of the claims to the contrary. so we might hear from the to the prime minister and president, the two leaders shortly. they have an opportunity to talk to the cameras if they want to. but again, everything is very fluid. we'll see what happens. yeah, this is this is a fluid situation here. we take a look at these live pictures of bibi netanyahu preparing to welcome president biden to tel aviv at this hour. you're watching fox news live. continuous coverage of the president's visit to the middle east. we will continue our coverage throughout the morning here on fox news and throughout the day on behalf of jackie. hi, rick. i'm kevin corke here in as we take a quick time out, we want to take a break
1:01 am
>> carley: president biden just landing in israel where he will meet with prime minister netanyahu as violence and unrest rock the region. you are watching "fox and friends," i'm carley shimkus. >> todd: i'm todd piro. an explosion kills hundreds at a gaza hospital. israeli forces say they have proof it was a botched launch. >> carley: state department telling americans not to professional to lebanon and offering to get americans out of the country. hundreds of protesters gathering outside, sparking fires. the president planned this trip during a tense time, war had
1:02 am
broken out in israel. he took off at 6 p.m. and just landed. >> todd: there is the president now walking down the steps of air force one. netanyahu on the tarmac ready to meet the president. the handshake taking place right there. this is extremely historic meeting, because right now israel is in war. there are concerns this could become part of a larger global conflict. think back to the history books you read when you were a child in school, it is these meetings showcased in the books, especially if this does become a larger global battle. >> carley: without question. it was not a handshake, it was a hug. they have known each other dating back to president reagan
1:03 am
and there he is greeting herzog. john kirby says first thing he will meet with prime minister netanyahu in a small restricted bilateral meeting and have a chance to broaden that out and meet with the israeli war cabinet. after that, he will meet with israeli first responders all those bravely putting themselves in harm's way. thank them for bravery and work they are doing and then he will meet with the families of those who have died and will meet with families of those who believe their loved ones have been taken hostage and have a chance to make public remarks. expect to hear from the president later today. he will meet with president herzog for a short conversation and john kirby made it clear one thing the president wants to do, one reason he's in israel, to
1:04 am
get a sense from the israelis about the situation on the ground. the day after their plans and intention for what will happen in the gaza strip once this war ends. >> todd: live in tel aviv, let's focus on that hug for a moment. typically when world leaders meet, it is a cold and emotionless hand shake. chris valletta our great ally, we are their greatest ally in this world. it underscores nature of the relationship and importance of the relationship and unwaivering support to the israeli people tlchl have been concerns during this meeting president biden could ask for restraint from israel going forward. we have to see what comes out of that meeting. nevertheless, the hug a sign the
1:05 am
two countries are united following what can be described as israel's 9/11, killing of so many hundreds and thousands of people that has united the nation and united much of our nation, much of our nation in response in support of israel. >> carley: that is right. keep in mind, it wasn't just supposed to be israel the president was going to. there was a second part of the trip going to jordan. that was cancelled because of this hospital bombing, this rocket fire where apparently 500 people, some children, died yesterday. that situation made everything on the ground more tense. israel is blaming islamic jihad in errant missile strike and hamas is blaming israel. as the president was essentially boarding air force one, that portion of the trip was cancelled ask the white house
1:06 am
statement, after talking with king abdulllah, president biden will postpone travel to jordan and planned meeting with the two leaders the president upon egypt. one reason the president wanted to meet with all these people is to figure out way to get u.s. aid to the gaza strip and much needed aid for these palestinian people, the innocent palestinian people. it is interesting this leg of the trip was cancelled in light of the fact the point was to help palestinians. >> todd: many commentators say the president should not have made this trip in light of the cancellation of the meeting in jordan because that was the whole reason scomb it makes the president appear, that the president of the united states and united states was cancelled on. that is open for sdug in the
1:07 am
days, weeks and months ahead. live on the ground to trey yingst in southern israel with the latest there. trey, we'll be speaking with you while we look live at the tarmac, air force one in tel aviv. what is latest where you are? >> trey: you see live images there, president biden arriving at the airport and greeted by prime minister netanyahu and israeli president herzog. they are looking to send a clear message this is about unity between the united states and israel. this is not a traditional visit by president biden coming to the jewish state, but rather preparing for the region slipping into a much larger conflict. overnight at the hospital in gaza city, there was an
1:08 am
explosion and reportses from inside gaza indicate hundreds were killed. hamas blamed israel for the strike. israel coming out with evidence that this was by jihad. they have the ability to fire rockets and already the arab world coming to terms with what has taken place and blaming israel for what took place despite the evidence that the military released. this complicated the biden visit. president biden was expected to meet with jordanian president abbas too cool tension in the west bank and concern these organizations and groups could get involved in rest and fighting that we're seeing in southern part of israel. it is not just here tissuing is spread outside the u.s. embassy. the israeli consulate in
1:09 am
istanbul in iman, jordan, unrest following the imaging coming out from gaza city. president biden has to deal with the ongoing war and iran could get into the fight and how not to splinter the arab world after seeing images from inside gaza. it is important that biden be delicate in the conversations and he understands that. the meeting with abbas has been cancelled, other main players blame the israelis for this strike despite the evidence and biden will have to walk a tight rope to use diplomacy to avoid things from escalating to more difficult conflict. >> todd: it has been less than 24 hours since that hospital strike. will the palestinians ever believe the truth when it ultimately comes out to them?
