8:00 am
sun setting west towards gaza on day 11 of this war. we said it the other day, you don't know where you are in this story and war. is it chapter one of a five storybook. that's the reason president biden is going there and antony blinken is doing diplomacy. i want to squeeze this in now. here in new york in a couple parts of town they're pasting pictures of hostages in central park and on the union square subway station. you have 200 pictures in various parts of new york city. i imagine that will continue. reminds us of days after 9/11 when you saw missing photos of everyone after the towers went down. >> we will see you at 1:00 today. john is live from jerusalem. see you then. >> here is harris. bye for now.
8:01 am
>> harris: we begin with a fox news alert and continuing coverage. president biden heading to a war zone 11 days into the war, will this help or hinder israel. this we do know, our enemies are watching while our own military is ready to deploy thousands of personnel to support israel. and they may need the immediate attention because lebanon is hitting israel over and over from their northern border with rockets. that's more than 180 miles from gaza. on the lebanon part of the border next door is syria. the trump administration fired tomahawk missiles after the syrian dictator used chemical weapons on its own people. i am harris faulkner. you are in "the faulkner focus." a look at what israel shares with lebanon. military analysts are expressing concern.
8:02 am
hezbollah and other iran backed groups could escalate the fight. if they force israel to fight on two or more fronts, that would help hamas terrorists that attack families, concert goers and so many more in gaza 11 days ago. we are just across the border. gaza itself, water and power supplies are next to zero, we are told. the main hospital there is overflowing. secretary of state antony blinken on the humanitarian crisis that's unfo unfolding. >> united states and israel agreed to develop a plan that will enable humanitarian aid from organizations to reach civilians in gaza. and them alone. including the possibility of creating areas to help keep civilians out of harm's way. it is critical that will aid flow into gaza as soon as possible. >> we know hamas is busy kidnapping people, shooting some of them,
8:03 am
taking them hostage, and they're also trapped with hamas monsters in gaza. they range from little babies to the elderly. their families are begging for their safe return. >> begging the world to bring my baby back home. she only went to a party, to a festival party with some friends. now she's in gaza. and she is not the only one. it is a crime against humanity. we should all gather and stop this terror and bring everybody back home. >> team fox coverage. retired navy captain brent sadler, peter doocy at the white house. first, trey yanks in
8:04 am
southern israel. >> harris, good morning. we are following reports of an air strike in the central part of the gaza strip. a source inside gaza confirms to fox news a top commander was killed in an air strike earlier today. this is a significant development, likely the highest ranking hamas official to be killed by the israelis since the war erupted. he was known for an egyptian prison break in 2011. since then, he is one of the leaders of the communication with all of the activities the organization conducts. the israelis continue to strike targets throughout the gaza strip, and we have seen more rocket fire. >> trey, i have to interrupt. the secretary of state right now is meeting with the palestinian authority, leader mahmoud abbas. this is antony blinken.
8:05 am
today, he is meeting with the palestinian leader in jordan. let's watch. all right. we are waiting for them to put that picture back together again. we want to see the two men at the center of all this, and we can't hear them or see them. it is live television. a half world away. you know how this works. you've been with us on this. we appreciate that as we take you through all of what's happening in the middle east. get back to trey yanks. if blinken and abbas get together in camera with microphone, we will immediately go back to them live. trey, are you with me?
8:06 am
hold on one second. if i have to, i'm going right back there. you were giving us thoughts on the meeting. >> yeah. absolutely. secretary of state antony blinken meeting with mahmoud abbas. this is significant. yesterday, abbas was trying to distance the palestinian authority from actions of hamas and the massacre that took place 11 days ago. remember, these are two separate political parties. talking hamas, the group in control of the gaza strip with influence across the west bank, and a political party on the west bank that abbas belongs to, has a military wing themselves. this is important to discuss here. the israelis are concerned that what's happening in the southern part of their country following the attack could spill into the west bank. there were clashes.
