>> brian: yep. biden is targeting key battleground states. airing that ad in georgia, arizona, pennsylvania, wisconsin, nevada and michigan as the detroit lions take on the kansas city chief thursday night should be a good game. >> the president once again touting economic wins despite a fox news poll revealing 52% of voters feel biden has made the economy worse instead of better. there was that poll where he is neck and neck with donald trump. then they announce this $25 million campaign ad. >> steve: that's right. with that "wall street journal" ad, rather the poll, you know, talking about how he is under water on the economy, that's why, naturally, the white house is coming out with an ad that they are going to run all over the place. going to do a lot of streaming this time. a lot of dignity stuff this time. trying to show joe biden despite what his critics say have done a lot for the economy. in the ad they say that he has fixed supply chains. he is fighting corporate greed. he is passing laws to cost of

he was on one of the sunday shows i would not be shocked if they choose a different candidate if joe biden doesn't make it to the final round. >> brian: he was asked directly about that. look, i expect to run again, i wouldn't be shocked because of his age. you saw him yesterday on the stage not know when to do after he gave someone a medal. >> ainsley: oh my gosh. >> brian: he just left. >> ainsley: left the stage, left the man the veteran on the stage. he was tearful. >> brian: it's not even his age. it's the way he acts. he looks beyond his age. it's every 80-year-old. in terms of what is he going to do during the nfl game. i think it's kind of interesting. you mentioned that he can't do anything about the economy. he can do something about the economy. not really. people are making their own decisions about the economy. and they are realizing that bidenomics is not a message that works. the other thing that they're realizing, too, this is him just leaving the stage yesterday and the ceremony is not even done yet. >> ainsley: hasn't even begun.
4:08 am
let's start with the benediction. >> brian: it's insane. on top of that you have donald trump going to iowa. iowa state. and is he going to got college game and he is going to go to the west point game. the president is going to go somewhere else. he is going to tap into a legitimate football game with the former president of the united states is going to go to the army-navy game which is going to be pretty impressive. for joe biden, his problem is, this is the best he can do. and if he has to actually campaign now that labor day is over he has to campaign, this is going to be scary for him. only hope donald trump to be stuck in a courtroom. i can see trump even rallying at night. >> ainsley: two thirds of the democrats in that "wall street journal" poll. it was the "wall street journal," right? said they think he is too old. two thirds of the democrats. >> steve: that's the age thing. going back to why they are talking about all about the economy. the ad ends where they say that inflation is down to 3% and unemployment is the lowest in decades. so the white house is looking at
4:09 am
the numbers and these are the best numbers they have got and just doesn't feel like the numbers are that good. meanwhile stephen a. smith was on with sean last night and talked a little bit about the age thing. you know, the white house, every time you ask them about the age, they talk about something else. here he is talking to sean about a guy that old in this jock. >> in the case of biden clearly he doesn't seem to be as cogent and lucid as we would like him to be. my bigger point was this: it is a disgrace for the democratic party to call themselves progressives when they're virtually begging an 28-year-old man at election time to run for re-election. that is the point that i was making. you are supposed to be progressive, right? supposed to be moving forward. supposed to be thinking forward. supposed to being innovative and younger and all this other stuff and you are leaning on the hopes
4:10 am
and the prayers of an 28-year-old who would be joe biden, 80, he will be 81. he will be 82 at the time of re-election if that were to happen, to depend on him is an indictment against the democratic party. >> brian: with these blatant lies look what he is doing to the deficit. the deficit has doubled. meanwhile we are supposed -- we have low job numbers. we are growing at 2%. >> ainsley: interest rate. >> brian: interest rates we are paying now on the debt equal the defense budget. so to sit up there on stage and say the jobs numbers, unemployment okay. if you want to say we are growing 2%. okay. you can't just go out and say you are cutting the deficit when it's doubled. economists say in our history we have never had a situation where the economy is growing and our deficit is doubling. they can't quite figure it out. i will tell you figure it out, the spending bills that he passed. the rescue package, the inflation reduction act.
4:11 am
what he has done in between. these are all spending programs that are being spent right now. money we are spending growing at 7%. our revenue is at 4%. >> ainsley: also facing immigration issue. article in axios, this issue is pitting democrats against each other. the title is blue state migrant crisis sparks political disaster for biden. it talks about tensions within the biden administration versus the local democrats, how it's all coming to a head because these shelters are overflowing. and it says business leaders and lawmakers at various levels of government are demanding the administration do more to help accommodate migrants and are frustrated by what they say is biden's lack of responds. it quotes dick durbin saying it's unclear why there hasn't been stronger action by the biden administration. he says i wrote him back in may. so it's been like four months. i hope to find out. >> steve: sure, absolutely. when the president is from your party, you would expect the people down ballot to be celebrating all the good stuff. but, unfortunately, because of
4:12 am
the migrant problem that we have been talking about. >> brian: that they caused. >> steve: on this program for a very long time. suddenly all these blue cities run by democrats are being, you know, look at the problems here in new york city. we were just talking with a mom who is vice president of the school board about how they are waiving the rules. every kid in a new york city school is supposed to be vaccinated for a whole bunch of stuff. and they are waiving the rules. ultimately, the mayors want more from the state. and the governors want more from joe biden. you know what? do you know what they need to do? these cities, these states need to declare a state of emergency they not only would get a lot of attention but they would probably wind up with cash which is what they need. right now here in new york city, it's costing us tenses of millions of dollars a day to house these migrants who are in the country, got into the country that is to say illegally. >> brian: everyone is making money and it's costing us millions that we don't have. every city is over budget.
4:13 am
especially new york city. we got 84,000 still here. we have over 200 sites. it's all because of this president. he is making no effort to close down the border. what he did with getting rid of title 2 temporarily dipped the numbers. enough to flying up to 7,000. we are seeing it on a regular basis. and the problem is when you are a sanctuary city, that has a right to shelter, and you brag the fact that we're a nation of immigrants, come one, come all, well, they came, they have arrived and the guy who sent them is not taking your call. all your fault. all your problem. and i just hope the voters in these cities will look at the people that made this mess, that's costing you this money, that's costing your kids grade point averages in school among other things and are littering your streets with people that don't belong here from other nations that sent them here, and the cartels that are making money off it along with the drugs coming with it. when you see, this understand who is to fault. that's the one thing balance out
4:14 am
as we all know what happened in new york when governor zeldin tried to be governor. he got close. what he did was brought the whole republican party with him and out to vote. this issue could bring republicans out to the ballot. >> ainsley: ains greg adams the our mayor here apparently the relationship is deteriorating with our governor kathy hochul. he wants migrants to spread throughout the state. she is refusing to do it. governor abbott shipping or busing them around the country to be sanctuary cities he was bragging about it because he said it has been very effective. it's relief for texas border towns. texas has bused over 35,000 migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities over 11,300 to d.c. over 3,000 new york city. 6700 to chicago. a thousand to denver buss mission provides, sure, ainsley, as we look at that graphic right there 13,000 were bussed to new
