>> kayleigh: explosions in the skies over israel right now. listen to that. idf continue to make preparation for a ground invasion go gaza. trey yingst in northern israel with the latest. trey. >> trey: kayleigh, good afternoon, we've been following developments near to the gaza border. over the past three weeks, we've heard nothing like we have heard tonight and seen nothing like we have seen tonight. effort by israeli military to strike targets in northern part of the gaza strip from the air and also the ground and the sea.
9:02 am
we've seen artillery units active here. hais fire going into gaza. we have seen 155 cluster rounds on northern part of the strip. the navy is shelling. i just want you to listen to that there, sense how heavy airstrikes are, they are shaking the ground near the gaza border. >> kayleigh: trey, no doubt, you said that is heaviest you have heard and certainly that we've heard here on the couch. you spoke to the israeli defense minister and he said it is not a question of weeks, but question of months as to how long they will be in there. he said, "we are close," do you think this could be the beginning of the ground invasion. >> trey: i don't want to speculate, but it is certainly the heaviest fire we have seen and traditionally when armies enter the ground, they soften the target ahead of time.
9:03 am
this is type of fire you would see before a ground operation. the artillery fire in the distance, the naval shelling and airstrikes up and down the gaza strip. there are thousands of infantly troops along the board conducting limited night-time raids over 48 hours, they destroyed number of hamas and jihad cells along border and anti-tank guided missiles. israelis are concerned they will be ambushed by the factions inside gaza when they enter the strip. part of what they are doing is tlieing to clear out the area and ensure they'll be able to enter as well as possible and not get ambushed by cells along the border. israelis are preparing for what is expected to be months of bloodsy urban battle. understanding from the defense minister who we talked to face-to-face in tel aviv and the
9:04 am
israeli colonels and infantry troops getting a sense of what they are worried about before they enter gaza. they understand this is a challenging battle, road bombs andieds, troops armed, guerilla warfare before their eyes. airstrikes soften the ground ahead of that possible ground operation. kayleigh. >> emily: it is emily, it is my understanding you met with the israeli defense minister gallant this morning, what did you learn from that meeting? >> trey: strikes there nonstop, if i pause it is to let you listen to that, it illustrates through sound the picture here on the ground. it is a significant development what we are seeing tonight, constant barrage we have seen in terms of rocket fire from gaza and also the bombardment from the air and the ground.
9:05 am
israel defense minister gallant speaking with a group of six journalists today in tel aviv, we spoke for an hour and a half and couldn't have our phones inside this room, a protected room from any sort of technology so we couldn't record the conversation. we could take notes. majority of the conversation was off the record. discussed broader regional concern. i got quotes cleared to bring them to the audience here. we talked about timing of ground operation. what i found interesting, was four-point plan for israeli military and he laid out that plan and we got this confirmed and will report on air. mission for the israeli army is in no particular order to destroy hamas' military and governing capability along the gaza strip, to return the hostages, 229 people being held inside gaza, to secure israel southern arena, where we are
9:06 am
right now and to deter israel adversaries in the region and make clear there is a plan. questions we had for him often focused on what comes next after the israelis enter gaza. how long will they stay inside the strip? he said this is a matter of months, not weeks or days and who will govern after they destroy hamas and that part he wanted to remain off the record for and we'll continue to report out and try to get that information. there are questions here and questions about once the ground operation begin and once orders are given by the echelon in israel how the region will respond. >> kayleigh: this is kayleigh, one more question. i was looking on your twitter feed and i saw just yesterday, you had posted something, it was red alerts of hamas launching rockets into tel aviv and they
9:07 am
were excessive coming up moment by moment. what can you tell us about the rockets coming in the other direction? >> trey: absolutely, 21 days into the conflict, they have maintained their ability to fire on major population centers across israel. this is significant because we're talking about thousands of airstrikes that have taken place since the massacre in southern israel, firing from northern and central part of gaza strip, sirens sounding in tel aviv, israel second largest city despite the airstrikes. show you what is looks like on a phone here. this is a grab i took, you can see what it is like when rockets come in, constant notifications telling people to get to bomb shelters. in communities near the gaza border, i pause to let you listen because this is unlike
9:08 am
