>> harris: the fbi director issued a stark new warning about the elevated threat of terror attack against the united states. israel's war against hamas terrorists is raging on. and so much is happening as a result in even this country. during congressional testimony, wray revealed palestinian terror groups attack that saw 1400 israelis murdered, slaughtered, raped, tortured could be seen as inspiration for lone wolf copycat attacks right here in the usa this is "outnumbered," i'm harris faulkner. here with my co-host, kayleigh mcenany and emily compagno. "fox and friends first" co-host carley shimkus and fox contributor dr. marc siegel. here is the fbi director's warning. >> the reality is that the
9:02 am
terrorism threat has been elevated throughout 2023 but the ongoing war in middle east raised threat of attack against americans in the united states to a whole other level. since the horrific terrorist attacks committed by hamas against innocent people in israel, we've been working around the clock to support partners there and to protect americans here at home. we assess that the actions of hamas will serve as inspiration the likes of which we haven't seen since isis launched caliphate several years ago. in past few weeks, multiple terrorist organizations called for attacks against americans in the west. al qaeda issued specific call to attack the united states in the last five years. isis urged its followers to
9:03 am
target jewish communities in the united states and europe. hezbollah publicly expressed support for hamas and threatened to attack u.s. interest in the middle east. and we've seen increase in attack on u.s. military bases overseas carried out by militia groups backed by iran. >> harris: we learned last hour that the first time iraq troops have been hit our men and women in the field was 900 days before the recent attacks. 25 attacks on our men and women in the field in the middle east. that is what they are worried about. they are deployed and fighting this. what will it be like here with an open border? welcome, everybody. dr. marc siegel, your reaction? >> dr. siegel: what will it be
9:04 am
like with an open border? fbi director did not mention people coming across the southern border and what will stop hamas rearing its head again, isis? after 9/11 issue president bush said we have to get terrorists over there before we come over here and two wars started, a lot of people were critical of the president. that is being looing good, we established presence in the middle east for which we can root out terrorists. we have no control whatsoever. now on our soil, united nations refusing to condemn hamas attack, not just targeting jews, targeting military and running amuck and that will lead to attacks here in the u.s. >> harris: it is interesting, 139 of the 193 un nations and carley is nodding with me, sided with the pro-palestinian, the
9:05 am
united states does not recognize palestine as a nation state. >> carley: yeah, and the united states did not vote to support that and i believe just 13 other countries, some small, some major countries like uk abstained on that. the un is a whole other issue entirely and people are calling to defund the un, i don't like funding of many things, i do not see a purpose of the united nations anymore. what christopher wray just said and he said it in a matter of fact way, some may have miss the gravity, just to quote, we assess actions of hamas and allies will serve as inspiration the likes of which we have not seen since isis launched caliphate several years ago. brings us back to withdrawal
9:06 am
from afghanistan and having a smaller military presence in the region. now we have to use this in heightened terrorist situation when it would be beneficial to have people on the ground collecting intel. the other thing, what the pentagon announced, cutting back on special operations, green berets because they were transitioning from focusing on middle east to china. this situation is at play, maybe they'll change their minds, i hope they do. >> harris: i got to tell you, kayleigh, if the president gets his hand on other part of the world like with china and middle east and afghanistan and russia and ukraine, if he starts a minor incursion over there, we're going to be in a bigger world of hurt and as carley is pointing out, do we have the kind of apparatus, the ilmarry that can do these things and keep threats at bay at home? >> kaylee: no, we don't have will dming from commander-in-chief.
