invasion of hamas. and their territory. earlier today secretary of state blinken reaffirmed america's unwaivering support of israel. >> babies slaughtered, bodies desecrated, young people burned alive, women raped, parents executed in front of their children, children in front of their parents. how do we even to understand this, the message that i bring to israel is this. you may be strong enough on your own to defend yourself, but as long as america exists, you will never have to. we will always be there by your side. >> harris: let's go to trey yingst reporting from the ground, southern israel.
9:04 am
trey. >> trey: good afternoon. we've just returned from the site of that music festival massacre, with the army. we were looking through the area and we could see so many cars left open in the middle of the road. people tried to get out and run for their lives. it was a music festival like anywhere in the world, different stations for people to set up and paint and other areas, you could see dj's and a big camp site. it was place of joy and happiness until the militants came and stormed the ground, killing so many people. at the site, authorities were there digging through the remains of a bus, looking for the bodies of individuals, israeli civilians who had been burned underneath that bus. we were looking at this area, a gunshot rang out in the air and the army told us, everyone get down, we need to move. we started running and the army
9:05 am
ran into the woods and in the treeline next to where we were reporting, they pulled out a palestinian militant. they brown his hands behind his back and put a blindfold on him and took him out. there are militants throughout the area and infiltration attempts. to give you a sense of the terror inflicted on this population, yesterday we visited kibbutz beeri, that had a thousand people, 10% of the community was slaughtered in the cross-border attack. i need to warn our viewers, the following images are incredibly graphic. take a look. >> the road toward southern kibbutz of beeri, lined with israeli soldiers and the body of
9:06 am
palestinian militants they killed. cct video shows hamas fighters waiting at the gate of this quiet community before ambushing a civilian car where they inflicted unimaginable terror on the population of 1000. >> people did someone cut their head and capture and someone accused them children in the same room and someone come and killed them all. >> the kitchen floors are stained with blood, people were home early in the morning on saturday when hamas militants stormed into their homes and soldiers found bodies that appeared to be executed. people with hands tied behind their backs, mothers holding small children, bodies decapitated. >> in beeri, small details paint
9:07 am
a horrific picture, legos on ground, food a top a table, just like any home would have. people resting on the weekend with their loved ones. now 10% of beeri is dead. >> the bodies of local residents litter the area. they did not have anywhere to go, no one to help them. the smell of death pierces the air, there is nothing left to this community. we talk a lot about the bombs and the rockets and the strikes and the artillery, but this is a story about people. people who were at home and were massacred and israelis are finding scenes and aftermath following the attack on saturday. you can see the jeeps going behind me preparing for the ground operation into gaza. harris.
9:08 am
>> harris: a wording difference today, is it technical different or what? we have known from officials in the united states, what they are doing is softening the ground to go in for a potential, possible innovation. when you say words like eventual, are you seeing a tick up in that softening on the ground? how do you know what is coming in your estimation based on what you are seeing? >> trey: based on the officials we have spoken to, it ask not if israel will go into gaza, but when. we spoke with a military officer a few moments ago and he indicated that the scenes we are seeing in capturing on our camera are the same scenes that are motivating his soldiers. you could see in his eyes, he told me, we will hunt down every single terrorist, those were his words. that is the plan, the israelis
9:09 am
going into gaza and going after every single member of hamas they can find. they don't care if it takes months, they plan to do just that. based on the staging, you see jeeps go behind me, tanks and ap c and soldiers off in the distance appear to be getting ready for month long operation. you don't want to guess how long it will take, the infrastructure is here for israelis to be here for quite sometime. harris. >> harris: trey yingst, thank you very much. we want to take you to something happening live just seconds ago. tel aviv, where families of hostages are speaking. let's watch together. >> three eyewitnesses, terrorists came and sprayed bullets into the bomb shelter and threw grenades into the bomshelter and his left arm was blown off somewhere around his
9:10 am
elbow and he was taken in a pickup truck toward gaza. his phone was last signalled from the border with gaza and we have not heard from him since early in the morning on saturday when he sent us two texts at 8:11. the first one, i love you, and the second one said, i'm sorry. we have not heard from him since. we are assuming that if he is alive, he is in grave danger with a critical wound. we want him to have immediate medical treatment and we obviously want him home. thank you. >> do you get a sense from
