tv   The Ingraham Angle  FOX News  October 25, 2023 4:00pm-5:00pm PDT

4:00 pm
anti-semitic incidents in the u.s. have sky rocketed 400% since the war broke out. we will take a look at that and bring you all around the country about what's happening here in the u.s. and around the world. please remember, if you can't catch us live, set your dvr, 6 p.m. in the east, 3:00 p.m. in the west coast. thanks for inviting us into your home tonight. that's it for this report, fair, balanced and still unafraid. tomorrow i will be at the reagan library down the road talking about my book there as well. the ingraham angle is next. good night from yorba linda. >> laura: i'm lauer are ingraham. for the first time since the october 7th massacre by hamas,
4:01 pm
israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu pledged accountability, including for himself, for the intelligence failure that led to the attack which ended with 1,400 dead. but first he said hamas must pay and he'll lead israel to a crushing victory, he said, over their enemies. a date for the ground invasion has been set but not announced. as israel's bombardment of gaza continued today and the live report from jerusalem. trace gallagher is there. but first majoring in hatred. that's the focus of tonight's angle. it's totally undeniable there's a cancer within the democratic party and it's festering inside our universities. anti-semitism. it's always bubbled under the surface, but now it's under the open. >> palestine will be freed!
4:02 pm
palestine will be freed! no justice no peace! >> let this be a reminder that palestines that occupied for 75 years. >> when palestine is under attack what do we do? when palestine is under attack what do we do? >> laura: today it was a nationwide walkout for palestine at colleges and even some high schools across america. participants called it a peace protest but that's not how hamas is interpreting it. for them it's another propaganda victory. young minds in the united states are falling for this big lie, that they're the real victims in this story. a new harvard harris poll asked people about their views in the united states on hamas and israel. overall 84% of respondents told pollsteres they favored israel which is good. 16% favored hamas. okay. but for those 18-24, only 52%
4:03 pm
expressed support with israel and 48% sympathized with hamas. newsweek summed it up this way. yeah, that's right. nearly half of young respondents said they'd side with a terrorist group that just this month targeted and slaughtered innocent civilians including women, children and infants. then this overlooked data point. the pollsters asked do you think the attacks on jews were genocidal in nature or not? 62% those age 18-24 said yes they were genocidal. at the same time, the same age group was asked, do you think that hamas killing of 1,200 israeli citizens could be justified by grievances of palestinians or is it not justified? 51% said yes the attacks were justified. national review reacted this way. there are two ways to interpret
4:04 pm
this finding. one is to think there are millions of americans who are okay with genocide against jews. another explanation is that there are millions of people who don't know what genocidal means. or -- >> do you go to college to get stupid? you're really stupid. >> laura: brainwashed, privileged youth taught by activists to be activists. from climate change to george floyd to the days and nights of rage. last night a few miles from our studio, students from george washington university felt emboldened enough to broadcast their anti-semitism. the campus called justice in palestine projected messages on to the wall of a central building that included glory to our martyrs and divest from zionist genocide. another slogan was free palestine from the river to the
4:05 pm
sea. if you don't know that motto, that's a rallying cry for hamas. it's widely seen as calling for the annihilation of israel. could it have been a coincidence that the university building chosen by these students for their stunt is the gellman library which was funded by prominent jewish-american family? doubt it. once made aware of what was happening, university claims to have promptly told the students, bad on you, stop projecting those images, please. the university responded with a carefully worded, but rather tepid statement at first, at no point mentioning what was actually said in these hateful messages. of course, after getting hit with a massive backlash, they finally admitted the phrases projected on the library themselves were anti-semitic. nice try on the cleanup, but the messages were allowed to flash on the building for two
4:06 pm
hourswhy? how long do you think it would have taken them to stop a christian group projecting bible passages? five minutes that thing would have been down? that's about right. understandably jewish students across the country feel like they're under siege. >> they want us dead. >> laura: the sad truth is, unless huge numbers of wealthy families begin with holding donations to these university, this situation is only going to get worse. my message to parents tonight. why are you sending your sons and daughters and your hard earned money for all that tuition dollars to colleges who don't just tolerate anti-semitism but in some cases actively encourage both? look what's happening at uc
4:07 pm
berkeley. students are reportedly getting extra credit for being extra stupid. according to screen shots, one professor is rewarding students for buying into their settler colonial occupation of gaza charade. students should demand extra credit, i think, for schooling this professor on the long history of muslim conquest and colonialism beginning in 7th and 8th century? professor might not be aware of that. what the arab arm did in central africa? justified? ask your professors about that. back to the democrats. decades ago the party of fdr and jfk made a deal with the devil when it abandoned its working class traditional roots and began to align itself with anti-american neomarxist radicals. these people were well funded and were motivated by anti-western grievance. and now these same people, a new
4:08 pm
generation, are demanding a clean break from israel. remember, britain's labour party almost destroyed itself with the anti-semitic jeremy corbin. this is where democrats will head today if they're not careful. they allowed their political identity to be infected by a vicious lie, that america is racist, that our founders are racist and that about half our country needs to essentially just die off because it's racist. the real truth is, the real evil is what they have welcomed into their own party. >> people think it's okay to bomb a hospital. president biden not all america is with you on this one. you need to listen and understand that! >> do you think israel should just lay down their arms and not try to get the hostages out of gaza? >> how can israel have a cease fire with terrorists whose entire mission is to wipe out their existence?