1:10 am
they probably have not received it at that point in time that all evidence points not a rogue rocket from a terrorist group. will that information ever get to them? will they ever fully understand that israel is not to blame for this? >> trey: we are in the middle of the fog of war right now and it is critical we look at all information and knowa lies it and we are patient with what we are reporting. our focus is to gather as much as possible. as we speak, i'm getting text messages in talking to people inside gaza. one man went to the site this morning following that hospital explosion and said the death toll is likely to rise. what is reported, he said it could be even higher temperature is critical to pose information to palestinians inside gaza including hamas officials that say this was massacre by the israelis. i did that and they have not
1:11 am
responded with any information, they are saying this was genocide by israel. they are unwilling to look at the information. it is a challenging thing to report out here, you can present information inside gaza and they simply will not acknowledge it. we will continue to do that. we will continue to look at the evidence we have on the ground. indication right now according to israeli military from drone video and surveillance video and intercepted phone call this was misfire of a rocket by jihad inside gaza. >> carley: it is a horrible situation, if the situation in israel was smoldering yesterday, it is on fire today and the president is walking into all of this. trey, royal advisor for crown prince solaman says any chance is dead because of this terror
1:12 am
attack. it looks like that could be what happens here. >> trey: yeah, it is hard to wrap your mind around two weeks ago we were on air reporting about the possibility of peace in the middle east. to give you a sense of two wednesdays ago, i was talking with sources in the united states preparing for a trip here to have a summit to discuss the possibility of a two-state solution of finding funding for palestinians, of building a more stable region and in just two weeks, everything has collapsed. the middle east is boiling. there are serious conversations about this expanding to a regional conflict. there is evacuation order for lebanon, level four warning telling all american citizens to leave the country immediately. israelis have tried to help get american citizens out of the
1:13 am
country, even evacuating u.s. citizens by sea from the port of haiffa to cypress in the mediterranean. this has collapsed and idea of peace in the region is off the table and we're discussing war and what war will look like thachl is part of the reason president biden is here in person. there is a show of support by the americans by president biden. there are conversations about up to 100 billion in security funding including funding for israel in all of this. all of the chess pieces point to a larger conflict. they are running the evacuation, moving airline out of the region and fear they could lose aircraft. whether ukraine or afghanistan, all pointed in direction toward conflict and war. we hope as humans this does not happen. president biden is here not just to show support, but to work the
1:14 am
war room and determine if hezbollah gets involved in the fight and iran gets involved in the war what the americans will do and how they will respond. >> carley: so many unanswered questions, will hezbollah get involved, syria and iran and what does that mean for the united states and our response. the president, his plate has never been heavier. heavier is the head who wears crown, they say. one detailed question to help people following this story at home. israel is saying this hospital attack was called by errant rocket from jihad. what is difference in hamas and islamic jihad, if there is a difference there? >> trey: hamas is the group that controls the gaza strip, they have both a military and political wing. leader of the military wing is a man who is the number one target for israel right now. leader of the political wing is
1:15 am
a man who has based in qatar now and meeting with iranian foreign minister and having conversations about what a regional war would look like. islamic jihadist inside gaza, they are supportive of hamas in many cases especially when it comeless to military action, they have an arsenal of their own. they understand they are holding hostages inside gaza. they have been clear they receive funding and support from the iranian regime and considered more of a militant organization and terror organization than hamas due to the fact they have less political scope in the west bank and in gaza than hamas does. the leaders of the gaza strip. >> todd: levels of terrorism they could be bigger terrorists than hamas, unreal. we will check back throughout the show.
