little upper cut. i have done that before to a dog that charged me. i just wasn't thinking quickly enough. chuck from atkinson, new hampshire. you know, if you return those bags they give you your money back. are you sure about that? is that the policy? john, from mountain center, california, you shouldn't use an automatic car wash. it's destructive to the clear coat. have johnny wash your car. johnny doesn't even wash my dishes. i think he throws away the dishes. mario from boston, massachusetts, do you think the bidens pay tax when is they play monopoly? the hunter's rules. melissa from collins, texas, there is no way you're 45. it's the make-up, babe. that's all for the tonight. this is "my world."

>> sean: welcome to hannity. buckle up. desantis will square off against governor gavin newsom for what we're calling a red state-blue state debate moderated by yours truly. whatever you think about newsom, you will hear a far more coherent individual than let's say the guy that's living at 1600 pennsylvania avenue, but it will be a fun debate. hope you will join us thursday night from georgia. today a very confused, con founded joe biden, telling voters that the economy is doing great despite how all of us feel and see every single day. telling us prices are down. americans have more money in their pockets, none of which is true. coming up, we'll break down the latest dismal economic numbers and we'll give you the truth including what's sharp spike in the cost of food. plus more bad polls for joe biden and more panic among

democrats and media mob. breaking the cease-fire in gaza has been extended for two more days after 11 more hostages were freed. the fourth hostage release. so far ham 345s has returned 69 of the roughly 2 -- hamas has returned 69 of the roughly 240 people from israel. in exchange israel has released a whopping 117 palestinians that were actually in prison including activities and violent criminals. one such terrorist who was severely disfigured after detonating a car bomb at a checkpoint, was actually given a hero's welcome upon her return. another terrorist was serving a 13-year prison sentence for attempting to stab israelis during an attack conducted alongside her cousin in. contrast, hamas use women, young children, toddlers, who they add ducted from their homes after murdering in many cases, their parents, right in front of them. dozens of women and children were spelled in squall lar conditions in gaza for seven weeks. food we now know was limited.
6:03 pm
plastic chairs were used as beds. hostages were denied use of bathrooms for hours on end. many of the hostages lost a considerable amount of weight a some were held in complete darkness for over a month. during their release hamas forced their captainives to hold their hands and they demanded they politely wave goodbye as they were whisked away to freedom by the red cross. hamas killed some of their parents. a few weeks ago they are forcing these kids to smile, hold hands, and wave goodbye to their captors. it's evil, ugly, twisted, repu repulsive, but last week, one reporter said. watch this. >> he made the comparison between the 50 hostages that hamas has promised to release as
6:04 pm
opposed to 150 prisoners that israel has said that it will release and he made the comparison between the numbers and the fact that, does israel not think that palestinian lives are valued as highly as israeli lives? >> that's an astonishing accusation. if we could release one prisoner for every one hostage we would obviously do that. we're operating in horrific circumstances. we're not choosing to release these prisoners who have blood on their hands. we're talking about people who have been convicted of stabbing and shooting attacks. >> sean: what a disgusting question. not surprising, sadly, of course, this was not a fair trade. for example, on one side you have the release of two, what, innocent three-year-old twins from israel. on the other you have two palestinian terrorists who tried to kill innocent people. any of that seem fair to you? but in all of his infinite wisdom your president joe biden knows exactly why hamas took hostages and murdered close to
6:05 pm
1,400 innocent people on october 7, hamas was just trying to disrupt biden's achievements in the middle east. what achievements. take a look. >> there was an overwhelming desire on the part of the region to, let me back up, i can't prove what i'm about to say but i believe one of the reasons why hamas struck when they did was they knew that i was working very closely with the saudis and others in the region to bring peace to the region by having recognition of israel and israel's right to exist. >> sean: but here's the truth. the evil ignorant terrorists of hamas, they hate israel. they hate jews. they want to wipe israel off the map. period. it's in their charter. that's what they say and demonstrated. because joe biden freed up $50 billion who back hamas and all these other terror groups
