let's not forget about wages being higher than they were last year accounting for inflation. prices fell for core goods like cars and furniture for the fourth month in a row. all of these pieces are in the data and cpi that came out today and that matters. >> but people still hear bidenomics and rent is up 7.4% year over year, car insurance is up almost 19% and costs are not coming down for all americans. >> so, here's the thing, as we know that when it cops to housing, people are still deadeadeadealing with a lot; re? we understand how that economic hardship relating to housing and that's why the president put forth a plan on the federal level how to lower costs for housing for people. that's important as well. when you think about wages, wages are indeed up, which matters over the last year. accounting for inflation and even more for blew collar workers and those not in management so that matters. as i mentioned moments ago. the president will continue to
11:01 am
grow the economy. we talk about bidenomics and see the economy growing growing ande unemployment under 4% and more than 14 million jobs at this point .x that's what we're going to focus on and coming to republicans, they want to slash taxes for the wealth jim jordan and cut social security and medicare and medicaid and what's needed for the american people to give them that breathing room. that's what the president will focus on. let's not forget yesterday. >> is it still appropriate for the president to go to israel given the ground war and people trying to get out. >> the president has to do multiple things at once. the president is going to go to philly and continue to talk about bidenomics and what he's doing to bring back manufacturing, to create good paying jobs. that's what you're going to hear
11:02 am
from americans. that's something that americans also want to hear from. the president has been engaged in this situation that we're currently seeing, the horrific situation in israel and he'll continue to do that and engaininged today in the last every day since the attacks and we're going to do everything we can. we just announced, the state announced a charter flight and that's going to help get americans out of israel and i want to make that very clear and the president will make american as priority. he has to do multiple things at once. that's what you'll see the president do. go ahead. >> i want to go back to the chairman me mendez thing and in another realm, this would be a bigger fing deal. a successor to the president as chairman of senate floor relations committee. >> he's no longer chairman. >> no, but the president was once the chairman. >> i see what you're saying. you're making that connection.
11:03 am
successor. >> i got it. he's accuse odd being a foreign agent and nothing for that situation right now. has the president been brought up to speed on this. if he has no comment today, could we see comment on whether he has any concerns that someone with that kind of a position has been accused and whether he should be running for reelection. >> we've always said it's a serious matter, we've always said that and we'll continue trojans and treat that as a serious matter and i don't have anything else to share beyond statements from the president and nothing outside of that but of course, of course we see this as a serious matter. >> has the president requested any biographies on the families or victims in israel in order to have outreach with this number of americans killed that he'd have by letter or call or something, anything you can
11:04 am
share about that direct president biden to these? >> it's a very good question and you know this president, kelly, o, this is a president when it comes to human tragedy like this or any type of loss, this is a president that take this is very seriously and tends to reach out and have those conversations with family members who have lost a loved one. i don't have anything to read out to you at this time or to plan or anything like that to lay auto. but this is of course something -- out but this is of course something as the president of the united states, commander in chief, to hear what has 27, 27 american lives lost. this is something that affects him deeply. if and when we do outreach and have any conversation with the families who have lost their loved one, we'd certainly share that, but this is a president who wants to hear and wants to know about families that lost their lives and i have nothing
11:05 am
to share. >> go ahead. >> he attends catholic mass every week. is there any desire to go to a synagogue or a mosque for that matter or to have any kind of faith experience in light of this? >> i don't have anything to share as the president visiting synagogue or mosque obviously at the top of the briefing i mentioned how we're there for all faiths going through really difficult times in this moment and certainly when itcosms to what, you know, the question i was asked about homeland. we're going to certainly monitor and keep track but we're here for the jewish community and we're here for the arab community and here for the muslim community and here for the president and people to feel protected and safe and that's what his homeland security is doing and advisers here. that's why he met with them today to get an update and
11:06 am
certainly we'll stay on top of that. catherine. >> how concerned is the white house about getting resolution with the uaw strike and potential imabout s? >> we're going to monitor this very, very closely and the situation and certainly the economic impacts and the president says this all the time, you hear me say this all the time, we respect unions and their right to use their option for collective bargaining and we believe it works when both sides come together and work in this side and come together in faith and get a win win agreement. that's what we want to continue to see. we're not going to talk about specific tack takes or specifics in negotiations and certainly we'll monitor and continue to monitor.
