5:00 am
men, women and children mowed down, slaughtered in their homes and cars. car says riddled with bullets. we recovered 20 bodies yesterday. the evil is indescribable. >> ainsley: how did they know which houses to go to? why did they choose the pregnant woman and shot her in the belly? how did they decide? >> i don't have the answer. these people are truly evil and i think they were indiscriminate in the way they killed people. they weren't to murder everybody. i saw bodies strewn on the
5:01 am
street and cars riddled with bodies. they found every man, woman and child and killing them in their place. this cold-blooded massacre is something i never thought i would see in my lifetime. it is pearl harbor and 9/11 wrapped in one. >> ainsley: you have our prayers. thank you for being part of the search and rescue. the third hour of "fox and friends" starts now. >> steve: it is 3:00 in reagan library in israel. day four of the war in the holy land. we are now learning idf is in
5:02 am
the southern part will israel. >> brian and folks we just saw another battery of rockets come from hamas from the gaza strip two miles from where we are over this town of sderot and the iron dome, boom, boom, boom, boom, knocked down about five of them. israeli jet fighters all day pounding positions in gaza. rockets going another way and seeing dozens of tanks lining up and getting ready for a possible incursion. this is day four and we are in the town of sderot and it has taken four days for israel to
5:03 am
say this town and 24 others just like it are secure. behind me, i will ask cameron randall to give us a shot of it. this is what is left of the police station, it is being destroyed very quickly. we asked one resident, why do this now? why is this happening with everything else going on? they said they want to destroy it, clear it to rebuild again. that is the spirit here, spirit of determination, we're seeing again and began and again. seeing very strong figures 900 plus israelis killed and 700 plus palestinians. the claim of 1500 hamas militants killed. quite a accomplishment if
5:04 am
accurate by israelis and sign of thousands that must have come across the border on saturday and stayed active until this very day. you've been talking about, huge part of the story is hostages taken from this town and other towns and being held in gaza. we have sound from an individual at a music festival, whose relatives where some of the hostages were taken. >> we thought he would come back safely. we saw the news the terrorists got in. we got a video of him cuffed in the back of a pickusp truck. we hope he will come home safely. >> we all hope. the u.s. does not need to be sad, has a big stake in what is
5:05 am
going on here. at least 11 american citizens killed in part of that death toll and seven americans being held hostage. mu nittions and ships coming off the mediterranean coast. back to you guy. >> brian: everyone is focused on
5:06 am
gaza, heard about squirmishes, can you expand on that. this is a two-front war. >> that is the worry. hezbollah has been careful, the militant group based in southern lebanon, they have been careful not to completely commit. two have been killed and one captured and struck biases in the north and sent loads of tanks. there is enough on so many fronts here. you can imagine israel will have its hands full. >> lawrence: hamas were firing
5:07 am
missiles and mixing the batch of missiles and couldn't do damage to the iron dome. are they still doing that? >> they are. we heard the iron dome in action knocking down five or six rockets coming from hamas. we were talking to a photographer that said, five, 300 come across. he said he had seen 300 come and with crude missiles, you can swamp the sophisticated defenses of the iron dome. especially the first few days and hamas is keeping at it. we have experience from today, back to you. >> ainsley: the border is secure and 1500 hamas terrorists killed
5:08 am
in israel. any word if there are more hamas fighters in israel? >> israeli military said they secured towns like this and other towns and they were confident about that. we will secure the area. they were thinking about remnant militants. large number of not just militants, reinforcement coming over and has been clamped down. this place is a military zone right now. we were about three miles away on the main road heading into the gaza strip. we saw 30 or 40 tanks lined up ready to go if the message comes through to move forward. >> steve: greg, we just heard
5:09 am
from the idf fighters have killed a number of armed terrorists in one beach area and more details will be coming up shortly. you were mentioning the hostages, essentially human shields. hamas says we will kill one hostage at a time unless we are notified you are going to bomb a building. the idf hit 200 targets and a weapon storage in a mosque and a high-rise tower used by hamas, as well. it sounds like the residents were notified via social media just before the strike. social media is the wave of how they are notifying people. >> greg: social media one way.
5:10 am
couple years ago it was cell phone messages, now they graduated to that. israel does make a point of saying exact building or an area and that is in part addressing blood curdling mess knowledgeas we heard from hamas last night about death of hostages. claim to be three or four hostage s, we have no confirmation of that. terribly gray zone right now as the war continues. >> brian: secretary of defense, defense minister, former un from israel, joined us earlier and said focus has never been hitting civilians, but they will hit hard sdmrchl we were able to hit back terrorists in the south
5:11 am
and getting ready for the next stage, go on offense. people of gaza, get out and move away from hamas headquarters, because we are coming in, we are coming to hunt down hamas. we don't want to go after civilians. >> steve: they got to go after the bad guys and protect the good guys. >> greg: strong words you played there, there are 2.3 million people living in the gaza strip, about the size of new york city. very crowded, no shelters, difficult way to get out of that strip and they are to some degree, being hit very hard. there are scenes that we have been shown of the damage that has been done by israel.