8:07 am
i they tried to communicate, saying they want to be separate. they understand damage done to the palestinian people as a whole following the massacre of civilians. any sort of deal cut in the region, abbas is part of the conversation. later in the week king hussein in jordan and other regional officials are meeting to discuss the next steps and what takes place here. but again, right now the middle east is bracing for this to spill into a regional conflict. when it comes to hamas, they have militants across the west bank. they often clashed with fatah and the palestinian authority. you can expect mahmoud abbas to deliver a message to secretary of state antony blinken ahead of biden's visit tomorrow of separation, a separation message to pull the palestinian authority back from the brink of all this, ensure there's a differentiation between hamas and fatah.
8:08 am
>> that's very helpful. it speaks to the issue whether or not in the past the west bank led by fatah, which you told us has its own military, they can engage when they want to. have they been known to do that, or is this typical that you would see a leader associated with the other group in the west bank. fatah say no, we are separate from what hamas is. what have we seen historically? >> let's get into the politics of the west bank for a little bit. the palestinian president mahmoud abbas is not well liked by majority of palestinians in the west bank. many thought him to be a traitor, working too closely on the security apparatus and agreements behind the scenes for security in the west bank and with the americans because he tried to secure funding for a number of palestinian causes and support people need in the west bank. this meeting is
8:09 am
significant. the issue at hand is whether or not what's happening in the south will boil over, spill over into the west bank. we've already seen clashes between israeli security forces and palestinians taking to the streets to show support for hamas. abbas himself does not have control over the entire west bank. in many refugee camps, the palestinian authority is not able to operate. they are controlled often in part by hamas. to give you a quick example, we were embedded a few weeks ago in a city close to israeli territory. the forces we were with had an hours long gunbattle with hamas militants. they were concerned hamas could order attacks in the west bank. what we are seeing with in filtrations in the south could be part of what they're trying to avoid in the west bank. >> trey, that's really important information for you to layout the politics of all this. as our secretary of state
8:10 am
is now meeting with and we're told the meeting is happening, it is not on camera at this point, whatever we learn, we'll bring everybody. the palestinian group that you say, fatah, mahmoud abbas is popular with the people in west bank. would fatah listen to the street so to speak, use its own military to get in to support hamas. that is a complicated situation that you have boiled down for us, and it is really important. it might not just be two fronts, lebanon, maybe syria gets involved, but that's still to the north, and gaza. if you've got the west bank engaged in any sort of way, that would be really tough for israel to fight on multiple fronts. thank you for filling that in. we will watch that situation, see what comes out of the meeting. i find this interesting, i want your take on it. people on the ground in the palestinian authority territory are running out of water already. it has been 11 days. this would be tremendous
8:11 am
resource wise wherever it would happen, but that seems awfully quick. the other, i mean, you saw saudi arabia and iran talking. the other arab nations, muslims are not offering to help. what are you hearing on the ground and how much in need are the people now? >> look, there's more than 2 million people inside the gaza strip, controlled by hamas. the israelis are using the resources that they control as part of their leverage in all of this. when it comes to the aid to the palestinian people, you have the jordanians, egyptians, qataris. many arab world players saying to have any discussions move forward for release of hostages, there would have to be exchange, allow fuel and water and food to the gaza strip to address the needs of the palestinian people. that's part of what the americans are doing on the ground, lobbying on behalf of civilians in gaza. and they're also trying to
8:12 am
work with the egyptians and the qataris that historically have been mediators for deals cut between the israelis and hamas. remember, there's no direct communication between top officials in jerusalem and tel aviv, and the leadership inside gaza. they are using mediators like qatar and egypt to try to push deals back and forth. the big x factor is the hostages. before a ground invasion, if they're able to secure release of israeli or foreign hostages, this will be the number one priority. it is part of the reason you see secretary of state antony blinken on the ground, shuttling messages back and forth. you see hands on diplomacy to try to find a solution here before the military situation unravels into a much larger conflict. >> you mentioned qatar. that's where the money is parked right now that republicans on capitol hill are about to have a news conference about that $6 billion in sanctions iran was expecting to get,
8:13 am
sweetener on top of the five by five prisoner swap a couple weeks ago. that's where it is parked. you know what else is in qatar, you know this, the former leader of hamas. he runs their die as russ offices. also interesting in the mix. i don't know if you would see qatar step up and take those palestinians into their place as refugees. i mean, it is fascinating. one last quick question. we're seeing heavy vehicles. tell me about the spot you're in right now. >> absolutely. right now, we are in southern israel, speaking with soldiers who are preparing to enter the gaza strip when orders are given. likely next hour, harris, we'll have new images. we spoke earlier today and talked with soldiers about morale amid this. they've seen the images and understand what's taking place on their country, more than 1300 slaughtered. they say it is a
8:14 am
