(fisher investments) it's easy to think that all money managers are pretty much the same, but at fisher investments we're clearly different. (other money manager) different how? you sell high commission investment products, right? (fisher investments) nope. fisher avoids them. (other money manager) well, you must earn commissions on trades. (fisher investments) never at fisher investments. (other money manager) ok, then you probably sneak in some hidden and layered fees. (fisher investments) no. we structure our fees so we do better when clients do better. that might be why most of our clients come from other money managers. at fisher investments, we're clearly different. >> dana: fox nulls alert. top members of the biden

administration giving testimony in two separate senate hearings focusing on national an foreign security concerns as the u.s. braces for possible escalation of fighting in the middle east. welcome to "america's newsroom," i'm dana perino. >> john: i'm john roberts. good to spend an hour with you again. threats to the homeland and american interests around the world as fighting intensifies in gaza. the war between israel and hamas a dark cloud hanging over today's senate hearings. >> dana: fox team coverage. trey yengst in southern israel. let's go to the hearing first of all. they are underway. we'll kick it over to secretary of state antony blinken about to give testimony at the senate hearing. protestors are trying to disrupt. the chairman, patty murray, rebuked them and wants the secretary to give some testimony today.
7:02 am
john, they are there because there are many problems in the world. lots of different hot spots. this hearing was prepared to go before the war october 7th but now it has a renewed focus, john. >> john: particularly with all these acts against the u.s. forces. let's listen for a minute here. >> i again ask that those in the audience respect the people in the room and allow us to continue the hearing. the hearing will suspend until the disruption is removed. >> cease-fire now, cease-fire now. cease-fire now. people are not animals. >> thank you, secretary blinken. if you can continue, please. >> i know several committee members have traveled to israel over the last three weeks and heard directly from israeli officials what they need to defend their people and prevent another attack like this one.
7:03 am
that's exactly what the supplemental provides with 3.7 billion for security needs, including to help israel bolster its air and missile defense system. supplemental wants to enhance the security of our embassy. as president biden made clear from the outset while israel has the right and the obligation to defend itself the way it does so matters. in our discussions with the israeli government the president and i have both stressed the need for israel to operate by the -- >> meeting will suspend. [disruptor talking] >> cease-fire now. >> secretary blinken, you may continue. >> i was saying the president and i both stressed in our conversations with the israeli government the need for israel to operate by the law of war and in accordance with international

humanitarian law and take all possible measures to avoid civilian casualties. for ukraine, president biden is requesting 16.3 billion to supply ukraine's defense without which russia will expose any opening and to insure ukraine can sustain the economic base and recovery its war effort depends on. the funding will not only rebuild ukraine's economy and also help to reimagine it. investing in new industry, infrastructure and supply chains connected to europe and the world. secure and resilient clean energy. civil society, media, to be strong enough to deter and defend they need a resilient economy and vibrant democracy within its borders. since russia launched the war it enabled the people of ukraine in their fight to defend their nation. it's helped make sure that russia's invasion is --

