capability. we prefer to do that by diplomacy and that has not worked. we have not been talking to iran in quite sometime in terms of diplomacy, we have other options available, including military options and department of defense working on that everyday. we have focused on middle east and added resources to middle east and talking about adjusting given recent threats, as well. >> bill: with "new york times" reporting on the bombing in tehran that took out the hamas leader. was this an inside job? >> john: i'm limited what i can talk about here, we're not in a position to verify details coming out in pres reporting on this. we would not have much to say on that, bill, except to say,

despite events and despite increased tension, we believe that a ceasefire deal is possible and that is the best way to deesqcalate increased tension in middle east and we have a team on the ground talking to counterparts. >> bill: does israel have help inside of iran? >> john: i cannot. >> dana: he definitely cannot. i was having an out of body experience, he's definitely not going to say anything about that. could you say anything about this? does president biden and v.p. kamala harris think happening it is -- justice to get plea deals from the united states? >> john: i can say this, number one, this was decision made by
