israel continued air strikes against gaza. we have reports indicating they struck at least 750 targets. most happened during the two hours we were on the air. as we reported last night, israel issued a warning to civilians in northern gaza and the u.n. giving them 24 hours to evacuate. that window has passed. according to a recent report from fox news world correspondent trey yingst some hamas members are preventing civilians from leaving. hamas wants them to be human shields. they think that will protect them. a sick side of hamas. an evil side of hamas. take a look. >> we are getting new reporting from the gaza strip. a diplomatic source told fox news that hamas is preventing

civilians inside homes and they are continuing air strikes in gaza. this source telling fox news that hamas is preventing civilians from leaving their homes after they announced air strikes. they can tell the civilians to leave and destroying homes belonging to hamas. a source inside gaza confirmed that information. >> sean: with estimates putting the total number of palestinian refugees over one million. where do they did? egypt is facing pressure to open its borders to civilians. they have refused. why won't they open their borders at least to women and children seeking refuge? you have to remember, as we have been showing you this week, children in palestinian are

word from the israeli defense force they entered gaza. commando units have intel about where certain hostages were or corpses. i hate to say that word. they went in and moved in and they had clashing with hamas militants and they came out they said with evidence about some. where the 150 hostages are in gaza strip. some reporters say more but we don't have confirmation. last night we talked about this evacuation being demanded by israel in the northern part of gaza. hamas said no way. you stay there. we need you as civilian human shields. the u.n. said that won't happen. there have been people, thousands that have left but most of them are staying put as

have to put people on the ground. it will be bloody. gaza is 27 miles long and 7 miles wide. it borders israel and the eastern side of gaza. it has an ocean as the west border. and south seven mile long border with egypt. the place to work is with egypt. the folks are running. we have seen the footage not just on fox but all over the place of people getting out of gaza. what you will see i think is some need to open up help. refugees centers. we had american troops in this area since 1973. egypt is the place to turn to help to deal with the refugees flood that will come. they need humanitarian supplies.

special operator, let me get your take on what you believe is in the israeli military's mind with this bombardment tonight come israeli forces entering gaza earlier today. >> sean, excuse me, let me start by saying israel's no junior varsity when it comes to urban operations. there are two major things happening right now appear in the first, the first and critical layer of the israeli operation here is the hostages, two, three, 400 hostages and americans and foreign nationals and delta force, the general staff reconnaissance unit, and right now we are focusing on hostages, which is only reason we are not tearing that place two pizzas. what we are doing in addition to softening gaza and opening pathways for the brigade, which is the marines, the southern commands infantry unit, let me say this, there have been

special operations units inside of gaza for the last week. we have the general staff reconnaissance unit, you have the air force commando unit which is lazing those target of military structures where hamas is storing weapons, gear and other supply. the reason why we have commanders on the ground there is so that we don't destroy civilian buildings. we do our best to follow international law. however, the hostages are number one. intelligence gathering right now is the reason why we are not destroying gaza and turning it into an absolute destruction. the other thing is, the palestinians, let me get this clear and i respect professor dershowitz, he is a brilliant mind but they are not able to leave gaza. egypt, nobody is letting them out of gaza. hamas is keeping them inside. this is the largest hostage rescue siege in the history of

modern warfare. hundreds of israeli, babies, kidnapped, dragged into the tunnels and you have got 170,00a city trapped, hostages. so this is a monster hostage raid. what is also happening, they are preparing for this invasion. i believe it will be accommodation of slowing down by creating a pressure cooker in gaza with missiles, with artillery to tire hamas out. they do not shoot straight. one other point, israel has perfected not only hostage rescue. we didn't invent it but the brits invented it and the americans are fantastic at it. we sell but they did with captain phillips. we saw what they were able to do with the ship. but the israelis perfected the playbook. the general staff or reconnaissance junior who reports to the chief of staff of the idf come i will take it back to 1976, june 3rd, 103 hostages
