events, this will be the one to come to. >> todd: r.f.k. jr. making a major announcement. the washington examiner joins us now. if this is an announcement of a third party run, what does it say about the state of the current democratic party that one member of the biggest democrat family in the 20th family could be leaving the party and running for president. >> it is refusal to allow competition. there is debate whether a third-party bid would hurt biden or trump more if those are the two candidates. it hurts biden more for that reason. democratic voters are being denied a choice in the primary. dnc refuses to hold debates.

they are forcing biden on to the public, even as record number of americans say they do not want biden to seek reelection for a variety of other than cans. this is an indictment of the dnc and they have done this years and years and years, they choose the candidate and refuse them a choice in the matter. >> todd: this year it could backfire on them. if r.f.k. jr. does run as independent, no labels are thinking of putting somebody else in the independent mold. if those two run together, is this the death nail for joe biden's presidency? >> it could be, there is massive appetite for a third party option. 47% of americans would consider casting their vote for a third party in donald trump and joe biden are the nominees.

for this excuse. bowman was a principal of a school for five years. i looked up how many times students participated in fire drills. they had 12 a year. if you are saying he does not know how this works, that is ridiculous. this is actually a crime. and d.c., according to statute, this is a criminal misdemeanor, not to mention felony charges associated with disrupting a proceeding. so if republicans want to hold his feet to the fire, they could. take looks like nicole is planning do just that.

feinstein will lie in state this week ahead of funeral services this thursday. california governor gavin newsom announcing his choice to finish her term. >> carley: cheryl casone has more. >> cheryl: she will lie in state in san francisco city hall, a beautiful building, a fitting tribute and goodbye to her. there is a lot of mourning. over the weekend, she did die in her d.c. home and transferred back to san francisco. politics will come into play, it is expected today gavin newsom will nominate butler to replace dianne feinstein on a temporary basis. let me read the quote from what gavin newsom has said she will carry the baton left by dianne feinstein, continue to break glass ceilings and fight for californians. she is a former labor leader. there is no precondition for any