1:16 am
bring in former assistant secretary of state for george bush. we are looking at images from moments ago, president biden meeting benjamin netanyahu and entire israeli delegation temperature cannot be offerstated two great allies are meeting in a time of war, sign to the world that we are united. should joe biden have made this trip following the cancellation of the jordan stop? the number one message he should be delivering beyond unity is this should not escalate and escalation is the great fear. you have innocent in the region who do not want war to escalate.
1:17 am
islamic jihad has launched. hamas has been mentioned and fatah has launched rockets on israel and hezbollah is in the wing. if you step back, what you are watching is opening of a second major proxy war, this one against iran, which funded all three groups and frankly hezbollah. and the second of course is what we've got it going in ukraine. we're in a really a two-front war and although i cannot imagine past leaders of the region including president abdullah cancelling on any other president. the president has to do what the president has to do. when he gets out and gives a hug to netanyahu, you are sayings, i'm here, this conflict is one
1:18 am
i'm focused upon. i will tell you, i think a lot of this, i hate to do monday morning quarterbacking, like an incursion in ukraine, this was an avoidable conflict. terrorist groups are always out there. when you green light iran like they could contribute to peace, you misconceive the environment. they gave up on the abraham accord started by president trump and if those accords had gone forward, you might have seen a sut down and discussion of peace with the palestinians. we were in a better place than we are now 10 or 15 years ago, i'm afraid we're on cusp of escalation. any message to be delivered by the president should be i'm calling on this region not to
1:19 am
escalate this. terrorism is wrong, peace is worth fighting for and innocent lives can be saved. >> carley: that is the frightening part what could come, not just israel and surrounding area. the drone attack attempting to target the air base in iraq which host american troops and these images out of lebanon, these mass protests and u.s. embassy compound in beirut, a large fire there. also there were major protest surrounding the french embassy. this is lebanon, the country to the north of israel. there is really a lot of concern that this could go from a one-front war to a two-front war and with this hospital bombing that took place, tensions are higher. what does that mean for the future of this conflict? >> i think again, just to go
1:20 am
back to the heart of the matter, peace between the palestinians, the innocent palestinians in gaza and the israeli government has been put on hold for indefinite period, probably for years. the real message to tell iran, don't think about it. if iran gets into this and we get two battle in that region, iran need to take a step back. iran has big components in iraq and syria and all over the region and the world. i think biden's message, part of the don't escalate message is direct statement to iran to back off, sit down and don't continue to push terrorism in the region. his credibility isn't much, he opened the door to $6 billion being sent to iran and buying hostages, when you green light terrorism, it is hard to turn
1:21 am
off thchl. this is a trip rushing to close the gate after the horses are gone. there are horses still in there, that is the deescalation message. sit down and do not escalate this. to other arab leaders saying we want peace, we do not want conflict, we stand with israel and stand with israel on foundation that ultimately some poen the nations can get together and resume peace. that right now is in the future, at this moment, too many people are dying in israel and unfortunately in gaza and my greatest fear is that innocents all over the region will die at time if we can just saner heads can prevail, maybe we can prevent that from happening. >> todd: you said diplomacy is hard and that is obvious in the current situation, but in light of the fact the u.s. embassy
1:22 am
fire is burning as former assistant secretary of state should we evacuate all embassy personnel, not just in lebanon, but throughout the region? >> we have to take lessons from the past. we know what happened at the egyptian embassy and at benghazi. if there are security requests they need to be honored. i don't think there is postponing reality of security threat. other hand, the united states and i would not -- i was naval intelligence officer and assistant secretary of state, i tip my hat to foreign service personnel all over the world because they are in harm's way very often as those in direct combat in a war zone. the region is becoming more of a war zone, we have to stand our ground temperature is a balancing acts, embassy by
1:23 am
embassy, consulate by consulate decision. you have meetings with leaders to help calm the situation with you. unified front pushing toward deescalation would be useful in this moment and recognizing the difference in terrorist groups and those underwritten by iran and innocents. there are innocent palestinians, too. greatest sadness of war, whether in world war ii and this know wo, civilians often pay the ultimate price. >> carley: broaden to other parts of the world, senior hamas leader says russia is sympathetic to hamas. that comment is important, putin is in china hoping to strengthen the relationship with xi jinping.
