through. they had dogs that one of them suffered heat stroke. been really hot, which made things difficult for cavalcante and for the canines. whatever resources available, they used in bringing the convicted killer into custody. >> ainsley: maybe that is why he was wearing long sleeves. i'm sure he was dressed in long sleeves to get through the terrain. thank you. bring in robin, retired special agent. lots of pressure on law enforcement, been 13 days, did a great job and caught this guy. tell us what we're seeing on the images. >> all the resources came together in success and greatest success no one was injured and it is a life arc of learning how to suffer and persevere and use resources at his disposal.

law enforcement outpaced him how to evade. >> pete: it is success at the end, a lot of risk could have been mitigated, we are fortunate no one else was hurt. successful ultimately and big sigh of relief. did it take too long? >> they will do a lot of after aks aksz on this. you do a lot of after action and see what went right and wrong. the community was a highlight, they kept people safe, they will look at terrain and technology and what happened inside the prison system. a lot of after action will happen. >> brian: what did the fbi do? >> good question.
5:58 am
resources they bring, this is not normal, they brought in custom and border patrol and had local law enforcement. fbi in this situation will be brought in like what i'm doing, profiling this guy's background to see what kind of resources and resiliency he has to do these things. i think the mother and sister played a role in how he would be executing what he did. >> ainsley: will he go to a different prison now? what is your response to two prison breaks the same exact way? >> that prison is under huge review. that is going to start top of leadership and trickle down with both leadership, resources and manpower. i think this guy has rewritten the book on what they are going
5:59 am
to do. i would want to put this guy in isolation, you don't want him near anybody to do something similar or contacting or training anyone else how to do that. the way he scaled that wall, that was not the first time he did that. that was from american nin ja warrior. it took lifetime of prep to do that. >> pete: are you surprised that there was no shots fired we understand or actual confrontation with law enforcement? >> i am and relieved, too. most likely find out when they do the press conference, likely overwhelmed him with force and presence. if he was still conscious, he was probably super depleted. overwhelming force himalayan alive without shots fired.
6:00 am
>> ainsley: we are learning bortac are the same that took out the shooter in uvalde. >> they are the best, i am glad they brought them in, they are used to finding people in tough terrain. >> ainsley: thank you for your service and for being with >> bill: good morning, everybody. breaking news. it's over. it took two full weeks but a convicted murderer is back in custody. good morning, i'm bill hemmer along with dana perino. you were watching coverage we rarely get the chance to see. an inmate who escaped from a chester county prison in pennsylvania has now been captured and the upper right-hand corner of your screen these are so rare that we're able to watch this live as we did over the past hour as he was taken into custody. a small guy, five feet