9:11 am
secretary blinken of how the u.s. is trying to bring your son home? >> it sounded like the secretary of state was really exploring all different options. i think it is obvious that this is going to be a very complicated situation and he eluded to different ideas that they're pursuing, but obviously they are not allowed to share everything, it is all very sensitive information. he was very sympathetic to us. the administration, the state department, everyone that the u.s. embassy here, everyone in the room felt very much supported by the americans and by the secretary of state. >> what is your message to
9:12 am
israeli government as they consider a ground incursion into gaza, what that could mean for your son and other hostages? >> we're all very worried about it. it is natural if you know your loved one is someone where there might be imminent danger, it's obviously a huge concern balanced with the reality there is still complete real danger for our country right now, for this country and this nation and it's really difficult complicated calculus to figure out how to make this happen and we're hopeful. >> your name again? >> i'm rachel goldberg, the mother of hersh goldberg poland. >> harris: we are writing down the names, you and i kayleigh,
9:13 am
in our faith, you say the names of those you pray for. we saw that mother there and i imagine she will be among those for open invitation we learned about last hour. i interviewed the family, the mom and uncle in focus last hour and they had just learned about a meeting that will be held with israeli dignitaries and members of military leadership to talk with parents of hostages that they know of about what will come in terms of rescuing them and the uncle told me, i don't want to hear it is going to take a week, i want to hear it is happening tonight. those parents are expected to be there. i imagine the family of hersh will be there, as well, and we will bring you the news from the parents. it tells us what could be going on with the americans held hostage and all of them must be
9:14 am
rescued. we're hearing little about the american hostages and the 16,000 americans on the ground who need flights home at this point. every drip we can bring about those unaccounted for or missing or stuck there, we'll tell you. i want to bring in now, if we can -- let's talk amongst ourselves for a second and digest a little of what we're seeing. i thought it was interesting, paul, when we saw trey yingst there at yet another place where you could see tanks going by. and the preparation of not if, but when now a ground invasion will happen. your thoughts? >> >> paul: this is obviously a large operation, hamas knew it was coming when they carried out this entire attack. they are dug in in tunnels. working intelligence in the city, the israelis and this is out here, i'm not giving
9:15 am
anything up. they are looking at a particular quadrant of gaza they will be concentrating on first. they know locations of some areas they'll have to hit, they don't know them all. one thing they are doing is pulsing their sources is the intel term, they are looking hard at what they know about where terrorists are, where combatants are going to be. hamas will use human shields and this is part of the fact that either hamas is badly miscalculated here, which is a possibility, or they have been use as idiots for iran. iran said reset calculus in the middle east, we can't have alliance with the saudis, what means do we have to disrupt that? this is something you are not seeing a lot of reporting on, iran bridged a gap between the
9:16 am
sunni and shia world. hezbollah is shia. only way to get those two to operate in coordination is iran. >> harris: another one, saudi arabia and iran. 45-minute called it. that is right. >> harris: we bridged those two countries together. we were just talking with saudi arabia, bret baier sat down with the crown prince. 45 minutes? who brings them together better than other terrorists? that is what hamas has done. emily. >> emily: as we talk about what to expect in the future, under questioning from senator tom cotton, defense secretary lloyd austin said we've been attacked by iran or proxies 83 times while president biden has been president and have responded militarily four.
9:17 am
as we approach solidarity with israel and our president stated we will stand behind them, i wonder what that looks like and what our response would look like if another attack happens via proxy. based on this president, there is no reaction commensurate or deserving. put that with conversation with mike pompeo, anticipating the weakening position that we are, eroding position of strength day-by-day because of this administration and policy at our southern border in ukraine, israel, etcetera. there is no position we're in at this moment that represents anything close to strength and certainly not with confirmed position being vacant and empty. >> harris: speaker of the house? >> emily: that, too. >> harris: the vote changed a bit, it is not 218 they need, like that part?
