. that is awful. >> carley: one little boy i volunteered with him and the sister overseeing him said i want to be eaten by an alligator. what six year old boy should say

the hook when they choose to go to the university, $55,000 a year for graduate students. sure, they are getting 40 grand but they are in the red to what they are paying. should taxpayers be in a totally different way funding the bad choices of people who are going to make millions moreover their lifetime than two-thirds of americans who will be on the hook for it? >> invent a word, not, at all, of course not. harvard gets $53 billion endowment. you know how much money that is? countries don't have that as gdp. 80,000 all in. if i want to send my kid to harvard, 320,000 over four years. i have to earn and my wife $600,000 before taxes to send one kid to college. i'm sure they have enough money to give out free meals, kraft macaroni and cheese. >> $0.99 a box.

today the u.s.s. intrepid was commissioned into active military service. the ship now a military maritime history museum in new york city welcomed back nearly 200 former crew members and their family members to a special ceremony this morning. the intrepid was first deployed to the pacific ocean during world war ii. it was attacked by japanese kamikazes and the ship also saw action during the vietnam and cold wars. since first commissioned, more than 50,000 people served on the legendary aircraft carrier and joe concha, i understand, has been done it. >> i didn't fight off of it or anything, it was a new year's eve party in 1998, 1 of those all you could drink deals and it was a catastrophe. but having been there with my kids as well, this thing is huge. three football fields long, 912 feet long, 192 feet wide. it went through an overhaul in 1965, so it could be used again in vietnam.