1:24 am
putin supports this iranian-backed invasion and goes to china. these bad actors are in lock step with each other, raising the stakes here. >> it does. although you make an important point, bad actors are bad actors who are in working against interest of western values. putin and xi issued statements throwing up their idea of autocratic order, similar to iran. one hand, it is horrifying, when there is opening war zone and distraction others take action in that void or vacuum and i could see china taking action and maybe not the action we expect. they might take action against another ally, japanese island or
1:25 am
test western will by taking some other protectorate or ally. i think we have to be aware and weakness and appeasement invite bad actors to the table and strength or peace through strength is deterrence. i am a fan of ronald reagan who believed peace through strength is strategic approach to keeping the world safe. unfortunately we're in an environment where we have a lot of fire afoot and we need to put the fire out and recognizing bad actors are working together against the interest of the west, against liberty and he freedom all the things we as americans stand for. americans should unify around israel and around the innocents that have died and around the idea we as america are a beacon. we represent and that hug
1:26 am
represents the idea we want a safe, stable, peaceful liberty-centered world and that is world order that sits opposite of the order being push by iran, china and russia. >> todd: the 1930s are happening right before our eyes, it is incumbent on our world leaders to make sure the 1940s don't follow suit. robert charles, thank you. with that, bring in lieutenant col colonel lerner. what about the rocket strike on that hospital? >> thanks, todd. great to be here, i would say our intelligence and investigation and high level investigation revealed that the idf did not conduct any strikes. we base that fact on three principles. there was no -- by the idf at
1:27 am
that time. no airstrikes or naval strikes. second, we revealed our radar and trajectory of the rockets being launched out of gaza, crossed just over the hospital and third we intercepted a call taking place between two hamas terrorists that actually name the hospital and said it was hit by palestinian-islamic jihad rocket. we are confident in our intelligence and information and know there was a huge, dramatic event yesterday. the images of civilians are heart wrenching, but it was not our doing, it was palestinian rocket firing and hitting palestinian people. the media prematurely reported
1:28 am
it and named the idf conducting an airstrike temperature. it shows the importance of media coverage and fact checking, you cannot let hamas dictate narrative and set the scene. this is why we're revealing this, sometimes even at potential threat we might jeopardize our assets. >> carley: are you worried this hospital strike will make the situation worse for the hostages? >> i think what could be worse than being held hostage by hamas, this ruthless terrorist organization. hamas knows. we all know israel does not target hospitals. we heard the conversation and distributed this to the media and you can find on on social media platforms.
1:29 am
the two terrorists are saying, oh, no, we hit the hospital. i don't think that is relevant question about the hostages. the 199 hostages need to be returned, their families are torn to pieces and distraught with stress and frustration and concern for their families, f brothers, sisters, grandmothers and holocaust survivors. >> carley: you have this audio recording and you have released it. how do you convince the arab world this was not an israeli airstrike. this will spark greater conflict in the region. >> this is the challenge we face and exactly what hamas is doing to mobilize and manipulate the arab world. we distributed the information
1:30 am
in arabic and diplomats are doing their job engaging. i'm confident we will be showing it with our colleague and allies from the u.s. they will get our intelligence, we will share with them, we are confident that message will reverberate. i've been around the block and this is first time we've been able to in relatively short time to get such a high level investigation on such an important issue in the space of a conflict of ongoing war. this is really a point of much credit for the idf and it needs to be applauded. we have to be cautious about everything hamas is saying. these people butcher babies, they would not have a problem lying to an international media outlet. >> todd: all eyes now in anticipation of the ground invasion whenever it may happen,
1:31 am
but idf spokesman saying, "we are preparing for next stages of war, we have not said who they will be, everyone is talking about ground offensive, it might be something different," what could the something different be? >> i think that is a broad misquote of what one colleague said. we are preparing for a ground mobilization, we need to prepare for that. terrorists involved. we will defeat hamas and utilize tools we have in order to implement directive given by the government to make sure hamas can never come into our bedrooms
1:32 am
and butchers our babies ever again. >> todd: why hasn't the ground offensive begun yet? >> the ground offensive is just one tool, if and when we are instructed to do so, it is in accordance to battle rhythm and military operation and international political interest and achievement we intend to gain. military and war is political intercourse by other mean. to achieve political goal and go on, there is timeframe we need to conduct this and be cautious sitting there with stop watches saying when is this going to happen, how is it going to happen? we need to be patient, there is a plan of action if mobilization does take place, we will announce it and you will be able to see it. but that is an if and it is all
1:33 am
dependent on the government's directive. >> carley: so many unknowns. if you are fighting a one or two-front war and what happens if syria becomes involved, as well? israel is one of the greatest fighting forces in it is world, but does israel have the capability and i mean just the stuff, the material, the weapons to take on multiple fronts? >> carley, the idf is a strong military, we are prepared to fight if need be on two fronts, on multi fronts the land operation in gaza is a challenge. hezbollah is a challenge, but our confidence is based on two componentses, our professional capabilities and the civil cohesion around israel and our people. i'm a reservist, they called me in, i dropped everything, i gave
1:34 am
my wife a kiss on the forehead as i left home on the 8th of october and i said goodbye to my daughter and came to the military. when we are in a state of war, when terrorist can come into my house and butcher my baby, i have no other choice. society here is strong and military is emboldened and empowered by that. we have to be clear, unfathomable attack conducted by hamas, it can never ever be the norm of terrorism we accept. this magnitude of this attack can neverbe accepted anywhere in the world and people know that. decent people are standing with israel now. >> todd: the pr presidential me going through the streets.