motivating factor. when you talk with them, they had to flip a switch. many were in reserve duty. they were home when this took place. they were with their families. now they're on the frontlines, preparing to engage hamas in street to street battles. that's part of what the israeli military commanders are doing now, keeping morale high, making sure soldiers are trained up and prepared for whatever orders come across. likely we expect in the coming days orders will include entry into the gaza strip. >> training is excellent as always. thank you for hanging with me during the breaking news with secretary blinken. we'll check back with you. thank you. 11 days into the conflict as i mentioned at the top of the hour. the pentagon is boosting our presence in the middle east around our ally, israel. it is important to note those troops are not for combat, we are told they're for advising and medical support to the israelis. the defense department put, quote, 2,000
8:15 am
personnel and a range of units on heightened state of readiness, they say ready to deploy. through that prepare ready to deploy order adding no decisions have been made to deploy any forces at this time. and you can see that the deputy press secretary of the department of defense was telling us that there on the screen. retired u.s. navy captain brent sadler, former pentagon official and heritage foundation senior fellow. thank you for being with me. first of all, where do you think we are in terms of watching a ground invasion, with president biden going there, is he forcing a stall or something different. >> thank you. one side admonishing israel to adhere to laws of armed conflict which by all accounts they have and still are. on the other hand, you have statements of being behind, standing for israel, giving them whatever support they need.
8:16 am
it is hard to ascertain what exactly the message or intent of the presidential visit so soon after the conflict. >> the hostages. the young girl, we saw her on social media, saw her mom, begging for her life, begging them to let her daughter go. what is the purpose of putting out videos of hostage victims by serial killers, hamas terrorists, that's what i call them, serial killers. i mean, she was shot. i can only imagine many are injured. what is the purpose in doing that? >> the purpose of any terror organization again is they're after political purpose but trying to do it by making their target population feel completely defenseless. and that's what their intent is, to make americans feel defenseless to this horror.
8:17 am
the reality is that's the furthest from the truth as we're probably going to see if an opportunity avails for u.s. special forces to rescue those. one would hope that's with deep coordination with the israelis who are on the ground now. >> yeah. the number got much bigger and the terrorists are selling something different, like you said, they're selling fear. i don't know if it is misinformation. we don't know. now they say it is between 200 and 250. that's what hamas wants us to believe. brent, i'm going to ask you to stand by a second. republican senators on capitol hill right now, senator marsha blackburn leading them are pushing biden not to take palestinian refugees. let's watch. >> the $6 billion ransom payment he gave iran. we know that iran bank rolls hamas, yet it is perplexing why this administration refuses to issue a formal decision to freeze the 6 billion.
8:18 am
we need to ensure that not another dollar goes to iran, even when the media attention on this issue with israel dissipates. unfortunately we're also learning that president biden's trip to israel tomorrow was intentionally not announced until secretary blinken got assurances from netanyahu on a humanitarian aid package for palestine. the u.s. should not be placing conditions on our support for israel because of demands made by the squad. the administration knew sending u.s. taxpayer dollars to the palestinians could bolster hamas. yet president biden has sent them over 730 million in aid since taking office via the u.n. relief and works agency for palestine
8:19 am
refugees, and yesterday we learned hamas stole aid from that group. i'll be introducing legislation to halt all funding for them until iran is expelled from the u.n. and investigated for violations. americans should also be concerned about our own vulnerabilities resulting from president biden's open border policies. as long as biden allows our border to be open, an attack on our own soil isn't a matter of if, it is a matter of when. protecting our home land and preventing hamas sympathizers from entering our country is paramount. the egregious actions of hamas must not go unpunished. 30 american citizens are dead. women were raped, paraded
8:20 am
through the streets, and my murdered. innocent babies. we must freeze the ransom payment to iran. we must halt taxpayer dollars going to the palestinians and we must secure our own southern border and we must stand with israel. at this time, let's see, senator marshall. >> thank you, marsha, thank you for your leadership on this. our hearts break for our friends and allies in israel and an important part of standing up with israel is standing up to iran. what i find sort of reprehensible about the
8:21 am
biden orchestrated deal with iran to free up $6.6 billion, dollars they can use. we know money is fungible. happened of all times on september 11th. i appreciate senator blackburn, her good work, our colleagues. the administration at least is backing away from that ill advised move and we need to make that, codify that, put that into law. so there will be an attempt to do that, to get unanimous consent to permanently freeze that $6.6 billion that was going to be made available to iran, and i hope that our colleagues on both sides of the aisle will step up and do the right thing and send a clear, unequivocal message not only of support for israel but that we as a nation will stand up to the
8:22 am
world's largest state sponsor of terror. and that is iran. thank you, marsha, for your leadership. >> six weeks ago i was in jerusalem meeting with prime minister netanyahu. probably the last senator that met with him prior to attacks of october 7th from hamas. while i was on that visit, i went up to the border of lebanon to see the hezbollah terror tunnels. many of us saw the hamas terror tunnels in gaza over the years, but the hezbollah tunnels dug over several years, inside the tunnels, spray painted on our way to jerusalem, they've been planning an attack for many, many years, the israelis discovered them and stopped it. when i met with prime minister netanyahu, the most important topic we discussed, first topic discussed was iran.