4:09 pm
>> you're blocking the elevator. >> how can they have a cease fire? >> laura: notice how the democrats never disassociate themselves from the likes of the squad. why does the administration talk to its favorite house media organ today axios bragging saying they are delaying israel going into gaza. to placate their party's fanatics. another telling moment from biden earlier today. >> 24 u.s. troops have been injured during ten drone or rocket attacks on bases in iraq and three in syria over the past week. should americans be worried that the war already is escalating? >> we have had troops in the region since 9/11 to go after isis and prevent its re-emergence in both, anyway, in the region, having nothing to do with israel at all. my warning to the ayatollah was
4:10 pm
that if they continued to move against those troops we will respond. and he should be prepared. it has nothing to do with israel. >> laura: oh. nothing to do with israel? you're thinking he can't be serious. sure, troops have been injured before in iranian backed attacks, including 2020. but now iran is sending us a message. remain committed to israel's safety, allow a gaza invasion and risk stoking a bigger regional war. so now is the time for seering clarity. biden, more accurately his handler, undoubtedly see the domestic political repercussions as well. in an election that will probably be close, they cannot afford to lose young voters which are increasingly pro hamas voters. that's the angle. joining me now a jewish student at gw university and a witness to last night's anti-semitic
4:11 pm
incident on campus. sabrina, what were your thoughts first when you saw those messages about the martyrs of hamas projected onto that library wall at gwu? >> hi, yes. i am here standing in front of the gellman library at the george washington university and the main square, plaza. i was notified of these slogans while i was coming back from an event. i was very shocked, but i was not surprised. i'll tell you why. i think that jewish students have been warning of this kind of radical ideology by anti-israel groups on campus. this is just one extreme manifestation that they are really showing their true colors here. this is absolute anti-semitism. and what is happening, there's a lot of radical ideology that's going on in the classroom where terrorism is being justified in
4:12 pm
very insidious ways and it is concerning. i'm shocked but not surprised. this ideology is coming out. it's coming out in public now. my first reaction was, yes, of course, i'm fearful. jewish students are fearful. but again, we shouldn't be surprised. >> laura: now, listen to what one protester, sabrina, said to the police when this vigil that they called it was shut down. >> shut it down because other people are angry. sabrina, were other students who were concerned, were they being violent? >> no student who came last night was being violent. jewish students saw this projected on their library while
4:13 pm
they were trying to study. but this was projected. how can you not stop and see what's happening. it wasn't an incitement. we didn't talk to them. we just wanted to see what was going on. it wasn't until it was made clear by the school that this was against campus policy that there was actually an intervention by the police. of course, very respectful saying, look, this is not allowed, just pack up and go. unfortunately the students did not want to move or get out of the way. they didn't want to pack up their stuff and go. ultimately what happened, one of the students got up after a five minute debate or so, the one that was depicted on the screen and started shouting free free palestine. the whole other -- the plaza split into two. there was one side of people screaming anti-israel, anti-semitic slogans at the top
4:14 pm
of their lungs. the jewish students decided to sing a song for peace. that's really the difference you see. there's one side that's inciting violence through their hateful speech. and there's another side that's constantly trying to bring peace and really just praying for a better tomorrow and that all this hatred stops. no, we are not inciting violence, the jewish students on this campus. we are in no way inciting anything. all we want is peace on our campus and no escalation of anything further. >> laura: wow, sabrina. we're watching this very closely. we appreciate it. thank you very much. joining me missouri senator josh hawley. i don't know if you were able to hear that. this is wild. george washington university projected on the library students in there studying these messages of how hamas are marters and the genocide of israel and the pro zionist side
4:15 pm
of the university itself. you introduced a bill that would have condemned acts like we just told you about. was it chris han hollins, your colleague, who blocked it, saying it would smear the protesters? your reaction. >> well, the reaction is that unbelievable that in the united states of america today, you've got democrats who are willing to defend this kind of reprehensible pro genocide rhetoric. that's all there is to it. there's no defense. we should speak with one voice. attacks on israel are evil. attacks against jewish-americans are evil. the call for murder of jews is evil. clearly our colleges have failed these students. these students on all these campuses are cheering on this genocide. they don't know right from wrong. we need to tell them what right and wrong is. we can start right here by saying this is wrong. these attacks are wrong. that's what we should be doing.