[another disrupter shouting] >> committee will suspend. [disrupters shouting] >> dana: john -- >> john: i thought this could go on for maybe half an hour or so but they are standing up en masse now and all get bounced quickly. >> dana: they will. i think they are being super unproductive. they have a right to do it but they'll be escorted out. you would think they want to be quiet and listen to what the secretaries were saying. >> john: i guess they decided to do it at that moment and again the fact that they are all standing up now holding signs and chanting means they will all
7:06 am
get tossed out. >> dana: the other thing is that they are -- they are interrupting the hearing. it will get underway and provide you that information as soon as we can. for the ones sitting, john, that are not standing up disrupting i don't know if they can bounce them. we imagine it will take awhile. after these guys get taken out those guys will stand up after the secretary says five words. >> john: holding up your hands quietly, you are within the rules. >> dana: they also get cameras. another reason they're doing this is because there is news. this is happening so you have photo journalists there taking the pictures and one of the things these protestors want, more photographs of themselves so they can put on social media. >> john: as this is taking place in the senate. at the same time in the house they are undertaking a measure to delink the money for ukraine
7:07 am
from money to israel. mike johnson putting forward a bill for about a little more than $14 billion in direct aid to israel and then leaving the question of aid to ukraine on the sidelines for the moment. blinken and lloyd austin are making the point of this hearing that the two should be linked together as the president has requested, some $109 billion in aid. >> we also have -- do we want to stay here or go to trey? trey yengst is live in southern israel as the hearing tries to get underway. trey yengst has information information from southern israel for us now. hi, trey. >> i want you to look at our shot here. there is a massive air strike that just took place. >> dana: where is that, trey? >> you can see off in the
7:08 am
distance there, dana, that air strike just took place right along the israel/gaza border. we've been watching throughout the day as israeli forces are operating inside gaza. you can see individual soldiers just over the past hour and they were joined by tanks and d-nine bulldozers. it gives you a sense of how they are operating against the hamas militants inside the gaza strip. it is an ongoing battle and we do understand it has been an intense battle. israelis say they have been engaged in a fire fight with hamas overnight and into today. we have information that we can't quite share yet. a lot of sensitive details coming out of what's taking place inside the gaza strip. we have video of the israeli forces operating inside gaza. they are pushing deeper into the strip every day as those air strikes continue. also artillery units remain active along the border. there was one piece of good news overnight amid all of the
7:09 am
conversations here about what is taking place on the ground. that was that a private in the israeli army was rescued by her colleagues inside gaza. they conducted an operation with the help of the israeli intelligent and able to free her from captivity in gaza. israelis say she was taken originally from a base on october 7th and she was freed and is in good condition. she was checked by medics and doctors last night and was able to be reunited with her family. it comes as the israelis are trying to target key hamas leadership. they killed ajina, one of the men responsible for the october 7th massacre overseeing a hamas brig gate that came in and killed so many civilians. the active front gives you a sense of what the israelis are facing. we'll have more information to share about what is going on
7:10 am
inside gaza. this morning i met with israel's defense minister in tel aviv and we talked about the situation. given the sensitivity of what has unfolded over the past several hours we are holding information until we are able to get it cleared and bring it to you. >> dana: can you tell us from what you know how is the israeli cabinet holding together in terms of agreements, disagreements, i'm sure there is lots of tension like there had been before. you start to see a little bit of that and i'm wondering what it means for the war effort. >> it's a great question. a few nights ago israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu took to x and talked about the situation on the ground and sort of pointed the finger at a failure of intelligence from his intelligence chiefs still working in their positions and then deleted the post and basically issued an apology. rare from the prime minister.
7:11 am
but it gave you a sense that there are some disagreements internally. the one thing they all agree upon is this. that is the efforts to destroy hamas inside gaza. and we listened there as you could hear the protestors chanting in washington, and it is interesting, the political echelon here are aware of protests around the world against the jewish state and the actions inside gaza and talked with a few top officials. they raise this one question that's interesting in the context of all this. they ask why are the protestors chanting cease-fire now rather than free the hostages now? their focus is on the 240 people still behind me inside gaza being held by hamas in the tunnels beneath the strip not a cease-fire. they'll continue until they rescue those individuals and destroy hamas. >> dana: what do you think they will be wanting to listen for in this hearing that we're monitoring where secretary antony blinken and lloyd austin
7:12 am
are testifying in front of the senate today? >> they will likely hear more american support and doubling down on what we've seen already. the american military presence in the region should not be understated. and it is part of the deterrence factor in all of this. part of the reason that you are not seeing more direct involvement already by larger iranian proxies like hezbollah. we should note earlier today iranian bank houthi rebels in yemen fired one ballistic missiles and cruise missiles at israel. sirens sounded and the israeli say they used for the first time in 25 days since the war began the arrow missile defense system. the iron dome will intercept rockets but for missiles they have to use the broader system. it's a system more expensive to use, a broader technology, and it is an indication that israel is not just facing threats from
