the former president of the united states is going to sit down it the current speaker of the house mike johnson and also the nrcc chair richard hudson, they are going to neat and what they're going to talk a little bit about is the state of the race and ensure that republicans pick up more seats coming in the next elections because ultimately it's in donald trump's best interest because if he wants to get anything done he needs a republican house and senate. and there they are from a couple of days ago. they are going to meet back there today. >> ainsley: they are going through each district to figure out who is winning each district. have a strategy and a plan? >> brian: ainsley, it's easier than you think. there is not that many in play. we are down to like 30 seats maybe that are in play in the 400 so they know exactly where to focus. >> steve: right now speaker johnson only has a two seat, you know, margin. >> lawrence: this is a difference in the former president. first, there was this adversarial relationship with the past leaders in congress. in the senate. and it would really play out

with his mugshot we suspected that would happen. donald trump was sitting down with black leaders at detroit at predominantly black church and round table discussion of what we can do to get more of the black vote. and if you look at the stats, he is getting more black votes this year than he did four years ago. >> brian: is that beyonce's stage entrance in look at that, that's a little flamboyant. >> steve: have you went to a mega church before? it's an entire performance now. >> brian: maga church or mega church? >> ainsley: both, actually. >> lawrence: when you look at the votes in michigan, back in 2020, it was about at 76% of black support for biden. now, it's at 54% look at trump in 2020, 9%. >> brian: right now looks like a lot of people staying home. >> ainsley: voting no contest. steve. >> lawrence: or just stay at home.

then you look at pennsylvania. biden 76% in 2020. now 56%. trump is up 3 over the past four years. when you put them together, in michigan, trump has picked up 6 with the black voter. he has picked up three in pennsylvania. joe biden dropped 22% with one of his core demographics in michigan and down 10. got to make up unand don't know how to do it. >> brian: looks like a lot of people are going to stay home. trump got some and people saying i'm not into it i'm focused more on new country. but a detroit rapper is all. in it looks like 50-cent did i say that wrong? >> steve: it's 50-cent on the new jersey.