11:07 am
>> they've been engaged and the jean serling the two with direct communication and certainly not part of the negotiation but offering any assistance that might be needed to the big three and uaw. >> the cause of the president's major address on ukraine to be delayed and does he still plan to look different. >> the update on the president and he said last -- or this week, next week he'll put forward a supplemental plan on additional funding he'll be asking for and don't want to get ahead of that. certainly the best path forward and no remarks and especially tensionive remarks that the president will be giving or
11:08 am
might give on ukraine. but certainly you guys will continue to hear from the president but all important matters domestically or foreign. thank you so much. >> sandra: 27 americans killed and 14 unacted for and -- unaccounted for and a warning from john kirby a short time before jean-pierre took to the podium. tough reports to come. this is not over. i'm getting americans out and new information on evacuations that are planned for american citizens who wish to leave. he said the u.s. is providing charter flights starting friday, the 13th. this friday for american citizens and their families who want to leave israel. given the limitations of that, they're also ex-employering getting those -- exploring getting those american citizens out by land and sea. go to travel.state.gov if you are someone that is seeking help to get out.
11:09 am
bill, there was quite a moment there about the $6 billion and the various reporting including fox news reporting that the administration is not allowing iran to access that $6 billion sitting in a qatar account. both secretary of state blingen and nsd spokesperson kirby refused to comment on that . i believe his only response when asked, kirby if we have any plans to withhold the $6 billion. no updates. >> bill: in addition to that, you have the french saying they have 13 dead, 17 unaccounted for. the hungarians have had at least two flights out of israel in the past 24 hours. they've already evacuated 325 of their citizens by air. they've evacuated today 65 more by ship to cyprus from where they will fly to budapest and go back home, but how we do this still remains to be scene.
11:10 am
certainly in israel, the airport in tel aviv is the main international airport. there's an international airport of smaller scale on the northern coast of israel. those are your two main ways oneiroin and out of israel. there's several ports of call up and down the coast. also up in the red sea up and around the resort town of illot, you can do that by boat. overland i find this to be -- over land i find this exceedingly difficult based on what the state department has put out and go to lebanon in the north or crossing into the west banker to jordan. that's an absolute no go and how they figure out how to get more planes in there or more ships and do it safely, successfully, and quickly is really the name of the game for the americans who want to get out there now. we have not been given a number as to how many americans want to leave israel as of this moment.
11:11 am
standing be with us, sandra, robert o'brian, former national security adviser. welcome to the broadcast and talk about the 17 unaccounted for. you specialized in this during your days in the trump administration. getting americans to safety and freedom from unfriendly countries in governments. this is an entirely different matter. you have hamas militants who in all likelihood are holding these innocent americans in a tunnel somewhere in the gaza strip. how do we figure this out? >> we've got to use all the tools of national power to do it. i'm helpful that secretary blinken brought the deputy secretaries with them and we'd like to be more robin lou bust and preposition our special forces and that's in the region for the target opportunity arises and we're getting people out for the time and i'm
11:12 am
surprised by that and there's not enough operate to torrers to rescue hostages and they're on the ground if they need us. we need to be actively engaged in diplomacy and iran and telling the iranians that we're going to hold them responsible and hamas isn't shooting a bb gun with that approval from iran and we need to tell the iranians we're holding them responsible because of these actions and third we need to warn hamas and so far secretary blinken is very eloquent and a very smart man and didn't say anything to secretary schultz or baker or -- schultz or baker or rice or pompeo and 17 americans killed and 17 -- 27 killed and 17 un-inged for and hostages and leveraging hamas and not talking about things like you can't run
11:13 am
and hide and let a lot of americans go and every last one is accountable. >> sandra: robert, what did you make of kirby's warning off the top of his remarks and gave update on 27 americans killed and 14 unaccounted for at this hour. saying there's going to be additional gruesome images and tough reports to come. this is not over. what was your reaction? >> well, look, hamas is acting like isis and they've got a long history of taking hostages and they hold them for long periods of time often and we saw with isis they executed hostages for propaganda purposes so that's likely to happen. that's why america has to be strong and we can't -- stand by israel and great to say we stand by israel and more time talking
11:14 am
