would be a significant choke, not as big of a choke as it would be if we didn't see the outcome of iowa in an iowa caw caucus on tuesday, turn out like the polls of suggesting which is resounding victory for donald trump. right now the final iwan des moines register poll has donald trump at 48%. >> this has in the past been a fairly good predicter, not perfect, the polls have been off before, but to see rachel this number at 48, it was at 53, could be at 50, margin of error is 4%, so haley and desantis are kind of tied. she's pulled ahead. if this is the outcome, it will change the race heading into new hampshire and south carolina, no doubt. rachel: donald trump getting greedy. he a wants to break 50%. he's taken a swipe at vivek ramaswamy and i think he wants his voters to go, listen, a vote for vivek is a vote against trump and for the other two, nikki haley and ron desantis, so he's getting greedy, wants those

voters to come over to him. i think he wants it to be so resounding and over 50%. >> he's looking at that guy and saying okay, it's been cute, you're trying to be the next generation america first but mr. america first is still on the stage so don't save me by voteing for vivek, just vote for me and we'll save the country, that's the argument he is making and you know what, if you look at the other part of this poll, guys, it shows the depth of the support that donald trump has. so the des moines register poll not only asked who do you like but you how made up is your mind on the first choice of candidate, could you be persuaded? for trump supporters, their mind is made up. they're not going anywhere else. desantis and haley, still strong support but could change. >> do you think the environment that we've talked about in the last couple days, cold temperatures, snow, does someone whose mind is made up, are they more motivated to show up or is the person who is on the fence

more motivated to attend a caucus? not talking about cast a vote. attend a caucus. >> that's a great question. i think that's why donald trump's not taking anything for granted, why they're pushing through the tape on the finish line. i don't think anybody knows what that -- organization is important. we had the chair of the republican party of iowa on with us earlier, he said he has never seen four campaigns with this robust of an organization to the end. >> is that right? >> yeah. usually you have a frontrunner with a big organization and some people maybe catching up based on a wave a but all four invested in infrastructure, trump more so than 2016, desantis has a big team on the ground. so does vivek. haley is more in new hampshire but still invested in iowa. there's a lot of teams out there. rachel: and the weather playing a factor in this. i wonder like how do the voters break down by age category. are you less likely if you're in your 80s, you might have been a reliable voter when it was 60 or -- >> or are you more likely? rachel: or more likely?

i don't know. could be. you wonder. let's ask somebody from iowa who gets it all, say was' attorney general was at a rally with donald trump last night. great to have you. can you answer any of these questions here? >> oh, absolutely. we have record setting snow and cold for caucus night this year on monday night but we also have a record in that president trump's support here in iowa is historic. the most anybody's ever won a caucus by before has been 12 points and he's poised to blow that record out of the water. he's doing great. he has lots of energy and moment momentum, support from every corner of the state in iowa. >> i think we can almost take that to the bank, that record of i believe it's 13%, 12, 13% from bob dole, will probably be beat here by donald trump in iowa. but the question is, how big is

the overall turnout with the weather? we were wondering while minds are made up, who is motivated to show up? >> well, you know, the weather might keep a couple people at home. i also think it will inspire other people who know that their vote really counts and biden has just been a disaster for iowa and the whole country. iowa votes first. the way we kick biden out is by going to the caucus and voting strong for president trump. usually it all begins in iowa. but i think this year it ends in iowa for biden. when you see these numbers, you see that enthusiasm and he's leading in every early state, i mean, it is momentum. the energy is out there. it's going to be a historic win in the caucuses. >> there we go. america will be watching. brettam burke, you endorse the former president, he's well ahead. we'll see what happens tomorrow night. thank you for being with us. >> thank you. rachel: look at the numbers for donald trump. incredible when you think about what he's been facing, all of

these charges, almost from the mainstream media, 99% negative press coverage. everything that he has had to deal with. and also the establishment and the biggest donors going to the other candidates and he's got these strong numbers. you just have to go -- you have to tip your hat, go this is remarkable. >> it is remarkable. she said tonight it ends something, it ends joe biden. i thought she was going to say the other republican campaigns. it will be interesting to see, let's say he's around 50%, wins by 30 points or some historic margin, what's the path for the other guys? it would have to be haley in new hampshire and consolidation with kristy voters to try to stop the momentum in they south carolina. the race won't stop. that's why the margin in iowa will be pretty interesting to look forward. >> it could stop for someone. >> may stop for someone, you're right. not everybody. >> how about asa hutchinson. >> he's going to the end baby. >> let's check in with lawrence

