feeling well enough at least this weekend to make her first public appearance in many, many weeks. >> sandra: worth continuing on with that message as this is the first public statement we have had from her in quite some time. that she adds to that, john "on the good days when you feel stronger you want to make the most of feeling well." she says her treatment is ongoing and will be for the next few months. "on the days i feel well enough it's a joy to engage with school life, spending time on the things they give me energy and positivity as well as doing a little work from home. i am looking forward to attending the king's birthday parade this week and with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer but equally knowing i am not out of the woods yet. john, that is obviously a key part of that statement. >> john: yes she says she is taking each day as it comes listening to "my body and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal" so we will be looking forward to the photos this weekend. the king's birthday parade and she will be in attendance.

>> we are wishing her and her family the absolute best in her healing process for sure, john. >> she is so brave the way she is handling all of this. all right, as all this goes on despite the search of illegal migrants in california, governor newsom is boasting about his state's response. matt finn is live and how come california for that part of the story. what was the governor boasting about? >> john, the post and was about increasing california national guard at the legal points of entry here in california, but it is well known migrants who cross illegally like this group behind me right now they don't use the legal point of entry. this is rinse and repeat here in the san diego sector. this group is waiting to be processed by the overwhelmed border patrol. migrants here tell us they fly into mexico, they pay human smugglers to guide them into the united states, it's a well oiled criminal enterprise. this week and sandy go talk to
10:07 am
migrants of mirror iran, china, yemen, and india governor nuisance posted how he has doubled the california national guard and california's legal point of entry which he says resulted in a record seizure of fentanyl but at the same time you see these live pictures and we are staying out here watching as migrants freely and illegally cross into the united states and we have not seen any california national guard out here. newsom's new video really begs whether or not he is going to send any national guard here to these illegal crossing points. here's a portion of his clip. >> the national guardsmen and women particularly with sentinel in new jersey the bottom line at the end of the day they need more resources. everyone needs more resources. the repu republican party has bn consistently standing in the w way. speak of the border patrol union in senegal quickly responding to the video writing in part "we need help in stemming the flow of illegal migrants entering