about trying to justify a $6 billion ransom payment to iran this weekend and more time talking about israel undertaking of war and the slaughter of innocent civilians and we're spending time lectures and having continuing discussions and admiral kirby and we have continued discussions with the israelis about they're obligation of war and they've got lawyers and they've always following the law of war. we're going to spend time lecturing them rather than iran about supporting terrorism and allowing their proxy hamas to take 17 americans hostage. this is getting ridiculous. >> robert o'bean thank you for your time. >> bill: thank you for your time now. >> sandra: thank you, robert. >> thank you, bill and sandra. >> sandra: military response
11:15 am
and bring in jennifer griffin joining us live from the pentagon. jennifer, despite the reports that this administration is not allowing iran to access that $6 billion. we did not hear any confirmation of that from john kirby and simply said no updates on that right now. >> the qatar rendition of anthonys helping to negotiate and to deliver the message if any americans or israeli hostage tans are hurt or killed that there will be consequences. you also heard the president yesterday saying saying that he would not tell reporters when he was addressing jewish leaders at the white house and would not tell reporters what he was going in terms of moving special operations forces into the region or around the region.
11:16 am
he wouldn't tell them what he was doing to get the hostages home because that's not what you do before you have intelligence and staged a possible rescue. some of this criticism is a little oust sized and defense secretary lloyd austin spoke this morning from nato headquarters after basically two days of meetings with nato defense ministers to talk about ukraine and israel. here's what he said. >> make no mistake, we can and will stand by israel even as we stand by ukraine. united states can walk and chew game at the same time. >> "i briefed the nee toe defense minister's meeting in brussels on developments in the war against hamas. i describe the atrocities committed by a mas against infants, well, the elderly.
11:17 am
i isis of gaza will not exist on our boarders and idf will destroy hamas. i was deeply moved by statements of solidarity by my counter parts an the world. this is not just our war but a war on freedom around the world". 2200 u.s. marines taking part with kuwait in military drills and return to the uss baton in the gulf off the coast of bahrain near the straight of who mouth and the unit that's capable of u.s. special operations was told that re-loathe load 48 hours after their disembarked in kuwait to prepare for further taxing of events and reverence to hamas attack on israel and missing americans. >> we've not seen any massing of forces along the border this and again, this is something that
11:18 am
ziti a reallies are foe -- israelis are focused on and we're looking for additional things that could widen the conflict here and hopefully we won't see those things but we've not seen that to this point. >> if we had the indications, we'd share with israel but to my knowledge, we did not see that. >> secretary of state anthony blinken deputy special envoy for hostage affairs staying in israel to coordinate with the israelis and help the families of the american hostages. sandra. >> sandra: jennifer, thank you. >> bill: in the meantime, house republicans demanding to know more about the u.s. special envoy for iran. robert malley suspended in june under investigation for mishandling classified information. from the justice department now, david spunt is tracking this story and how long has this
11:19 am
investigation been out there, david? >> hi, bill, it's been since june that it was made public and a source tells fox news it's an active investigation by the fb and i recollects early reports indicate he possibility mishandled classified information and has extensive experience with u.s. iranian affairs and advocate of iran nuclear deal and original architect of the deal and critics say he was in touch with iranian officials drawing concern from others in the biden administration specifically the state department and secretary antony blinken in israel today and received a letter from james comer asking for more information about the malley investigation. he writes "the committee is investigationing the biden administration's efforts to conceal details from the islamic republic from congress and statutory investigations from oversight". we caught up with jamie raskin
11:20 am
from maryland and asked him about this letter. watch. >> i haven't seen what they're talking about, but i have great confidence in the biden administration and very little confidence in the republican conference unfortunately. >> according to a source, his security clearance remains suspended and law enforcement investigation remains on going. not many answers at least publicly right now. >> bill: sure seems like that. david thank you. david spunt tracking that down from doj. nice to see you. sandra. >> sandra: update and very latest developments and israel striking back as nation enters it z sixth day of war with hamas and authorities dee claireing the entire area around gaza a military zone expecting for a ground invasion. pix breaking news this past hour, white house confirms the american death toll is now at 27. 14 americans remain unaccounted for. >> sandra: secretary of state antony blinken and national security council spokesperson john kirby refused to confirm the u.s. and qatar agreed to

