and military preparation. and i think when the time is correct, their intel is correct, and their mission is well defined in relation to the hostages, they will go in. >> jesse: the flooding of the tunnels does that sound appropriate, or would you go in with men, or would you maybe knock them out with some non-lethal gas? >> well, first of all, jesse, we need to make sure that they're not hiding hostages in those tunnels. if we were to use the tactics, which were well employed by egypt, as you talked about in the past, if we were to use those and not have good intelligence about what is in those tunnels, it could be a problem for us, couldn't it? so i think that what we need to be patient for is israel to under and characterize the battlefield and then they will

president joe biden is on his way. his timing could not be worse. just as he walked up the stairs onto air force one, western embassies in lebanon were swarmed and a hospital in gaza was annihilated. the leader of the palestine authority has cancelled his plans to meet with joe biden and now the king of jordan, an ally, has also just announced he will be snubbing the american president. it's been a diplomatic disaster from the biden administration from the very beginning. the crowned prince of saudi arabia made blinken, the secretary of state, wait for eight hours before meeting with him, and the administration's refugee safe passageway plan to egypt blew up in less than 24 hours. primetime was shocked that president biden decided to fly into an israeli war zone as netanyahu prepares for an historic ground campaign against hamas and gaza. we don't see how it's possible that netanyahu can oversee the launch of ground operations and

meet with the president at the same time. therefore, president biden's trip will only delay israel's ability to strike hamas quickly. delaying the israeli war plan only helps hamas and gives the arab world time to align and wreak havoc. is he trying to talk netanyahu out of a large scale counter attack? cnn is reporting biden will tell netanyahu to be cautious and aware of collateral dang. biden is attaching himself to this conflict and however this shakes out he'll have serious political ownership of it. and knowing how hamas's rockets are inaccurate we pray nothing happens to the president, for his sake, and for the sake of the country. now, what the president should be doing is giving israel his full support from u.s. soil. but we fear biden's narcissism is propelling him to take shuttled diplomacy, like a

secretary of state, who thrives on the so-called peace process. this is a dangerous game. we hope biden isn't being influenced, like he has been throughout his presidency, by the far left. >> it is in the interests of every single actor in this region to have a cooling of tensions here. i don't believe that any singular actor wants to see an escalation in violence, an escalation in the volatile, volatility of the situation. what's important to note about a cease fire is that it's not one-sided. israel does have a right to self-defense. i think what we need to take a look at in this situation is if collective punishment qualifies as defense. >> jesse: it's not in the interest of israel to cool tensions. israel's spay completely destroying hamas. the only people who want a ceasefire right now, hamas and aoc. and this is coming from the same woman who came out against trump's assassination of

personally, i believe that biden will be more effective from afar. there is nothing he can accomplish overseas besides distracting what's a very timely situation and draw a lot of attention on himself in doing so. but i think he knows that. listen, nobody has time for shenanigans at this point. the world has perfectly learned how to acclimate using zoom, and i'm sure that he can be just as effective in doing so. >> jesse: so he says he wants to stare in netanyahu's eyes and get a good sense of the israeli war plan? are you buying that? are you saying that he's going to muck up the works? >> the only way i justify this visit is if he was, in fact, mediating a meeting between a boss and netanyahu but we received news he's not doing that. so what exactly is your purpose in going if you're not going to try to find peace. is he going to give war advice? i don't think so. i think it's a big waste of time and a very convenient distraction. >> jesse: do you think these countries respect the president? you have two leaders now

hamas claims israel was behind it but the idf says it was the terrorists' own munitions and they showed proof. john roberts is in israel on the ground with the latest. john. >> reporter: jesse, good to see you. as the president makes his way over to jerusalem aboard air force one john kirby spoke to the press back in the cabin in the rear of the pain in which he said the u.s. really does want to get to the bottom of what happened earlier this evening in that hospital in gaza. and that president biden is going to have some tough questions for benjamin netanyahu when he meets with him later on today. now, the idf, the israeli defense forces are countering the narrative put out by hamas that this was an israeli air strike that hit this hospital. the idf saying that this has proof that this was an islamic jihad rocket that malfunctioned mid flight. they put out some footage earlier that was taken from a third-party source which appears to show a rocket going up over

gaza. the motor malfunctioning, blowing up, and then the pieces of the rocket come down to the ground. it's impossible to know exactly where it landed but the idf says it was on that hospital. the idf also saying, jesse, that they have got drone footage of what happened because they have drones flying 24/7 over gaza, which they will release soon, though we haven't seen that yet. of course, the hospital explosion complicating president biden's visit on the ground here, he was planning to go to amman jordan after visiting with netanyahu to wheat king abdullah of egypt and mack mute fattah of the palestinian organization, that meeting has been cancelled. we thought initially it was because everybody was so angry at israel they didn't want to have this meeting but according to mid eastern officials, it has been cancelled because of three days of mourning. john kirby also sharing that. now, at the same time as the president is here on the ground,

hezbollah has declared there will be a day of unprecedented anger. as to what that means along the northern border of israel jesse we will find out later on today. of course there have been skirmishes that hezbollah has conducted with idf forces, a few people killed along the border and israel the other day ordered the evacuation of a two kill meter perimeter up at the top of the peninsula to the west to the mid trainian sea. that was not only because of tank missiles that were being fired into the area and mortar fire but also the fear that there could be some infiltrations by hezbollah fighters trying to potentially take israelis hostage in the same way that hamas did down in gaza. in addition to the meeting with netanyahu today in israel, jesse, the president says that he is also going to meet with the families of americans who were killed here in israel as well as those who are being held hostage. so all of this to unfold in the