6:06 pm
financially an militarily the terrorists had plenty of resources to carry out this massive attack. america and the world is less and less peaceful with biden in charge. as former defense secretary robert gates famously warned, biden always seems to make the wrong foreign policy decisions. he has throughout his career. and now amid rampant anti-semitism biden is reportedly now apologizing to muslim american leaders for questioning death toll numbers provided by the terror group hamas. that's about as weak and pathetic excuse for an american president as i have seen in my lifetime and a guy constantly getting bullied at home and abroad and seems to do nothing about it. for example, look at the middle east. american soldiers, they have been attacked a whopping 73 times since october 17, with little response from the administration outside of a few targeted strikes like at empty warehouses in remote locations. meanwhile, just a few days after
6:07 pm
meeting with biden in california, now china's dictator, president xi, once again he's ramping up hostilities in the south china sea threatening a u.s. warship in international waters, and then demanding the u.s. apologize. what is biden going to do? no, sir. just going along hoping for the best. as a result, the world is a more dangerous place. here with reaction, mike pompeo is back with us. mr. secretary, in my mind, my heart, and my soul, i fundamentally know that dealing, making a deal for hostages will likely in the end result with more hostage taking. that's what i believe. however with that said, i do believe israel is doing the right thing. they care about their citizens. they have an opportunity. the deal is about as unfair as any as you can get. but if i was a family member i
6:08 pm
know what i would want. die believe in my heart it's probably the wrong thing to do? probably, but you've got to hope and pray that that will eventually lead for the opportunity for israel to finally take out hamas. >> well, sean, it's a horrific decision that the leadership in israel has had to make. i suspect they have a plan. they are not naive. unlike our president they understand iran is behind this and they have got to wipe hamas from the face of gaza and they will. i'm confident they will do everything they can to get every one of these prisoners home and then they will complete the necessary. they will do that hard work and take hamas out and create a security architecture for themselves where they never have to face this again from the gaza strip and they won't be silly enough to put the palestinian authority in charge in gaza. they won't be silly enough to ever underestimate hezbollah. they are going to do the things they need to. i wish our president was as serious about protecting the american people and our
6:09 pm
soldiers, sailors, airmen an marines as i'm confident the israeli leadership will be to protect their citizens in israel. >> sean: we all know what's happening. they are reupping their supplies, so this pause gives them an opportunity to reconfigure how they are going to approach israel in the future. does that hurt israel's efforts to wipe out hamas? >> it will make it harder, it will make it last longer but i'm confident the israelis will still figure their way through this. they have got to confront this. the very reason they took these hostages, we know they will take more if they don't get this right. the iranian guys, hamas, they will rearm, refit and regroup but the israelis will do the same. they are watching and figuring this out. i'm confident. it may be more costly and a more difficult conflict because of the pause they took to get these citizens home. i can't think of any other decision they could possibly have made in the face of the
6:10 pm
political pressure and the enormity of getting these citizens home to their families. i'm confident the israelis will get this right but they are going to need time, sean, and i think biden has been tougher on the israelis than hamas, he's put pressure on them to remind them of their duties to international law instead of saying, you've got a job to do, go do it. it's good for america, it's good for the people living in gaza and it's good for the entire region, the arab gulf states as well. hamas being gone is good for the entire world. >> sean: mr. secretary, i have lot of sources in israel, i've been to the tunnels, i've been to border towns in israel with gaza, i have been there during flare-ups, and i'm really having a hard time because my sources all confirm what you just said and that is, especially behind the scenes, publicly biden is saying one thing, behind the scene, he's saying something very different. he's putting massive pressure on
6:11 pm
