10:09 am
>> it's always good to have an art historian around. but no, the building originally was a british barracks during the protectorate, it was in the 1990s and up to their standards, and one of the most well maintained building, and not just shifa, but the schools where hamas parks the missiles, fighters embedded in them, and that's how they try to protect their operations and i guess that's what israel has decided enough is enough and even though it's a hospital, they are going to take out what they can. >> john: when it was built as a barracks and upgraded by the israelis, how extensive was the underground portion of it. >> i think it was normal, a normal basement, yeah, obviously for a hospital of that scale it's going to be large. but what appears to have happened is that hamas has dug different levels of tunnel, not just one level.

p.r. campaign that hamas is waging that israel is attacking what should be an out of bounds target. >> no, absolutely. and israel knows perfectly well that this public relations war will be waged against them, this is what hamas has done historically, and so they have developed extraordinary procedures going back to 2014 again, the after action reports that we sent our generals over to critique them for their behavior, and our generals came back and basically said we could learn from the israelis. so they know, they don't want any harm to come to these people. they tried to deliver fuel to the hospital, hamas refused it. they are the ones who are holding the people of gaza at risk. >> john: i want to ask you quick about this new report that came out of reuters that said iran's supreme leader delivered a clear message to the head of hamas when they met in tehran in early november, you gave us no warning of your october 7th attack on israel and we will not enter the war on your behalf.

be what we have been told a lengthy meeting, addresses a number of issues, that's a good sign. there is enough chaos in the world, whether it's russia and ukraine, happening in the middle east, that we need this relationship to be on a calmer, much more normal footing. if they resume military to military communications links, for example, that's a good thing. we don't need miscommunications happening with the chinese over issues like taiwan. i do hope we get something on fentanyl, i think we will, byron is right, we need to make sure the chinese implement that, that's the goal here. but i also think the biden team will press china on the relationship with iran, to maybe use the relationship to pressure iran not to have their proxies, you know, start a wider conflict in the middle east and also press china on their relationship with russia. so a lot of business to get done. these are highly scripted meetings. i don't expect any big announcements but it's important they are sitting down for a

trump. that is the atmosphere in which a third party candidacy can flourish. robert f. kennedy, jr. doing well in three-way polls, even cornell west is pulling a bit of support. this drives the white house crazy because they think all of these things tend to make it harder for president biden to get re-elected. the simple situation, the number of voters double haters, they don't like biden, don't like trump, makes a third party really appealing. >> sandra: marie, said anything i will do to help the country, in response to a challenge whether he was considering this, he said every american should consider if they are in position to save the country, i'm going to do everything in my power to make sure to mobilize the moderate sensible common sense middle. so, is he the guy to do that, marie? >> well, i would argue that joe biden is actually a pretty moderate guy. he's giving more funding to