5:12 am
it is hitting hamas and hitting people yearn hamas, too. it must be said, strong scenes and strong words coming from both sides. >> ainsley: i was reading this morning about the idf, what happened on the beach. they identified a terror cell on the beach near the border with gaza strip 678 they dispatched h helicopters to strike the cell and the idf said the terrorists were killed. >> brian: carley, you have other news. >> carley: fox news alert, "wall street journal" reporting russia withdrawing black sea fleet from crimea following missile and drone strikes. military seizure of crimea in 2014 marked opening shot in his
5:13 am
attempt to take control of ukraine. to another fox news alert, "wall street journal" reporter gershkovich losing his appeal and will stay in jail until at least the end of november. the court declined to hear appeal last month. over to you. >> steve: thank you, carley. >> carley: robert f. kennedy joins us here on set after he announced yesterday he is running as an independent in 2024. >> brian: don't move. soul of north alabama, here on our family farm. then we partner with family owned mills from maine to mississippi to manufacture our cotton into quality american made fabrics that become our heirloom inspired bedding, towels, blankets and apparel. experience our 100% american made luxury linens for yourself.

5:18 am
>> ainsley: you are looking at live pictures of people clearing rubble from gaza city. you can see the mass destruction, fighting raging at the war enters day four. >> steve: palestinian supporters clashing with pro-israeli groups and crowds at demonstrations across the country. >> brian: todd piro joins us. >> todd: the tensions boiling over. police in australia
5:19 am
investigating protest outside the sydney opera house marching to the sydney operation house. video emerging shows a group chanting antisemitism slogans. and threats in new york city around the corner from us, an anti-israel demonstrators. and stomping on an american flag with the words legit gangsters sp spraypainted on it. vigils mourning the lives lost on deadly surprise strike against israel. the white house lit up in blue and white, symbol of solidarity
5:20 am
with the people of israel. back over to you. >> brian: they did. >> steve: thank you very much. the hamas terror attack marking single deadliest day of jews since the holocaust, according to harvard elites, israel is to blame. 30 groups at harvard say, we hold the israeli regime responsible for the events, today's eventing did not happen in a vacuum. israeli violence structured every aspect in existence and palestinians have been forced to live. >> ainsley: we want to emphasize our commitment to fostering an environment of dialogue and
5:21 am
empathy in time of unimaginable life and sorrowful independent presidential candidate and harvard alum robert f. kennedy will react. good morning to you. what is your reaction? >> i think it is perverse reading of history. anybody who is interested in and it is perverse to say the least because there is 2400 people wounded. 900 israelis dead. murdered people at a music festival. the videos on social media of children in cages in gaza, of jewish bodies and a teenage girl be being abused in front of a crowd
5:22 am
and people cheering and bodies being paraded around in trucks. to say israel is at fault for that is perverse. look at the history, it is p propaganda, go look at soleimani speech, a great champion and head of saudi intelligence. he is a huge champion of people and what he said again and again, palestinians have been betrayed by their leadership. he died a billionaire, abbas, the current leaders, they keep their people in poverty and offer peace on generous terms.
5:23 am
are the israelis have wanted to trade peace for land and again and again palestinian leadership portrayed their own people by refusing to negotiate or counter offer. there is a long history, anybody can read it. people who are skeptical of that should go recount. palestinian leadership out of dpreed betrayed their own people pie refusing to negotiate for peace. >> brian: unsympathetic statements against the israelis.