the israelis in terms of what they cook, about cease-fires, and now he apologized according to a report to muslim-american leaders because he dared to question the death toll. history is one of using civilians, firing rockets from schools and from hospitals. their history of propaganda was, to blame israel for shooting, blowing up a hospital that was never blown up, and killing 500 innocent doctors, nurses, and patients. that never died, and the media in this country ran with it. i'm trying to understand, why would he make that apology today? >> it's incomprehensible, sean. i still doubt everything that hamas says including the death casualty figures that they have put forward. we know this, too. those casualties that have taken place are the direct result of the terror, barbaric terror that took place on october 7. israel had no intention of going
6:12 pm
into gaza. they left in 2006. they have only gone into gaza now because they have got to do the thing that will protect the israeli citizens in the years ahead so i can't for the life of me figure out why biden would apologize for doubting something that ham has says. i don't believe word they say. i don't believe them with respect to these hostages. sean, i'm afraid they will go back at it again just like the iranians d. we gave $6 billion in ransom to get five americans home and now there are more than five americans held by the iranians today. we're only rewarding that bad behavior. it's a terrible situation. we've got to punish not only hamas but iranians. if we don't do we'll continue to have soldiers being fired at across the middle east. >> sean: mr. secretary, last question, i've asked you this before. for me we have to define what real victory would be. wouldn't that mean that gasolineza can no longer be a lunching bad for rockets into israel moving forward, wouldn't
6:13 pm
that also have to include lebanon and hezbollah, that they could no longer launch missiles from the north into israel and wouldn't it have to mean on some level that the head of the snake, iran, is dealt with in some capacity? >> yes, sean. all three of those have to take place. israel can never go back to the situation where they can be threatened with artillery that sits right across its border whether that's the gaza strip, southern lebanon, the houti rebels, the terrorists in yemen or the terrorists that sit in the palestinian west bank as well. israel will have to do that and the united states will have to lead a coalition to reisolate iran the same way it was for four years, build out friends and allies in the region and make sure iran doesn't continue to be the large's largest sponsor of terrorism. >> sean: i remind people you were part of the effort when trump was in office of taking
6:14 pm
outline soleimani, the number one state sponsor of terror that would be iran. secretary pompeo, thank you as always. joining with us more, the you a 24ur of the best seller, "u "unwoke." my understanding it's a best seller. >> that's right true. it makes great christmas gift. go buy it for your friends and loved ones. it's interesting and lays out a battle plan for taking the country back. >> sean: it really does. it was well written. i urge people it would be a good christmas gift for people. let's get your reaction to biden. for apologizing on the issue of not taking these numbers from hamas. why would he be apologizing to anybody for that? >> look, it's important to understand, joe biden has been the most anti-israel president the united states has ever had.
6:15 pm
from the very beginning of the biden administration, this administration has undermined the government of israel at every step. they have done so systematically. they have done so at granular level. he's surrounded by radical anti-israel activists. in his administration, his lead negotiator on iran, rob mali, who has been fired, had his security clearance revoked because presumably, a violation of sharing secrets somehow with iran. his top three advisers, three of his top three advisers were iranian operatives working for the iranian foreign ministry, working essentially as spies on behalf of the government of iran undermining the u.s. government. since october 7, since the october 7 attack began, the biden administration at every stage has worked to undermine israel. as the attack was happening on the night of october 7, the state department tweeted out a call for israel not to engage in retaliation saying violence
6:16 pm
never solves anything. they did that at 3:00 in the morning. 3:00 in the morning i responded and said this was disgraceful. whoever wrote this tweet should be fired. within minutes, they deleted the tweet. the next day, tony blinken the secretary of state sent another tweet saying he had just spoken with the turkish foreign minister and israel should engage in an immediate cease-fire. again i blasted it online saying this was disgraceful, again, they deleted it. since then joe bind has flown to israel, urged israel, do not retaliate against hamas. since then tony blinken has flown to israel, and urged israel, do not retaliate against hamas. at every stage they are pushing for israel not to eradicate hamas. for israel to engage in a cease-fire, for israel to engage in a pause. and the amazing thing is, sean, as much as the biden administration has undermined israel, radical left is protesting biden saying you're not pro hamas enough, because