california, not rewarding illegal migrants with taxpayer-funded programs. governor, if you are serious about closing the mexico-california board he would allow the national guard to help us postcode and we shot some chinese migrants that illegally crossed ended up wandering around a rural neighborhood. border patrol process them in front of a home they said it is "demoralizing day after day to keep chasing around illegal groups of migrants, border patrol here on the ground tells our crews this is not what they signed up for when these large groups appear it renders them useless to actually go chase drug smugglers, to go chase the got aways this is an all-day process to take care of these large groups of migrants that appear. we have inquired with governor newsom's office multiple times asking if sending the california national guard down what you're seeing live right now, this we will wait we will keep you updated. >> john: with the latest, thank you, matt now this.
10:09 am
>> sandra: a moment meant to showcase unity and prowess turned into another moment for president biden after he awkwardly walked away from a skydiving demonstration and had to be guided back by the italian prime minister. former secretary of state mike pompeo is a fox news contributor, mr. secretary great-nephew here today. to be obviously taken very seriously, this happened about this time yesterday we started to see this video. and most of us watched it a few times to assess what we were really seeing happen there. it is important that as we report this to play it out in its entirety for our viewers and everyone to see from start to finish so they can decide for themselves if this is another moment and cause for concern.
10:10 am
let's watch it together. it's about one minute. okay, mr. secretary as we continue to watch this play out in its entirety, obviously important to do so, so people can decide for themselves, what did you think when you saw this moment as it is clearly not the first time we have seen the president to stray. in fact "the new york post" covered today as meander-in-chief. what do you think of this? >> i have now watch this whole thing you've shown shown to the entire set of viewers, make no mistake about it this is not a one-off, this is not just losing focus and a moment. we saw little over a week ago where he struggled at the d-day ceremony to stay awake.
10:11 am
we have seen repeatedly on the world stage his inability to focus, that he is weak and not prepared to actually undertake the task the commander in chief has. i performed more than a couple of ceremonies and those are the easy things to go to the ceremonies and these public events. hard things happen behind closed doors it if you can do the easy things, if you stay focused in this moment, my goodness, it's a real worry. i know our friends around the world the nations that are depending on america to be strong and to lead our washing this president demonstrate weakness and they are very worried about it. and the result of now two wars in the chinese communist party on the rise just tells you these moments are not isolated, these are a failed set of policies from the buy demonstration and it concerns me and an enormous amount to see the next six months play out where this man is president for the united states. >> sandra: mr. secretary all of this is happening as we been reporting the big news of these four russian warships including
10:12 am
a nuclear submarine now sitting 200 miles off the coast of florida. just another example of the increasing threats to the united states. how big of a threat do you see that and how urgent is the situation? >> my goodness, sandor, it's another indicator, right? you talked about one at the opening of the show as well the wide open border and now we are seeing folks on the terror watch list and folks with munitions, i worry about that a lot. director ray, head of the fbi says he sees all the red lights flashing on terrorism. we see ships being attacked in the red sea and now the russians feeling like there is literally no risk to moving ships into cuba just less than 100 miles off our shore. i think the bad guys view our president as failed and a week and i think our allies are worried that america won't be there when they need them. is so i think the fact some ships sailed i think that was an isolated incident i would be much less worried but now we see
10:13 am
a pattern of the by demonstration failing to protect the most basic security interest of the united states of america. >> sandra: really interesting. if we do if our team has those live border picks you mentioned we have our team reporting at the border today, we continue to see scenes like this playing out, mr. secretary. obviously you are lumping that into the threats to the united states as we continue to see the number of people crossing over our borders, not coming from mexico, south america, it is beyond. i mean when we have bill melugin standing there and you have people coming in from turkey, from egypt, from china, how do you assess this threat today? >> it's very real, sandra paired up and talking about this for months. so of others. thousands of people coming across your border and you have no idea who they are or where they are going. some subset of those will have been coming out the direction of a terrorist organization or a nation state actor and they may
10:14 am
not launch their terror attack today or tomorrow but they are loading the gun. they are getting ready. and this risk, it's a game of numbers. we have seen a couple hundred people that we know are on the terror watch list we have now identified but how my need to be simply not know about and how much more risks have we taken on? i hope the fbi has their arms around her but i don't think there is any way you can count on law enforcement, fbi to secure a nation when you're letting thousands of people come in from all across the world, your point is right they are not just from mexico and central america any longer. this risk is very real and i fear one day we will wake up to a really bad outcome as a result from the failed border policies over the last 3.5 years. >> sandra: mr. secretary i can't help but ask before you go it's like when we see donald trump step in front of a microphone he has so many behind him that people are speculating who he may choose as his running mate, i can't help but ask you in the face of these growing security threats and foreign policy needs are you on that short-list? are you having that conversation
10:15 am
with the former president? >> the president will pick someone serious and capable of executing the duties of the president of the united states. i'm very confident of that. there are a lot of good folks paired with some folk standing behind him yesterday, a handful of those would be great picks for vice president. i don't want to talk about conversations that may be being hot or not, but suffice to say, compared to the current vice president who i would be deeply worried to have sitting as our commander-in-chief, i am very comforted the president of united states or donald trump i hope will be the president of the united states again will take a very good vice president i'm convinced he will. >> sandra: i didn't hear or no, so i guess we are leaving the door open their periods mr. secretary, always good to talk to thank you so much for joining us. >> center, bless you come have a great weekend. >> john: may be no, maybe yes come to italy now as the g7 leaders after finishing up a meeting with the pope and there you see president biden for head to forehead with francis, he will have a private meeting with him soon. now the life picture, the

gathering for the so-called "class photo" in italy which will cap off the g7, the front president then flying back to the united states for a big hollywood fund-raiser while kamala harris stays behind to go to this peace summit on ukraine. as pointed out, pope francis old and a private meeting with president biden at the g7 but our understanding is that has not happened yet. are jacqui heinrich live in italy. we saw the president and a group setting, what's going on with the private meeting? >> it has not happened yet, jon perry there about two hours behind schedule and unclear what exactly he threw the rest of the day, what event went long, we will wait to find out but that private meeting is coming up. you will recall a couple of years ago when the president went to saudi arabia the defining image of that trip was his fist bump with the crown prince. on this trip the defining image may end up being his head to bump with the pope. the president greeted the

about china. and objective of this was delivering a warning beijing was not helping russia on the war in the ukraine and yesterday's press conference president zelenskyy indicated he did not think this was a big issue setting a call he had with president xi. biden did not leave that leave that unaddressed and chimed in to counter the comment. >> he said he will not sell any weapons to russia. if he has a respectable person, he will not because he gave me the word. >> by the way, china is not supplying weapons but the ability to produce those weapons and the technology available to do it. so it is in fact helping russia. >> is unsure when this conversation happened, the last talk between zelinski after he just touched on in switzerland, the g7 leaders other than biden are attending, sending the vice president in his place because he is heading back to

