1:22 pm
how to keep our home warm what small businesses should do is they operate their businesses. that is why his poll numbers are lousy h is trying to tell us wht to do instead of trying to drive down inflation and trying to make our situation better. even as we see the number start to turn around and it's a great thing that started to turn around. we know this message were attributable to what's happening by the fed the fed dropping rates which if anything is increased inflation certainly his initial bills trillions and trillions of dollars pumped into the economy have the worst possible time is made or lives worse it's time that he recognized what he has done and connects with the american people rather than telling us we are wrong or telling the immediate we are wrong. >> how much of this is the interest rates on things like auto loans and the home mortgage rate being as high as it is the highest in a couple of decades. that's really what people are feeling goo not able to buy ther homes or their cars in the they do their feeling it pretty quick that's a big part of it no
1:23 pm
doubt. people are locked into their homes right now they're such a huge disparity between where interest rates were two years ago and where interest rates are today. so people are saying and their homes or snow inventory out there for people to purchase if you are a home time -- like a first-time homebuyer at your house to show inventory and automobiles are a similar situation is huge disparity of interest rates but inflation is not just limited to homes and things affected by interest rates with these big ticket items or sing inflation across the board a as people are celebrating christmas they know christmas dinner is more expensive for the christmas tree you purchase is more expensive much all the presents under the tree are more expensive. yes we love's an seen the posite news inflation starting to turn around and even a little bit of deflation but we've got a long way to go to get back to where we were back before the pandemic when things were actually affordable. >> you wrote in a recent op-ed for fox digital you wrote this

the president ought to work with congress to reduce spending through the appropriations process just as a family would reduce spending on nonessential items during lean times for the federal government means to trim down the monstrous budget. next inflation could be tackled through better tax policy that encourages economic growth this boils on the simple supply and demand economics which tells us if you make more step or increase supply can you explain that on the tax policy f front with you think this administration should do? >> if it comes down to basic economics, if you have prices that are too high you can reduce demand. when people have less money they spend less and causes to drop. the other way you can reduce prices is by increasing supply. making more stuff and it comes to tax policy there's a lot of really good provisions than tax cuts and jobs act of 2017 the so-called trump tax cuts and

encourage companies to grow to invest more in the u.s. economy in terms of manufacturing capacity building new factories, buying more machinery but unfortunate those provisions have started to phase out. we put them back on the books we will start to see more production more growth in terms of output and weight make more stuff, when we produce our stuff up prices will fall and fall with fewer harmful side effects that we are seeing with the fed like we talked about the real estate market is a complete mess it's very, very expensive to borrow money that hurts average americans, hurt small businesses that are often times trying to finance their operations with the lending it's a huge hit across the economy i guess receiving lower inflation we are certain to also experience harmful side effects of high inflation rates. >> and quickly, not a lot of time in terms of the interest rates the fed signaling they're probably going to three cuts next year. are you buying what the fed is
1:26 pm
saying what they are signaling? >> they have too. we have seen americans leverage their credit cards like never before. $1 trillion collectively on her credit cards most of that debt is financed a variable interest rates when those interest rates go up it becomes harder and harder to stay afloat dropping the rates down is going to give american families a little bit of breathing room as they worked to rebuild their personal finances. thank doubt that that building up savings getting to a more comfortable place where they are more financially secure. >> the doubt reaching a historic high the markets are certainly feeling bullish about next year we shall see. brandon arnold merry christmas to you and yours thank you so much. >> thank you brian. correct israeli prime ministertn how to conduct the war on hamas as the fighting takes a holiday break. a live report from israel next. .
