focus on educational achievement. i went every kid to enjoy that. part of the problem is we also have a federal government that pays single women more not to have a man in the house then to have a man in the house and shepherding to an epidemic of fatherlessness. that goes hand in glove with the education crisis as well because we have to remember education starts with the family and the nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind. stephen vogt initially talked to on the ground and say how vivek ramaswamy was an impressive speaker for the conversations about policy with abortion taken center stage. all the candidates identified as pro-life. but differed. >> we must reverse it so that middle-class families have a chance to succeed again. we cannot succeed as a country if you are working hard and you can't afford groceries, a car, or a new home. congress spends trillions and

would instruct each of the 93 u.s. attorneys that they are to take over the prosecution of violent crime in every one of those cities that are failing to do so. we need to make sure that each and every one of these criminals understand that the laws apply to everybody. when hunter biden fills out a fake application, a false application for a gun permits, and then you have a justice department that walks away from those charges, we are telling people about the law doesn't apply to everybody. nsb for administration, he would go to jail for ten years. >> while people continue to struggle, ron desantis say no rural americans can make ends meet. he also took a swing at president joe biden. >> we cannot succeed as a country if you are working hard and you can't afford groceries, a car, or a new home. hunter biden can make hundreds

nonetheless, without him in the hall, we were able to hear the policy positions of different candidates. and here is one of the most stark differences. you have got nikki haley who has represented the united states and the united nations as ambassador. you have got vivek ramaswamy who for the most part wants to change everything we are doing regarding taiwan, israel, and also ukraine. and here is when they got into it. >> a win for russia is a win from china. we have to know that. ukraine is the first line of defense for us. a problem that vivek doesn't understand is he wants to hang ukraine to russia. he wants to let china eat taiwan pretty want to go and stop funding israel. you don't do that to friends. but you do instead is you have a box of your friends. ukraine is the front line of defense. putin has said, once russia takes ukraine, poland and the

essentially people and their comments from last night. we sent a couple of weeks ago that two weeks after the first debate, we wouldn't be surprised if the poll standings in the republican party change. trump on top followed distance second by ron desantis. i would not be surprised if those do wind up in second and third place in no time. which suddenly means i wonder if donald trump is going to wind up -- >> maybe nikki haley hit him yesterday. several times talking about the debt that he put us in and saying it's time for an accountant in the white house and trump was the most disliked politician in america. we have to face this. i will be curious to how trump will respond to that. she is falling well right now. so is vivek. his response was interesting to israel. he said, i like what israel does at its border. i like the iron dome. he didn't say -- he didn't

defend himself by saying i don't want to give israel any more american dollars. that's concerning to a lot of americans. >> he tied it in with our border. >> when he talked about ukraine, he said he doesn't want us to send money to ukraine. have your upload more of their weight which most americans would agree with. nikki haley said it's a pro-american country, ukraine, invaded by a thug. we have given less than 3.5% of our defense budget to ukraine, a win for russia is a win for china. putin would move into poland in the baltics if we don't prevent this. the taiwan thing -- i don't think that was brought up. i don't think he addressed taiwan. china can have taiwan. it a talk about that last night? i don't remember him bringing that up. do you, brian? >> we are going to get our manufacturing out of taiwan. if china wants to take taiwan in 2028, that's okay with him. which is insane.

keep in mind, as nikki haley backed up with facts, it's not that the europeans aren't giving money. a percentage of their gdp, they are. we are the ones that haven't delivered the abrams tanks for the equipment. we are the ones who have not trained a single pilot to be an f-16 fighter. why is it that the lindsey graham's, the mike mccaul have to do all these and nikki haley, all the explaining for this war. because this president has got the worst foreign policy in things ever. the fact is, he is right to back ukraine. he was wrong not to get ukraine ready to defend itself to prevent an invasion to begin with bread that is why people aren't comfortable. nikki haley is 100% right. that is where vivek -- vivek is really susceptible. that's a tough sell my curtains foreign policy is don't say enforce the border or ukraine. they are two separate piles of money.

a lot of biographies. now it's time to check out all sides feel how they did right here. in the spin room. >> the scrum is with nikki haley. how did you do? >> great in terms of explaining why i'm different from everyone on this date she was a neocon. the difference at times, i was on stage with joe biden and liz cheney when in fact within the republican primary. that kind of debate is great. we are getting warmed up. one of the things i learned about politics is a lot of professional politicians will say anything to be able to make their point even if it is outright false. my focus was not was not on attacking other candidates. it was delivering my message. i think we succeeded at that scale that i'm pretty happy with. >> where you flattered to be attacked? >> yes, i was. it was a great badge of honor. a former vice president of the united states and another one u.n. ambassador and governor. another different governor of a different state coming for a 38-year-old guy who is a

political newcomer who is a first-time debate stage. i did think it was pretty flattering. it was a great experience. >> when chris christie said there's another guy on the stage you said he had a funny name with skinny arms and any equated you to president obama, what are your thoughts? >> chris christie was the guy that gave barack obama a hug that escalated him the credibility to win a general election. chris christie like much of the establishment -- you saw today. felt the threatened by my presence. a lot of professional politicians had a sort of anaphylactic response to that. the reality is that we do need an outsider in the white house. the choice we face is do you want a super pac topic? the amount of money being spent via super pacs to put up retested slogans versus an independent patriot to speak the truth for that is the contrast in this primary. a lot of those professional politicians that have been preparing their entire lives for this moment you feel threatened