4:16 pm
>> laura: senator, what about the concern about free expression? that students on college campuses have a right to express themselves and the first amendment exists to protect the most despicable speech and the concern that i'm already hearing that, look, this is going to be turned on conservative students. as well intentioned as this condemnation is, that what happens when it's the conservative speech that is suddenly the threat? >> we're already there. we've seen that happen, laura. here's the response. we've got to call out what is right and what is wrong. just because the first amendment protects something. in this case it does protect speech, even speech that's reprehensible. that's true. that doesn't mean we have to agree with it though. if you don't like someone else's speech, the answer is not to try to censor them. it's to add to it. we need to say attacks on
4:17 pm
jewish-americans are wrong. attacks on israel is wrong. genocide is wrong. that's the solution. >> laura: the poll numbers that came out from that harvard harris survey about 18-24-year-olds views on when genocide can be justified. i mean, i don't know if they don't know what the word genocide is or if it's sheer ignorance. i don't know. that is concerning. at the same time, senator, we had joe biden saying the reason he ran for president was charlottesville. that's why he ran for president. where's joe biden on this? does this bother him or this was okay? >> well, let's not forget his press secretary just stood at the white house podium and said she didn't know anything about anti-semitism. she was asked about attacks on jewish-americans and israelis. she said, we don't have reports of that. are you kidding me? are your eyes open? these colleges are complicit in
4:18 pm
this. they have made all of this talk and effort about safe spaces and what they've really done is, they have allowed this virilant, anti-israel, anti-semitic ideology to fester and grow. >> laura: safe spaces for radicalism but not safe spaces ever for traditionalism. senator, thank you. biden claims he isn't delaying an israeli ground invasion, but what's the truth? we're going to go live to trace gallagher with answer. senator rand paul. can't wait for that. this she■s a hero moment. even today, only a quarter of stem graduates are women. they'd go, oh, you don't look like an engineer. there is this preconception. some things are for boys. but diversity drives innovation. my goal is to really flip the script. pick something that you love and go for it. how do we live in space? how do we live on the moon? i want to help figure that out. you can create the blueprint. if you can see her, you can be her.

>> have you sought assurances from him that he will hold off on a ground invasion until safe release of the hostages can be done? >> i have said if there's a chance to get these folks out safely. i didn't demand it. i pointed out, if it's real, it should be done. >> laura: he claims he didn't demand it. if that's the case, why is the administration bragging to media outlets that it was holding israel back as long as possible? joining me now with the latest in jerusalem is anchor of fox news at night trace gallagher.
4:24 pm
trace, what do we know at this hour? >> reporter: well, we know it appears the president is almost out of the loop on this, laura. you hear him just a short time ago, said it earlier this afternoon that, in fact, he did not demand that israel stop the ground war, delay the ground war. but he suggested that it's a good idea to get the hostages out. on the flip side you have "the wall street journal" reporting that israel agreed to delay the ground war to give u.s. time to bring in missile defense systems to protect u.s. forces. there have been 14 attacks against u.s. military bases in the past week and 24 u.s. service members have been injured. it's important to note of those 24 some of those we're just now finding out they were traumatic brain injuries. so this is a much bigger deal. you have the president and secretary of state, antony blinken, both saying iran, the proxy of all of these attacks on these various bases needs to
4:25 pm
stop this or there will be a response. we have heard that a few times. we have yet to see any real response at all. biden said, yes, he did advise that they stop for the hostages but not for anything else. it's important to note, also, that you had benjamin netanyahu, the israeli prime minister, saying on the heels of this "wall street journal" report saying, no. the only thing we are waiting for is our war cabinet. they will decide when and if this ground war begins because they are ready. qatar is coming out publicly saying they are in top level negotiations with hamas to get these hostages out. they're not talking about two or four. they're talking about dozens of hostages. we will see if that happens sometime in the next several days. >> laura: trace, are they worried about hamas manipulating the situation with these hostages? >> reporter: always.