steele, style, sorry, as chairman of the house and administration committee sent subpoenas to 15 biden secretaries for documents on what some are calling the "voter mobilization scheme" he joins us now. you are concerned this could be partisan in nature, you sent subpoenas to 15 cabinet secretaries asking for information. what do you want to know? >> we need to see the strategic plan. executive order requires every agency to put forward a strategic plan and we are starting to see the evidence of the plans in place that do have a partisan tilt on questionable. the department of education is allowing work-study dollars to allow students to register voters on college campuses. we are seeing the small business administration engage in a contract with the state of michigan. the american people deserve to know how they are taxpayer dollars are being used because i don't think anybody believes the biden administration is using this in a nonpartisan way. >> john: you refer to this as "biden bucks" and you say this
10:28 am
"elections are partisan but our election and administration should never be partisan. allowing federal employees from the biden administration to election administration sites buttons election integrity and reduces american's competence. this executor order is another attempt by the biden administration to tilt the scales ahead of 2024. the executive order is designed to expand access to information about voter legislation and to do it all within the bounds of law. you believe that still leaves latitude to act in a partisan fashion? >> they are not allowed to act in a partisan fashion which is all the more concerning their not willing to provide their strategic plans they have drafted to congress. and for the american people to see. >> john: i understand they are not allowed but they say they're going to do it within the bounds of applicable law. do you think that would still give them the latitude to play fast and loose question marks because they are playing wildly fast and loose. it's on questionable. why they are choosing to allow work-study dollars on college campuses that we know are disproportionately democratic

voters? is the bureau of indian affairs engaging in indian tribe voting registration just in key states? or are they doing it across the country? why won't they provide this information to congress and my committee? they have to do it is why we subpoenaed the 15 secretaries. >> john: you're from wisconsin, there is a controversy about wisconsin when president trump was addressing house members yesterday. he allegedly said "milwaukee, where we are having our convention, is a horrible city" you were at that meeting did he say that? >> the president did not disparage the city of milwaukee i don't believe he actually said that quote. the conversation did include the city of milwaukee as it relates to the challenges we see there. there is horrific crime occurring in milwaukee just yesterday a 9-year-old boy was shot and killed on the north side of the city. we have huge challenges the waves the operations in that city for a long time including the election demonstrator having to be removed recently. he did disparage the city is a broad attempt by the democrats to talk about anything other
10:30 am
than the problems of president biden. >> sandra: and the democrats are taking a billboards quoting president trump, but our aishah hasnie caught up with him yesterday and asked him what he was talking about when he talked about milwaukee being horrible city listener. >> i think it was very clear what i meant i said we are very concerned with crime. i love milwaukee, i have great friends of milwaukee, but as you know the crime numbers are terrible and we are to be very careful. but i was referring to also the election, the ballots, the way it went down was very bad in milwaukee and very, very bad. >> john: so he and you are suggesting he was not talking about milwaukee being a horrible place and why are we having our convention there but that there may be horrible things going on there? >> unquestionably did not disparage the city of milwaukee was a specific conversation in reference to a question from claudia tenney about what we are doing in the election so what is happening a democratic run cities across the country. nau's list of a handful of things he was discussing he

10:40 am
americans, and then the home insurance rates in florida have doubled, if not 110% over the premium price, and also property taxes now have also started to creep up. so that's why i've sort of coined the term it's like a quadruple quandary. is no longer a triple threat in a more. so it's really difficult for my husband and i as newlyweds as of six months ago to find our dream home and really what we have been looking for for a long time, so it's been tough, sa sandra. >> john: i hear you and so may people are listening and in the same boat, they feel for you, it's a struggle for so many. when i look at those median home prices in the tampa metro area, i mean as of 2019 you were 28 dumb ike turner 25,000 for the average home price, it's 400,000 as of -- it would be really hard to find anybody who has seen their wages or salaries go up by that much.
10:41 am
that's what's making this a huge struggle to your point as well as other things including rising interest rates. so anthony, to you now, you and your wife want to upgrade, you want to get into a bigger home. what are you seeing out there? >> we are seeing the same thing in philadelphia. it has not as quick increased as much as the florida area but we want to go to southern new jersey to be close to family, property taxes continue to rise. and the prices in philadelphia haven't risen as much and wages certainly have not risen that much so we are in a position where we are waiting for people to continue to sell so the inventory will go up and hopefully prices stabilize, but you have all of these people in the 3% and 4% mortgages that are just going to stay in place and the prices will keep flying. >> sandra: that's part of the big problem, right stella? those interest rates are so high, if you want to sell the home you are in like anthony, right, stella? you have to sell it but you probably sell it for nearly a record high in your area but