7:13 am
gaza and lebanon but also as we saw earlier today from yemen. >> dana: trey yengst, thank you. stay safe and keep us posted. we'll be back in touch soon. david spunt is live on the hill with a preview of what christopher wray is expected to say in the other important senate hearing this morning. hi, david. >> hi, dana and john. it is a quiet hearing so far. threats to the u.s. homeland. we haven't seen any action like we've seen in the hearing with secretary blink en and secretary austin where protestors are thrown out. this is threats to the homeland from the middle east or we expect to hear threats coming across the southern border into the united states. with respect to the middle east, f.b.i. director christopher wray went inside a few minutes ago. i have excerpts i want to read what he will say. we have said the actions of hamas and allies will serve as an inspiration since isis
7:14 am
launched its caliphate years ago. multiple foreign terrorist organizations have called for attacks against americans in the west. he continued bottom line we'll continue to do everything in our power to protect the american people and support our partners in israel. expect to hear a lot about the southern border. mayokas, the homeland security secretary is also inside along with the director of the national counter terrorism center here in the united states. while blinken and austin those secretaries are focused on what's going on overseas with aid. here this hearing is focusing on potential threats to the u.s. homeland. we'll continue to watch. back to you. >> dana: thank you for that. john, over to you. >> john: joining us now for more on the israel/hamas war we have a columnist for the free press. benjamin netanyahu said this yesterday and the interrapters are trying to say a cease-fire
7:15 am
and united nations for a cease-fire and here is what netanyahu said about the possibility of a cease-fire. >> i want to make clear israel's position providing a cease-fire. just as the united states would not agree to the cease-fire after the bombing of pearl harbor or the terrorist attack of 9/11, israel will not agree to assess sayings of hostilities with hamas after the horrific attacks on october 7th. >> john: israel has been playing a cat and mouse game with hamas since 2007. after what happened on october 7th it was a red line. israel is now saying no more. this time hamas is going down for good. so despite all the calls for a cease-fire netanyahu seems very firm to pursue this. >> that's right. it is a larger issue as you saw in the last report. what are houthi rebels doing sending missiles.
7:16 am
it is part of strategy from iran. it is imperative for the survival of the jewish state to destroy hamas and see to it they can't have a safe haven in the strip of land that borders the jewish state there has to be a larger strategy not just israel to take on what was once referred to as the head of the snake, iran. >> john: what do you do about that? i don't think israel is itching to get involved with a direct conflict with iran. >> we've seen time and again over the last 6 or 7 years that the iranian people despise their leaders. they are the allies of the united states and israel and the civilized world. there has been a strategy to embolden, strengthen and fund to support with iranians in the lead inside the country and an
7:17 am
understanding if you are a hamas leader you shouldn't feel safe wherever you are. if you are a leader of hezbollah you shouldn't feel safe wherever you are and seen as one big war. i think that's the larger strategic point. that's really for the united states to be the heavy lift on that. the u.s. is the leader of the free world not israel. >> john: joe biden won't talk tough about iran. he says don't. don't is something i tell my puppy when he takes socks out of the laundry, not to keep a country mixing it up. >> to be fair he sent the gerald ford and another group that is a message of deterrence to hezbollah. so far they haven't been totally deterred but haven't launched 100,000 missiles at israel. hopefully that stays. the problem you are getting at. right now a lot of short term
7:18 am
thinking about preventing a regional war. there has to be recognition that there is one and israel is the canary in the coal mine. if they think they can preserve the relationship with iran they are deluded and my hope is with the chief envoy now on the outs with this investigation that we'll see hopefully a kind of come to reality moment for the biden administration that they cannot get this deal that obama signed in 2015. >> john: wonder why they keep pursuing that one. >> agreed. >> john: great to talk to you. >> dana: a great guest for us to have. let's go back to the hill. two hearings are happening on the hill and an important meeting at the u.n. earlier today at the senate appropriations committee a few moments ago, protestors decided to disrupt the whole thing. they didn't want to hear from
7:19 am
secretary blinken or secretary austin. let's listen to them here. [disruptors shouting] >> no weapons, no war. no weapons, no war. >> dana: so you get the idea. this went on for quite some time and decided to break away and bring in some important reporting from trey yengst and david spunt. secretary austin is now giving his opening statement. this is a very important hearing about taxpayer dollars and the support of israel. there he is speaking there. we'll bring you more as that happens. also a controversial shelter for hundreds of migrant families with children opening today in a national recreation area in new york city. why local leaders along with the fire department are saying it's
7:20 am
not safe. >> john: house republicans are pushing a $14 billion aid package for israel. senate democrats and white house are fighting against that plan calling the bill a non-starter. >> if hamas hadn't attacked israel israel wouldn't be fighting back. this is israel versus extinction, not just israel versus hamas. we've been granted automatic authority by the va to make our own loan approval decisions. in fact, if you've had credit challenges and missed a payment along the way, you're more than five times more likely to get approved for the newday 100 va cash out loan. no one knows veterans like newday usa. this is spring semester at over 13,000 us school districts, which have become top targets for ransomware attacks. but there's never been a reported ransomware attack