8:23 am
it was iran's backing of hamas and hezbollah. and you can't make this up. shortly after i returned to see president biden releasing $6 billion to the iranians, it is unconscionable the united states could be used in a war against our most important ally and that's israel. let's not forget in 1979 when iran fell during the revolution the ayatollah said they were the great satan, israel the little satan. that wasn't just discussed in 1979, do a search and see the recent posts. you will see united states called out today by iranians as the great satan and israel as the little satan. we need to stand with israel, stop appeasing
8:24 am
iran. this is a moment of moral clarity that's badly needed by our country. we need this from president biden to understand clearly who the true friends are and who the enemies are, and biden's ransom payment made the iranians, shows you where his true colors are, facilitating, enabling iran to be continue being the leading sponsor of terrorism in the world. >> ronald reagan famously talked about peace through strength. weakness is a provocation. it is incentive for the number one state sponsor of terrorism, iran and other autocratic countries like russia and ukraine, like china in asia to take action when they feel like
8:25 am
america and its allies let its guard down. unfortunately the message of the biden administration has been one of appeasement of iran. looking back over the course of history, iranians have american blood on their hands dating back from at least 1979 during the iranian revolution, and in iraq, provider of form penetrators which would penetrate steel of our humvees and other armored vehicles and kill american soldiers. that's been well documented. more recently as you've heard, they're the number one state sponsor of terrorism, providing $100 million in assistance to hamas and hezbollah. they're proxies. it is crucial having the deterrents having failed because of the biden administration willingness to make a deal with iran
8:26 am
on the nuclear issue and pay any price to release essentially iranian oil around the world, defying sanctions. the trump administration had a policy of maximum pressure on iran, which is what they understand. they also understand weakness, as do our other fri friends, other enemies around the world. president putin is celebrating this attack of hamas against israel. so is president xi. but they're watching to see what our response will be. and it must be clear and unequivocal. we stand with israel and our allies. >> thank you, marsha, thank you for doing this. i got off the phone an hour ago with the israeli
8:27 am
ambassador, they're worried what iran will do next. the idea you can bribe iran to be normal doesn't work. there's not enough money you can send these people to make them behave. they have an agenda to destroy the jewish state and come after us. i believe them when they say death to america. they're not joking. isolate iran, weaken iran, destroy hamas is the objective, right? why now? why so vicious? the israeli ambassador told me and i agree, they believe this attack was directed by iran using hamas to stop the effort to normalize between saudi arabia and israel. the biggest nightmare for the ayatollah is for the arab world to march toward the light, work with israel to have a better life for everybody in the region. that's why they did this. they're trying to destroy the normalization of saudi arabia and israel. they're trying to get
8:28 am
israel in on the ground, these are religious nazis. not only should we cut off all the money, we should put on the table that if there's a second front open against israel by hezbollah that has 100,000 precision guided rockets pointed at israel, if that happens there will not be a two front war, there will be a three front war. i am begging the biden administration to be clear. just don't say don't. spell out what happens if hezbollah is used by iran to try to expand this war and destroy israel. i appreciate the aircraft carriers, strike groups going into the region. we have the capability, but we need to have the will. i believe the people behind me would rise to the occasion. i hope there are people on the other side would rise to the occasion if this war escalates, and if
8:29 am
hezbollah opens up another front in a serious way to destroy and overwhelm the israeli iron dome defenses that we would be going after the great satan. the great satan is not the united states or israel, it's iran. >> thank you, marsha, for doing this. we have a lot of people in florida that were over in israel on holiday. they've got a lot of relatives and friends there. i have one individual i talked to that his sister-in-law's family, three kids, two six-year-olds, three, and the parents were murdered, shot in the head. we've got, i talked to an indi individual, i visited with my wife in 2019. she fortunately was out of town. people that are left, every house on the street, everybody was murdered.
