>> tensions growing in the mideast, houthi militants targeting more cargo ships as iranian commander is now reportedly threatening to shut down the mediterranean sea as we reported earlier, he's talking about the red sea. now, it comes as a chemical tanker off the coast of india was targeted by a one way attack drone fired from iran just yesterday. our next guest knows about the threats we face from iran, reza pahlavi is the exiled crown prince and he joins us now. reza, great to have you on the program this morning. >> good morning. >> you're seeing this ramping up of terrorism. it's across europe, it's in the oceans, in the middle east. what do you make of iran and their actions in the wake of this war in israel? >> this regime has pretty much mastered proxy wars and particularly emboldened and a open p occurringed when appeasement becomes an element

that gives them more reason to push the envelope. we shouldn't be surprised to see these are the kind of acts that the regime will take advantage of, to try to get as much credit as possible without at the same time assuming the responsibility or the consequences of it. >> do you feel like that iran -- we talked about this earlier, but do you think these proxy forces, do you think they have the capability of fulfilling the threats they're making, not just towards the united states but the world at large when it comes to these shipping lanes in parts of the world? >> well, as we can plainly see, they have to some extent been able to disrupt. i don't know how much fire power you mean by implying in your question. also depends on how much more backing they'll get from the key allies that support them. but having said that, we should not just look at the surface and appearance of what this regime does. we have to understand that a lot of it is out of weakness and despair at home.

why? because they have lost the united nations completely. at the same time, they're conducting a war of aggression abroad, they're also using tremendous repression at home and one has to understand that it is the nature of this regime that demands it to behave the way it does in order to maintain themselves in power, it has to continue maintaining repression at home but at the same time conduct the kind of aggression to first of all deflect attention from itself and this is why they use proxy wars to achieve that exactly, whether it is hamas or hezbollah or any other problems heys that they support -- proxies that they support, including the houthis. >> there's been conversation recently that he say there were an election if the west bank, that palestinians living in the west bank would vote for hamas, pointing out that a lot of what you're seeing take place is popular at least among the population there in the west bank and gaza. you brought up what's happening

in iran and attitude of the public in iran. you're telling me this is vastly different, that the iranian regime is unpopular with its own people there and they have to conduct repression domestically to keep control of the population. it begs the question at some point what will the population do if this regime remains so unpopular? >> well, it's a matter of time. we have seen the end of totalitarian regimes or fascist regime or racist regime at some point it's bound to happen. we saw it in the case of south africa. we've seen the collapse of the soviet union. i don't think there is any difference in terms of the fate of this regime. the question always has been at what cost, how much opportunity cost to a nation in order to ultimately liberate itself. but here's the more important issue. on the eve of christmas and when i think of the fate of of iranin

christians who probably are now trying to celebrate christmas in illegal churches because on the surface their leaders and priests get executed by the regime which consider moving out of the faith illegal. we have to understand that the values the iranian people stand for are the very same of the free democratic world and i find it astounding that to this you day rather than supporting, maximum support to a nation that has the b army in the world in place to bring about change they haven't received the support they deserve in order to free themselves. we are wasteing time trying to negotiate with a regime that takes hostages and takes advantage of weakness when it comes to putting maximum pressure on them as opposed to for instance listing the houthi as a terrorist organization and emboldening those trying to take advantage of the western interest. exiled crown prince reza

welcome back to "fox & friends," obviously so many people wanting to get home for christmas. for the most part it will be okay. let me show you a couple things we're watching. your white christmas, we might be looking at the least white christmas that we've ever had across the lower 48. not much going on, that's snow across nebraska, south dakota,

north dakota. that will be falling right now you into tomorrow which means you'll have a white christmas. temperature wise, 55 degrees today for a i high in chicago. 50s across parts of minnesota, across parts of wisconsin, really warm air, record breaking warm air across areas of the far northern plains. behind the storm is where the colder air comes in. you see the rain across texas and louisiana. that will cause a few problems across some of those area airports. this is where you see the blue, that's snow and this will turn into a blizzard that is going to be tonight into tomorrow. tom even through tuesday, get ready for one to two feet of snow and blowing and drifting snow, will cause major problems across the roads across the northern plains. send it to you inside. >> snow just there but the least white christmas everywhere else. we are breaking my heart. breaking my heart. >> sad, yeah. >> well, this christmas season more than 18 million kids are celebrating in homes without a

our schools right now have just been devastated by this leftist approach to education that's removed god, removed family, and the importance of that from our kids' lives and so our father was sent to us from heaven and jesus christ and he can save this nation if we will just empower ourselves this holiday season to believe in him and follow his commandments. >> so jack, this is something that means a lot to me, i wrote a children's book with my son called "that's what family's for" about leaning on your family during difficult times. 18.4 million children are fatherless in this country. why is keeping the new nuclear family alive and well in the holiday season. >> we're better than this. you think about what our founding fathers represented. you think about all the things that our soldiers and our military fight for.