joan having breakfast with boyfriends in sioux city, eye iowa,ahead of the caucuses. any asa hutchinson voters you've run into? >> not yet. they may be out there somewhere. i have not met them. i have met them, despite the governor who said only -- there are haley and desantis supporters here. everyone that says they're supporting those candidates, when i ask them who do they think is going to win, they all said donald trump. i think they realize as they talk to their friends and the majority of people obviously that i've spoken to today, they say they're going to caucus for donald trump. but the thing i continue to hear is that it is about what donald trump did in the past administration that he kept his promises to them and the people of iowa have not forgotten about that and i kind of feel bad for some of these candidates because they are really good politicians

and i think in any other election with him not being in the race, there would be some type of appetite for them but every single city i go to, every diner i go to, it's the same story, promises made, promises kept, and when it comes to the prosecution against him, i'm talking to one of his supporters that is here, she is supporting nikki haley but she's also a criminal defense attorney. she goes what's happening against him is not right. it's just not right. so we'll see what happens on the caucuses. things can change. but it would take an act of god of all the voters for trump not showing up to the caucus for one of these candidates to win. rachel: thank you, lawrence. we're going to check back with you in a bit. one of the reasons why we might be seeing this kind of support for donald trump is that there's a two tiered system of justice in america and also in the media

in terms of how different riots and different protests are covered. today, as you all know, marks 100 days since the israel war began and what followed was a huge protest in new york city and d.c. where actually the rioters were up against the fence, they started to push be it down. some of the fence had to be replaced and i think this is really interesting because i haven't heard the word insurrection used in any of this, yo i haven't heard a lot f talk about violent democrats but this is the kind of two-tiered coverage, no one was arrested, i doubt the fbi in infiltrated --s infiltrating any of these violent protests. >> they won't take a look at the crowd. rachel: i think it's frustrating for the american people and another reason why so many rallied around donald trump, the injustice is part of it. >> the white house staff, a portion of it in d.c., had to be

relocated due to rioters damaging the anti-scale fencing. i've been out there when the fencing is put up, during the riots of 2020, it's temporary fencing. if you try to smash against it you can move it, you can take it down. in this case they the were at that brink. there were breaks in the fence. there was worries that the white house could be breached. what kind of coverage will this get? there will be no consequences this is a big problem in the white house because they've been in the minds of the base and their supporters, i guess that's hamas in this case, they're too supportive of israel and this is what you've got outside. >> i imagine to your question, it will get no coverage will be my estimation and in the way you characterize an event just goes so far they in crystalizing in the publics' minds, that's not to diminish nor apologize for something that happened on january 6th but if you just reiterate and hyper ventilate about one thing, you make

the white house, 100 staffers threatened to quick because they're unhappy with joe biden's position as well. there's a lot of trouble for joe biden on either side of this. >> that was my second take away from this. we will see that divide, that is presumably democrat voters protesting against a democrat president, we'll see how that divide plays out, i was thinking of the ballot box, inside the administration. >> are you going to let junior staffers run your white house? if you walk out of the white house, next thing, you should give me you your badge, you're out. i don't understand why you tolerate that. maybe they will. because they're weak. >> turning to your headlines, starting with this, a fox news alert. a volcano erupting overnight in southwest iceland, weeks after another eruption in the same area. yesterday the national commissioner of police ordered residents of a fishing town to evacuate by tomorrow night.

