job? why does the general counsel who worded this crafty statement that she read in front of congress, why do they get to stay? all of them need to go, plus the over 150-plus professors that signed a letter in agreement of her staying. i know some people are celebrating this and by the way why didn't you vet her to look at her plagiarism? she got the ph.d. in 1998. i think i was 6 at the time. y'all had plenty of time to look through her work. apparently people had already reported some of the stuff was plagiarized and y'all didn't take any of that into consideration before you all appointed her? i just think they need to clean house in the entire campus? >> brian: same thing with u penn that president resigned and still on the faculty keeps the salary. if it wasn't for the plagiarism she would still be there. barack obama jumped to her cause i want her there and want her to stay. the plagiarism was too much and it kept growing. christopher rufo he looked into it he did some investigating.

he didn't make anything up didn't give fiery speeches. he said how do you explain this? the numbers kept growing. evidently she decided the number of plagiarism, the proof of plagiarism continued to grow. i think it's basically proven i love the way people say it's not that she plagiarized she took quotes from other people and didn't attribute it. fine. get my head around it. it has been distressing to have doubt cast on my commitments to confronting hate and the upholding scholarly rigor to bedrock values that are fundamentally to who i am and frightening to be subjected to threatening attacks and hate filled animus. that's what we heard from al sharpton. he believes that she broke the glass ceiling as a block woman and that that's the reason she lost her job, which is really you have to allude -- you have to devoid yourself from the facts. >> steve: racist? was it racist a couple weeks ago when elizabeth magill of u penn

resigned? she was at the same disastrous press conference and she made exactly the same argument. hey, it depends. essentially is what they were saying. >> ainsley: how did we get here, steve? >> steve: one other point, ainsley that is the plagiarism president, didn't our current president, wasn't he accused of plagiarism a number of times? law school, when he stole neil kinnick's stump speech when he was running for president back in the 1980s? plagiarisms and presidents we have seen this before. >> ainsley: group of 30 harvard student groups that went to the newspaper and were on campus talking about what was happening on campus. >> and they said that this was israel's fault after october 7th. so that's really what started this how did we get there? and then she stood by those groups. she didn't condone -- she condoned what they were doing. she didn't condemn them. then she allowed them to protest on campus. then she went in front of congress and said well, it depends on the context of why

they would call for genocide. then it was revealed that she plagiarized. since thin harvard has seen early admissions drop 17%. fewer students applied for coveted spots compared to last year and lost $1 billion in donations jewish groups and students are celebrating this resignation only saying this should have happened sooner. >> lawrence: here's the problem though, ainsley, when they talk about the racial animus of this, we as a country because we are a young country. a little only 200 years. we all celebrate when we break certain glass glass ceilings. she didn't break the glass ceiling on her merit. she plagiarized her work. and i think to then say hey, look, it is because of my race, and you guys didn't want me to break the glass ceiling anyway, when you literally put all this work out that wasn't really your own, t did you really break the glass ceiling? did you use someone else's work

[inaudible] >> got to do something. they ought to give me the money i need to protect the border. >> steve: so joe biden is saying give me the money. and i think he is talking about the negotiations with the congress. you know, bowers the congress, they are trying to do something with ukraine and israel and republicans are trying to include the border with that.

so he is asking for money for ukraine and for israel and it looks like there will be money for the border it, sounds like, or a change of policy. here's the thing what is joe biden going to do with the money? you think is he going to lock the doors? absolutely not at the southern border. what is he going to do is bring in more people to process the record number of migrants. we were talking about this yesterday. during the month of december. they broke a record. 302 people from other countries got into our country that we know of and for the most part they are here. joe biden wants some more money to get those people that you see right there into the united states faster. not turn them around but get in faster. >> brian: see, that's what he wants. that's not what he is going to get. >> steve: we will see. >> brian: if he wants funding for israel and taiwan. heated negotiations, senator lankford over the weekend they worked every single day over the break except for christmas, christmas eve and the day after, working on some type of asylum

changes and admission into our country. not just border money. and they are looking at something, also, that has to pass the house who -- that has been led by the senator from oklahoma. the other senator from oklahoma. he is keeping everyone up to date in the house about what they're dealing with on the senate side. time matters. and so let's be optimistic that the republicans have enough leverage to make him make the changes to allow him you to do his job and stop this incredible invasion. >> ainsley: gave him money to build that wall. he never finished building the wall. i think they have added like 20 more miles since he has been president. we watched all video of all the materials rotting and rusting on the side. so, you had a lot of money, joe biden. you decided to end all of these policies that were working, working a lot better, according to the numbers, if you look at these astronomical numbers since you have been in office. >> lawrence: at its core the issue is not a money issue. it's a policy issue.

right and just in the military institution. and that trust is absolutely essential for commanders to be effective on the battlefield. this lack of trust has spread through the military as a whole and we're really seeing the pentagon going in this downward spiral where the troops are seeing these double standards. these two tiered justice systems and just as in with the covid mandate implementation some lawlessness. >> brian: you saw about 8400 service members were discharged. now they said, amber, if you want to come back, we will take you back. what do those officers for the most part are saying no thank you. >> well, there has been some clarification on the "we'll take you back" comment. it's more of complying with the ndaa that was passed that the department of defense had to send letters that said here's the steps can you take to correct your record. so it wasn't necessarily a welcome letter to come back in. and, in all honesty, the department of defense doesn't want them back. because these are the people who will stand on principle.

they decided that the order was unlawful and they stood up to it instead of, you know, saying i'm just going to tote line and comply with an unlawful order. >> brian: people watching this we watched this ship disabled because of covid-19. could be used as a weapon on in closed environments like that and that in the past the recent past getting small pox vaccines before persian gulf war. how do you feel about people who point to those situations? >> we are a law of nations. and it sill legal to force or order a service member to take an emergency use authorization vaccine only the president of the united states can do that. he did not. secretary austin ordered commanders to order their troops take approved vaccine which they did not have on hand. that is the issue and the lawlessness issue comes up. so, one is legal. one is not.

mrs. doocy, send the lent lights. in let me show them. speaking of christmas and winter time, the first major snow storm of 2024 is forecast to slam the northeast this weekend and it could bring the first significant snowfall in something like 700 days from washington up through new york and filly and baltimore, going without an inch of snow since 2022 so how much are we going to get adam klotz out on the streets. >> adam: i'm upstairs. >> steve: because it's cold, currently 32 degrees. you are indoors. >> adam: i will be out there with snow. key word if we even see snow. depends on where you are. we are going to be talking about a system saturday into sunday. we got days to look into. this this is what this could pan out to be nationally. weather system sweeping across the southeast bringing a lot of heavy rain. you do notice off towards the west all of this energy is going

to produce a whole lot of snow for some of the mountain states. and then as it runs up into new england, the mid-atlantic, is when you start to see some of these questions. there is going to be a line where a little bit of rain on one side. snow on the other side. here is the future forecast model. think of through the day on saturday into sunday. that is when this snow or rain or freezing rain is going to be coming down. ultimately leave with you this graphic. it gives you an idea of where you are going to see maybe most snow or the least snow. everything here in this lighter shade of blue, that is a light snow. we are currently looking at, again, the moderates kind of like that tarheel blue. that is stretching there a little bit inland along the i-95 corridor philadelphia, new york, up towards boston, including places like d.c. that's the big question mark. we're currently looking at light snow. but, again, we will have a better idea of this in the next couple of days. those are the weather headlines. brian, tossing it over to you. >> not looking forward to it. it's been a great 700 days. i have enjoyed it. meanwhile if your new year's