anything we have seen over the past several weeks, since had war began. the rocket fire, you have 10 seconds and when we have been reporting live on fox, we're close to gaza that mortar fire can reach this location. if there are air raid sirens, we have 10 seconds to respond. we have a plan in place, drop gear, keep camera running and get to shelter. every community in between has different amount of time to get to a bomb shelter. talk about the psychological trauma for israelis living amidthis conflict, young children have to run to shelters, their parents are trying to explain what is happening. they are so terrified that the israeli response service, ambulance service has had to change the tone of their siren. today at the meeting in tel aviv, we heard an ambulance, a
9:09 am
different tone so people aren't mixing up siren from ambulance with rocket siren telling them to head for shelter. the generational trauma hamas has inflicted on israel should not be understated. this country is at war, ninth declared war since the founding of israel. it is not easier for the israeli people and following the brutal massacre where 1400 israelis were slaughtered in their homes, this country is in pain and still in shock. >> kayleigh: that trauma is unfathomable. stay safe, these are strikes like we have never heard and as you have been seeing we see ashkelon. stay safe, trey. >> trey: thank you. >> kayleigh: today's panel, co-host of bottom line, dagen mcdowell, restoring america editor for washington examiner
9:10 am
and independent woman's senior fellow kaylee mcghee white, and jason chaffetz. congressman, what trey said there was important, not something we discuss often. that is trauma for everyday civilians in israel. a former colleague of mine from the trump administration has been there and he has a six year old daughter, decision do we go to the park or will air raid siren go off? for a six year old something to take in. >> jason: that will last for generations, i've been to sderot. those come occasionally more than anything you can imagine in this country but to have bombardment and slaughtering of a thousand people is amazing.
9:11 am
hostages taking of americans, it really is hard to get your mind around. >> kayleigh: it is and important to underscore, it is happening, israel, strikes like we have not seen. it will be weaponized, the media will change this, we have seen that with the hospital and false narratives. the strikes would not be happening if babies were not burned alive and hamas did not come in and kill civilians. no one wants death of innocent civilians in gaza, but this is happening because of hamas not allowing people to leave. >> kaylee: the trauma has been going on for years, they have been targeted by hamas in gaza for years. when i was in israel several years ago we went to kibbutz
9:12 am
near gaza and they took us to a playground specifically designed as a bomb shelter so if students and children were outside playing, they would have somewhere to run. this is how they have grownup and lived for years. israel's retaliation against hamas has been years in the running and the october 7 terror attack was final straw. >> kayleigh: the final straw and dagen, u.s. administration, been supportive of israel, there have been reports they are tempting to delay ground invasion, that has been denied by the israelis. it seems like this might be the ground invasion, israel doesn't seem to be backing down nor should they. dagen if biden administration want to follow up the words, they have to walk that talk. and use deeds, as well. that is starving the snake and
9:13 am
that's iran. i mean, all of the money that flows to the enemies of israel and the enemies of the united states come from iran and since day one as you talked about over and over again, the biden administration has allowed at least 100 billion to flow to coffers of iran regime because of attempt to appease and the export of oil. it is primary source of revenue and they have done since october 7, nothing to stop the flow of oil, absolutely nothing. there is no evidence that one tanker has stopped from leaving iran and going to china or anywhere, 90% of oil comes out of iran through the strait and all joe biden would have to do is come out and say we're going to open federal land for leasing in the gulf of mexico and new
9:14 am
mexico, wherever we can pump oil, we're going to pump it and drive the price of oil down and help starve terrorism impacting israel and -- well, everyone, and killing israelis. >> emily: turning to another major story. the manhunt for the armed and dangerous maine mass shooting suspect continues to intensify, authorities order residents to shelter in place. robert card is the prime suspect in the massacre at bowling alley and bar that left 18 dead and 13 injured. authorities say we are still days away from a complete crime scene analysis, they report over 530 tips from the public. heavily armed fbi and atf searched two homes yesterday with elite border patrol joining the search. u.s. marshal service involved and we're learning divers are
9:15 am
being deployed as investigators turn their attention to a river and race to track down the suspect. let's go to nate foy with the latest details from lewiston, maine. what do you have for us? >> nate: emily, good afternoon, authorities continue to collect and process evidence at the two locations where the shootings happened at the restaurant and bowling alley. in the past few minutes, law enforcement officers with rifles out started approaching a home, a developing situation we're trying to learn more about, we don't have a visual to show, we are working on that, based on press conference that happened a couple hours ago, the main focus of today's manhunt is near the lisbon boat launch where the suspect robert card's vehicle was found on the androscoggin river which feeds out to coast where u.s. coast guard is assisting in the hunt.