hold off on releasing the $6 billion in iranian funds. they say none of it has been accessed and are "watching every dime". >> bill: beginning tomorrow, the u.s. starts to arrange ch charter flights to arrange safe passage autoof israel. more on the scramble to get out. first, sandra. >> >> sandra: greg palkot live on the ground in sderot, israel, at this hour. to you, greg. reporter: sandra and bill, yeah, we're in day six of this israel and hamas war and it is intensifying on a variety of fronts. first we've been witnessing the pounding of gaza by the israeli air force day and night. hamas targets being leveled and collateral damage as well and civilian residents going up and some 300,000 people displaced by
11:22 am
the bombing. as we've seen around here and big military base, the preparations for a ground incursion are underway. 360,000 reservists added to the standing force of israeli military and rows and rows of tanks, armor personnel carriers we've been witnessing in the last couple of days. you've been talking about death toll and should be noted again, 1300 dead in israel and the u.s. is 27 of that and palestinians up to 1400 dead. he's here and the president and also as well as some american families of hostages and those who have lost their lives and, yes, that hostage total is 150 and we're make it out to break down about 97 israelis and 14 possibly americans and a lot of other nationalities and it must

be stress. this there's a lot of could be triple-demics involved and not just israel and not just the united states. again, we've been talking about and coming from the militants and ashkelon we've been in down the coast and they've seen rockets from the hamas militants going off into the ocean thank heavens. iron dome we've been hearing the blast and we've been talking and defenses have been working to keep those rockets away and aleppo for material and men coming from iran going into the action and we've even saw casualties in an incident in jerusalem and the threat of this becoming not just a one front

war >> trapped in a r war zone unfolding today. the white house announcing last hour the u.s. will arrange charter flights from israel to europe starting tomorrow. that would be welcome news as the growing number of u.s. airlines suspended flights to that country. roman and alessia thompson are citizens stuck in israel. madison is live at the airport in new jersey. what are we hearing about that? reporter: hey, bill, all airlines suspended service to tel aviv and thousands in israel are stuck. forced to pay thousands of dollars and take multiple flights to get out on their own. that is until about an hour ago when we heard from the national security council spokesperson john kirby announcing that the u.s. would begin chartering
11:25 am
flights from u arkansas israel to elsewhere in europe and starts tomorrow. the family had flights canceled on monday and by tuesday morning they were on a flight from israel to greece and then greece to london and finally london back home to newark airport and spent thousands of dollars and were disappointed with the lack of urgency from the u.s. government. >> we left the middle of the night and the morning flight was quiet and police and army presence the whole way and airport with a lot of security and a lot of people trying to leave the country. there's no flights and i know people were trying to get american government involved to get flights to bring other people but american government let us down. reporter: soy mentioned they flew first from greece from israel and that's a common path for those in israel and live in

the country. that's why united airlines has already added two round trip flights from athens this week and that flight departing here from newark at 9:45 p.m.. when it comes to travel to israel, it should be only those that absolutely need to get out of the country much the state department issuing a dortmouth do not travel warning to americans to gaza because of armed conflict and a reconsider travel warning for west bank and israel because of terrorism and civil unrest and all might be elevated to do not travel soon we've also in light f the news reaching out to airlines a that operate in airlines in the u.s. bill and san grady trimble draconian. >> seems like it's only going up and increase as you point out,

whether or not americans are on the hook to pay to get themselves out or whether the state department will be stepping in and he said that's on a case by case basis and they're exploring actively a range of options to assist americans who do want to leave. this is obviously a priority right now for the state department and these are exit points and geographical locations in countries in some ways that americans look to get out in the coming hours and dais. our next guests were in israel when the fighting broke out on saturday and trying to get back to the united states. roman and alexis thompson joining us now. roman, give us an idea of your struggle so far. >> well, it's been incredibly stressful the past couple days. basically we have to change our plan ever hour or two and lot of
11:30 am
variables and and things changing and new news coming in and doing our best to get home and it's been very difficult. >> roman, where are you and what have you tried so far? call an airline and check in with the airport. >> we're in jerusalem and had a flight booked that was canceled and tried to get on the only flight flying out but their nearest flight was over a week away, a week and a half that we could book on. so we've been looking into other options. some put us in touch with an organization called project dynamo and they're plan was to charter a flight for 300 americans to leave the country.