the icelandic meteorological -- >> meteorological. >> meteorological office reported friday that volcanic fissures were higher risk than originally thought. rachel: look at that footage. >> say that word three times. rachel: meteorological. >> texas military department responding to democrat congressman henry cuellar claiming three illegals drowned due neglect on friday in eagle pass. they say they denied border patrol access near the fencing where they were trying to rescue the three illegals. the military department said they were not made aware of any bodies in the area, nor were they made aware of any bodies discovered on the u.s. sized the border. and sources telling fox news a deal has been reached on a short-term funding bill that would avoid a government shutdown. a spokesperson for majority leader chuck schumer says the continuing resolution is

charge in the fight for fairness in women's sports, joining athletes outside the ncaa phoenix convention demanding leaders meet with those affected by their trans policies. riley gaines joins us now. it's great to see you. you went in person to deliver this letter. how were you received? >> i was received -- i went to the conference last year and i went to the conference as a nominee for ncaa woman of the year, the most prestigious honor. but this was not exclusive to just women. university of pennsylvania and ncaa nominatedly yaed leah thoms well. we delivered a petition, a legal demand letter. went back this year to do the exact same thing because over the course of the past year the ncaa hasn't changed policies.

women continue to be discriminated against on the basis of our sex, president charlie baker, he knew we were coming, we forewarned him the day before. he mentioned he would send a representative out. he didn't want to be seen participating in any capacity with the people involved in our rally. the people i delivered -- the people on the governing board who i delivered the petition and letter to didn't look me in the eyes which is pretty disheartening as a female athlete, a nominee for the you award they were presenting later that evening, myself the year prior. >> riley, forgive me for not knowing, but that's part of having someone like you who is plugged into the issue on the show, what is the ncaa current policy on gender athletes, is it gender identity, a year of hormone treatment? what is the policy? is it sport by sport? help me out. >> in 2010 they implemented a policy that was 12 months of hormone replacement therapy and

you could compete in the category that alliance with your gender identity. now they're in a phase-out approach. they want nothing to do with the policy which shows how cowardly really they are. to me it shows they know this is wrong. now they're leaving it up to each specific sport to make rules for that sport. it's the same thing that the international olympic committee is doing now. this is an olympic year. there should be a lot of eyes on the olympics and what their policies are. it shows the cowards, they wanto push off responsibility and account able. >> when they could legislate it all holistically for all sports to say hey, you know, screen dgenderyou're born, gender you . have you ever gotten any honest dialogue or feedback from the ncaa. >> no. president charlie baker testified in front of the senate a month or so back, he didn't know what the policies were. i think it was senator mike lee

for basketball, they had 13,000 show up. it's the hottest ticket in the country, i grant that. it didn't seem like it was a total at capacity sellout but you get more than 13 you tho13 -- 13 you 13,000 to watch a basketball game, maybe that portends the turnout for tomorrow. >> you look at the big lead and the fact that the lead is solid, 80% saying we're not going anywhere for donald trump. >> i think that could be significant. i always thought coming into this for the last week, i've been telling everybody, there's two numbers, one is 50, one is 20. can trump beat 50? no republican has done it before. the des moines register had him a tick below that. maybe that sets expectations for the next day and-a-half a little lower for him and the other number was 20 because if trump is below 50 and you've got haley or desantis above 20, guys,

whether it's h haley or desantis for the next eight days, they'll have more cameras in their face than taylor swift. the media loves the story. it's an expectations game. new hampshire will be eight i days after that. they'll be getting a lot of attention as to whether or not they can pull the trick in new hampshire for round two we're not there yet. we're in iowa, super cold. not complaining. it's quite refreshing to be out of new york and come here to middle america. rachel: well, bill, we're noticing that all morning we've been talking about it, donald trump going after vivek. he wants those votes. if he goes over 50%, what happens then? >> it's a major headline. and i can tell you that his team wants it. there are 170 1700 caucus sites. they say they have 1800 caw you caucuscaptives. which means throughout the state of iowa they'll have someone

with a white hat with gold letters on at that particular site making sure that trump has a presence. they want to get there. if they don't, i'm sure there will be a certain way to spin that in the following way. when trump came here eight years ago, really didn't have the ground game. i've been coming out to iowa since 2000, 20 years now. the first candidate i reported on was d dick ge ephart. that's the year that john kerry got a helicopter the and he lost his voice and won the caucus, went to lose against george bush the following november. every time you come to a caucus, republican or democrat, they each have their own flavor that goes around the state. and i don't really think yet that we're going to know what that flavor is. other than there has not been an overwhelming favorite for republican caucus in modern