6:17 pm
that today is the state of the democratic party. they have a viciously anti-semitic radical left that's pounding this white house for not doing even more to hurt the state of israel. >> sean: let me ask you the question that i was asking secretary pompeo earlier. senator, i think you and i probably feel the same way on. this i'm imagining we do. i don't like this deal. i don't like a cease-fire. i don't like the idea that three prisoners are given in exchange for innocent children. however, i know, in my heart, and i know probably in your heart, if that was the deal taken and it would result in the release of innocent citizens and israel getting released and even innocent americans i would probably want to take that deal. how do you feel? >> i'm conflicted on this and this deal was extrapolated in a horrible situation. 68 hostages have been released. first, praise god. we have reason to give
6:18 pm
celebration, thank god that 58 hostages, women, little children, have been released. that's a wonderful thing. i've sat, sean, in my office with the families of hostages. i've heard the horrible stories of people who hamas terrorists brutalized. listen, when it comes to this deal i understand why israel entered it into. i think prime minister netanyahu is truly a historic figure. i know him well. know him well. he appreciates the weight of history on his shoulders. in deal has multiple negative consequences. one is in exchange for these hostages being released israel has released roughly 150 palestinians, some significant number of those were involved in terrorism and likely will return to terrorism. so they are releasing people who will try to kill more innocent civilians. secondly, this pause. the pause in the middle attack
6:19 pm
on gaza means hamas has time to rebuild. they are allowing roughly 300 trucks a day to come in from egypt with aid including fuel. that fuel is restocking hamas. the consequence of this is, hamas will be more difficult to defeat. both of those are serious negative consequences of this deal. that being said, the israeli war cabinet voted to approve this deal, and i understand why. bringing those hostages home is a major accomplishment. and i think it's critical, as we bring those hostages home, that we do not allow this pause to become fuel for leftists and the biden administration to pummel israel and say, do not return to the task of eliminating hamas. the government of israel has said they are going to utterly eradicate hamas. if and when they do so that will be good for israel, america, and the world, and we need to win
6:20 pm
the hostages who come home. we need to return to the task of eliminating these monsters that committed these atrocities. >> sean: that has to happen. do you agree with my assessment that gaza, lebanon, and iran have to all be dealt withk and t -- dealt with, and the tunnels eliminated? >> yes. hamas committed these atrocities. tomorrow morning i'm going to the senate. i'm doing something i'm really not looking forward to. i'm going to with which about an hour of footage that the israeli government has put together of the atrocities these terrorists have committed. i'm going to see terrorists raping young children, raping children, murdering children, i have seen little snippets of it and it makes you physically sick. they literally put babies in ovens and raped their mothers while they cooked the babies alive. this is evil and we've got to stop it. >> sean: it's nearly a 50-minute
6:21 pm
video, and then they wanted to chronicle all of those atrocities. that is, you know, like nazi germany in our time. >> it's important that the truth be known. >> i'll put up your book. >> sean: congratulations on it being a best seller. amazon.com. continuing to push lies while touting bidenomics. the american people are smart. you aren't buying it. kudlow next.

"my bucket is getting pretty empty." and maybe you feel the same way when you look at the wars in the world, the demonstrations, the political chaos. you just ask yourself, "what hope do we have?" well, we've got a lot of hope, if we put our faith and trust in god. you see, god loves you. he made you, he created you, he sent his son jesus christ from heaven to this earth to take our sins. he died and shed his blood on a cross for our sins, and god raised him to life.

if you are willing to trust him right now, god will forgive you. just pray this prayer with me. if you haven't done this, do it right now. just say, "god, i'm a sinner." i'm sorry. forgive me. i want to turn from my sins. i believe jesus christ is your son. i want to trust him as my savior. amen. you prayed that prayer, call the number right now that's on the screen. god bless you!
