dana marie. >> john: let's bring in charlie hurt a "washington times" opinion at her and a fox news contributor. first of all let's go to the president's visit on capitol hill. he and macconnell were face to face for the first time since december of 2020. here's how it was described in axios' trump and mcconnell finally meet again with a fist bump. it was warm and cordial one source in the room told axios', "trump commended mcconnell on efforts to grow the senate majority over the years" mcconnell had been kylie demeka tyler critical after january 6 and went so far to say that trump was practically and morally responsible for provoking the event, so does that still, charlie come hang over the relationship? or is over but he move on? >> i think two things they have kind of allowed people like mcconnell and trump to gloss over these things. the most important thing is the agreement on issues. and both donald trump and
11:07 am
mitch mcconnell are focused on the most important issues that matter to conservatives and matter to republicans and that allows him to sort of put aside a lot of those differences. the second thing, of course, is the notion they are sort of going in the direction of winning. winning solves a lot of problems a little bit like money. and republicans on capitol hill yesterday, they feel buoyed by pulling, they feel buoyed by the fact they are talking about the issues most voters care the most about, and that tends to put things to the side. and i know a lot of conservatives, a lot of trump supporter's, have been critical and donald trump has been critical of mitch mcconnell, but you have to give credit to mitch mcconnell in terms of realizing what it is he wants to get, he's a very sharp, wise, seasoned "politico" in that regard. so i think he recognizes as donald trump does it's a great

11:09 am
they have thrown every weapon they can get their hands on at the guy. they have scarred him he is a convicted felon, all of these things but he is still standing. and he came charging back into the city yesterday a triumphant victor and potentially on the cusp of recapturing the white house, and it's going to be a different beast they are dealing with. and i think that they are terrified and they probably should be terrified in terms of the agenda of the democrats care about because the only agenda that is going to be talked about i think over the next four years of donald trump wins is the trump agenda. >> john: speaking of poking the bear there was this moment yesterday in the biden-zelinski press conference listen here. >> what is your message to allies including those here at the g-7 about what more if anything the u.s. can do to try to drive towards a peace

11:11 am
pick the questions, the press gets to pick the questions that are most important and most urgent. sometimes i can be critical about some of the questions they choose to ask, but what we are seeing right here from president biden is kind of the whining of entitlement, i think, because i would argue over the past four years especially during the last election he got such coddling, such entitled treatment from the press who were far more focused on attacking donald trump that, you know, merely getting a question he did not want to have to answer is enough for him to try to lecture the press. i don't see how things are going to improve in that department for him between now and november. >> john: it was so weird he did not lash out for are asking about hunter biden he lashed out at the bloomberg reporter for asking about israel and come off very strange. have a great weekend. >> it really is. >> john: sander? >> sandra: thank you very much

you. >> sandra: go be great at something, right? >> john: exactly. make of yourself what you can because you are the only person who can do it. >> sandra: only fair comparisons for its wise i can make is we had terkel practices a day, 6:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. do you want lsu track and field. when i started there in cross-country when i started there i was nowhere near the best, but hard work consistency you can rise to the top. you can be anybody you want to be. that hard work message is needed right now i think, john. >> john: you can get picked number one and 99 in the draft and want to become the best quarterback the nfl has ever produced. >> sandra: incredible story he has. john that was great i appreciate that. as we told you in the last our brand-new information from the princess of wales. kate middleton finally with an update she just announced she'll be making her return to the public eye this weekend, the first since her cancer diagnosis. the princess of wales says she repairs to be at the tripping

the colors ceremony for king charles birthday tomorrow. let's bring in jonathan sachar does a british broadcaster and royal commentator i probably did not get your name right i apologize. thank you for joining us and we are so overjoyed with this news that we will finally see her although she did state in her statement she says she is not out of the woods yet, so she still has some work to do. >> that's right, sandra. she has announced the last moment she will be coming to the tripping of the color tomorrow for the king's official birthday her first public appearance since we saw that announcement that she has cancer and that she is going through chemotherapy. now in the statement she has released quite an open statement given quite a bit of detail she says she is not out of the woods yet but she has good days and bad dates as anyone who is going through chemo would recognize and that on good days she is really keen to do things that make her feel normal whether its

spending time with family or in this case spending time with the nation. so i think people are delighted she will be able to join her family and her children and all be seen tomorrow for the king's official birthday and of course the king himself has been undergoing treatment for cancer, so obviously cancer has been playing a much bigger part in the public life of the royal family than ever before. >> john: the king of phosphorus birthday parade is an annual event the drooping of the colors but it will be extra special this year. how do you think the british public will react to her being out in public for the very first time? the only other time she has been seen since her cancer diagnosis was when she did that recorded message a few weeks ago. >> that's right. that recorded message back in march was a result of some really horrible and hideous speculation about her health, where she was, some people even speculating that maybe she had died. there was so much intrusion into her life and even a candid photograph that i think they felt she had to make an appearance to give a statement to make that video statement was
11:47 am
a bit of a low point i would say in terms of how she has been treated i say reflecting this really horrible trend in modern life of wanting to make every single detail of celebrities and royal's lives, we have no right to know all those details, but i think in recognition of the deep interest in her and the royal family, they have decided to be as open as they can and now she feels she is doing a bit better she is going to make that appearance. i think those who love the royal family will be absolutely delighted to be able to watch that tomorrow. it's quite an important occasion in terms of the king's official birthday but also because it's going to have some new members of the family back together, she has not been seen for a long time and people will be able to see how she is doing with their own eyes. they've even released a photograph today along with a statement where she looks relatively well, she is seen outdoors in windsor, people have been speculating again as how she may look as a result of the chemo she's been going through so i think that will satisfy people's concern in that regard as well so i think there's a lot of excitement for her appearance

and also in the statement she mentioned just how much comfort she has taken from the interest of the nation. >> sandra: absolutely and as we watch all this footage of her and beautiful moments of her wardrobe always everyone is eager to see what she will wear her, i am sure she will impress and not let anybody down on that part. she is always stunning. ways beautiful. probably a much needed moment for the u.k. have not seen her and she has been this shining star of the royal family for years now. >> we are going through this messy and slightly boring election campaign, some more detail of choosing the next prime minister and government, there is not a lot to be cheerful and optimistic about in the u.k. even though the labor parties have accepted or expected to sweep in the power there's not really any great enthusiasm for them it's more as a pretest and disappointment within the conservative party in government for like 14 years so moments like this are when the

royal family really play their part because i think the nation can at least unite behind the royal family, they enjoy seeing much loved members of the royal family like princess catherine doing well and i think this is an important moment in that respect as well. >> sandra: jonathan appreciate you and looking forward to seeing her this weekend. >> john: it will be a great weekend thank you, jonathan. >> thank you. >> john: have you ever wondered how to tie a tie or for a football or grilled meat? internet dad rob kennedy has you covered with a message of hope heading into this next father's day that's coming upsh ?next. there ain't one. you're tellin' me you can get directv — the good stuff — and you don't need a satellite dish? oh, i used to love doin' my business on those things! you're one sick pigeon. them dishes kept the rain off our beaks! we just have different priorities is all. satellite-free directv... never thought i'd see the day. well, our lifespans are quite short...