4:26 pm
always. hamas is clearly trying to slow this process down. if they slow it down, they know that it will delay the ground war an they can use this drib and drab hostages to give themselves time. >> laura: just as we saw in the runup to the iraq war, the big spenders and the big war advocates in congress are demanding unanimity. they want no debate. despite hundreds of billions that will fly out the door. >> house of representatives should take up this national security package and humanitarian relief package immediately, in totality and without delay. the time for partisanship is over. it's time to get back to doing the business of the american people. >> laura: joining me now
4:27 pm
kentucky senator rand paul, author of the new book "deception the great covid cover-up." we'll get to that in a moment. you saw the house republicans stay seated when he called for this immediate passage of the aid to israel and ukraine. does that really give you any hope for fiscal sanity on the hill? >> the big republicans have already joined hands with the democrats. they want $100 billion to everyone. just put everything into one bill. we'll borrow it from china and send it out. if you listen to the speaker's speech today, which i thought was great. the new speaker said the first bill coming to the floor will be, sounded like to me funding just for israel by itself which is what many of the conservatives on the senate side have been advocating before and separating out ukraine and taiwan and all this other stuff. so i think actually the speaker has unilaterally put the kabash on the big government waste basket approach of dumping in another $60 billion for ukraine.
4:28 pm
i think it's going to stop. i don't think the new speaker, if he's clever enough to have gotten elected out of that mess, i don't think he's going to put $60 billion for ukraine, which he has 100 members opposed to that vast amount. i don't think he'll put that on the floor. i expect he'll do what he said. put a single individual bill for israel. the people who are advocating for unlimited funds for ukraine will be put back by this because they'll have to start again. >> laura: we don't have any money. people forget we have to borrow the money or print the money because we don't have the money. mitch mcconnell and the rest of the leadership over in the senate, they had lunch with condoleezza rice yesterday from the bush administration. they walked away with a firm commitment to all of these projects being connected together. watch. >> speaking for myself, i do think it needs to be comprehensive. i think it needs to deal with all of these because they're all interrelated. what we have now is an axis of
4:29 pm
evil, china, russia an iran. >> laura: we're back to the axis of evil. do you agree they're all related, ukraine, israel, u.s. borders get the pittance? >> i would only say they are related in the sense that they'll bankrupt our country sending money everywhere all over the planet. it is probably the greatest threat to our national security if that's what we are thinking that is what we should do to protect our national security. the greatest threat is the national debt. we borrowed $1 trillion in the last few months. we are threatening our security with this spending. >> laura: interest on the debt is more than the pentagon's budget. senator, in your book, we find out only 3% of the american people want to buy into this latest booster, this latest covid booster. finally we see people seeing the light about what's going on here? >> we talk about that in the
4:30 pm
book "deception." what happened, the cdc scientists and the fda scientists all agree the booster should only be for those at risk over 65. a biden political appointee rochelle wolensky said, no, let's give it to baby starting at 6 months. nobody in the rest of the world does that. if you look at the risk versus the benefits, there are risks for children an virtually no benefits. healthy kids, we have seen the statistic, virtually no healthy kids. may be the number zero. no healthy kids died from covid. so your kid doesn't need to be vaccinated for this. >> laura: at least pfizer got rich. thank you. two years after his son was killed during that horrific pullout from afghanistan, mark schmitt told the house foreign affairs committee that biden was a disgrace to the country. mark is here next to respond to the president's comments today on the american hostage situation in gaza. stay there.

