they give false names they are then put on planes and sent allr the country. this is terrible. it is a national security at ririskand i don't think people e the extent to the vulnerability america has because we do not know where these people are going. and certainly if there are terrorists there wond one or 46t we know of that have crossed this fiscal year on the terrorist watch list progress very quickly congresswoman will support the budget negotiations will they be ongoing this month? >> i would hope so. think about fema. right now president biden is asking more money for fema. fema has meant to her and $30 million already to help illegal immigrants with housing, with healthcare, with food. americans are starting to wonder what is going on? we ourselves american citizens

and that a soft landing might be happening. the fed might be getting what it was after by raising rates. >> americans are spending an awful lot more to borrow money whether it is to buy a house, whether it is to buy a car. where do we expect interest rates to go from here and of the fed is looking at data and this changes. but will beget another series of rate increases before the year is out do you think? >> the bedding right now she not going to see a rate increase this month when the fed meets about possibly down the road. it depends on what happens with the labor market. if you were to step back and look at the numbers of what came up last week and in recent weeks the glass is looking half-full. this was not a bad employment number 170,000 new jobs given were interest rates are. that's about one or 50000 a month for the summer that is pretty good. down from 400,000 a month in 2022.

but that was just an extraordinarily fast recovery during the pandemic. were interest rates that's that's also good from the fed's standpoints. that is what it was after attempting to bring inflation down. inflation three plus% now down from 9%. but, for the average consumer the good news is that wage rates have grown faster than the inflation rate. up 4% plus in the last report. we have real wage growth has not is notbeen eaten up by inflatio. the consumer is two thirds of the economy. it accounts for two thirds of the economy by the consumer sentiment and spending over the last few months has been rather

robust. that is why the glass is looking kind of half-full. the fed may still have to raise rates if it gets too robust. again if growth gets out of the pace they think it's going to be. but right now it's looking like they may kind of a pause at least for this month. >> you know john we head into an election year we are always focused on the economy but it tends to be hyper focused at least in politics in an election year. what kind of headwinds could the president face heading into his reduction campaign? what something goes wrong with the economy to see an uptick inflation for whatever reason supply chain gets disrupted again that's what happened with the pandemic. that's all of the supply chains on the web companies could not get products they cannot get employees. shot prices up on everything. let's say there is a research in covid or there was another war in ukraine type of events which