9:07 am
what scary times. we remember post-9/11 world and you worried about a lone wolf attack and saw it play out for years and isis came about and then about 2016, president trump comes in and what happens? isis decimated. he took out guy named al-bhadadi. and they lost their territory. isis holding territory trying to wage attack on the united states. you heard wray say iran proxies pose threat to the united states. when we were not giving them 6 million, their proxies were not popping off. i hope in addition to -- speaker johnson said there will be vote on bill to reinforce iran sanctions and what a difference that would make. that vote could take place this
9:08 am
week. >> harris: allowing them to sell munition, including killer drones to anybody and more specificity coming from gaza, they are reaching cities and so would that be part of what iran was able to put back on the market? your dynamic interview with brand new speaker is coming up, tell us more about this. emily, fbi director christopher wray, dr. marc siegel, you had not heard him talk about possibility that hamas and other terrorists could exploit and call out their supporters to conduct attacks on our own soil. let's watch a little from wray and go to emily. >> in the united states, our immediate concern is violent extremists, individuals or small groups draw inspiration from events in middle east to carry out attack against americans going about their daily lives, that includes home-grown violent
9:09 am
extremist by foreign terrorist organization and targeting jewish or muslim communities on top of home-grown violent extremist threat, we cannot and do not discount that hamas may exploit current conflict and conduct attacks here on our own soil. >> emily: that is one takeaway every american should be focusing on right now, the whole point of this conversation at this moment, director of the fbi most immediate concern is that violent extremists, individuals or small groups will draw inspiration from the atrocity and violence to carry out attack on americans going about their daily lives. that is their immediate concern. it is not climate change. it's not homegrown extremist
9:10 am
ranting and raving about catholic churches. it is not parents, it is threat of what is going on in middle east bleeding over into here. i think it bears worth repeating that as he pointed out we have seen these types of attempts, there was individual arrested last week studying how to build bombs, he posted support for killing jews. there was tragic killing of six-year-old muslim boy and he repeated himself today and said we cannot and do not discount hamas or other terrorist organization may conduct attacks on current soil and said violent extremists, terrorists and hamas itself coming over probably southern border, worst thing we can do is pretend this is limited conflict or listen to elected leaders who say it contained geo graphically when you heard it first on testimony in capitol hill that our fbi is
9:11 am
most worried about most concerned about safety of americans. if you see something, say something. and you need to put a stop to anything fo menting because words matter, especially online that garner support for people building bombs in their basements. >> harris: i have 100 professors i want you to call and say that to. they are on the campus of yale and need to hear what we're talking about today. >> marc: and cornell. >> harris: most expensive campuses in america. >> dr. siegel: jews are not allowed to eat together at cornell. they have their finger on terrorist groups. >> harris: let's get to breaking news, trey yingst in southern israel now. trey, take it away. >> trey: yeah, guys good afternoon, fox news learned that two israeli soldiers were killed today inside gaza during battles
9:12 am
with hamas militants. two other israeli soldiers were wounded. we've been unable to report it, military needed to inform the families of the two soldiers. we have the names, staff sergeant roy wolf, 20-year-old and staff sergeant, a 20-year-old. both were in the givati brigade engaged by hamas militants and killed in that battle. two other soldiers were injured. today has been a difficult day as they push deeper into the gaza strip. we could see as they were operating just outside of a tank and armored d-9 bulldozer, israelis are being ambushed by jihad fighters inside. we've seen video published by hamas showing ambushes, incredibly difficult environment for israelis to be operating in,
9:13 am
they are pushing forward and facing resistance by fighters inside gaza. there have been a number of gun battles taking place and israelis say they will continue these operations. one piece of good news,a midthis horrific story yesterday when israelis were able to rescue a soldier issue private taken to gaza by hamas on october 7 and rescued as part of operation conducted by the israeli army and intelligence shinbet. she is now reunited with her family in southern israel. fox news has learned two israeli soldiers were killed today in battles behind me in the gaza strip. back to you. >> harris: trey, this is something that we were warned about, how hard this fight was going to be and would be like hard fighting days the united states faced in fallujah, able to get some civilians out of the
9:14 am
way to take on 3000 of the enemy. numbers are much bigger now, more people to move and you see more hamas than you did the enemy in fallujah. how much is hand to hand combat already? you are saying outside the tanks and bulldozers. >> trey: yeah, great question, two million palestinian civilians inside gaza. majority moved south and many in gaza city and area israelis looking to cut off. without getting too into details, i met with israel defense minister in tel aviv and talked about this issue. i will say israelis understand there will be a price to pay in this operation, but they are determined to defeat hamas and pay that price because of the massacre that took place on october 7 and understand intense conditions they will face and trying to draw on lessons of the united states from places like

fallujah or went into mosul and defeated isis. up against tunnel and urban environments. they will face rpg's produced inside gaza. it is part of the reason they are preparing israelis for weeks and months of fighting. >> harris: citizens and israeli all serve and some ages are very young, reminiscent to when america fought abroad, vietnam, 18, 19, 20, the two soldiers killed today, 20 years old. trey yingst, thank you. we are awaiting white house press briefing expected to begin within the next hour. strategic coordinator john kirby is set to join white house press secretary karine jean-pierre at the lectern and will likely get questions about director kristi