6:27 pm
>> sean: the numbers are clear, the american people, you're facing the burden of bidenomics. that's not stopped the administration from outright lying about it. take a look at what your president said earlier today. >> the conversation about whether we would have enough left over at the end of the month my dad used to say, have a little bit of breathing room, this past week, as americans gathered around their own kitchen tables for thanksgiving dinner, that was our goal. to give them a little more breathing room, and together we made progress. from turkey to air travel to a tank of gas, costs went down. they went down. >> sean: let's break it down according to the usda's own
6:28 pm
analysis. food prices have been soaring in bide president's failed economy, up 5.8% this year alone. gasoline prices will have risen well over a dollar since january 2021. that's not even at its height. of course, they are resorting to their favorite tactic. when all else fails just blame donald trump whose now been out of office almost three years for their failures. >> why do you think you say the economy is improving and president biden says the economy is improving that the majority of americans outside of this building are not buying it. >> here's the thing. when we walk into this administration, the economy was on a tail spin. that's the fact. because of the last administration, because of the trump administration, because of how they dealt with covid and the pan democrat pick. >> let's add one other point. don't trump didn't add $2
6:29 pm
trillion more last year alone. but voters, we all know they aren't biting as they continue to sour on bidenomics and joe's ability to handle the economy. here's the host of kudlow, our friend larry cud le. even the "washington post" reporter pretty much nailed it saying that bidenomics is now a negative word. politico saying the panic in the democratic party should be about the sxheshgs not joe. using every measurable statistic imaginable to make that point, larry. >> i don't understand, i mean, the bidens are incapable of telling the truth about this economy. when the press secretary says she inherited a "reeling" economy, which is what the binds
6:30 pm
have said for three years, can i just remind, donald trump handed them a 6.5% economic growth rate in the first quarter of 2021, with a 1.5% inflation rate. so i would say, that was a pretty spectacular economy. and then when president biden says the turkey you bought for thanksgiving was down, i don't understand that either. compared to the thanksgiving in 2020, which was donald trump's last in office, i mean, the american farm bureau, i'll just read you this stuff, i'm not making this up, the american farm bureau said thanksgiving dinner was 41% higher than at the end of 2020. turkey up 41%. ham up 97%. pumpkin pie up 31%. and potatoes up 34%.
6:31 pm
sean, i want you to stay off those potatoes because they are too expensive for your waistline. so i don't know what she's talking about here. i mean, they are incapable of telling the truth. that's the bottom line >> sean: thanks a lot, larry. i've only worked hard on my diet for six months, i appreciate the vote of confidence that you've given me. [laughter] >> i can't help myself. it's too much. >> sean: don't worry, i'll get you back. the funny thing is, and the sad thing is, you know, early in my adult life i did live paycheck-to-paycheck. i know what that life is like. for too many adult years that i've had, that's all etched into my memory bank. i don't want to ever have to go back there but now we have a case where 61% of americans now are living paycheck-to-paycheck. many other americans are not making, you know, ends meet every month for bare necessities.
6:32 pm
you see people putting bare necessities on their credit cards, cashing in their pensions early and it's costing them a fortune. i don't see any way out and i don't see any plan to stop this from happening or, you know, if you're not going to face the truth and the truth is bad how do you fix it? >> i think, you know, on that point, look, credit card interest rates are upwards of 30%. car loans are over 10%. mortgage rates hovering around 8%. those are hugely, hugely bigger than they were three years ago. and look, here's another thing i want to raise this evening. if you look at the economics, statistics, i don't want to be too boring here, the index of leading economic indicators, which tells you whether you're going into a recession or going into prosperity, that index is
6:33 pm
down 19 straight months. it is a big huge recession warning for 2024. and then you look inside that, business vote. is down, housing starts and sales are down. wall street doesn't believe it but i'm just looking at the actual facts, and i'm oathing that this is a very high-risk, probably 65% or better, of a recession next year, despite what wall street may or may not think. now, look. prices have gone up faster than wages. so people are living paycheck-to-paycheck, and they are having trouble. not only with higher prices, but they are having trouble with higher interest rates. this is why mr. biden's approval rating on the economy, and that includes particularly in the swing states, why his approval rating is so bad. people are smarter than the geniuses think. ordinary working folks, okay,
6:34 pm
trying to earn a living, lower income folks, who have to suffer through these high prices, in many ways they are a lot smarter than economists, and they are very concerned, what's happening now and what may happen next year. >> sean: look at the housing. new home construction. screeching halt. sale of preexisting homes, virtually nonexistent. who in america is going to give up a 3%, 30-year fixed rate mortgage for eight percent? nobody. nobody is going to sell the house they are in unless they have to. >> and i would say business, which is really the heart of the economy, we produce and consume, small business is so important. right now what you're seeing, business investment is down. business new orders are down. these are very big warning signs, and once again, i think mainstream america may be a lot smarter than the economics
6:35 pm
profession. >> sean: larry kudlow, great to see you. appreciate it. coming up next, only 50 days away from the iowa caucuses. as of now, on the republican side trump has a commanding lead and the polls just keep getting worse for joe biden. we'll check in with our panel. we'll get reaction as we continue.