11:31 am
>> what's your communication with the state department? >> one e-mail saying we might be able to leave in the next couple hours or days. we don't have any specifics and this is a struggle for us with two americans and hold two identities and this is us as people that really care that our brothers and sisters are being murdered and we have the luxury to leave but the american government isn't necessarily responding and we have to find other means or pay a lot of money to find a flight that aren't even available to fly out at this point. >> alexis and roman. would you consider >> it's like
11:32 am
the 1900 ands stuck in a different century and it's like holocaust times at this time point and we're not used to that as americans and not used as jews growing up in our generation and this is a time of strange and unusual circumstances so leaving on a boat. they don't have large boats apparently. >> there's so much own certainty for both of you. >> pressure on america to come home and our parents are friends are worried desperately and roman came for a movie and he
11:33 am
was actually playing a war hero in the movie and ended upcoming true, which is ironic but the point right now is that we are two jews in between two worlds where the people that we want to fight for and stay with here and the people that are calling us home, it's just a very confusins and he's highly suggesting that we leave. >> on top of that, there's a lot of misrepresentation of what's actually going on here in israel. so we feel very blessed to be able to know or to be able to report when we get back home because a lot of our friends are misinformed and it's a really sad tale to watch unfold. >> bill: alexis, we can only

imagine. we'll stay in contact with you and maybe get progress in a day or so. thank you for sharing your story. >> thank you so much. a thanks for having us tonight. >> sandra: we will stay in touch with them for sure in their journey and brook army medical center in san antonio, texas, treats those in combat with what it it's like to be on the front line and fox is getting mel tear dos inter-specs perspectives on what's it it lice on the ground and benjamin hall rebuilt his life after that devastating attack -- devastating attack in ukraine. benjamin, it's great to see you. what's it like being back there? >> yeah, nice to see you too,
11:35 am
sandra. more than anything i think it is inspirational. there's always recovery afterwards the doctors and physioand nurses got me better and they're talking about israel and attack that happened there and looking at whether or not here in the u.s. cities, hospitals can prepare for that kind of attack and mass scale attack. we're speak to people another hospital and they said, yes, in fact once a year there's these sort of operations where they plan and they went -- they walk through the steps as if an attack is happening and they get ready for that. certainly here in the u.s., people are ready but they're watching israel and seeing how to help if they can. take a listen to some of the doctors i spoke to today. >> we have a lot of experience from our 20 years of war between iraq, afghanistan and where we've been. we've learned a lot of lessons of what is happening when you see injured on the ground in israel right now.