>> john: taking place on capitol hill now we're monitoring it on the left we have the defense secretary lloyd austin testifying about the need for an increased supplemental spending for ukraine and israel. and then on the right-hand side of the screen we have christopher wray the f.b.i. director going after iran moments ago noting it is a leading state sponsor of terror

in the world. mayokas, the dhs secretary just before him in which he noted a rise in ant semitism across the united states as well as increased threats toward muslims and arab americans. we'll continue to monitor these hearings, dana. if we get real news we will bring it to you. >> dana: indeed. >> israel aid package, stand alone israel aid, the reporting is that there will be a vote hopefully thursday. is that the timeline? >> i hope thursday. republican conference is 100% united. i hope democrats will be as well. >> dana: that was mike johnson on house republicans new 14.3 billion aid package for israel drawing criticism from some democrats for cutting i.r.s. funding to get to that number. michigan senate candidate mike rogers joins us now. you decided to jump back into the fray. here we are. debbie waser man schultz is

someone you knew well. support for defending israel should not come with conditions. or off setting aid in a crucial time of need. i'm disturbed by johnson playing with israeli emergency funding. >> if you think about what president biden has done in his presidency he will increase the debt by $7 trillion. so if you look at the end of the decade, that's a 1.4 trillion interest payment on the debt which means that's a much larger than our department of defense. listen, i think aid has to happen for israel, has to get done. but you have to start having the conversation, the hard conversation that spending has consequences. i think that the speaker will get the aid done and then start focusing on the fact that we cannot continue to borrow, spend, and grow government at a time when that inflation causes

is coming out of people's paychecks at home. >> dana: karine jean-pierre said there is a strong bipartisan agreement in our direct national security interest to help ukraine defend its sovereignty and strong bipartisan support for investing more in border security threatening to undermine american national security unless republicans can help corporations cheat on their taxes. that's the definition of going backwards. trying to put a lot there into one statement. but i wanted to get your take on that because are you for ukraine support as well? >> i do think we need to not pull away from ukraine. we need to support ukraine. i do think it's important to ask the administration to come up and say how are we spending the money, number one. they haven't done that. what is an endgame look like? what is the eventual outcome and the exit and the strategy? they haven't done any of that. this is an important thing to focus the administration on
7:29 am
convincing americans why it is important. they haven't done it. which is why they want to tie it to israeli aid. i think the aid will get done to israel. i think eventually ukraine will get done. these are important conversations. you can't always just say we have to just spend the money and worry about it later. we're 7 trillion into this. that's later. >> dana: there is also this on capitol hill you see secretary blinken speak now but homeland security mayokas will be on the hill today. you mentioned border securing, karine jean-pierre did. fiscal year 23, 169 people arrested on the terror watch list. you are the former intel chairman. how concerned are you about that? >> and former f.b.i. agent and served in the military. there is no southern border at this rate. there is also something in that figure that gets lost. something about 1.7 million gotaways. if you are on the terrorist watch list or iranian trained to do bad things, your goal is not
7:30 am
to get caught. that means in that 1.7, if you extrapolate the data of the terrorist watch list people the border patrol caught. that tells you there are a lot more on the list we don't understand who they are, where they are and what they're doing in the united states. this is dangerous. >> dana: they said iran is the biggest state sponsor of terror in the world. should we worry about hezbollah agents and iranian agents here? >> yes. i don't think it's a coincidence. we shouldn't take a chance. we don't have to take the chance. there should be law and order on the border to prevent people to come in fro fer the country we don't know who they are or what their intentions are. >> dana: mike rogers, i am sure we'll see you again. >> john: always good to see mike. null released border patrol data shows more than 2 million crossed the border illegally in physical year 23 and 900,000 migrants were released into the

u.s. in that same time period including more than 150,000 in september alone. fox business's madison allworth in brooklyn. >> these folks have to go somewhere. many of theme winding up in the u.s. cities including in new york. all the way out to floyd bennett field. a federal space now home to 500 migrant families. that's around 2,000 asylum seekers. we're hearing in the tents behind me where they will be housed 60 day limits on housing. something that the city is increasingly doing because they say the migrant population is unsustainable. they've been handing out 60 day notices and numbers around how many have been distributed. 13,500 migrants have got 60 day
7:32 am
vacate notices. the problem is, even when they get those notices, it doesn't necessarily stick. they are able to come back and ask for an extension. just under half, 6,572 migrants have gone back and gotten an additional 30-day extension on their stay. of course, part of the problem here is that new york city is a sanctuary city. so they run into issues when it comes to denying housing. space is running out. that's why more options like those notices are being considered including options like tents. when asked if the city is considering handing out tents to migrants, new york mayor's office responded by saying all options are on the table. the mayor's office is also offering one-way flights to any destination of a migrant's choosing. a move that other cities and states have taken that they have previously been critical of. in a statement the mayor's office says with no sign of a decompression strategy in the