>> sean: biden's poll numbers are plummeting, and the media and liberals on the left are sounding the alarm as the 2024 campaign begins to heat up. it's gotten so bad for joe one outlet is posing the question is biden doomed in 2024? while bide isn't floundering, former president trump is surging with just 50 days until the iowa caucuses, holding a
6:42 pm
commanding lead over the hawkeye state. tommy, podcast host, i assume it has to be tommy's boss clay travis, but i'm not so sure. if you're fearless, tommy, that means you can tell your boss whatever you want and just walk away. you're good. so what do we make of these polls? tom america we'll start with you, because, it's now very clear, i mean, joe biden is move organize in the 30's in terms of his approval rating. not a good spot. i can't name a single policy that he's been successful on. i think the news about the biden family syndicate is going to get really bad come early next year. he'll have his own problems politically to deal with. even as president trump has had his problems in terms of legal actions by the deep state, et cetera, and a weaponized doj. your thoughts? >> well, sean, this tells me one
6:43 pm
of two things. one, the democrats won't go with joe, which is what i've been saying for several months now. i still think they are going to put gavin newsom in. the debate later this week might be a trial run for gavin newsom on that front. that's one avenue. the second could be they are that confident -- >> sean: can i interrupt you? . >> they don't care that the majority of americans don't like joe. that could be a bigger part of this. >> sean: because gavin has been clear. he does -- he said he's not running in 2024 and the next person in line is kamala harris and conventional wisdom is that if he were to try to challenge harris, if joe, for whatever reason, got out of the way, it would be a huge backlash against that. your thoughts on that quick? >> yes, i think never trust a democrat. gavin says over and over again that he's not going to run. i don't buy it. i think there are discussions in the works to get kamala out of
6:44 pm
the way. time will tell. never trust a democrat and never trust newsom. californians can tell you that one. >> sean: dixon? >> i think that's a sticky wicket for the democrats. they can't say they are going to dump kamala harris. sending him to china was a test. he failed miserably. his numbers went lower. it's not looking good for the democrats and they are in a tight spot. they can't bail. the biggest problem now that joe has to come out on the world stage and talk about this hostage situation over in israel, and he's screwing it up. he's reading -- he's reading these speeches as though he was there but it's very obvious from the way he's reading these speeches that he wasn't involved in these meetings. he's not the one negotiating. he doesn't remember names. he's flubbing everything. it's got the democrats really freaked out but i just don't think they have an alternative, when you see politico out there saying, holy cow, donald trump
6:45 pm
is taking off, and i don't think we can stop him. you know that they are actually saying, we're -- they are sounding the alarm but nobody is coming to put out the fire. >> sean: when you have maureen, david axelrod and others, klay, those are prominent voices in all things, in the democratic world. so openly critical of biden. it's clear that many want him out of the way but it's a more complicated process to make that happen. if it is going to happen, my prediction would be, it would happen at the convention. super delegates would then get the opportunity to make that choice. your thoughts? >> where is the convention, sean? it's in chicago, illinois, if i'm not mistaken, right? >> sean: i think i read that, yes. >> i think there is kind of a famous chicago person who is a former president who has a wife that's probably the most popular
6:46 pm
