disapprove of energy prices. kaylee if you're the biden administration, that's a bad sign. >> it's a very bad sign especially for a president who is making bidenomics the main part of his reelection pitch. this is not a good sign. another really notable finding in that washington post poll, trace, was biden's decrease in support among young voters. trump was up above biden by 20 points among voters under the age of 35. that's my generation, gen-z and millennials. and that's significant because two-thirds of gen-z voters and millennials turned out for biden in 2020 and now just 4% say they have a favorable view of the president. that's a significant drop and if trump can make up a lot of ground in a hypothetical general he could very easily win the election. >> trace: the key phrase there is a significant drop dustin. of course karine jean-pierre at the white house is saying polls, polls, who listens, who watches

8:11 pm
>> reporter: meanwhile the surge continues at the southern border where customs and border patrol sources tell fox news there were approximately 11,000 migrant encounters in the past 24 hours alone. that's the highest on record. take a look at this video from texas congressman tony gonzalez that shows a tent processing facility in eagle pass that has a capacity of 1,000, but on friday, it was packed with 4600 migrants in custody. and while the biden administration insists there are consequences for crossing illegally, they're now facing growing calls even from democratic lawmakers to do more. trace? >> trace: indeed, jackie ibañez live in new york for us. jackie thank you >> well the fox news at night common sense department was pretty much blown away to hear cnn anchor jim acosta say the u.s. southern border is not open. he made the comment in response to congressman ralph norman who said the border is open.

hours at the border. i actually went down to the west and the east gates of san diego's border. i talked to mts and they said last week alone 5,000 migrants got buffed to san diego and 70% of them were from saudi arabia and africa. and that people met them and gave them a cell phone, a plane ticket, took them to the airport and sent them to new york and new jersey. we knew they were coming and we allow it. so to pretend that the border is closed is malicious neglect and is ridiculous. >> trace: so we all know the border's open but there's going to be a debate not the one we're talking about wednesday, talking gavin newsom and ron desantis happening right here on fox news, sean hannity is going to host. this could be interesting. i've interviewed both newsom and desantis, my money's on desantis but it will be fascinating red state blue state. >> yeah, as somebody who's lived and opened and run businesses under newsom's eastern any this is something to poke holes into