9:18 am
they can't put out a condemnation letter from the house because they don't have a house speaker. i don't care what they do in that chamber in terms of their leadership, i hope they are better representing people who voted for them by getting the speaker they want and all voices heard on the right and far right, great, can you do it in 15 minutes? why does this have to look like what it did when you chose mccarthy and they will keep that under wraps and we will not see anybody until a full vote. kellyanne, we need to get moving. >> kellyanne: we do. the testimony emily refers to with respect to 83 attacks by iran versus four military responses by the u.s., lloyd austin under oath. biden's iran reckoning is important, note a bipartisan comment. they go for their prey. putin annexing sovereign
9:19 am
nations, ukraine 2022 when joe biden in the white house. china salivating at taiwan and iran salivating at israel in this space on this show before. what that says, joe biden came into office and immediately suspended maximum pressure campaign president trump put on iran. leadership matters, i think he did it out of spite, not ideology. trump did it, i'll undo it and here we are. as mother of four teenagers, we got predictable letters from the woke schools already. i like fox news is showing the images, absorb them. we are getting letters, moms are talking, i don't want my kid to consume this. people have to stare at this and
9:20 am
see sheer humanity in front of us. don't look away, we're not worried about consumption of porn by young men or girls taught how to be bulimic online. look at this, young people have to know this is out there, this is depraved conduct. idiots on other networks asking for proof of babies being beheaded. >> harris: i was shocked. >> kellyanne: comments like that have no place. i don't want to hear about the first amendment. i want to say that about those like fox news allowing reporters to show us, describe the stench and the horror. we need to stare it in the face, this is no time to look away. this country suffers from epidemic of looking away, not this time, folks. >> harris: you mentioned my interview with mike pompeo, we have a little bit of that.
9:21 am
you will hear and echo what kellyanne said, let's watch. >> we have now got a land war in europe, land war in the middle east. we've got thousands of people streaming across the southern border everyday. united states is more at risk today than it has been in a long time and each case a set of policies delivered outcomes. kayleigh. >> kayleigh: he's exactly right. we were on with trey yingst yesterday and remember he was trying to take us around kibbutz and the camera froze and we were talking about can we get the images tomorrow. we got the images in kibbutz beeri. what did we see? legos and the refrigerator with the beautiful israeli babies and i took my mind to friday night. what do you do on friday night? put your toddler to bed early, kiss them on the forehead and wake up the next day and prepare
9:22 am
breakfast on saturday morning. these kids went to bed and some didn't wake up the next morning or woke up to a hamas terrorist rifle and lost their lives. this is reality and i fear that we're already starting to see a little weakness and softening in the biden administration language. mark levin pulled this out of blinken's remarks. blinken said the prime minister and i discussed how israel does this matter, we democracies distinguish ourselves from terrorists. that is true, it echos biden's remark where biden said he discussed with netanyahu how democracies like israel and united states are stronger and more secure when we abide by the rule of law. forgive me president biden and secretary blinken, netanyahu is not the one who needs reminding about living by rule of law. that worries me they are leaving
9:23 am
this wedge to equivocate between the two groups. they have been ine85cable about iran so far. there will be civilian casualties, even though the hamas has been warned, move out of the way. >> harris: talk about softening the ground, that is what i saw last night on another network and i named the person i was watching. there is, we don't know if babies have done decapitated, we have not seen the proof. you couldn't show it if you could. i don't know what that is about. last quick thought and we have a guest to bring in. >> kellyanne: they knew russia collusion without seeing it, this, they want to see it to believe it. i am glad antony blinken is there. >> harold: we are going straight there. secretary blinken. >> today, tomorrow, everyday.