1:35 am
there is narrative out there as we watch these pictures of the president of the united states driving in israel, narrative that the idf is waiting for president biden to leave before beginning that ground offensive. how do you respond to that? >> well, we have to keep in mind there is as i said, political interest beyond military interest and those two need to compliment each other. i cannot confirm that is the issue on the ground. we are listening to our american allies. we have and president biden has been vocal about supporting israel and we are listening to our american allies. we are focused on our mission, as meetings take place we will continue to target hamas and disrupt any actions they are
1:36 am
trying to conduct. 450 of their rockets launched in the last 12 days landed in gaza. we saw what happens when one hits a hospital, we are not doing that type of action, we are focused and politic says and diplomacy is happening, we are continuing our military operation. >> carley: it is hard to imagine being in your shoes right now. like you told that story about kissing your wife and going to war and i know you are a reservist and i don't know if you thought this situation would unfold as rapidly as it is right now and horror that occurred just over a week ago are raw and will probably forever be. what is your hope? what is your expectation for what israel will look like in 10 years time? >> well, i'm not a prophet. yesterday i was in the hospital
1:37 am
is met survivors who had been at the music festival and met a soldier that had been called to operate special force soldier called to operate in southern israel in the aftermath of the attack. he was wounded and shot in the neck. what i saw is young men, young women with a passion of life and that i think exemplifies israel. that is -- we are a young, but old nation. we are a powerful military, a professional military dependent on people of israel. when i said to my wife, they are calling me, i have to go. she didn't question that, go do your thing and reflect what is going through israel. 10 years down the line, i couldn't answer that, we need to
1:38 am
live in peace and find peace and find peace from a position of strength, security and mutual respect. hamas terrorists are not a partner for any of those things, they want to do diabolical acts and are holding 199 hostages. the unfathomable terrorist attack against our people 12 days ago will be blemish on history of mankind and done a disservice to the palestinian people, as well. >> todd: the will of the people has been echoed throughout our coverage over the last week and a half by trey yingst. multiple occasion when we asked what is mood of the israeli soldiers, he said, they are scared. they know what is coming. they know that the fight will be very, very difficult and bloody
1:39 am
and deaths and casualties will occur, but they are so united. this is not war in a foreign land, this is visceral and happened. coming into your home, killing your child, that creates something in all of us, especially the israeli people who have been under fire for decades, if you will. i think that notion of like carley and you highlighted, you kissing your wife, you don't want to leave her issue but you have to leave her because this is the mission to defend your wife, your children and the entire israeli people. >> i agree. >> todd: it's a testament to you and the people.
1:40 am
360's,000, up to 400,000 idf soldiers ready to engage in fight, is that accurate? plus or minus? what do you know? >> it is around 300,000 people have prepared for duty prepared for ground maneuvering and mobilization including across all services, navy, air force and ground forces, homefront and defensive capabilities and for the northern front, the arena with hezbollah and potentially on the border with lebanon. you asked about what is potential of a two-front war, hezbollah, we have seen them escalating over last few days, they are firing missiles toward troops on the border and killed soldiers and civilianings doing so. we have responded in kind and then some.