8:30 am
the babies were beheaded. teenage girls were raped and brutalized. that's what we're dealing with. this is not just hamas. this is iran. what are we doing? what is the biden administration thinking, how can you ever do something with somebody that wants to destroy you and destroy your friends. so we have to make sure this money does not go to iran. but i'm in the camp with lindsey. we have to send a message to iran. this has to stop. if it doesn't stop, you will be attacked. i mean, this is the only way this is going to end. and their goal is to destroy israel, destroy every jew and every american. we have americans that died, held hostage. this administration needs to show up, start worrying about people, spend more time worrying about americans and israel than
8:31 am
it does about having some relationship with iran and the palestinians. it is disgusting what the administration is doing. >> well look, the white house has to make a choice. you cannot be pro-israel and pro-iran. you have to make that decision. there's no way that you can support both of these people. i have a hunch that the moment the biden administration unfroze the $6 billion was the sentinel moment when the iranian revolutionary guard told hamas let's go forward with the plan we have going on here. joe biden is the most p pro-iranian we've had. it goes beyond the $6 billion we are talking about. iranian reserves went to $60 billion. they have $60 billion in reserve. how come?
8:32 am
since the moment joe biden got in office he turned his head to sanctions we had. the iranian ghost has grown from 60 ships to 300. taking iranian and russian oil and selling to china, joe biden is allowing iran to make a billion a week to fund terrorism. think about joe biden's relationship with iran for a second. even the time he is campaigning, all but guaranteed iran would be able to develop nuclear weapons. for all practical purposes they have them. enriched uranium 60%. they can put it and quickly have an atomic bomb. think of the consequences of that. iran not only funds terrorists, they need and arm the terrorists, they plan the terrorist attacks like they planned this attack as well.
8:33 am
they coordinate terrorist attacks. joe biden is in bed with iran for all practical purposes. he empowers them. he says he is pro-israel, his actions say he is pro-iran. and you have to choose one or the other. the white house is yet to come out with a clear vision. let me tell you what i think the vision should be. first and foremost, our number one priority should be to get american hostages and american citizens back home safely. next, lindsey, needs to tell iran exactly what the plan is going forward. they need to learn clearly what the consequences are. we need maximum sanctions. they need to know if there's a hint of developing nuclear war heads, we will end that up front and very quickly. we need to disavow a relationship with iran and condemn them. why won't this white house step up and condemn iran yet. have we heard anything from the white house condemning what iran has
8:34 am
done? and finally this. this is the third point we need to make. talk about hamas for a second. in the same sense that the united states cannot tolerate nuclear warheads in cuba, israel cannot live with hamas in the gaza strip. thank you. >> thank you, senator blackburn, for putting this together. and thank you for your leadership. immediately upon the atrocities that we saw, you sprang into action. she led a letter to the president with many of us saying we must freeze, refreeze the $6 billion headed to iran. when we see what's happening in israel, y'all, it is pure evil. you can't look at it as apparent as an american, as a person, not be able to see that. it is not only
8:35 am
disheartening, it is not only gut wrenching, it is without a doubt evil. i believe as americans we must look evil in the eye and take it down. we must stand shoulder to shoulder with israel as they eradicate hamas terrorists. these terrorists don't care. they don't care how many men they kill, how many women they rape, how many children they kidnap. if you haven't watched the video of the children, the toddlers, the babies being held by terrorists, then using them as human shields, go watch it. if you haven't listened to the reporters tell about walking in to the place where these atrocities happened, then giving their recount of what they saw, what it felt like, go watch it. we cannot turn a blind eye
8:36 am
to evil. we must stand firm with israel and i am hopeful that the biden administration will do much more than just refreezing the $6 billion that is headed to iran. we know what to do. we've got to squeeze out any type of financial resources they're getting through that. also working with g7 colleagues to make sure we return to a posture of maximum pressure. bone crushing sanctions. drying up each and every dollar headed to their hands. we know iran is the world's largest state sponsor of terrorists. we know that. we know, they've told us that their goal is to wipe israel off the face of this earth. we need our leaders to stand firm and holding them accountable, knowing that hamas not only wants to wipe out israel but has said they want to wipe out the jewish people.