11:36 am
we've got that constitutional memory. >> when there's no active combat, it's constant cycle. >> there's some concern that many doctors that had suck experience over the last 20 years are now leaving the service and per happens that level isn't in the same place. listen to what another doctor told me. >> something like israel happened and all of that experience has left. we either need to be able to pull it back in or make sure it never leaves. the system is hemorrhaging badly of people that were very experienced in this. >> emotional for me to go back and interesting to see how the all the doctors are watching israel and watching ukraine to see what they can learn and how they can keep exactly the same
11:37 am
level of competence in the medical facilities they need to in case forever perhaps something happened again. sandra. >> benjamin hall for us. benjamin, thank you for i think bringing that to us and our viewers. >> remarkable stuff. thank you, ben. >> attacks of saturday morning and next guest is saying it's america's interest, best interest to defeat hamas on behalf of israel. heat and safe and going to join us in a moment. >> their claims overfree speech are not free from backlash. >> these are universities who indulge the idea that words can cause violence but they seemingly have nothing to say about true violence.

mobilizing and that's what i saw. in terms of americans that are there. they want to get home and united states government should help them and governors are helping them in case ophryon desantis but and israel's war is becoming america's war with nearly 30 americans reported killed and a large number as well are unaccounted for. we know that the national security adviser reported there's american hostages if hamas doesn't return these hostages, the united states needs to respond and bring the americans home. so what's become clear in the days since i was in israel to now, the bill america is now part of this conflict and israel's war has become america's war. >> sandra: i want to play this out, these are -- this is just a sampling of the anti-israel protests that we're seeing take
11:49 am
place right here oturu home in the united states. listen. >> five, six, seven, eight, israel is a racist state. >> from the river to the sea. >> occupied people have a right to resist their occupation. >> sandra: are you surprised by these popping up all over the country right now? >> yeah, i'm surprised at the same time the reality is that the president of the united states and our leaders in this country have the moral clarity to recognize where there's pure evil and what hamas is doing on israel is pure evil and right after israelis who have to deal with brutality and a loss of their family members and have missing family members hostage in israel are the palestinian people in gaza suffering under the brutal re-seem and palestinians don't want hamas to
11:50 am
rule over this and brutalized their own people in gaza and terribly misguided people that have sympathizers of terrorist and they are minority voice and we have to remember that and media is focusing on them and shocking that anyone could support such a brutal group like hamas. at the same time they don't reflect the views of the majority of american people, the overwhelming majority of american people. >> bill: well, there's a movement in the middle east that you know before this happened who toward peace and antony blinken now is going to meet with leaders in jordan, saudi arabia, united arab emeritas, egypt and cut qatar and a lot of leaders deny want this to occur. and looking for the region to stay out and likely iran was on the outside of that deal. and now we see what's left
11:51 am
behind. >> thanasiss, bill. >> bill: glad you and your family are safe. thanks, roger. hundreds of thousands of reserve forces deployed in the biggest and fastest mobilization israeli history. what are the next step, retired kernel of idf is with us now. sir, thank you for your time. it's nice to see you, ma'am. colonel, thank you for being here. can you give us an understanding about what it's like to conduct a war in an area like the gaza strip? >> we're not at the stage of conducting that from inside the gaza strip. it's from outside and from aircraft and artillery and and conducting ground operations in the oddest way, bill. you've been here a lot over the years and inside the state of israel in all of the different communities i'm sure you've been showing and that's where you're doing right now what i'll call
11:52 am
the clean up against the terror cells that came in in droves on saturday bringing in an enormous amount of weapons and the next stage will be when we do go in on a ground operation. that is going to look as bad as it sounds and there's no easy way. i very much agree with the person talking before that we have no choice, going in right now, you cannot allow the 30,000 terrorist operatives that are in the gaza strip. it says till now that maybe we killed 1500 in israel and that means there's 20,000, 30,000 still in the gaza strip with with enormous ams of weapons and getting to that, you have to do a ground operation at the price it's going to ick tafanely. they hide behind their own civilians. >> sandra: colonel, this is secretary austin on no military equipment sented into israel. listen here. >> in terms of conditions that we would place on the security
