the doj and fbi. hunter's lawyers are filing a lawsuit against the irs that alleges that the whistle-blowers violated the internal revenue code by "engaging and a campaign to publicly smear a hunter." hunter is actually trying to smear a. irs says that it's not comment on pending litigation. seeking $1,000 in damages for each time his tax information was improperly received. what is hold up in court? we ask jonathan charlie. i find it interesting, first thing i will say is that hunter has going for him is abbe lowell who i respect as one of the top d.c. attorneys. agree with that? >> yeah, i think i do. >> sean: to me it seems like very clever debt they went after the irs is not the whistle-blowers individually. is there a legal reason for that?

i would think that if i'm one of the lawyers and 40 whistle-blowers will go after my got. i probably want discovery on hunter biden which will not work out well for him, would it? >> i can understand what he is doing. i don't think it is going to work. he is trying to take the shots for his client. under the federal law, the committee is allowed to make public tax information. in fact, senate reports according to this law goes into that public disclosure power and hear the committee invited the two whistle-blowers to a public hearing because he believed this information should be made public. does two whistle-blowers in the hearing went to great lengths to say that they were going to stay only within the confines of what they told the committee. they refused to answer a number of questions. i don't believe that abbe lowell has a strong case here. it will fall apart. he could get a sympathetic judge

on a trial, but i don't think he can hold this together on appeal. >> sean: so many questions, professor. why dig out light repeatedly about talking to his brother, signing, or anybody for that matter. why was he involved in all of these conversations with decent foreign business partners. why was the meeting some of them at the cafe milano. what does hunter offer at a time that they admit he was addicted to drugs. hunter admitted that he had no experience. why do getting tens and tens of millions of dollars, a lot if they coming from our top geopolitical photos. what did any biden at two for all of this money. what did hunter do, grandkids too, why all the shell companies. everybody keeps going with the liberal mantra, there is no evidence at all whatsoever. i'm not buying that there is no evidence. a lot of doors are open that indicate a lot of untold things happening here.

>> it is a case of willful blindness to say that there is no evidence. many in the media now rather belatedly admit that hunter biden was engaged in influenced pedaling. suggesting that he was selling access to his father, but they insist that is an illusion. all of these corrupt figures are just chumps, date fleeced for all of this money. how do you know that. that is the reason you have an impeachment inquiry. instead of revealing information that could clear up this information, the white house and hunter biden are resisting these efforts. that is why an impeachment inquiry is so important. this latest attack on the irs whistle-blower i discussed back in february when there is a meeting of the team planning a scorched earth campaign against witnesses. what is interesting about that meeting is that it was leaked to "the washington post." hunter biden's team wanted

witnesses to know that they were going to go after them. wanted them to note that they were going to go aggressive and target witnesses. that is what we have seen. sued the owner of the computer shop and an absolutely ridiculous countersuit where hunter biden is saying that he still can't confirm that this is actually his laptop or at these emails are authentic, but he claims that his privacy was invaded when he contents were revealed. how does that work. these are all efforts to attack witnesses, to draw them out financially, exposed them to litigation, but it is not going to work. this impeachment inquiry is on the road. he's going to be getting subpoenas, and he is going to have to answer question. the question that i have is why don't you want to answer those questions. why doesn't the president or hunter biden release some of these financial records, show it that this money didn't go to