8:37 am
to all of the people here in america, to those suffering and hurting in israel, we want you to know we stand with you. and we stand ready to do everything possible to not only hold these people accountable but ensure your safety and prosperity moving forward. thank you. >> i thank my colleagues and senator blackburn getting us together on this critical issue. look, the level of bar barrism that we've seen is nothing short of evil. over 1400 children, women, men, brutally murdered. 30 americans killed. dozens missing or presumed hostage. my office is working on dozens of cases of extraction. getting hostages home. hamas terrorists would not be able to execute such a heinous series of attacks
8:38 am
without support from iran. we know that. that's why president biden's $6 billion give away to the regime was absolutely so dangerous. that gave rise to the very issue we've been dealing with the last ten days. it was a ransom payment to the world's number one state sponsor of terror. sadly, the irony is that give back was announced on september 11th. that showed more biden weakness when what we need around the world is more american strength. we should be standing shoulder to shoulder with the state of israel and we should give them everything that they need to destroy hamas. >> we stand with israel and we must end the appeasement strategy by the biden administration towards iran. i'm glad the president finally saw common sense in temporarily freezing
8:39 am
the $6 billion. let's remember, this was a deal cut in secret by the biden administration and "the wall street journal" reports are accurate, iran was double dealing with us talking to hamas, planning this attack at the same time negotiating to get the $6 billion from us. that just shows you the level of contempt that iran has for the biden administration. it is naive and stupid to think that if we give them enough money, that iran will play nice. it is not going to happen. the $6 billion is part of an overall package of $50 billion in sanction relief that the administration, the biden administration has given back to iran. this must end. these brutal attacks on our closest ally in the middle east demonstrate this must end. we must stop this
8:40 am
foolishness thinking we can bring iran around. we must make sure that this stops. remember, what the biden administration said is look, the $6 billion, this is for humanitarian aid, for food. how dumb do they think we are, right? if you have $60 you spend on groceries, i give you $60, say spend it on groceries, you can spend that on anything you want. money can be spent anywhere. in fact, the iranians said they'll spend it any way they want. they're the largest sponsor of state terrorism -- largest state sponsor of terrorism. whether or not they plan the attack with hamas or not, they have been supporting hamas and they are responsible for this attack. i join my colleagues in saying that this must end. we must stop supporting iran, we must send a
8:41 am
strong message we stand with israel. i want to thank senator blackburn for her efforts to be able to make this happen. i am also on board with some of the other bills, like by senator scott, senator cotton to stop this as well. but let me tell you, temporarily freezing $6 billion when we have seen the atrocities in israel does not cut it. all of this money needs to be stopped and stopped permanently. that's why i appreciate the effort of senator blackburn and my colleagues to make sure that happens. we must end this appeasement strategy towards iran. we must stand with israel. thank you. >> all right. we are going to pull away from this because there have been 10 or 11 people who have spoken now. we want to actually talk with senator mike mccaul of texas. congressman mike mccaul. he joins me live now.
8:42 am
congressman, what we just heard was a litany of reasons why we have gotten to this spot so quickly. what are your top line thoughts on it? >> my top line thoughts are, number one, why are we giving $6 billion to iran. we know they funded hamas, gave them weapons, prepared for this massive invasion in israel. southern israel, across the border from gaza. >> you were there. >> all the people were mass keacre massacred. the daycare center, seeing the children. now seeing pictures of children shot, beheaded and burned. babies being burned. this is like isis. it really is like isis. i understand israel's sentiment. they want to take out hamas in a big way, and that's going to happen the next couple days.