9:16 am
teams searching with sonar technology. here is commissioner of public safety moments ago. what will happen today we will put divers in the water, so very first thing you see out there, you see air resources fly over this particular area and they're looking to see what can we clear from the air. do we have to put divers in that particular area? >> the commissioner warned everyone they will continue using pa systems like they did last night, maine state police executed multiple search warrants in his home in maine. the commissioner said it does not mean an arrest is imminent, but we did get that live picture i was talking about, you can't see a whole lot right now, but moments ago, law enforcement was with rifles out, approaching a home.
9:17 am
we are continuing to dig for information to learn exactly what is happening here. we're also learning there will be another news conference today scheduled for 3:00 with state officials speaking earlier in the previous news conference, officials committed to daily 10:00 a.m. news conference and said they would only do afternoon -- >> emily: nate foy, excuse my interruption, on the left of the screen looks to be law enforcement surrounding a man on his knees in front of them. they have weaponed pointed at him, he picked up a dog, any light you can shed, live on the ground in lewiston, maine in this manhunt for robert card, do you see this footage at all? >> so i'm on delay on a phone right now, i am seeing the image that you are referencing, this
9:18 am
obviously is incredibly encouraging and a visual that everybody here in the surrounding area has been hoping for, 18 killed, 13 injured, everyone wants the manhunt to end with nobody hurt or killed. i don't have any more information other than what we saw moments ago and seeing right now. we'll continue to try to confirm that this is in fact robert card, but it certainly is very encouraging development here. >> emily: the situation looks extremely tenuous at this moment, law enforcement posturing at this moment does seem calm, some of them. one officer is walking away from the suspect on his knees, gesturing to others. there are two that remain pointing with weapons to the suspect on his knees at this point. i'm narrating what i see from the ariel source right here.