5:24 am
we are getting rocket fire into israel and there is rubble inside gaza. gallup did a poll asking about the conflict and majority of young people 25 to 45, are more sympathetic toward the palestinian cause. where does that come from? >> i think the -- it is not lower level of the party, i think president biden by giving $6 billion to iran without any condition or any indication or pledges of peace has probably aggravated the situation. >> brian: we got hostages back in exchange. >> and three weeks later there are new hostages. that has been the policy for a
5:25 am
long time. not pay for hostages and it encourages more kidnapping and hostage taking. that is what we're seeing here. >> steve: you had a busy week, on monday you announced you will run for president as an independent. you are from one of the most famous democratic families in history. how big was it to take a step away? >> very painful for me. i was raised in the democratic party, my father and uncle were leaders of the party. our democratic party relation goes back generations. my great grandfather patrick
5:26 am
kennedy was a ward boss in boston, so leaving the party of my family is very difficult for me. it was a choice i didn't feel i had a choice about. i feel, i think it is the right thing, we are seeing same corporate donors that control both parties and the parties are in paralysis. they are locked in this war with each other and the polarization and name calling, they are polarizing the american public and we need a strategy for bringing people together and what i found traveling the country is that there is much more even among the most extreme democrats and republicans, still
5:27 am
more we have in common than issues being used to drive us apart. everybody wants a clean environment and take care of our veterans and everybody wants good education and make sure regu regulatory agencies are everybody issing the people and we need somebody who will find areas of agreement and values, rather than focus on little issues that have us at each other's throats. >> ainsley: do you worry you will take 10 or 20% of biden votes? >> i hope to take votes from both. >> brian: stats show 48% approval of republicans and 14% with democrats.
5:28 am
are you ready for donald trump to come after you? >> yeah. i feel like i have my own moral center and i'm not going to engage in the bitterness. i hope donald trump will dispute me on the issues and we can all talk about the issues that affect america and what is happening to middle class and systematic destruction -- >> brian: you agree on a lot. there are areas of agreement and areas i agree with president biden. i think people are tired of the vit riol and i will not engage in that. >> brian: the kennedys denounced you, bobby shares the name of our father, but he does not share the same vision.
5:29 am
that must hurt. >> i have a lot of family members supporting me, some are working for the biden administration and they have opinions about issues. i believe, let me say this, all of the issues my father and uncle believe in, if you went down and checked the bobs, i am very much aligned with the democratic party that stood for the working class. that skeptical and against censorship, fiercely against censorship and using fear as governing tool. franklin roosevelt said to us, only thing to fear is fear itself, i don't know anybody
5:30 am
saying, i'm voting for president biden. they are all saying, i am voting for president biden, i don't want trump to be president, he is dafrjous. it is impulse governed by fear. there is a poll that came out that showed that in 2013, 85% of american kids between 18 and 35 said they were proud of the united states of america. same poll taken three weeks okay, said only 17% are. this politics and vitriol is, we have betrayed that generation of american kids and need to give them something to hope for, not telling them vote for biden because we are scared. vote for somebody whose vision
5:31 am
we believe. >> steve: you would like their vote. thank you for joining us. you were just talking abouter foo, we have fox news alert. sien ares being heard in tel aviv at this moment, warning of possible incoming rockets. people are terrified. incredible live pictures of a rocket barrage and you see the smoke. >> brian: the mosque claims to have launched a missile from an airport. >> ainsley: major libby weiss is live from israel. thank you for coming on. so much happening and we are getting reports of y'all going into the beach, the helicopter went in to get the terrorists.
5:32 am
do you think there are more terrorists hiding? >> the responsibility is to keep israel safe and the slaughter and horror we saw this weekend, we are doing everything to be v vigilant is keep our eyes on hamas and the borders. the rocket barrage, there is a chance, i hope i won't during this call, we feel we are in a war zone right now. >> steve: that is one reason why yesterday you called up another 60,000 reservists against hamas. there are a number of reservists in the united states who would like to come and fight in the fight. if you are in the united states,
5:33 am
out of israel, i have a flooen that lives in the united states -- >> their homes and families and friends and outpouring from all over the world chartering private flights, arranging with one another, doing everything possible to get here. it speaks volumes about the sense of war we feel, how attacked we feel. we will fight for families and homes. >> brian: if the airport is rocketing, that stops a lot of transportation, are you surprised they were able to get to that. >> we have been saying this and talked about investment hamas has made in terror and having
5:34 am
rockets that can go far and millions invested in terror. it is something we said we thought would happen and no surprise they are wanting to terrorize israeli public. >> ainsley: what is the latest on the hostages? >> we are in a sense of national mourning and tragedy that everybody is feeling is overwhelming. we know and we're monitoring the situation closely around dozens of hostages and seen horrific images, grandmothers, babies, children, festival goers, people who have done nothing, truly innocent civilians doing everything to bring them home and have that happen as soon as possible. hamas could release them
5:35 am
immediately. fastest way would be for hamas to release them. we are monitoring as closely as we go. >> do you look at it as positive egypt opened up, don't worry about killers, terrorist getting out with the civilians? >> it is important to say we are not trying to target civilians in it is gaza strip, we are after hamas. after hamas terror targets, we want to prevent hamas from continuing to attack. we have nothing against gaza in any way. >> steve: looking live at images from gaza city, couple of mushroom clouds and you targeted
5:36 am
strategic locations. going back to the idf, they were worried you were running low on ground troop supplies because things like vests or helmets, one of my friends were told, if you have one, bring it, we need more stuff. i know the biden administration is trying to get you more stuff. what do you need right now? >> i think right now we are focusing on the mission at hand. of course people bring supplies from home, i suppose that is part of reality where people serve in military and are active and we look to our friends and appreciate support we are getting. >> steve: what do you need from biden administration? >> support we are feeling and
5:37 am
that message that is being sent to hamas and other state upons that are supporting hamas and harboring other terrorists, i think that sense of unity is incredibly empowering and necessary throughout this entire conflict. >> what do you think the timeline will be, quick, go on for a long time like benjamin netanyahu is predicting? >> i don't anticipate this will be quick. we are in the fighting and it is ongoing situation we anticipate the take time. >> brian: they are armed, the know wos that are not fighting are ready to defend their houses, no place is safe. thank you, stay safe. >> brian: pentagon sending large aircraft carrier toward israel.