>> two years has gone by and where are we? to be frank, we're knee deep in [ bleep ] john kirby still sits on his perch. blinken continues to delay key evidence by ignoring delaying subpoenas. not a single general slapped down their stars. not a single person has been held accountable. our so called leader can't seem to utter their names in public, not even once. >> laura: a broken heart and righteous anger from a father who lost his son due to biden's disastrous withdrawal from afghanistan. now that travesty cost the lives of 13 american service members and of course the same players
4:37 pm
who screwed up in afghanistan, kirby and blinken, are now running the show in yet another middle east crisis with the lives of u.s. hostages on the line. >> hostages are in jeopardy. >> do you want to make a speech? no, look. obviously, they're in jeopardy. the question is whether or not there's any way of getting them out. >> laura: it's not just ten unaccount ted for americans. reports tonight the biden administration is prepping for the mass evacuation of hundreds of thousands of americans throughout the middle east. joining me now gold star dad you just heard mark schmitt. it's really good to see you. thank you for joining us. how much faith do you have in that same biden team as you're watching this unfold in the middle east, as dangerous as this situation is? >> i have no faith in them. i don't think they've learned a single lesson from afghanistan. i mean, we still have american
4:38 pm
citizens in afghanistan that we haven't gotten out. i just wonder if blinken is now climbing on the perch of kirby, where he saw no chaos. i think these guys are just tone deaf. i think sometimes state department needs to take a back seat instead of trying to lead the action. they need to figure out what the hell they're doing. they seem to screw up everything. >> mark i have never seen a situation where people can screw up more and yet there's no accountability. there's no change in policy. and there's no accountability. no change in personnel. if this were a basketball team with a coach and an assistant coach that kept losing, the whole coaching staff would be fired. but not here. >> it seems this is probably the safest job in the world to have next to being a meteorologist where you get to be wrong half the time an still have your job. these guys, unfortunately, have not taken much from the history
4:39 pm
books and learned from that. speaking specifically to afghanistan. we've demanded resignations. gotten none. seeing generals retiring out. we're not done with them. we'll be calling them back in to the foreign affairs committee to answer a lot of questions that they may have thought they got away from without having the answer to. there's still a lot to be done. we're never gonna stop. >> laura: now, mark, i want you to see this exchange secretary blinken had about the status of the hostages. >> do you feel all ten unaccounted for americans are being held hostage? >> we don't know. we don't know for sure whether some of the unaccounted for are dead and simply not been uncovered yet or a hostage. we have a pretty strong idea some number of the ten are being held in gaza by hamas. >> laura: mark, if there's anyone on the face of the
4:40 pm
planet, does anyone look at that interview and his comment and think this guy knows what he's doing? anyone alive? >> not at all. not at all. i fear for those families that are concerned for their loved ones still over there. i know our military at the drop of a hat would do what they have to do and what they love best. last thing i want to see is another gold star family out of all of this. i don't think a lot of this stuff would have happened, including ukraine and other instances going on around the world, had we had a leader that's got some backbone. i have been watching his idle threats to iran. if you do this, we're going to do that. i don't see anyone being spooked by that whatsoever. >> laura: no. >> it's shameful. >> laura: mark, thank you. we continue to pray for you, your family and the families of all those service members lost. thank you so much. all right. two las vegas teens filmed themselves running over and

>> laura: joining me randy sutton retired las vegas police lieutenant. my blood was boiling watching that video. i know so many americans watching this and thinking the family of that retired police chief having to watch that. no remorse from either of them. >> you mentioned the family being in the courtroom and being in that close proximity with these two. it's difficult for people to believe evil exists in this world, laura. the reality is it does. when i look at these two, that's what i see. they are devoid of humanity. they are devoid of the common traits of empathy, of compassion. it doesn't exist within them. they have become some type of mutation. this is what we are growing in america now because there is such an empowering of
4:48 pm
criminality throughout this nation where the lack of consequences is now the rule as opposed to the exception. these two, these two have absolutely no humanity within them. here's the harsh reality when it comes down to sentencing. first of all, they are being treated as adults. >> laura: good. >> they are being tried as adults. because of the age of these two the maximum sentences they could receive is life with the possibility of parole. i wish the death sentence could be utilized in this case. >> laura: to that point, there's another moment in the police car after the 17-year-old was arrested. watch this. >> you should buy me something to eat. >> something to eat? why? >> i'm hungry. >> laura: randy, he said you should buy me something to eat.

there's a sense of entitlement. i don't want to treat them like they deserve to be analyzed. but in this case there's a sense of entitlement. you get the sense entitled because they are agrieved, they can get whatever they want. they can kill anyone they want. and they don't expect any consequences. it's a joke to them. >> it is a joke to them. to hear them laughing and giggling like the creatures that they are, it sends a chill down your spine. remember that they killed the second person that they hit but they also hit another man on a bicycle. in fact they switched places. they each wanted a turn at trying to kill someone. the fact that they did it, there's no remorse. the callousness they displayed. here we have something i don't even consider them human.
4:50 pm
i consider them mutations and something that we need to guard ourselves against. i just pray that they are never unleashed on humans again because once they have displayed this behavior, they're not going back. >> laura: randy, i hate to say it. we have a lot of young people coming across our border with no parent, no guidance, no father figure. i think we have a powder keg in this country right now. this is just the tip of the iceberg, i'm sorry to say. but thank you. biden's award ceremony. that goes off the rails. as the president stumbles, possible under study meets with the chinese president. all the details. seen and unseen is next. ♪ fastsigns. make your statement. we got the house! you did! pods handles the driving.