near future, we have established a reticketing center for migrants. here the city will redouble efforts to purchase tickets for migrants to take the next step in their journey and helps us triage for new arrivals. while more people pour in, more shelters open up. at floyd bennett field it will be loaned out by the field. the shelter run by the city and paid for by new york states. critics have been focused on this location for a number of concerns. concerns around flooding and fire concerns based off the infrastructure here. but the city, the state say they are running out of options. still finishing up work here. it will be open this week and expect migrants move in at any point now. >> bill: madison, thank you. >> dana: john, jewish students at some of the most prestigious

universities in the country now don't feel safe or welcome. this comes as a wave of anti-semitism is sweeping college campuses including cornell university where the f.b.i. is now investigating a series of threats there. griff jenkins is in washington with more on this. >> good morning. college campuses across the country but as you mentioned at elite ivy league schools like cornell, yale, columbia, harvard became hot beds for anti-semitism. kathy hochul went to cornell to assure frightened students as police and f.b.i. are investigating threats at cornell calling for jews to slit student's throats. hochul had this message id. >> if you will engage in these harmful actions, hate crimes, breaking our laws, you will be caught and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
7:35 am
>> at yale, they removed sections of text over unsubstantiated claims that hamas rapes women and beheads men. this is creating fear among jewish students like the young woman you had on in the last hour. >> social media is at least one of the reasons if not the sole reason for why we're seeing what we're seeing. this is what happens when you get your education and information on instagram and tiktok. when we don't get educated we become susceptible to infiltration and i have heard people use the word brainwash. >> this has become so prevalent they are denouncing anti-semitism. karine jean-pierre spoke to cornell students saying they're monitoring the threat there. the white house grouping the anti-semitism threat together with islamaphobia. some see it as diluting the
7:36 am
threat to jewish americans. governor hochul is addressing new yorkers today and see what she has to say about this crisis. >> dana: paying attention with interest. thank you, griff. >> john: let's bring in jeremy and molly from cornell university and they join us now. this situation at cornell with these threats that were written on this online forum are particularly heinous. help us to walk in your shoes, jeremy and molly. what is life like at the jewish center at cornell right now? >> yeah, students -- thank you for having us. we really appreciate taking the time to talk to us. students are absolutely terrified to see a threat specifically calling out the two buildings where jews live or our community. it is terrifying. students are afraid to walk around campus. afraid to go about their daily
7:37 am
lives. it is terrifying to be here. >> john: molly, what's it like for you? >> have to echo what jeremy said. the governor came yesterday to assure us we were okay. the campus president came and said police are there. with police it's still frightening. we're trying to go about our daily lives and continue to be proud and stay strong as our jewish selves but it is scary. >> john: the cornell professor who said the attacks of october 7th were exhilarating. he is on a leave of absence is my understanding. you mentioned the governor. here is what she said yesterday. >> no one should be afraid to walk from their dorm or their dining hall to a classroom. when speech crosses to hate speech and hate crimes that's when we have to make sure students know we will step up
7:38 am
and protect them. >> john: this is not some back woods campus. this is an ivy league school where this is happening. >> yeah, it is crazy to me that such a place like cornell to have something like this, have professors employed by cornell to say the murder of jews is exhilarating has no context or justification. it is shocking to me to see. i never thought it could happen in my own school and episcopal lay school like this. >> john: you mentioned the college president said the destructiveness of anti-semitism is real and impacting jewish faculty and staff and entire cornell community. this incident highlights the need to combat the forces dividing us and driving us toward hate. this cannot be what defines us at cornell. yet we have a list of colleges and universities across the
7:39 am
country where this is being tolerated. what do you say to presidents at those universities? >> that tolerating such hate and discrimination against jewish people is a direct violation of free speech and freedom of expression and students should be able to walk around campus and talk about their opinions and should not be able to hurt other people and prevent them from living their lives and getting an education which is one of our rights in this country. >> john: we see a crawl of all of those universities in which the anti-israeli, anti-semitic protests are taking place. then there was this situation in russia over the weekend at an airport where people rushed the terminal and even the tarmac trying to get at people who they believed had just landed on a flight from tel aviv. i want to put this out, too. protests at colleges across the country as well ostensibly in
7:40 am
support of the palestinian people but anti-israeli and anti-semitic and some people have said this is beginning to look like 1938 all over again. what do you say? >> yeah, i remember when i was in elementary school i asked my teacher about something about the holocaust, could it ever happen again? she told me i guarantee you, i promise you, nothing like this can ever happen. i always thought it was true. what we're starting to see today and ever since october 7th is that might not be a guarantee anymore. what we're seeing is terrifying and reminiscent to just some of the most terrible times in jewish history. >> john: molly, has your sense of safety in america been shattered? >> i don't want to say all my hopes are gone. i want to believe in my country and my safety.
7:41 am
i know the american government and the governments across the world are trying to protect the jewish people. we all want peace and want the violence to end. >> john: thank you for joining us and explaining to us what's going on in your lives. appreciate it. >> dana: speaking now christopher wray, the f.b.i. director talking about the threat from iran at the senate homeland security committee hearing. let's listen in. >> as the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism, the iranians, for instance, have directly or by hiring criminals, mounted assassination attempts against dissidents and high-ranking current and former u.s. government officials, including right here on american soil. >> dana: interesting, john. that hearing is happening at the homeland security committee hearing. then the appropriations committee where blinken and austin are giving testimony. i would love to combine the hearings and say then, sirs, to
7:42 am
what end what are you going to do about it, if anything? >> john: they want money for ukraine and that's the case that blinken and austin are making. but we see mike johnson, the new speaker of the house trying to delink it and say the more urgent need is for israel right now. they try to do a stand alone bill in the house for $14 billion. it likely won't fly in the senate but highlights the idea if you try to support israel in the life and death struggle against hamas, then the house bill may be the way to go. ukraine will be there. it hasn't moved in a year and a half very much. but israel right now is in the fight of its life. >> dana: we'll see. these hearings are happening simultaneously on capitol hill and following them for you. the u.n. general assembly meeting is happening today after israel's ambassador wore a yellow star as the u.n. has yet to condemn hamas's terror