8:43 am
they've already taken out their top leadership through military strikes, command and control. i think we have to look at these, some of these civilians in southern gaza and how we can protect them from hamas. but i think the big question here quite honestly is hezbollah. now, the nightmare scenario has always been a two front war, you have hezbollah get engaged. 100,000 rockets with precision guided weapons that could dominate and overpower the iron dome. that's a scenario we don't want to see. that's why we have a presence in the eastern mediterranean, with war ships. we also have 2,000 marines combat ready to go in case as a show of deterrence, to show to hezbollah and the world and to iran do not escalate. >> congressman, i want to point out, you mentioned
8:44 am
civilians in gaza now. we were working with israel and still are, i would imagine. egypt and jordan and qatar could help these people, could help the palestinians on the ground there. each has taken people before, could open the corridor to the border, open up that border and let some of the people in, but i pointed out to the audience a reminder that that's $6 billion in sanctions is parked now in qatar. that's an area where secretary blinken just went. what role is qatar playing in this. that's a country we don't talk much about, that's where that money is now. >> that's right. i talked to the ambassador from qatar yesterday. i am putting secondary sanctions on this money in your bank, you cannot put it into iran. meanwhile, they're working with jordanians, with egyptians and the saudis. saudis are the ones that are going to finance i guess the humanitarian

assistance to the civilians. what's going to happen i think, the president is going to be on wednesday be in israel. he will announce the opening of the rafa crossing on the southern part of gaza and egypt, only for american citizens and foreign nationals and wounded. also will open up humanitarian aid. we want assurance hamas won't exploit that. the world food program, i talked to the ngos, we want to be sure food and aid goes in, but we do not, we want assurances from that part of the world that it is not going to be exploited for military purposes. >> congressman, i want to remind everybody that you were at the white house just a few days ago, we showed the outside of the white house, couldn't see inside whereby you met

with president biden. i know you talked with president biden about them. it is fabulous to get those people out and into egypt, but what happens to the more than 2 million left behind, 1.1 million trying to make their way out of the north to safety now for palestinians. the reason i ask that is the longer they stay there, which is a terrific stall method and strategy for hamas, not only will they kill their own people to keep them there, it keeps israel from what it wants to do. our government i would imagine, tell me if i'm wrong, to put pressure on israel, you have to wait until the civilians are out of the way. i don't know that we can do that. other countries have to make this happen now. >> right. and i think you're right. the white house has stalled this to make sure the civilians can go to the south. i know that there's three phases to the plan. knocking out command and control, successful, six top hamas officials

killed. two, the land invasion, house to house, like fallujah in 2004, special operators are training them. three, a blockade in southern gaza to protect the civilians from hamas. you know, their own people are threatened by hamas. protecting hamas, protecting innocent palestinians from hamas. egypt doesn't want a lot of the palestinians, i hate to say that. they will take some of them. talking about 1.5 million. >> why don't they want them, is it the number or something else? >> no, it is a history. it is a history of that country. remember, going back in time they kicked the palestinians out of egypt into the gaza, the palestinians then hamas in the jails became the muslim brotherhood which became al qaeda.
