kate's first public appearance since december she released that statement last night saying she was hoping to make it today. and let me tell you the excitement and the cheering from the crowd once she came out first in that carriage was it just so loud it. of course the weather has not been the kindest to everyone here today. it did not rain on the kings a parade of course. we are getting more flyover if you can hear that behind me. the princess wrote in a carriage behind the king for the king has in the past routed on horseback. this year of course a more rain to back approach preheat writing on side his queen camilla. 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses 400 musicians came together today for the trooping of the color. which is an annual celebration. it has been happening for more than 260 years to mark the king's birthday. of course.

undergoing cancer treatment. which as kate is making good progress. she is still not out of the woods yet and has a long way to go. she has good days and bad days but is looking forward to attending more like this. were getting plane after plane above this. the crowd is very to people earlier today it said it puts things into perspective for their not just royals, not just people you see on tv or events like this. she is a wife. this shows the human side of the royal family. often they have been very tight. them citizens and offered recruitment as a way to do it. >> has always been military service has always been a way to citizenship on some level. i was in charge of a citizenship initiative of my guys in my platoon and guantanamo bay. these are guys that came here legally. legal residents of the united states i help them become citizens as part of their service to the military. that's been a cool thing about military service this to be taking it to the next level and a need to fill ranks because you cannot fill it with american boys be returned but recruitment levels dropping. also we are s seeing threats in the world rising all across the world. how much of what you are seeing in this now adding women into the draft. >> it is not happened yet but some people wanted too. rachel: that's part of the conversation i was just really surprising. and so how much of it is our government, our military, the pentagon is anticipating there

this election cycle donald trump is a knack for identifying issues among certain groups at a very important to them on the economic front he has landed on another one. maybe it was a sleeper issue for a long time but has potential been a real big one in this race. that is a taxes on tips think of the service workers but we talk about tipping it's a little bit out of control these days. legitimate part of our economy people rely on it for a big part of their income. donald trump is making the argument maybe we should make those tips tax free. here he was at its birthday party in west palm beach last night, watch. >> announce i will eliminate taxes on tips for restaurant workers and hospitality workers. anyone else who gets tips. no more taxes on tips. last week i was in las vegas at a beautiful building i built in the great trump hotel.