9:24 am
in my meetings with the prime minister, with president herzog, with the minister in newly formed national government, we discussed in detail what israel needs to defend itself, people and how the united states can help meet those needs. we're delivering on those needs as we speak and will work closely with congress to meet them as they evolve. this afternoon, i met with families of american citizens that hamas has killed or taken hostage. the enormity of their anguish, their loss, is immeasurable. for the families of the missing, there is unrelenting agony of not knowing the fate of their loved ones, something most of us can't truly understand or com10
9:25 am
plate. no one should have to endure what they are going through. there is so many families like them. united states is one of more than 30 countries where family members and friends, entire communities are forced to go through this experience because of hamas disdain for human life and human dignity. we are doing everything we can to secure release of hostages working closely with israeli partners. i brought deputy special representative for hostage affair, steve gillian, who joined my meeting and will stay on the ground here to support efforts to free their loved ones. i had a chance to see up close, inspiring solidarity of the people in the wake of the attacks. they have collected, sorted and
9:26 am
distributed donations to those in need, including families displaced from the south. i met with volunteers. one young couple told me how they narrowly escaped with their own lives with terrorists attacked the super nova music festival. they told me about their friends who were not fortunate, who were killed at that festival. others taken hostage. or still missing. in our time here in israel, everywhere we've gone we've met people who have been touched in one way or another by hamas's bloody hand. a loved one, a friend, a classmate, neighbor, a colleague, killed, maimed, missing. we encountered a nation knit together by grief, but also a nation united in resolve. united states shares that
9:27 am
resolve and stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of israel. from here, i'll go to jordan and meet with his majesty and president abbas and meet with leaders in saudi arabia, united arab emirates. we will use leverage to immediately and unconditionally release it is hostages and discuss how we can continue to make real our affirmative vision for a region that is more peaceful, prosperous, secure, more integrated and that is the choice and the choice in some ways has been made even more stark by the actions of hamas on saturday. one path forward is a region that comes together, integrated,
9:28 am
normalized relations, people working in common purpose and common benefit. more peaceful, more stable, then the path that hamas has shown in the stark clear light, terror, destruction, anilism, the choice could not be more clear, we know the choice that we're making, our partners are making. we have work to do to carry it through. in all that i did today, i was supported by an exceptional team here in israel, doing crucial work in difficult conditions led by remarkable affair stephanie hallett, who is doing an extraordinary job and look forward to welcoming jack lue,
9:29 am
to israel. this is the day that jews celebrate finishing the reading. jews will chant first words of book of genesis, read that in the beginning there was darkness and then there was light and the first person was alone until a partner joined them. i'm standing here today alongside our israeli friends and all those who reject terror to find glimmer of light even in this moment of deep darkness and make clear as long as there is united states israel will never be alone. with that, happy to take some questions. >> first question to shawn with afp. thank you mr. secretary, good evening. could i ask to begin with, prime
9:30 am
minister netanyahu shared what gruesome photos he said he shared with you. i know they are disturbing to look at, i want to see your reaction to those and if i may well understand and acknowledge great suffering experienced by israelis, there is concern about the situation in gaza, as well, people looking for food in light of the cutoff. was that discussed in terms of the humanitarian situation in gaza, any call for easing condition that are strained as we expect ground offensive? and one thing reported recently, report in "washington post" the united states and qatar have decided to slow down or suspend access iran has to the $6 billion, is that accurate and can you explain if this is a slow down or something more
9:31 am
formal than that? thanks very much. >> thanks, shawn. we did see photographs, videos, that the israeli government shared with us. some actually been seen and it is hard to find the right words. it is beyond what anyone would ever want to imagine, much less actually see and god forbid, experience. a baby, an infant, riddled with bullets soldiers beheaded, young people burned alive in their cars or in their hide-away rooms.
9:32 am
i could go on, but it is simply depravity in the worst imaginable way. it almost defies comprehension and i've been saying, to me, in the most immediate future harkens back to isis and some of the very things we saw when it was on its rampage that thankfully was stopped. so i think for any human being to see this. it is really beyond almost anything that we can comprehend, di digest. and i just add that when you see t this, you try to imagine, maybe
9:33 am
not try, you can't help but imagine yourself, your family, your loved ones, your friends in that situation, in that predicament and maybe the best word for it for me is overwhelm i ing. i think what is done is, as i said, united a country in profound grief and united a country in resolve. it is imperative the rest of us share that resolve. i said this earlier, this is a moment for moral clarity. this is a moment where everyone