♪ >> jesse: fox news alert, a mob of protesters surrounded western embassies in lebanon. security forces are deploying tear gas to fight off the growing group of islamists. chief washington correspondent mike emanuel joins us now. >> reporter: jesse good evening seeing some powerful images that indicate a tense and potentially explosive situation in beirut tonight as protesters clash with lebanese security forces near the french embassy and the u [facility in downtown beirut protesting in solidarity with the people of gaza. emotions running high after a strike on a hospital earlier in did day killed hundreds of people. the israeli government blames a rocket misfired by a palestinian militant group islamic jihad. they say they have drone footage

to back it up. some in gaza blame it on an israeli air strike. president biden has not attributed blame. hezbollah calling for a day of rage to condemn the gaza hospital blast and we've seen some images and reporting suggesting people have gone to the streets outside the diplomatic facilities to vent their anger. american embassies have been targets in the past. 40 years ago the u.s. embassy in beirut was bombed killing 63 people including 17 americans. then many americans will remember the attack on the american consulate in benghazi libya in 20 12 where four americans were killed. and we've seen people take to the streets in istanbul turkey pro palestinian mars in recent days, turkish authorities tightened up security in front of diplomatic facilities as tensions appear to rise across the middle east region. jesse. >> jesse: thanks, mike. >> it's been 11 days since hamas launched their terror attack and

slaughtered nearly 1500 innocent lives in israel. in addition to those killed by hamas, the terror group has also taken nearly 200 hostages into gaza. heart broken families are left in limbo not knowing how their children, parents, grandparents, hubs, wives and grandchildren are fairing. hamas released the first video of one of the hostages, mia shem a 21 year old french israeli citizen who was shot in the arm and taken by the group on saturday. we aren't showing you the video out of respect for the family. mike tobin saturday down with her mother to see her reaction. watch. >> did you know she was alive after the attack? >> no. i didn't know she's dead or alive. i knew nothing until yesterday that i saw this video and the first reaction was screaming and then shouting. the other reaction was the

happiest moment in my life, and the third reaction, after everybody went home and i sat around and watched the video, i couldn't stop crying because i see my baby in pain. >> jesse: the clock is ticking to get these people out of gaza and back home where they belong. family members feel sidelined and powerless. they don't know who to turn to and only want their loved ones returned to them. curey roberts is one of those people holding out hope. dorie was born in israel and now lives here in the united states. he has five family members who are missing and believed to be deep inside gaza taken by that mass. he joins me now. so do you have a strategy to make contact at all or is it just everything has gone dark? >> well, thank you so much jesse for having me tonight first of all. really means a lot to me and my

family. we do not [disrupted audio] out here trying to spread the news, spread the word showing pictures, you've seen posters everywhere around the world with the missing families. i have six family members right now missing. another one is a half cousin of mine who was part of the emergency response team who is still missing. five of them are confirmed within the hostages as we know now. we're going out to any government, any influence people. three of my family members with german passports so they are dual nationally and we are in contact with the german government as well. we're doing everything we can, jesse. it's not an easy battle. it's a day to day, hour to hour, seeing the news around the world and here in the us is really upsetting, seeing all the pro hamas protests is really making our lives even more harder than it is. we try to do day by day chores,

the family members, and being hubs, wives, partners and do whatever we can on top of this amazing task of trying to bring them back home. it has been a very, very challenging days and we are still not to know what's going on. there is no news. >> jesse: sure. dori, when news organizations like fox and others make an editorial decision to not show hostage videos, do you agree with that decision or do you think that that's important to show? >> i think it is important to show to the world as part of our message. we want everybody to see what happened here last saturday morning. i think it's really important to educate anybody here in the u.s., schools, high schools and everybody in the world who goes out and doesn't understand how

complex and where we are right now. a lot of people out there saying things that are just not true. >> jesse: so far we've seen a lot of lies and propaganda from hamas about terror strikes, about wa they actually did in israel. do you trust these people at all to be able to even negotiate a reece lease? >> well, i know there's a lot of players right now in the back scenes and everything and i know there's multiple government -- multiple agencies, a lot of they will are trying to reach the families. it's a bit chaotic but i do not trust what i see on social media. i'm trying to stay away from social media as much as i can given the circumstances. it is very upsetting to us that we really trying to just get our family back to us unharmed, peaceful. the kids, the babies, the women. we want them back in israel unharmed immediately.