you'd have to get yourself into another house and possibly take out another mortgage and you would be at the high interest rates we are right now to tackle inflation. this seems like, you know, this is what is leading people do have their conversation about the american dream, stella. weigh in on that. you think this dream of homeownership is fading? or do you hold hope for the future? >> i hope something changes, but it is certainly fading. i moved to florida from new york city and i expected florida as it used to be my parents have lived in florida for 20 years and florida has always been my second home. i thought it was really reachable. at the point i was living in new york i thought florida was my five-year plan but then it it became my five-minute plan so i said great, starting a new life, getting married and then have the home of my dreams but that seems so out of reach and i feel suffocated in every corner everywhere look there is not
10:43 am
enough listings out there because of the reason people are holding onto their mortgages with under 3% which i could have gotten in 2019 possibly. so yes, absolutely. it feels very out of reach right now. it's like a mirage. >> sandra: anthony i know you're in the same boat you bought around 2020 which is great for you been out with a growing family you need a little more space. what is your plan? what do you think you will have to do? are you considering renting? >> yes, you mentioned the american dream i think people think renting isn't a good answer. at this point it's where prices are and where wages are and it's becoming impossible to ignore the fact it may be better to just rent in the short term. we live in a less than 1,000 square-foot with a 4-month-old baby so we are running out of room quickly. you could save my desk is in the living room of this point so i think at this point will probably have to consider
10:44 am
renting because i don't expect we will be able to wait out the market at this point just based on where everything is at and where it is looking to go. >> sandra: we will see, is struck with things could change pretty fast, we will see what happens and i appreciate the honest, candid conversation i know it helps a lot of people out there to hear similar stories they may be going through so we appreciate you sharing your journey with us. best to both of you. >> think of having us. >> thank you for having us, thank you. >> just a great meeting. tremendous unity in the republican party. we want to see borders, we want to see strong military, we want to see money not wasted all over the world. spewing from a president trump touting unity after meeting with republicans on capitol hill as democrats go into meltdown mode over the visit. charlie hurt weighs in on whether this or on this and whether virginia could go read in the race for the white house. he is coming up.

spew on the by an executive order has been in place a couple of weeks now and continue to see people across the border they are unrestrained in how come california. this is the latest group waiting to be picked up by border patrol. this as the california governor gavin newsom is bragging about sending the national guard to the border, but as we find out from our correspondence on the ground there, they are actually being sent to the legal border crossings, not the areas in between the ports of entry where all of these people are coming across.
10:50 am
so, sandra, i'm not sure what this executive order was intended to do, but whatever it was a does not appear to be working. >> sandra: if it was to stem the flow, that's not happening as we continued to see live images like that out of hokum the california. also breaking this hour, john, kate middleton has released a brand-new statement. it's the first time we have seen or heard from her and we will see her for the first time in months this weekend. she says in a new statement she is making progress in her therapy her cancer diagnosis, she will be attending the trooping of the color it will be kate's first public appearance since her diagnosis, john. great news. >> john: yes, she says she has good days and bad days as anyone who would be going through what she is would have, but it's going to be great to see her this weekend. a lot of people will be anxious to see how she looks. >> sandra: she noted she is not out of the woods yet so we will see her this week and we will be right back.

sharks. one young girl i think 16 years old lost a large part of her right leg and one of her hands and that same day a 45-year-old woman was also bitten by a shark. is this just what happens when people get in the water? >> you know, this is a really unfortunate event to have a few attacks on the same day is really fairly unheard of, but you know, it is summer, water temperatures are going up which means a lot more people in the water, and we have sharks looming in these areas and the northern gulf so when you go to the beach pay attention to the signs out there but you know for the most part, driving to the beach is more dangerous than actually going in the water when it comes to sharks. >> john: fortunately cumber for those who do become victim to shark attacks, the 16-year-old girl to my understanding was playing around swimming at a sandbar, those can be particularly dangerous, yes? >> well, that's one place you may want to avoid being because those sandbars next to deep water can channel sharks and
10:56 am
they will swim along those so yes, that is one place you may want to avoid. you also want to look out for murky water or if you see lots of big fish that may attack sharks those are things you want to avoid at the beach. yeah, the sandbars are another place you may want to stay away from. >> a lot of people may be looking at this to say while matt, what's been happening the last few years? the been all these shark attacks but look at this graph above the screen. this goes back 12 years to 2012 it's been pretty consistent. i mean, there was a low ebb in 2020 i imagine do the pandemic, though there were the most number of fatal attacks, three, that year but it seems to be pretty consistent here, mike. >> yes. the thing about shark attacks as we hear about almost all of them around the world, but year to year there are some bigger years, some lower years, but really not a big trend. usually the biggest predictor is how may people are in the water and through most of the world
10:57 am
shark populations are actually in real trouble which is something we should care about because even though they can be dangerous to us, sharks are important for the health of oceans. >> john: real quick, other than staying out of the water altogether what can people do to limit the chances they will be a victim? >> number one, i say get in the water because it's a good place to be but avoid murky water. avoid sunrise and sunset, don't swim where people are fishing, and you know, maybe avoid the sandbars. >> john: my kite house, good to talk to you. hopefully we will not get into too much of that this summer. sander? >> sandra: meanwhile former president trump met with ceos of some of america's biggest companies at a business roundtable meeting. larry kudlow was in that meeting. we will ask him what details he can share with us.