9:34 am
needs to make clear that there is revulsion, disgust and determination, determination not to allow this to go forward. so images are worth a thousand words, these images may be worth a million. on the mediterranean situation in gaza, i think it is first important to remember the fundamental issue that makes this complicated. hamas continues to use civilians as human shields, something that is not new or something they have not done, putting civilians in harm's way and try to protect themselves or protect their infrastructure or protect their weapons. so that is one of the basic
9:35 am
facts that israel has to deal with. of course, civilians should not be used in any way as targets of military operations. they are not the target of israel operations. we did discuss ways to address humanitarian need of people living in gaza to protect them from harm while israel defends itself from terrorism and try to ensure this never happens again. we also talked about possibilities for safe passage for civilians who want to leave or get out of the way in gaza and that is discussion that we will pursue in the coming days, including the countries we'll be visiting. this is important and that is an area for focus. can regard to the $6 billion, first again, it is worth
9:36 am
repeating the facts, the facts get lost along the way. the money that iran accrued in bank accounts, in this case, in south korea for the sale of its oil, was done pursuant to arrangement established by the previous administration, the trump administration. none of the funds that have gone to qatar have been spent or accessed in any way by iran, indeed funds from that account are overseen by the treasury department, can only be dispensed for humanitarian goods, food, medical equipment and never touch iranian hands. we have strict oversight of the funds and we retain the right to freeze them. >> next question to gill tamory with channel 13. >> mr. secretary, thank you very
9:37 am
much. channel 13, as well. the president compared rightfully hamas horrendous massacre to isis, can you provide assurance to israel that the biden administration will not attempt to help israel effort until the goal of eliminating hamas from gaza is completely achieved regardless of how long it may take and with your permission, second question, if hezbollah opens a second front in the north, can we expect that if needed, the u.s. will need its military assets in the region to fight against hezbollah together with israel? >> thank you. with regard to the first question, president has been very clear. i've been very clear. we stand with israel. we stand with israel in determination to defend its
9:38 am
people, defend its country and determination to do everything possible to ensure what happened on saturday never happens again. and in that determination, we of course as you know, providing assistance, that will continue and we're working closely with congress to make sure israel has what it needs to do what it must. with regard to the second front, as i mentioned earlier, it is our determination and that of israel, as well, that there not be a second front or third front and we're working as harda we can working with other partners in the region to try to ensure that is the case. the president has been very clear, president biden, he's been very clear that no one
9:39 am
state or nonstate actor should try to take advantage of the moment. and he's backed up that warning with deployment of our largest carrier group, the gerald r ford, as well as again making sure that israel has what it needs and that we also have appropriate assets in place. beyond that, i will not speculate on future events. >> next question, ed wong with the "new york times." >> thank you, secretary blinken, many people liken horrendous violence by hamas to 9/11 in the u.s. the u.s. earned lots of goodwill after attacks and there were many expressions of solidarity around the world.
9:40 am
soon after the u.s. squandered that goodwill with invasion of iraq and i expect many people think the most landing consequences of 9/11 were two wars deemed disasters in hindsight. i wonder what lessons might you have for israel as friend of israel looking back at aftermath of 9/11? second, i wonder whether your team has an assessment of what hamas's gales were in carrying out the attacks and whether it has gotten any closer to those goals with these attacks? >> thanks, ed. let me say this with regard to 9/11. if you look at this in proportion to the size of israel's population, this is equivalent of 10 9/11s. that is how big each situation
9:41 am
is very different and it is important to keep that in mind. we are trying to draw lesson from past experience as may or may not be applicable. we are in very close conversation with israel about the work it is undertaking to make sure it can defend itself and its citizens and to the best of ability ensure it doesn't happen again. those are the objectives and again, i'll leave the operational details to israel and simply say again that as we have discussions, we're looking at past experiences, including many past experiences more
9:42 am
immediate to this challenge including gaza and including in the region. with regard to the goals of hamas, i think that is a question mostly on which i could speculate, but not give a clear, definitive answer. there are number of possible explanations. we have not heard from them what their goals are and i have to tell you that in many ways the simplest explanation may be the most compelling. this is pure evil. there may be second or third order interests. for example, i've noted this before, we've been engaged in trying to support and advance possibility of normalization between israel and saudi arabia and other countries that do not
9:43 am
