killed in those incursions and now we have at least double that in one day of the most recent incursion. either way the palestinians lived in gaza was 6000 people during that timeframe. i think what has happened here it is not well-publicized lives at times of political leadership really one of the idf to go back in and occupy pray they have always resisted it. if we are serious about eliminating hamas the idf has to occupy gaza and systematically go about eliminating them with the cooperation of the people. now the people here can be exploited in a positive way because they have been repressed to pray they don't have anything to show for the life they have. they know full well after all of these years, 16 years that hamas has and does much of anything to help them. as a matter fact when they go and conduct an operation against

the israelis they use the people to hide from and they weaponize the casualties and use that as evidence to try to attempt to get a cease-fire and a cessation of military activities. the people are fed up with this. not all of them you can see young people that are easy to radicalize because there are no jobs. there is no upward mobility. the people who are raising families there want a better life. that is something the israelis can take advantage of. work with the people to give up hamas militants in that area they have good intelligence on some of it but they won't have intelligence on all of it. they need the people to do that. we learned that the hard way ourselves and iraq particularly we use th a skill sets and afghanistan. so we will see. i hope the israelis do what i am

eliminate hamas this time. and to do that the nature of their military operations are going to have to change and their relationship with the people that live in gaza will also have to change. and this will take time. there has to be patients here. this is not a couple of weeks this is a months and conducting an operation like this. so far finally what do you make of those on the left and elsewhere and the un who call for quote de-escalation and a cease-fire? your reaction to that. >> isn't that so predictable? the un is an anti- israelite movement that exists in the un and yet it's the only democracy in the middle east, it never has made any sense to meet whatsoever for their terrorist organizations in the past, armies attacking them and yet the israelis get blamed for everything that is wrong this taken place in the middle east are particularly in israel. that is not going to change for
