cheryl casone, kennedy and former white house press secretary ari fleischer. we begin with defund the police democrat from minnesota who seems to be changing her attitude toward law enforcement after being attacked. epicenter of the defund movement in 2020 following in the wake of george floyd's death. rocked the city of minneapolis echoing calls to defund and dismantle the police. one of the loud voices was a high-ranking official know with the state's democratic party. just days after george floyd's death she wrote on social media, we're going to dismantle the minneapolis police department. sadly this week, she was violently carjacked by a group of four men. the attack left her with a

broken leg, deep wounds and bloody face. it happened in her own driveway in front of her two small children. she posted this bloody selfie adding, catch young people who are running wild, creating chaos across the city. hold them in custody and prosecute them. look at my face, remember me when you are thinking about lefting juveniles and young people out of custody to roam the streets instead of holding them accountable. thank you to the 4th precinct officers. ari, such a change of heart and understandably, but it is too late for those who already gave their lives and suffered violent attacks. >> ari: my heart goes out to her, what she went through, what

her children are going to go through. tremendous sympathy. why does it have to be about you to realize this happens throughout society all the time and you can't dismantle the police. the calls have left police to resign in drove, the core of the problem. we don't have enough police, nobody wants to be a comanymore. god bless her, i hope her recovery is swift. she reaped what she sowed. >> emily: she made it about herself, a lot of victims like oscar lee stewart jr., father of children who died in an arson fire. where were her calls to think of his face? she called to remember her face, a lot of other faces i think of, she helped create this in her

city. >> harris: it takes a lot for somebody to break a bone in your leg, that is the biggest in the body. i understand she is having a shock reaction. what is lost on the bigger public, is that enough to move anything? she may go back to where she was. those were long-held political views she had and this is traumatic and we're sorry about this, just as public, our hearts go out. the same time, two things can be true, it will take more than change of heart for one person to change the system put in place by guys like george soros. the victims become the bad guys and the criminals get all the breaks. it will take more than that. i don't want to put too much more on her shoulder, she has healing to do.

giving babies psychological trauma, with no hesitation and remorse. i'm now part of the statistic. i wasn't silent when i fought these men and i won't be now. we need illegal guns off the streets, catch these young people and hold them in custody and prosecute them, period. >> cheryl: it is horrible what happened to her, it has happened to other people in this city in particular. one thing to say defund the police until you need the police and we've seen that play out in new york city. in particular, what mayor adams is coming around to the fact, he was protecting the police best he could, now people in bronx, queens, suffering under crime and rotating door of criminals in and out, she's saying we need to get people arrested and put in jail, not arrested and let out of jail in 20 minutes.

alleviate problems and pain in san francisco and throughout california. i want to get to this part with you, ari, you were in the white house and probably saw speeches before they were given. this is interesting. with liberty and justice for all in caps. are we looking at another situation when you become a victim of crime, you suddenly want justice? >> ari: what jumped out at me, not she is running for reelection, that seat will be liberal, whether her or the next octogenarian. she said advance san francisco values. flesh that out. what values is she referring to? needles on the street? defacation? what is she referring to. i want them to be cozied up and nestled up in san francisco, don't let them out. >> harris: same woman that flaunted covid restrictions to

get her hair done. does she care about them. same as lori lightfoot, i suppose. last thing san francisco need is more nancy pelosi, establishment machine, old white woman telling them what she needs from her locked gate with extra security. i've lived there many years, i am from east bay, it is disheartening to see her unwilling to step aside for someone that has fresh energy, new idea and gets what san francisco need, nothing nancy pelosi can provide ever. >> harris: i eluded to the fact her husband was attacked last year, she knows needs. how she looks in the mirror and sees herself as answer would be good question for nancy pelosi. >> harris: as you watch that, ari, i think of somebody far back out of the line of sight to protesters who may not be feeling well, might be in the back of an ambulance, what are these people thinking? >> ari: or somebody who has to get to the fire house and they are delayed from getting to work. i don't care what your cause is, here is rule to live by, don't make other people late for work. people have a responsibility and they have a right, you don't have a right because your job is just to stop other people from doing their job. i can't believe amount of money prevent wackos like that engage in what they do. i have been at sporting events, they sand on the ground to prevent people from glueing