have normalized relations with israel, something that is very challenging, very difficult, but also very possible and something that would have a profound effect on the countries in question and the region, region been in turmoil for so many decades. that through greater integration then has a path to much greater stability, much greater peace and opportunity for everyone in the region. who opposes normization. hezbollah, hamas, iran. that speaks volumes, as well. >> final question rb news. >> thank you. mr. secretary, did you discuss with netanyahu the need for israel to commit to
9:44 am
international law on the war in gaza and any more detail about the humanitarian corridors in gaza and following on my coll colleague's question, the person of the white house retracted president biden's claim of seeing pictures of beheaded children. but today you mentioned in your press conference about babies slaughtered and the woman, did you see evidence of that? thank you. >> to the first part of your question, you heard the president address this, i've addressed in different ways, which is to say this. for democracies like the united states, like israel, it's vi vitally important that we respect and follow international
9:45 am
law, humanitarian law, the law of war as applicable and it is standard that we hold ourselves to and it is a standard that we look to including if and when we fall short of it. this is something that motivates both of us and distinguishing us and other democracies around the world from terrorist organizations like hamas, which have absolutely no regard for the rule of law, for humanitarian rules and rights, for any basic standard of human decency. we were discussing they literally and deliberately target civilians. not just target civilians, target them in the most inhumane
9:46 am
ways possible. at the same time, use them as human shields. so that's profound distinction between our countries and a group like hamas. when it comes to the photographs, the videos, i describe what i saw today, that doesn't mean it is entire universe, had opportunity to see some photographs and videos unfortunately there are many, many, many others and everyday the world is seeing new evidence of the depravity and inhumanity of hamas. depravity and inhumanity directed at babies, at small children, at young adults, at elderly people, at people with disabilities. the list goes on and on a basic
9:47 am
human level, how anyone can not be revolted and cannot reject what they have seen and the world has seen is beyond me. thank you. >> thank you all. >> harris: so that was secretary of state antony blinken who has been there all day and all morning and we have been showing him meeting with survivor families, some hostage's parents and actual people at the music festival, like a 26-year-old woman we showed you that happening live on the focus, him consoling her. he is giving perspective before he gives that news conference, that is best way to do it. i want to bring in brent sad ler with heritage foundation. i know you were watching that, we were here on "outnumbered,"
9:48 am
your reaction to seeing our representation as all americans as an imminent ground invasion happens by israelis going after terrorists. give me your reaction to secretary blinken. >> a few things on the secretary's comments, he hasn't realized that hamas, in control of territory, the gaza strip has declared war against the united states by killing american citizens and having a number not sanctioned and fairly large number of hostages. hamas, like it or not, openly declaring war against the united states and obviously israel. it doesn't indicate he is taking action course that will affect the region. his trip to palestinian region and jordan indicate that in some
9:49 am
regard, unless abbas will go talk to putin to stand down and call out the actions of hamas in the suet, we'll be fighting again in a few years. >> harris: brent, what do we make of a 45-minute conversation with saudi arabia and iran, it was discussed they are in solidarity of -- you have enough experience to know what might have been said that affects us and matters. >> i'm skeptical how genuine concern is by other countries, arab nation about well being of palestinian people. supporting a death cult as hamas is showing true colors is not
9:50 am
showing care or regard for well being of palestinian people going back decades. this 45-minute phone call is about politics and how they deal with the situation unfolding and best of their advantages. i don't see much in alignment between saudi arabia and iran that will have any enduring value. real question what we will see what that phone call enables. >> harris: thank you, i appreciate your time today and you sitting by to watch secretary blinken's remarks from tel aviv, thank you. >> thank you. >> harris: you know, it is paul, you said earlier and maybe we can lean in a little bit more. i think when brent says not much may come of it other than politics between saudi arabia and iran, what are you watching for? >> what is going on here, remember the saudis see
9:51 am
themselves as locust of the sunny world in the northeast. they led us to al qaeda and isis and they created a monster they couldn't control. they cannot be tilting away from west bank, gaza, no matter what is going on with politics, they need to have a show. as he tsdz said, mile wide and inch thick, their interest with iran don't align and looks like a little victory for iran. >> harris: this is interesting. >> they want the idea they are controlling that area of the world and want that world to tilt toward the shia world and control that whole area and by getting a 45-minute call, more show than go. that said, it is a minor victory for iran, that is who is pulling the strings here thchl reminds
9:52 am
