millions in the region under communication blackout with no internet or phone service. trey yingst is live in southern israel for us. what is the latest from there, trey? >> hey, sandra, good afternoon. israeli forces continued to operate inside gaza city, specifically at the al-shifa hospital, released new video today of what they say is part of a tunnel network beneath gaza. and it is critical to note here, this is the only video they have released of tunnels so far. they say there is a larger complex that will be revealed but we have not yet seen any further evidence to support those claims. and released video showing weapons they say were recovered at shifa hospital. earlier this week we were with the israelis less than 24 hours after they conducted their initial raid at the hospital compound inside an mri room. they showed us what they say are weapons that were stashed by hamas. no way to independently verify if, when, how, and where they

were found but the israelis say they were found in the hospital. we did pose this question to hamas, a senior official sending a text denying any weapons were stored in the hospital and comes as israeli forces go through buildings as there are still patients being treated there. they overnight found the bodies of two hostages that were dragged into gaza during the massacre on october 7, 1 a woman from a small community that sits near the gaza border in her mid 60s, she was a cancer patient, and she was slaughtered. her body recovered by the israelis, additionally, a 19-year-old israeli soldier that according to hamas was killed in an israeli airstrike. i'm going to toss back to you. we understand you have breaking news here. >> sandra: we do, thank you. back to you shortly. president biden now in the bilat with the mexican leader. let's listen. >> heart of the los angeles declaration of migration and protection, and we and 19 other

whether or not they are using the tunnel or bug out somewhere else. >> i think it's likely they do for some strategic purpose, but remember, hamas is not new to this fight. they are not the real freedom fighters people think they are. they move from a place that's a strategic advantage to another. so they are quick to adapt like wolves to move from one region to another. i would not be surprised if the command center and other posts have been moved to adjacent areas in the city. >> john: so israel is setting sights on the southern part of invasion, gallant says it will include the north and the south. leaflets were dropped over khan younis, and said for your safety you need to evacuate your places of residence immediately and head to known shelters. anyone near terrorists or their facilities puts their life at risk and every house used by terrorists will be targeted. when do you think israel moves

the ground operation to the southern part of gaza? >> that's a difficult balance. obviously every piece of territory you have to hold and retain all the infrastructure supply, resupply, along those lines. parts of southern gaza you have to use tanks and aviation support while keeping the systems in place is not easy. keeping refuel, water, food for troops is not a simple task. so, what i project right now, because of the northern command being very active and alert, is that they are not trying to get in too far without basically spreading their forces thin. so, once they fully mitigate aspects of northern gaza, they will migrate down. i would expect they are already probing now, even though we don't see it on the news, my imagination would be they have individuals in a more clandestine manner, looking for points to access the southern aspect of gaza, so as when they bring the calvary, so to speak with the tanks and large vehicles they know exactly how