1:41 am
we won't take that or accept that to be a reality. and yes, we have evacuated 28 communities across the border, across the frontier because that is what we do, take care of our people and get them out of harm's way. >> carley: you are looking live at images on the screen now of president biden sitting next to prime minister netanyahu. let's listen in right now. >> mr. president, joe, i want to thank you for coming here today. and for the unequivocal support you have given israel during
1:42 am
these trying times. a support that reflect overwhelming will of the american people. i've seen your support everyday in the depth and breadth of cooperation that we have had since the beginning of this war, a level upon cooperation that is truly unprecedented in history of the great alliance of two nations. we see that support and your commitment to provide israel with tools we need to defend ourselves. we see that support in the clear message you have sent our enemies not to test our resolve and in the two american carrier battle groups that you sent to the region to back up the words with action. above all, mr. president, the world sees that support. the moral clarity that you have demonstrated from the moment israel was attacked, you have rightly drawn a clear line
1:43 am
between the forces of civilization and forces of barbarism. you describe what hamas did as sheer evil, it is exactly that. hamas murdered children in front of their parents and parents in front of their children and burnt people alive. they raped and murdered weapon, beheaded soldiers, they searched for the secret hiding places where parents hid their children. just imagine, mr. president, the fear and the panic of those little children in their last moments as monsters found their hiding places. hamas kidnapped, women, children, holocaust survivors. i know you share our outrage on this and our determination to bring these people back.
1:44 am
on october 7, hamas murdered 1400 israelis, maybe more. this is in a country of fewer than 10 million people. this would be equivalent to 50,000 people in the u.s., that is 20 9/11. october 7 is a day that will live in infame. mr. president, you rightly said hamas is worse than isis. the german chancellor who visited yesterday said hamas were the new nazis and you are both right. united to defeat the nazis and isis, the civilized world must unite to defeat hamas. israel is united to defeat hamas and we will defeat hamas and remove this terrible threat from
1:45 am
our lives. the forces of civilization will prevail for our sake, for your sake, for peace and security in our region and in the world. mr. president, for the people of israel, there is only one thing better than having a true friend like you standing with israel and that is having you standing in israel. your visit here is the first visit of an american president in israel in a time of war. it is deeply, deeply moving. it speaks to depth of your personality commitment to israel and the future of the jewish people and one and only jewish state. so i know i speak for all the people of israel when i say thank you, mr. president. thank you for standing with israel today, tomorrow and always. >> mr. prime minister, thank you
1:46 am
very much. folks, i wanted to be here today for a simple reason, i wanted to be with israel and people of the world to know where the united states stands. i've had my great secretary of state here, he's been here a lot. i wanted to personally come and make that clear. terrorist group hamas has slaughtered, as pointed out over 1300 people and not hyperbole, slaughtered, slaughtered, including 31 americans as part of that. they have taken scores of people hostage, including children. imagine what those children hiding from hamas were thinking. it is beyond my comprehension to be able to comprehend what they were thinking. committed evils and atrocities
1:47 am
that make isis like somewhat more rationale. you know, americans are grieving with you, they really are. and americans are worried, worried because we know this is not an easy field to navigate what you have to do. but the fact is that israel as respond to the attacks seem to me have to continue to ensure that you have what you need to defend yourself and we're going to make sure that occurs, as you know. and we have to also bear in mind that hamas does not represent all the palestinian people. and has brought them only suffering. you know, years ago i asked secretary of state when he and i were in senate to write something for me and he said, wrote a line that i think is
1:48 am
appropriate. he said it is not we lead not just -- i won't go into it, i'll wait until later, i'm taking too much time. the poen is, i'm deeply saddened and outraged by the explosion at the hospital in gaza yesterday and based on what i've seen it appears it was done by the other team, not you. there are a lot of people out there not sure, we have to overcome a lot of things and also means encouraging life saving capacity to help the palestinians who are innocent s, caught in the middle of this. any rate, that is where we are. not just me, that is who the united states is. just not the example our powers
1:49 am
example almost as important. the world is looking, israel has a value set like the united states does and other democracies and they are looking to see what we're going to do. mr. prime minister, i'm happy to be back in israel with you. thank you for having me and i'm looking forward to having a thorough discussion about where everybody goes from here. thank you and i want to say to the people of israel, their courage, their commitment, their bravery is stunning, really stunning. i'm proud to be here. >> thank you. >> mr. president, what do you think -- >> thanks, guys. thanks, president. thank you, press. thank you. >> carley: that was president biden and prime minister netanyahu sitting down for a
1:50 am