11:53 am
assistance we're providing to israel, we've not placed any conditions on the provision of this quicks. this is a professional military led by professional leadership. >> sandra: these are go going to be huge decisions in the days and weeks to come as to what we do and how we help israel prepare and provide to them and what does all that look like, colonel? >> we're looking at it right now. the first thing is going to be to fill up we hawkeyes we need for example and a lot more iron dome intercepters with everything going on, this was the most barbaric attack talking about extensionively and going on in the sense and civilian and civilian communities in such a broad way and parallel to fight firing thousands upon thousands of rockets into israel over the last six days and it's to fill up the munitions themselves, to give us that sense and
11:54 am
capability to be able to continue to withstand those rocrockets and let's be clear, nobody yet knows what's going to happen on israel's northern front with hamas' big brother i have no better way to p put it, which is the second hybrid terror organization and it's ten times bigger and we need the capability to withstand any kind of opening of additional front and hovering in the background is the iranian threat but right now i'm focused on first against this hamas infrastructure that you have to take apart and informing neighborhoods and leave them and leave the hamas terrorists sit-inned amongst you in the gaza strip and need the capabilities to withstand the opening of the second front in the by hezbollah. all of these by the united states, it's most amazing for us it's so strong and i'm sure you talked about this yesterday but the only thing that brought smile to israeli faces yesterday
11:55 am
after president biden's speech which was amazing was the arrival of aircraft carrier and looking secure at possibility of northern front. >> colonel, prime minister benjamin netanyahu said earlier hamas must be eliminated. >> i'm going to be very clear and i'm not the prime minister and i'm a counter terrorism expert. the islamic statices was crush asked sadly will not be eliminated and will do with long term,s about terror organizations and how they do the recruiting and who are the young people going into them and it's not just their being brainwashed, they're being recruited in, they're not being told come kill people and they're being told come free and
11:56 am
you see some of that in a such a perverted way on u.s. campuses right u, but that's a different challenge. no, we're not going to be able to eliminate them but we will crush them harshly. >> sandra: colonel, thank you for joining us. appreciate your time. >> bill: thank you. >> sandra: secretary of state antony blinken and john keystone lake by refusing to confirm that qatar has agreed to not send any of the $6 billion in unfrozen assets to iran. congressional correspondent live on the hill for us where there's a bipartisan push from lawmakers to freeze that money all together. >> it's clear it looks like a tale of two different administrations here and you've got a public message that's being put out there and then a private one behind closed doors so right now the administration is sticking by its policy that it retains the right to freeze
11:57 am
those funds and hasn't done that just yet but behind closed doors, sandra, we've been told that the deputy treasury secretary apparently told house democrats this morning that the u.s. has come to a "quiet understanding with qatar not to release the funds". he was asked about those and refusing and no policy change. l here's deem dolledman with ziti his take. >> it was a deal to get hostages back and unconstitutional because it infringes on the president's without interference and regardless, we do agree that iran should not receive any money from the u.s. or otherwise.
11:58 am
11:59 am
>> bill, good afternoon. there's a difference with house republicans are talking about the war in israel. we have burgum, pence and scott talking about putting u.s. troops on the ground. vivek ramaswamy says let's pump the brakes. ron desantis before he filed before his candidacy, he said we should not commit u.s. troops to israel. instead, send hostage negotiators. he would punish iran financially, not militarily. >> take that $6 billion back, tighten the screws on them on a their oil sales. they're talking about having american troops involved in a broader gaza offensive. that's not what we would be doing. israel will handle it. people have to be careful with
12:00 pm
their rhetoric right now. >> we also ask governor desantis about former president trump's comments and criticisms about benjamin netanyahu last night. listen. >> you know, hezbollah is very smart. they're all very smart. i'll never forget that bibi netanyahu let us down. that was a terrible thing. >> in is the time to be standing with israel. to be attacking the prime minister and defense minister makes no sense to be saying that hezbollah, talking about how smart they are doesn't make any sense. >> a new fox news poll finds former president trump is ahead 46 points. notably nikki haley, the former ambassador has doubled her support to 10%. desantis has flat lined. bill? >> thanks, bryan. bryan llenas in new hampshire. thanks for that. >> sandra: bill, thanks for helping us out. >> nice to see you here. see you onfi
