full blown impeachment hearing. what were your takeaways from yesterday? >> yeah, well, i guess to your point earlier there. it was very contentious and we're living in two different worlds if you look at how democrats on the committee versus the republicans. i thought the case was laid out fairly sucentrally, the house procedures make it a little chopped up. the witnesses did a really good job. and i think obviously, this is the first step and they have to convince the american people of moving to actual impeachment and convince 218 members of the house that is appropriate. there is a lot of evidence to be presented along the way. >> carley: after the hearing james comer issued three subpoenas for personal business

and financial records for hunter biden and jim biden. will they have to comply with the subpoenas? what sort of information can be gleaned from them? >> that is really where the rubber will meet the road. there has been resistance to the house issuing subpoenas and some subpoenas have not been answered. ultimately, there need to be teeth to subpoenas, that is doj being willing to hold people accountable like they did peter navarro, and steve bannon. we'll have to see if there is cooperation, if there is not, that should be an issue in and of itself. >> todd: agreed. it does raise from an optic perspective, should james comer hold another hearing until he gets the documents, which he is entitled to and they will show more connections.

california border and we're not sure why. i recall ka the problem could get worse for you. i understand border patrol is dropping off in your community and they will take a bus or train to other locations and this has become a big issue for you guys, tell us why. we don't really know why. i was speaking to somebody in a think tank on immigration and they told me there is a place in venezuela, darian pass, last month they said there were 85,000 and this month they expect almost 200,000 and many of those will end up on our border. we expect to go get worse. we have not gotten information from the federal or state government. we find out an hour before it

we've seen 7 million come across the border since president biden took office. i don't see how it is going to be good for us. people on the border patrol tell us 90% of those coming across are single, military-age males. we know they are from countries like somalia and middle east and from china, places that are vowed to be our enemies. as mayor of a city, i can tell you, i'm nervous about the protection of my people that live in el cajon. we don't know who is coming or what their intentions are. this is a recipe for disaster. if you think this makes it better for carwashes and hotels, seems like fantasy to me. >> carley: there are signs that are telling migrants where to go

people, how should republicans contrast their record with that of this white house to win in 2024? >> yeah, it's such a good question. we have to highlight the type of tyranny that the left is pushing for. during covid, young people were completely subjected to tyranny, authoritarianism, we were forced to take experimental vaccines. colleges still have vaccine mandates and mask mandates and these cues for covid tyranny coming from the biden administration. they are not separate from the school, it was part of the same network and same cues. to emphasize republicans are not the party of tyranny and party of social credit, young people feel pressure to align with the left, otherwise they won't be
