ago terrorists attacked america. flight 93 with the passengers, and we knew we were at war when the second plane was hit and the pentagon, as well. beautiful in lower manhattan. today marks 22 years since the attack shook the nation. >> i had a chance on the 20th to go out to the memorial, flight 93, in the middle of nowhere. there was a school nearby. can you imagine if that plane hit the school on top of that? they hit an empty field, i think field 93 was looking for an empty field and had to spot what they could from the building. the passage, find out who did it and clean up downtown. they quickly cleaned up. what are we going to do

downtown? go to an empty pit. we got a design. who is going to pay for it? building started going up and building is done. afghanistan and iraq war starts and the surge settles down. while building the building with a lot of financing, they reached the standard. >> ainsley: it cost 3 million. tallest skyscaper in the west hemisphere, 104 floors. construction started in 2006 and it opened in 2014. it includes a bomb-resistant base, as well. >> both are worth seeing, the

memorials, the size and devastation. >> ainsley: the memorial, my sister and i walked through and there was a place in the back, you can pick up the phone and hear the voicemail of a mom, it was her husband calling on the plane, him leaving a message on their occur answering machine, it is heart breaking, you can't listen without tears. >> so much heroism on ground zero. i love what eric shawn said last hour, this is the 11th anniversary of the attack of benghazi which happens on 9/11. our lives changed that day, our nation changed. >> ainsley: pete and i, we were in our 20s, my dad called me and there is brian kilmeade on tv.

met and the legacy looms over this site and event. nsh number of people who have died from the toxic dust exceeded the number killed that day. new york city fire department added 43 names to the wall, 341 members of service succumbed to illness from the toxic dust, three shy of the 343 who died that day. look at sad numbers, 2835 people have died from cancer and other illness from the dust, more than the number killed on 9/11 themselves. >> families still suffer from 9/11, many are caring for loved ones dying. for them 9/11 is everyday.

for those that lost family members to trade center cancer and illnesses. >> 9/11 is everyday. vice president harris will be here to mark the ceremonies, the only candidate, ron desantis, governor of florida, will be here. he was invited by family members of those who were killed here. again, we expect the ceremony to start within the next half-hour and tonight the tribute, two twin beams that soar into the night scare evoking what we lost, reminder of the threat that still exists and finally say to folks watching, come down here. it is just an awe-inspiring tribute to what happened. come to the museum, honor those who were killed, you will never forget. back to you.

they leave young families behind and taking care of families and building them a home if they don't have one. if they do, pay off mortgages. if you give your body and we will build you a smart home. there wasn't a foundation like this, it was sacrifice of my brother and so many others that paid the ultimate sacrifice. when the fireiters were going in buildings, they were hugging their brothers, they were saying goodbye. they knew there was a strong possibility they were going to die and so many did die. they went in there knowing there was a strong possibility and because of the relationship that we have with fox, there is no doubt we can ever do the work. without this relationship, we

could not do the work. it was not over, will never be over and never forget it. >> ainsley: frank, your parents did a great job raising their children, you are doing god's work and your brother was willing to run through the tunnel and save other people's lives and sacrificed his own. you go through the tunnel and say prayers and talk to your brother. what would you say to your brother and what would be his reaction if he knew how many families? when you are in law enforcement or first responder and you lose your paycheck and your wife is left behind, it is changing her of well, relieving her burden, one less worry for her. what would your brother say? what would you say to him? >> i know he's proud of what his siblings have done since he made

that heroic run through the tunnel, proud of what we're doing. we didn't know we were going to do all this work. we didn't know it. if we as people and americans just listen to our god above us, all we have to do is listen and help each other in such beautiful ways. stephen was on a path that day, on a mission. he paid the ultimate sacrifice and met his destiny that day. our destiny is to take up his cross, take up cross of his maker and take care of all the families and least we can do. something, it is not work, it is beautiful to be around the families, i'm around them all the time, they inspire me and start foundations. we have the run on september 24th, we retrace stephen's

footsteps. nearly 40,000 people, hundreds of 9/11 families run in honor of their loved ones. this run on september 24th, there are a thousand other stories, people honor loved ones. we want to make sure we honor everybody, everybody who willing to risk their listen and body for us and often do. i know he is smiling down and giving me the strength and his siblings the strength and our work is not done, we continuously pray to god and stephen. stephen has god's right here, saying, he said he's going to eradicate homeless think among veterans, he will open up doors for us because it is necessary. we need to get it done and i

crashed, three floors taken out. joining us producer with fox report. owen, what do you see, where are you? >> i'm on roof of my building, i'm looking right now at the world trade center, massive, gaping hole on the second tower, about 15 stories from the roof. it is unbelievable to look at. >> it looks like something out of a movie, huge hole in tower number one. we have a number on fire. look like the plane was aiming toward the building. >> four more units going in. it could be a terrorist attack. >> roll every available ambulance you've got to this position. [crying] >> come on. >> you can see emergency vehicles carrying the west side

highway heading toward the scene, tons of people in the street, papers and can't see evidence what crashed. [sirens] >> tons of glass broken and falling out of the building. several people on west street here. >> number one, numerous people trapped, floor 106. >> division one, be advised battalion two, jumpers from world trade center. >> oh, my god. >> the plane obviously went in on one side and came out the other. there is debris all over the ground. >> broke through one part. >> exactly. >> steve: it affects perhaps 10 floors of the world trade center building. it is over 100 stories tall.

>> brian: this time of morning is when people pour into that building, usually next to -- >> steve: this is near the financial district on the tip of manhattan, there are so many people at this hour who are in that neighborhood, all the police and fire department and emergency technician headed to that area. this is horrible. all we can do is stair aghast at pictures. this is north building of the twin tower of the world trade center. debris reigning down from 110 floors up. this is clear blue sky day in manhattan. if that was an accident, it would be needle in a haystack type of.