5:38 am
greatest ally in the mideast. how concerned should we be in the u.s.? retired navy commandser kirk liepold. commander, we are moving our aircraft carrier closer, what message do you think iran takes from that? what are we hoping they take from that? >> what the ieshgsz rannian people should take from that, united states are willing to use our capability to safeguard the u.s. security interest. it is essentially 90,000 tons of american diplomacy that can be exercised to help israel defend itself. >> brian: anthony, the "washington post" stories they know iran has been given 70
5:39 am
million in military equipment, training, hardware, manufacturing capabilities to hamas, why wouldn't we think we have tactical advice and planning on this very operation and if so, is it in israel interest to start hitting them directly? a lot of nuclear scientists have been assassinated in iran. should we see that, would you see that now if you are in israel calling the shots? >> brian and team, good morning. israel has near enemy, iran has near enemy, israel and far enemy, united states and iran is complicit with hamas and planning and developing the logistical support and you have russia, meetings between hamas
5:40 am
and rusia to provide support, as well. this is multi-front effort and israel first need to reestablish border and get into hamas and secure hostages and defeat and destroy hamas, which is very near target. meanwhile, i think as the commander said, the u.s. and allies can deter iran from further significant involvement in this fight. if hezbollah gets in, i think commander, if you have somebody able to pull off something that took rehearsal, you have paira gliders and toyotas and people coming by land and sea planning out beyond initial hit, how concerned if you are israeli about them having secondef wa,
5:41 am
hezbollah or hamas has a trap waiting for themed in gaza? >> very good point. i think israel will be concerned they have a one-front war, they are potentially two or multi-front war with hezbollah and other nations that may be in syria that are going to expand the conflict. hammer at hamas and defeat them and make them less capable military force in the gaza strip and more importantly, they need to make sure iran understands long-term they are the threat, short term, with hezbollah and long-term iran need to be held accountable. u.s. citizens, european citizens
5:42 am
have been killed. we witnessed when nothing happened, price we pay is 9/11. iran clearly has lo giftics and forces on the ground in the gaza strip advising hamas how to conduct operations. >> there is meetings between lavrov and -- during spring of this year and we notice russia who has good relation with israel have not said anything about this, theyed said this is more evidence much decline of the west. -- zelenskyy himself. >> the sophomoric understanding of geopolitics in the east
5:43 am
coerced israel to support ukraine, which put israel on the bad list as far as russia is concerned. they don't mind what is happening right now, they see this as stick in the eye of israel and the united states. they are going to continue to work with hezbollah, russia will and hamas and iran, why they are getting drones. this myopic focus on ukraine led to not understanding existential threat from hamas and iran and it is really been amateur hour within our state department. >> brian: not letting russia take eastern europe is in our best interest. turkish foreign minister spoke on terrorist act and i encourage
5:44 am
along with turkish foreign minister for ceasefire and release of all hostages. after a thousand people are tortured? for the secretary to put that in there is insane. we saw shots of rocket fire and are splitting the screen. reports of rocket fire into israel. if you are just joining, live we watched rocket barrages in gaza. huge plumes of smoke every couple minutes, another rocket attack and spokesperson denies the airport hit by any rocket and says operations continue to be just fine. interesting. congressman ryan zeinkereact to all this in a moment, don't
5:45 am
move. but i wonder if you just take a few seconds to pray with me real quick. in the name of the father and son, holy spirit. amen. lord jesus, come to us now. help us to surrender ourselves completely to you. help us to listen to your voice. even when we're distracted or tired, we pray this in the name of the father and of the son of the holy spirit. amen. thank you so much. i just want to encourage you that if you want to join me in more prayer, check out hallow it's the number one prayer app in the world.