you think about everything that we put so much passion into across the u.s. and it comes back to fathers. it comes back to family. and no matter what your perspective is, the father is supposed to be the head of the household and so when you take that root out of the family, you break down that foundation. little boys are in the streets. they had a new report showed that our children are three times more likely to be shot in the streets in america than they ever have been in the past and so that's because these boys don't have fathers that would uphold them and spank them and keep them accountable. you start looking at reading and math had proficiencies. you have entire schools in the most prosperous cities that we've had in our history, with no kids that can read and write and do math at their grade level. 71% of every dropout is fatherless. ladies and gentlemen, we have

an issue and if we don't put put programs in place. at the jack brewer foundation we run programs for these children, we go into the prisons. many of us don't think about prisoners. this holiday, you've got millions of kids they will wake up with their dads in jail. it wasn't their fault, whatever their dad did. their dads are in prison. these are generational curses. the odds of these kids going to prison are 20 times more likely than many of our kids. why? because they had a run-in with law enforcement and these kids are fatherless and so we have to remember what these deep rooted issues are doing, the i'll pacts they're having, -- impacts they're having, whether in the prison, whether in the juveniles, the kids in the schools. this is not a black, white, green, purple issue, not about money. there's a lot of families that are wealthy whose dads need to do their jobs and be fathers to their children. but my message is, it's hard to

merry christmas eve. earlier this morning we showed you who made santa's you naughty list. now it's time we show you the bright side and who made the nice list. >> so let's take a look at some of the americans helping our country become a better place. we'll start by the way with jonathan warback, a fed ex driver that famously this year rescued someone in a car he happened upon that was on fire. >> look at the video. unbeunbelievable that happened. not only does he make a fire fieryrescue, after he gave the e a statement, he continued to deliver packages. >> he was on "fox & friends"

you few months ago. here's what he had to say. >> this is just i guess a natural reaction. went around the corner or in a bend in the highway and saw the car on fire and there wasn't anybody else there yet. i was just the first one to come upon it so i pulled over and it was already on fire so i pulled over and grabbed my fire extinguisher from the truck and ran back there. >> he s said he had enough time to make the heroic rescue. >> that's hero stuff. the definition of a hero is what you do in that moment of crisis. now, officer brendan fraser also was on "fox & friends," he is trained for this stuff but even he went above and beyond the call. >> also making the nice list, brendan fraser, who rescued a baby, a famous video you can see where he got out, took care of the baby, took it from the mother. in fact, let's roll tape.

i think we have the sound on this one. we don't have it. you can see there, he takes the baby from the mother. she is asking entire time, oh, no, she is asking what he is doing, he says give me the baby and he ends up saving this baby. >> he performed cpr essentially by tapping it on the back. this black camaro was going 75, 80 miles an hour. >> trying to get to the hospital. >> someone says oh, there's a problem, pulls them over of, realize they're in distress. the baby makes it to the hospital and he saves the baby's life. >> and he was on "fox & friends." >> next on the list. jonathan isaac. this one's interesting. this is not an officer. this is not a fed ex delivery man. this is an nba forward for the orlando magic. he decided to align his faith, put his mouth where his money was. leaving nike to start his own product. >> jonathan isaac is doing something we talked a lot about. we talk about patronizing

freedom and will work to bolster those values. >> we put jonathan isaac on the nice list as well. as we did dylan kaufman. >> this is near and dear to my heart. you get a lot of rough waves out there surfing. you can put yourself in a dangerous situation. this flag leler beach police officer saw two swimmers out there. he takes it upon himself -- he's not a trained rescue swimmer. he is a police officer but he goes in the water and rescues both swimmers and they survive, remarkable a stuff right there. >> another heroic action taken by some first responders, some average day american citizens like fed ex drivers who are doing things without much praise or fan fare that make them great americans and i would expect on santa's nice list. >> they're on the nice list. they're people we add a meyer