by my presence on that stage. they are good people. i'm gonna need them in different roles. but i will be the one leading from the white house after i deliver a landslide in the general. >> you have to feel good about your performance tonight. at what point do you say to yourself this feels good? >> how do we go and address the american people and talk to them about the truth of the issues and what we need to do to move america forward? we've got serious issues whether it's on the economy of the fact that republicans and democrats got this in this situation for the lack of transparency in the classroom. crime at an all-time high open lawless border. national security, brian, that is going to be a huge issue for the next president. we need a foreign policy approach. the division for the next three decades so that we can keep americans safe. >> when you said the most unpopular politician in america is donald trump, a guy that you say is your friend. >> trump is the most disliked

politician in america. we can win a general election that way. >> went into that statement? >> is true. you can look at any of the polls. he is my friend. it was an honor to serve with them. i agree with most of his policies pretty's gonna spend more time in a courtroom next year then he campaigning. we have to be realistic about that. do i want to have been a weaponization of the department of justice and the agencies? you bet. if he can be the reason we are going to do it, absolutely. we have to beat president kamala harris. it is too dangerous to think about what happens if she wins. we can have a former president sitting in a courtroom campaigning from there. it's not going to work. >> how is he winning by so much? >> this is the kickoff of the campaign season. the first debate gets things going. we will go into the next few months. we've got a debate every month. this is where people can see their opportunities. i think it would have been good for him to be on the stage so that he could have answered some of the questions. but he wasn't. we've got to go forward.

he just passed. governor desantis just walked in. the place just erupted. he got a huge round of applause. he's shaking some hands. i thought it was interesting. governor christie did not come out but a lot of things he could hang his hat on. senator tim scott was solid too. after he did sean's interview, he had a game face on that he darted right out. i thought that was asa hutchinson was the first one in. i think that it was a good st start. after a while, the next one is gonna be great in california. we don't know about a third debate. everybody wants it. i would say give it back to fox for the third debate but we are so honest about it. there is governor ron desantis is here. these can think of is quality time in a matter of moments. some of the big rnc donors are in town. all the candidates are -- most of them are going to be addressing him before they leave town and go out to iowa, new hampshire, nevada, south carolina. everywhere on tuesday.

balls. because he is a self made almost billionaire. he started companies and he's been very successful. he can talk about business. he didn't talk about the economy so much. that is his wheelhouse. he was talking about other st stuff. >> he is a ceo. he has run things. the economy portion got tied into the sending jobs to each other portion. i think we lost some of that conversation. to get another debate with a lot of these folks. we will get to hear them hopefully develop those points. vivek should talk about running companies. this had to should talk about the state that he ran. these guys have stories. you've got to prioritize it. >> the host did a good job getting a bunch of different topics. here are some of the candidates talking about social issues and how they impact all of us. >> in florida, we eliminated critical race theory. we eliminated gender ideology from our k-12 schools. >> i'm going to fight for girls

comes to some of this stuff. i do not think that sort of these conversations that we have on social media about the woke stuff. i don't think that they matter to voters that much. when you look at how they all dealt with it. ron desantis is really the only one that can point to actual legislation and actual things that he did to combat this woke stuff. it's very strong on that. >> before the debate, did you think that vivek would be one of the most buzzed about voices? >> go to my twitter literally 24 hours ago this morning. i tweeted that the guns were going to be out for vivek. there is a lot of people that are very jealous of this attention. you can look at nikki haley's facial expressions. you can look at the way chris christie was attacking. these people are jealous of the attention and jealous of the fact that i think in vivek understands the base of these new voters that trump brought in more so than anybody else on the stage. i can speak to those people. one of those people in 2020.

>> i think it is one of the major domestic issues that we have. i'm glad that they didn't ask the question pair they all do departed to their stated ans answers. ron desantis has the best record to run. he can point to a couple of prosecutors that he got out of office which is a big issue. he actually use that term. i think mike pence is weakest on this. he was in office during the "summer of love" in 2020. we saw major cities burning down paired where those big cases? he had the ability to move that needle at the time. i thought vivek did something very interesting. it was clearly a tactic. when he got into areas he wasn't particularly conversing with them he defaulted to those traditional american narrative. it's a cultural malaise. the constitution. things that people who are in the base of the republican party want to hear from a newcomer especially a new -- looks a little different from what they are used to. chris christie made his point

about u.s. attorneys. he didn't really close the loop on that. that is as u.s. attorney experience speaking. 93 u.s. attorneys is not going to clean up the city's burger going to have to hire a couple hundred more. there are other things you can do as president like funding that they could have spoken about that they didn't. the president can't move the needle on crime. i would like to have heard more on that. >> give me your top two finishers from last night. >> i think vivek and hayley saw their stock go up last night. desantis as a whole, not sure anybody else broke through. >> i'm gonna agree, vivek and -- >> i gonna make it unanimous? >> i think it's an interesting point that we have 2 indian americans who now are the people that the republican party is talking about. that's the new republican party. that's a new phase. that's not the democratic party. that's the republican party. that's the future. >> thank you guys for the postgame show.