9:19 am
so what we are seeing now law enforcement walking in a heavily wooded area with a man on his knees, that is now we see two additional people walking up. nate, we see the scene develop, you were boots on ground for the daniel cavalcante, what about this was different? >> nate: that was exactly what i was going to talk about. right now we're at the command center where state and federal agencies are collaborating and you mentioned elite border patrol bortac unit that arrived last night trained to navigate difficult terrain. i am reminded of the manhunt of daniel cavalcante, this is another rural area as we were in chester county, pennsylvania. maine is similar, certainly a lot of area to hide and tactical unit able to track down
9:20 am
cavalcante. working to confirm if this is robert card and if so, if the bortac team was again leading the way in capturing this person if it is in fact him. so much of those two cases, i see parallels, it is on the community to keep themselves safe and lock their doors and something we continue to hear from maine officials and to continue providing information and just hours ago, maine authorities said they received 530 tips, more than 530 tips and continue following up on tips and one of them hits. it is a long arduous process where keep following up on tips and it is frustrating, but one of them turns out to be one that leads to an arrest or capture. again, everyone in this community certainly so shaken,
9:21 am
heartbroken at the 18 lives that were taken senselessly and the 13 people injured. i mentioned three in critical condition still. there is immense sadness in this community and fear this man has documented mental health history of making threats to shoot up a national guard base and hearing voices in his head and being taken out of an army training exercise back in july for a mental health incident and alcohol related incident and being referred for treatment there. there is fear as much as sadness and before everyone can move on, not move on, begin the healing process emotionally, first thing that needs to happen, this man needs to be taken into custody, hope that is what is happening now. >> kayleigh: kayleigh mcenany here, our heart grieves with
9:22 am
this community. a 14-year-old boy taken, members of the deaf community taken, as well, extraordinary sad. one thing i did see, the family of the suspect is cooperating, they have been sending mr. card texts. one thing that stood out, the brother of mr. card would not confirm if he received text messages in return, what do you know about that, about the family, about their cooperation? that is curious response and i would hope perhaps there is response that can aid police officers in tracking this man down. >> nate: so we have not been able to contact any family members directly but multiple outlets have reported family members have described this man as sort of falling off a mental health cliff over the past year and this was not something he
9:23 am
had dealt with previously until the past year when things have certainly taken a downturn. i'm being told right now this is not robert card. so that is really a devastating development because certainly so many people in this community are watching the news, there is shelter in place order. every single business is closed here and i mean everywhere, no one is on the streets, except for media and police. a lot of people were hoping that this was the moment the manhunt ended and i'm being told by producers, it is not. >> kayleigh: nate foy, thank you. without a doubt, you can imagine the fear of the community not knowing where a mass gunman murderer is at this moment. i want to underscore, we've been told the individual kneeling, a woman with a small dog.
9:24 am
mr. card not in custody just yet. >> emily: dr. alex, cri criminalology professor. what we saw underscores what nate foy said, there is no one on the street except law enforcement and media and what we saw unfold is what happened when someone else was on the street, which was intense response immediately by law enforcement pointing their weapons to identify those individuals and clear them. i think it is worth underscoring clearly tensions are high and urgency and priority high at this moment, professor. >> good afternoon, emily, let's keep in mind all people so affected by this tragedy and make sure they have support and resources they need. what we are seeing play out in live time is like a live tv show. you don't know what is next and don't know what you don't know.
9:25 am
law enforcement have to take every lead serious as the next one because you don't know what you don't know. the amount of personnel on this case 24/7 by land, in the water, by the air, is remarkable and the people in those communities who live in the area in their homes waiting and waiting and waiting. imagine the stress those people are feeling right now. >> there have been reports about the ability of this individual to survive and have prepared for this phase. that doesn't seem unexpected given clear lengths he went to plan and execute that horrific attack. it recalls to mind jimmy lee dykes, 2013, who constructed elaborate bunker as part of his plan. what say you about the mind of someone who orchestrated elaborate assault on entire community and now might be and
9:26 am