capitol hill in congress today were initially upended from protestors calling for a cease-fire. what would you like to say to those protestors who are now cooling their jets outside of the hearing room once they got bounced out of there? >> basically i'm saying that there are two goals to this war. one, that hamas will be destroyed and never, never again will be able to do the massacre, the killing, the raping, the beheading of children that they have done on the 7th of october. this goal was not achieved yet. second, there are 200, maybe more, maybe 240 israelis and foreign people that were kidnapped from israel to gaza. anybody who wants to see the

for years, israel claimed that we can protect israel by our own. we don't want anybody to shed blood for us. and in gaza, of course, israel will do what it should do. they are listening very carefully to our allies, our biggest ally, sometimes only ally, and the u.s. and israel are sharing the same goal, to destroy this terror organization very much as isis was destroyed in iraq and syria, very much like the nazi germany was destroyed. we share this goal because hamas not only is a terror organization that can do and repeat the 7th of october massacre, but it is also an obstacle to peace. there will be no peace if hamas

will lead the palestinian people. so we share the same goal. however, the militants have some caveats how israel is operating not in gaza. the u.s. tried very much that we not escalate the war between hezbollah and iran. the two entities will be deterred. in gaza, the americans are asking that israel will conduct the war according to the international law with minimum collateral damage and try to avoid a humanitarian crisis. but i reiterate that humanitarian problem number one in gaza is the fact that they are holding civilians, 600 americans that want to go out from gaza. he holds them. this is the humanitarian case as much as what is happening in

their financial backers like iran and russia, these fights are the same fight and will have to be won together. interestingly, john, up until now the state department has been insisting that all the aid sent into gaza has reached its intended recipients, civilians who live there. blinken and state department officials are saying none of it has been divert evidence by hamas or stolen by hamas. blinken just revealed he doesn't think it will last. take a listen. >> can i promise you and this committee there will be 100% delivery to the designated recipients? no, there will be some spillage. we haven't seen it to date. i think we have to anticipate that. but the overwhelming majority of the assistance thus far is getting to people who need it and we need more. >> there is daylight, john, between what state has been saying until now and what

outside of the united nations. hi, eric. >> hello. very strong words from the ambassador. the united nations was founded in the after math of world war ii and the holocaust to prevent future atrocities. today it is being shamed because the building behind me, the diplomats cannot even denounce, criticize or condemn the terrorists of hamas. you saw he wore the yellow star at the emergency security council meeting. the star and that symbol echoing what the nazis forced the jews to do and wear in germany to protest the united nations -- they called for a cease-fire and the critics point out that resolution did not condemn hamas, did not call for protecting the hostages and did not even criticize any of these terrorist activities. this has prompted the czech