me of the hostage crisis, if they have hostages, so does iran. >> harris: wow, kellyanne conway. >> kellyanne: they get $6 billion in exchange for five hostages. >> harris: it was even prisoner swap, that was a sweetener. five for five, didn't have to throw that in. >> kellyanne: you will throw $6 billion in for good measure. i see a couple things here. number one, don't forget we released a lot of detaineeings and hostages and brought them home, i was in charge of that event on the south lawn. they talked about no money being exchanged. i'm glad secretary blinken is there, i want to remind everybody, he had a confirmation hearing and talked about his
9:53 am
step-father was the only person 12 years old who survived the holocaust in his entire family. this year, 2023, secretary blinken gave a moving speech about how the 6 million jews slaughtered during the holocaust, never because of single solitary event, it was built up. i looked at the remarks, calling ceasefire was irresponsible and less we hear from joe biden and kamala harris on any of this, the better. they make me afraid we are wew weaker by the moment. >> kayleigh: according to axios, president biden will be on "60 minutes" and we hope biden shows -- avi, i've been

following your reporting closely and it has been tearful and heartbreaking and you just heard our secretary of state describe pictures of seeing a baby riddled with bullets, secretary of state antony blinken talked about seeing a picture of a young person burned alive in his or her car. he ended by saying pictures are worth a thousand words, the ones i've seen are worth million. what pictures have you seen? >> i've tried hard not to see any of the pictures, but i did see them today. i was walking in the street and someone sent them to my phone and i had to stop and brace myself against a wall. these are photos no human being should see and once you see it, you can't unsee it. the fact someone could burn

children alive, decapitate babies, could skwut elderly in the street, that is unthinkable and that happened in southern israel and it changed so much about what we understand about who we are facing. people have viewed hamas as small rationale and pragmatic organization, recognized terrorist group that wanted welfare of its people. we saw an organization that is worse than isis and that is what we are contending with today and combating in israel today and everyday going forward. >> kayleigh: we woke up this morning, i raise two kids, i got my coffee and turned on the news. you began your day going to a funeral, there were so many funerals, there were digital signs. i believe we have images,

pointing which direction to go to. you attended a funeral of a 23-year-old, tell us about him and his funeral. >> so he is the cousin of a friend of mine, friend of mine from my army service. he was 23 years old, an immigrant from france. he was in kibbutz beeri, he held the line for eight hours and saved untold number of lives before he fell in battle. his funeral was attended by many people who didn't know him, but felt sense of kinship and desire to protect his sacrifice. there is digital display pointing people in the right direction. in the same section of the

cemetery, three other fresh grades from three young servicemen killed, one securing the music festival where 260 people were murdered. it is devastating time to be in israels and if our enemies thought they could tear us apart, they have another thing coming. we are never more unified than contending with external crisis, we will rally and we will forge ahead and we will win. >> kayleigh: the atrocities untold, a woman found murdered with a baby next to her, still attached to the umbilical cord. is that right? >> yeah, i heard that account from several sources. i understand there is a photograph, i will not look at it, some things i don't want to see. >> kayleigh: one solution you
9:58 am
had, you can't solve this or bring lives back, treating in fact hamas like isis. if you are a supporter of hamas, you are a supporter of isis, what would that look like from a governing standpoint? >> i think that is right, talk about hamas as isis-type organization and start treating it like such. there was international campaign led by the united states against ys, that is what israel is doing and deserve support as countries around the world protected isis and said supporters don't have a place in society, they will be deported and have their citizenship stripped, same should go for hamas. this is battle of civilizations. we have to understand who we are fighting against. >> kayleigh: it is not nation versus nation, this is terrorist
9:59 am
versus the u man tearian free world. thank you. emily, it puts it into perspective, think about beginning our morning here in western democracy of america and strongest ally israel, they are beginning their morning going to funerals. >> i keep thinking of trey's coverage, his outstanding vital coverage as he humanizes what is monstrous and for us and in the way of we have been going about my day and when i'm eating pictures in the process of eating saturday morning joyful morning. polls have shown americans are most relaxed and joyful on saturday morning and in kibbutz the slaughter occurred and every time i engage in everyday activity i think of hundreds of israelis who were slaughtered and the monstrosity of it all is
10:00 am
difficult to digest as we look at photo that makes us nauseated, that is what they are living, that is reality, i hope our president articulates such. >> kayleigh: harris, to hear the secretary of state say you can't help thinking of your loved ones and your family and putting yourself in that situation. >> harris: yeah, i mean, look at what the enemy has done. and marco rubio told me they want to be the leaders of who they are in that part of the world and that is depraved killers, known as the best at that. >> brave killers and terrorists. we'll give you updates. stay with us as the white house presdz briefing set to begin any moment.