likely is prepared for this phase going undetected. >> yeah, we have to be careful about not speculating too much, it is clear this individual chose two specific locations at specific times of the day and wasn't there when law enforcement showed up. planning and coordination from the individual. whether or not there are other individuals involved, who knows and where this person is more cloudy and that is more concerning for law enforcement and people there. they have no idea what the next step or move is. >> emily: we know the fbi created rapid start o'ryan, system for massive amount of tips introduced at that type with the kidnapping. here is what is your analysis on the tips coming in and ability of law enforcement to ascertain each one credibly and with full effort and attention and sort of discard as they see and use ones
9:27 am
they see. what kind of volume are they facing with that? >> that is what we know in terms of the way information comes out slowly. no doubt in my mind, men and women of the fbi are taking every single tip they are getting seriously and looking at social media, a lot of people post stuff and may know someone, amount of interviewing they are doing that we may not know about. did you see this person? do you know someone who knew someone else? going on in realtime, amount of time and energy is extraordinary and i'm thankful to that. >> emily: thank you for joining us today. the authorities are asking the public for help and if you have information about the suspect robert card please contact authorities at the number on the screen 207-213-9526, no tip too small. coming up, the united states hitting back against iran-backed

days, 10 days, iran-backed proxies have launched 20 attacks on american troops in iraq and syria. war rages on between israel and hamas, iran demanding the united states stop supporting ally or be prepared to face more fire. >> i say frankly to the american statesmen who are now managing the genocide in palestine, that we do not welcome to expansion of the war in the region. but if genocide in gaza continues, they will not be spared from this fire. >> kayleigh: we want to be crystal clear, there is no genocide being waged by israel. those were lies. in fact, it is israelis who were attacked by hamas. bring in letired army general

morning. we knew they were starting to burn documents precursor to losing an embassy. we said, let's wake the president, and vice president, here is what is happening and the president says to us, who is involved? we say soleimani. he says, get soleimani. in the process of getting soleimani two days later, we took him out, we said here is next step and strategic leadership by the president. he said publicly to the world, there are 52 targets in iran we'll go after if this continues. also, secretary of state passed message through the swiss who are protecting power which means our adversaries because we don't have diplomatic relations with iranians, next is crimini. eight days later the iranians shot down ukrainian airliner
9:36 am
coming out of iran. why? we pick up signal they thought we were coming at the supreme leader and took decisive and hard action and broke escalation ladder by going super escalation, that is what they need to do now, send clear and hard question and two f-16s in response is not that message. they need to nip this in the bud and tell the supreme leader clearly, you're on the docket, we're coming after you if neces necessarier necessary. the leader right now ghani, and their foreign minister at the un, right now, you'll be next and if we don't send that message, you don't break the escalation ladder or it will spin out of control thachl is my concern, it will spin out of control and be much more hard to

we did it by killing the commander, soleimani, who was the most charismatic general they ever had. we let everybody know, mike pompeo made everybody know it, russians and iranians and our allies knew about it and it broke the cycle. that is what they need to do and they are not doing it. this will continue to spin, you will see more attacks on service men and welcome and installations. >> kayleigh: thank you. we're seeing barrage of rockets in the sky over israel and gaza. we have not seen anything quite like this before or heard it, for that matter. rocket sirens are sounding near tel aviv. trey yingst is live in southern israel with the latest. trey. >> trey: just a few minutes ago we saw rockets coming off northern part of the gaza strip. i want to show you on my phone
9:39 am
the alerts that came in, these cities had people heading to bomb shelters and the list goes on and on. it is indication hamas and islamic jihad, despite heavy airstrikes you heard in northern part of gaza maintained their capability to fire on major population centers. we asked the defense minister about this earlier today, he did not have a clear answer on why that is the case. we do understand from previous reporting and intelligence officials we've talked to in israel, factions inside gaza around 15,000 rockets, they will eventually run low on supplies. we have seen them reduce fire at night. initial report from israeli military after first few days of conflict and you can hear the israeli fighter jets likely heading to gaza. initial reports were that hamas and islamic jihad reduced fire
9:40 am
to 200 to 400 rockets per day, still enough fire to threaten the borders and there have been infiltration attack in northern and eastern border between israel and gaza and been incredibly difficult for troops and civilians. that was a huge airstrike along the gaza border, shakes the ground here and gives you a sense they are trying to target as many different positions. you see another one in the distance. there is a soldier walking behind me. they are using this hill to scope the area and correct fire, that is how close we are to gaza bringing this story. we've seen images from inside the gaza strip that show the aftermath and the explosions from the inside and it is significant damage being done to the northern part of gaza. remember, last week israelis started to warn -- i am texting
