fully implemented work to extend the deal as well. for weeks i've been advocating for a pause in the fighting for two purposes. to increase the assistance who need help to facilitate release of hostages. we know that innocent children and gaza are suffering greatly as well because this war that hamas has released has consequences. thousands have been killed from the earliest days of this crisis i have worked close to the president of egypt, king abdul of jordan and leaders to expand the manager and assistant to help innocent palestinians in need. were not part of hamas. what are the still fighting in gaza it's been pause for three days. over that time 58 hostages have been released including a tie, a filipino and a russian nationalist. dozens of families have been

reunited. we worked urgently, urgently to take advantage of the pause. two surge a's aid into gaza. we moved approximate 200 aid trucks into gaza each day. with the food, water, medicine, fuel, and cooking gas. more is needed. isees life saving results. and hostages are coming out. they're still structured so that can be extended to keep building on these results. that is my goal, that is our goal to keep the pause going beyond tomorrow so we can continue to see more hostages come out and search more humanitarian relief and to those in gaza. we see this as a date by day approach hour by hour approached raid nothing is guaranteed and nothing is been taken for granted. the proof that this is working and worth pursuing further is in every smile, every grateful tear we see on the faces of those families who are finally getting back together again.

the proof is little abigail. more than 20 other children 18 years and younger have been released they were released through this deal as well print they have endured a terrible ordeal they can now begin a long journey toward a great healing. going to continue working with the mayor of qatar, the president of egypt and prime minister netanyahu to do everything possible to seat the hostages are freed, all of them. i am grateful for the personal partnership because we reviewed this deal from each of those we mention. as we work together you see all of this implemented and now to try to extend it further. i will continue work with all of our partners to take the hard but necessary steps to build an integrated and more prosperous and peaceful future in the region. a two state solution is the only way to guarantee long-term security of israelis and palestinian people.

so just coming out. this is a win for all parties involved. we have a one more day of what we are told would be a four-day cease-fire. one more day for hostages to be or be released. president biden we just heard sounds very, very eager to push beyond those four days he may be i the call right out prime ministers netanyahu he said his went to make it momentarily in his words. how much pressure is the seat putting on to continue the cease-fire? >> a lot of pressure on netanyahu for the international community is putting a lot of pressure on netanyahu. one thing to think about that pressure is going to increase. and then you are going to see sustained pressure before a

that's as we have worked together to see all of this implemented. and now to try to extend it further. i will continue to work with all of our partners to take the hard but necessary steps to build integrated and more prosperous and more peaceful of the region. a two state solution is the only way to guarantee long-term security of both israelis and palestinian people. to make sure they live in equal measure of freedom and dignity. we will not give up on working toward that goal. arthel: do you think, congressman, the president can convince the prime minister to implement this plan as soon as possible? >> look, if you actually get extending the cease-fire that's exactly what hamas wants. all of the hostages. no, i'm not in favor w what the prez is trying to do.

a two state solution is what the palestinians are looking for. the hamas is getting what they want out of this terrorist attack. they took on october 7. the president again in june when ourwhatour president does and sg weakness. the only way you're going to get long lasting peace in the middle east especially in israel is with the destruction of hamas. hamas is letting hostages go a little bit at a time so they can extend the cease-fire. you eventually have a permit cease-fire will they stay in control of gaza. that will lead to more violence not less violence. the only way it is destroying hamas, the president seems to indicate he is okay with having hamas as part of the solution. a two state solution. where there is again that is exactly what they're looking

for. you are now rewarding bad behavior. arthel: part of their devious plot there. do you think israel should resume its defensive war on hamas and gaza? and if so how soon? >> look that is up to your previous guests said, the colonel'colonel is absolute rig. the israelis place a really high regard f for the hostages and rightly so. hamas is doing exactly what they want to do. they are executing their plan. they go to great lengths. that is what they are counting on hopefully drag it on long enough the international community including america they the cease-fire for you might as well be permanent. it continues to exist but this is part of hamas plan.

i am not sure i would go there i think hamas needs to be destroyed your graces again, vo, again, again, and again. the only it would have lasting pieces with the destruction and annihilation of hamas. now i understand that. arthel: let me ask you sir, if i may be because hamas is going to continue to use these remaining 200 or so hostages that are still in gaza. there want to parse them out a couple days at a time. what you do then? i hear what you're saying that t is exactly their devious plan, their diabolical plan for what you do? do you say okay were not going to the rest of the hostages that were going to resume fighting and annihilate hamas. take it all out and that is the answer what is the answer? >> try to get all the hostages out but in the end the hostages are gone and you've got them you resume your operations for that is easier said than done.