department evidently gets their intelligence feed from the "washington post", journal or the times, and clearly there is a link between iran and hamas in this case. we funded billions of dollars in this and then of course you have the convey -- envoy today, which now suggests that pro-iranian may have funneled billions of dollars back door into iran. it is astonishing. >> what about you? >> it's also astonishing and amazing is the fact this is the
5:49 am
same administration that didn't see the collapse of afghanistan happening as quickly as it did. a massive attack on israel coming and with 1.5 million gotaways more than the entire population of montana, we're wondering what is this administration missing about what's going to happen in the homeland? biden's legacy is inflation, invasion, iran. the fact that we have people have an affordability crisis and everything is so expensive, you have millions of people flooding our borders bringing fentanyl and drugs killing people in the nation and the fact that he turned his back on israel and people in this administration calling for cease fires, governors saying good people on both sides? we must stand by our allies. we must make sure the issues that are facing our nation are addressed and this administration is failing on every account. >> speaking of our allies, we're getting this information just officials say israeli air strikes have killed two senior hamas officials in gaza.
5:50 am
so they are taking the fight commander straight to them right now. >> absolutely. god bless the state of israel. they are under siege and they are at war. but what our response needs to be and we need to get our act together and absolutely we stand with israel, 100%. so yes, it's nice to have a carrier force there but we need an administration that recognizes the link between iran and hamas and these actions. this administration looks like they were pumping billions of dollars back door around sanctions. which shouldn't be a surprise. remember the last $6 billion they had to launder money in the middle east because to prevent it violating the sanctions. >> john kirby says yesterday on fox they can freeze the money at any time. >> good time to freeze it right about now. let's freeze it. but clearly, look, israel is under siege. they have potential obviously a
5:51 am
lot of hostages. our hearts and prayers go out to them. but we have to take this very, very seriously. when you have a country like iran that launches missiles that says destruction of israel on the side of it and coordinate mass destruction is what we were seeing here, we have to take it seriously. >> i want to get your reaction to the house vote supposed to happen tomorrow. you have the closed door meeting. john james, where are you standing on this? will there be a unified republican caucus tomorrow for that vote? >> we have some work to do and there are a number of us who believe that we have to address the reason why we're here in the first place before we can move on. it seems that the folks who were responsible for getting us here are the ones who want us to sing kumbaya. we're here because democrats voted lock step to ejects a speaker along with eight
5:52 am
republicans. now it is incumbent on us to make sure we have a successor. i support steve scalise. he can hold the biden administration accountable and we're surrounded. we're a beacon of hope and sanity with a sea of democratic controlled d.c. by the white house and senate and this administration that can actually bring us back to fiscal responsibility, address debt, secure the border and get the speaker who will move us forward and get the most conservative bills passed signed by the president as quickly as possible. >> we are getting more information from israeli embassy in the u.s. saying the death toll has risen to more than 1,000 lives right now. >> look at our border. we're concerned about our border. the department of homeland security just said they had 2 million people they lost track of, 175 terrorists or so.
5:53 am
we have no border, and we need to solve the border now. whatever happens in the house, my vote is to make sure we solve america's problem that's getting the border. >> who will you be voting for, jordan or scalise? >> we need a unified front. we need to address things like the border. and for -- >> who will it be? >> steve scalise, now contingency wants to change the rules back so kevin mccarthy gets a second shot. jim jordan. i know them all and they are all great americans. >> who will the commander be casting his vote for. >> whoever can deliver the border, defense, whoever can get this country and this congress headed in the right direction to fix it. look, we need the border now. >> congressman, thank you so much. commander, captain, the for joining us. looking live at gaza.
5:54 am

we're learning the names of four americans taken hostage by hamas terrorists. they are these four. at the top of the hour in about 90 seconds their families are holding a press conference to talk about family members and call on president biden for help. because u.s. families missing a loved one want the president to
6:00 am
get involved. the worry is, as you look at gaza and the israeli military is striking, the worry is their loved ones, all the hostages are there in gaza somewhere. and the worry is that as the israeli military strikes back, they might kill the hostages. >> hamas spokesperson said militants will kill one civilian hostage every time israel targets civilians in homes in gaza without warning and put that in an audio statement. >> we have hostage experts in our military and in our f.b.i. robert o'brien, national security advisor who specializes in hostage recovery said we have to get involved directly. that was before he thought americans were there. for these families to band together to get our administration's attention is embarrassing. >> the idea of 200 targets overnight. dozens during our show. i'm sure more in "america's newsroom."