9:41 am
tonight with a civilian inside gaza, he says they can hear the strikes but their location is okay, indicating israelis are focusing on northern part of the strip. >> kayleigh: trey, we saw that flash right when you said there was a strike. our viewers are able to see that as you are speaking. you sent out 9:57 a.m., three hours ago, 9:57 a.m., nonstop strikes against northern gaza, has this been going on for three hours? >> trey: yes, for three hours and as i'm talking to you, we are getting updates and i'm texting people inside gaza to get an idea of what they are seeing. a lot of civilians moved south, took the warnings seriously and given fliers from the air dropped by the israelis and i picked one up and meant to show
9:42 am
you earlier. the fliers have instructions on them telling people where to go. and the wind actually floated one of the fliers here to this location and i wanted to show you earlier. you can actually see this flyer that the israelis tried to drop in gaza, wind took a few over to this location along the border. map of the gaza strip and gaza is 25 miles long and they are calling on all civilians to move to southern part of the strip, this corner here says humanitarian aid zone. and we have not been able to confirm they are delivering aid to that specific location. according to that source inside gaza and writing is in arabic. the sources we're talking to indicate there are not airstrikes south of khan yunis
9:43 am
in middle part of gaza. specific effort to hammer northern part of the strip and soften the target ahead of what is expected to be a ground operation in the coming hours or days, we don't have that information and won't be able to confirm ground operation started until it does. >> emily: trey, it is emily, leaflets call to mind what was dropped in iraq in early 2022. i was just looking at them on friday. after your meeting this morning, you said many things were off the record. you told us about talking points you were able to share. what did that leave you with in terms of feeling, off the record, did you feel confident, more relief? can you describe that in conjunction with what you are now seeing right now? >> trey: look, we're focused on
9:44 am
gathering as many facts from israel and from inside gaza. i think leaving the meeting today with the defense minister, we got a lot of new information and it has been challenging to parse through what we can use, i've been in contact with intelligence sources and defense ministry sources because it is such sensitive information. we didn't just hear from the defense minister, he showed us gruesome, graphic video i had not seen before of october 7 of massacre in southern israel that we've covered extensively, really to explain why this is taking place. we looked at a map, i can describe, i can't show you, it is classified, showing tunnels that the groups inside gaza, hamas and islamic jihad dug beneath critical infrastructure inside gaza and that is one biggest concern, tunnels will be used to ambush troops when they enter. my biggest takeaway was the
9:45 am
concern by highest person in the israeli military, gallant, for his sources. he understands there will be casualties when israelis enter by jihad fighters and hamas. there are thousands throughout the gaza strip, they have tunnels issue ieds, roadside bombs, suicide vests, rpg's they are making inside gaza. we brought that story showing you the images. so -- [sound of explosions] >> trey: i stopped talking so you could hear the explosions, heaviest we have heard since this war began 21 days ago. despite the strikes and significant strikes against gaza, explosions artillery and naval shelling, they have not
9:46 am
been able to stop rocket fire and hundreds of thousands heading to bomb shelters understanding they remain under threat and in gaza palestinian civilians trapped amid the cross fire, complicated environment the israelis are dealing with, fighting war from civilian territory and it will be against an enemy not afraid to die. >> dagen: trey, where you are along the border with gaza, but in israel, have all the israeli civilians in that area, have they completely cleared out? how far inland are they? do you encounter anyone not involved with the military and idf? >> trey: that's a great question. in this area, the town that we're in, i'm being careful with location and names given how sensitive tonight is. only 10% remained a week ago
9:47 am
when we asked a local official about this information. in terms of today, not many shops open, there are a few soldiers around and a few civilians refusing to leave despite closed military zone starting at the edge of the community and going south along the gaza border. few residents watching strikes, many towns near to gaza are ghost towns. there is understanding this is one of the most significant wars israel has faced in history, massacre on october 7 is being described by civilians as the darkest day in israel's history. this is incredibly challenging moment for entire country, facing active war on southern front, you have seen the airstrikes live, rocket fire toward major population centers and the northern front with lebanon and hezbollah, an
9:48 am
