we begin with president biden's visit to maui. nearly two weeks after those historic and devastating wildfires that ripped through the town of lahaina killed 114 people, hundreds more missing. the president stuck around for just about six hours in the middle of his vacation at a billionaire's lake tahoe mansion, his second vacation in a month. the president's arrival in maui was anything, but welcome. angry residents protested the mo motorcad, with some chanting go home, joe. he saw the homes and scorched streets and spoke with community members who lost everything. just moments later, the
9:02 am
president took to the podium and compare the deadliest wildfire in u.s. history to a kitchen fire in delaware. >> president biden: i don't want to compare difficulties but we have a little sense, jill and i what it is like to lose a home. years ago, 15 years ago, i was in washington doing "meet the press" on a sunny sunday and lightning struck at home on a little lake outside of our home, a big pond and hit a wire and came up underneath our home into the heat ing air conditioning ducts. long story short, i almost lost my wife, my '67 corvette and my cat. >> kayleigh: harris, it doesn't take much to realize there is no

9:04 am
out his two sons had survived and what that is like. i can get it. coupled with the other, you are always given a grade and z grade, you have never just get a consoler in chief who can give you a grade aught the time. my guest last hour asked a great question. why didn't he pick up obama, who was born in the state of hawaii and they both gone on air force one? i don't think he is thinking through and who is on his staff who let's him flight after democrats eviscerated people like trump for not being president of the moment when things happen. being loo at look at katrina. let him board a flight to go back to a vacation in tahoe. >> kayleigh: my takeaway from

9:06 am
academy in 1965 by senator who i was running against in 1972. never planned it that way, i wasn't old enough to be sworn in, i was 29 years old. fine man, jay caleb boggs. >> the "new york post" facts checked this. no evidence he was ever arrested, no evident he visited tree of life synagogue. the job at lumber company, representatives said it was newing to them. the whousz has a hard job, kevin. >> kevin: my heart breaks for the victims. it was important for the president to go. this president is best when he is consoling and sticks to the conversation about losing his wife and daughter in the tragic

9:08 am
they were able to be by his side. also wondering how someone could be heartless to say he knew how i felt little over 24 hours learning of my son's death. >> kayleigh: sometimes you just say i feel your pain, no compare stories. >> carley: such a powerful moment from that gold star mom. i want to focus on president biden. people on maui deserve more attention, that is the issue, they are not getting enough. if this fire ripped through a town on long island and new yorkers were forced to drive to the beach and jump in the atlantic ocean, it would be around the news. and that is what just happen.
9:09 am
there are untold number of americans and children who have died, some in the most horrific way possible and like harris said, over 800 mising. thousands of wondering where they are. why is that taking so long to figure out? there are questions like this official in hawaii, who may have waited five hours to release water. if he would have released it sooner, could more lives have been saved. this is about the people, not the president and he made a mistake, i understand what he's trying to do to inject himself in a way to say i understand, when it is lesser tragedy like a kitchen fire, it doesn't compare. one moment more, i think this is most attention this story will get and it is not enough.
9:10 am
i spoke to a resident of maui who said what he needs most issue fast-track permits, clean the area, hierarch tekts to start drawing up options for housing. i don't know what level of government is responsible, that needs to happen now. >> kayleigh: yeah, it does. the reason the president gets away from this, you compare and carley describe to george w bush, trump, natural disaster and coverage they got, he gets away with it because of the media. in article reflective on missed steps of the president, he is adept at leading with empathy, rare period of public dispassion from biden, they cover for him when what he did was unexcusable. >> kara: exactly. he led with truth, that would be
9:11 am
different, he tends to exaggerate. there is human inclination to filter your experience in the world from yourself. how do i identify with that? that is on steroids and exaggeration component. he is gravely out of touch. he took a break between vacations to do this, this is at the same time requesting hundreds of billions in aid from the american people to ushg yoo. we did analysis 900 per american will go to ukraine from the hundredses of billions of dollars. $700 in maui. >> harris: it came up when our people on the ground were interviewing victims in hawaii, they mentioned that. how different if president biden