8:48 am
that's the history why they don't want palestinians there. i get that. egypt is working with us on this humanitarian project. and if we can put them in a safe place, get the humanitarian assistance there, fine. there's no plan to bring them into the united states, by the way. i just don't foresee that happening. >> the concern is anybody can come through that border, of course it would be a monster ability to be able to make that trek here. but there are people coming from senegal and west africa. anything is possible. that's some of the conversation if they should find their way here, would we fly them here. what you're saying, right now there's no plan for that. congressman mccaul, always great to have you. thank you for sticking with me through the breaking news. >> thanks, harris. >> let's go. everyone is mentioning this now. the 100,000 rocket

potential on the border coming from lebanon, the hezbollah group there, terrorists up there who would love nothing more than to engage with brothers and sisters in hamas. greg palkot is live on the lebanon border. greg, what's happening now? >> hi, harris. we have been on the ground a couple days. we have seen increasing number of attacks by the iranian backed hezbollah militants. possible second front in the works, maybe just beginning. going to step aside. let my cameraman show you the lay of the land. lights are israeli village, one of 28 villages the israeli military said get out. they've's been evacuated because they're in the line of fire of hezbollah. that dark mountain behind them, that's israel. lights on the top of the mountain, that's israel. but literally 200 yards on the other side of the mountain behind the lights
8:50 am
is lebanon and we see one hezbollah militant outpost there. that's how close everything is, harris. earlier today, the town of matulah that we showed yesterday was hit by mortar fire. three israelis were injured, including two soldiers, one first responder. in response, heard this very loud, between 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning, israeli artillery hitting hezbollah infrastructure targets inside lebanon, four in lebanon reportedly killed, this as we have been watching all over the region a buildup of israeli military forces. the fear is, harris, that as hezbollah builds up its strikes here, it will draw attention, draw resources from the israeli military from frankly what's the main game in town, that is the land incursion into gaza strip to go after
8:51 am
hamas militants. remember, hamas and hezbollah backed by the same country you've been talking about, iran. finally, second aircraft carrier group from the u.s. navy moving into the eastern mediterranean, off the coast, joining one already there, also the u.s. naval, marine amphibious ship, a show of force. the pentagon and white house make no bones about it, this is to make sure that whatever happens in the region as localized as possible. for iran, something different. a quick quote. this is scary stuff. back to you. >> greg palkot, thank you for the perspective on what could be a second front, of course, with the president on the ground tomorrow, the hopes are that he can support israel and hope, i don't know how, talk to keep that

from happening. good to see you. vivek ramaswamy joins us now. you have in process information on a flight that's taken place. tell us more what you're planning, how you're getting americans out? >> absolutely, harris. i believe putting my money where our mouth is. our family's foundation proud to support efforts organized by congressman cory mills to get americans safely out of israel. we were proud to support chartering a flight with over 200 seats on it that left tel aviv by way of cypress, then bringing americans safe passage home on that journey. we were proud to partner with cory mills and his team, i believe in standing as an american for fellow americans to get them out of harm's way. we were proud in our version living the american dream to do our part to help fellow americans. that flight took off monday morning from tel aviv.
8:53 am
i am proud to have supported the efforts. >> i have details, i know you don't have the manifest. there were at least 200 seats on the flight. quite a few people. how did you make this happen? part of the challenge on the ground with people that i talked with is that they're asked to drive from jerusalem or tel aviv to haifa to go to cypress and don't know where they'll go after that. look, it is fantastic just to get out. i think you also in this flight if i am understanding correctly, they're flying to cypress, but the government has been woefully slow. how did you act so quickly, what was motivation to do that? >> the motivation was seeing the slowness of the biden administration and seeing reports that even when the government was helping people get out, they had to pay for the flights. i respect the efforts of others, in my case we are using our own money through our family foundation to do it. i am a big believer, harris, that yes, there are many changes we need to drive through politics. that's why i am running
8:54 am
for u.s. president. i don't want to wait 'til then without having positive impact today. i want to set an example for everybody. just because you're not in political office doesn't mean you can't drive positive change. you see the government falling short, throws of us that can do it philanthropically, blessed with the american dream, it is our responsibility to do it. others can use their voice and volunteer efforts to do it. >> governor ron desantis was also using his position as governor to find flights for americans out of there as well. you've got politicians doing it. are you advocating for the private sector to step in even now? what have you learned from this position? is our government able to fix this faster, get more americans home? >> our government should be able to fix this faster, harris. fact of the matter, when the government falls short, it is up to people
8:55 am
philanthropically to step up who believe in importance of bringing the americans home to stand up and do it. for me, the american first agenda means no american left behind, that includes every american. i think that is the top u.s. responsibility here. i want the government also to have a clear plan of action how we recover the american hostages in a way that doesn't escalate to broader war in the middle east. i believe that's achievable, harris. the biden administration needs to step up and have a clear plan of action to do it. meantime, we are making a difference privately. >> i want to know how you think that's achievable. everybody is strategizing to keep hostages from many countries alive. we will get into foreign policy. you said a lot of things in public people want to know more about from you, we'll get into that soon on a different broadcast. good to see you. thank you for joining us. we had a lot of breaking news this hour. "outnumbered" is after the break. american infrastructure,
