in pennsylvania released brand new body cam video officers responding to the assassination attempt on 2306r78er president donald trump. including officer's confrontation with the gunman. >> steve: chanley painter joins us now to take us through the video. >> chanley: new body cam video is a shocking look at the chaos, confusion and disorganized nature of the security response among and between local police and secret service agents just before and after a gunman opened fire at the trump rally in butler last month. including this butler township officer who had a chance to stop the whole thing spotting the gunman on the roof about 30 seconds before the shooting. you can see him here being hoisted up some 12 feet to the roof the agr building by a fellow officer before quickly dropping back down to the

ground. seconds later, shots rang out when 20-year-old thomas crooks opened fire striking trump and two other rally goers and killing another man. this officer later on body cam is heard saying he saw the armed man up there on the roof top with an ar rifle laying next to a backpack. in the aftermath, other video show officers desperately racing through the building trying to access that roof and speculating that the gunman could have used a pile of wood pallets leaning on the building to climb up there here the officers can be heard clearly confused why that roof was unmanned. one officer telling a secret service agent he believed the secret service was supposed to be protecting the roof the agr building, listen. >> i you can see shooter did he have a weapon? >> that was the report. >> i thought you were on the roof. i thought it was you. >> what? >> i thought you guys were on the roof. >> no. we were inside. >> why were you not on the roof? show up at the meeting. >> steve: can you also see and that was the part we saw five seconds ago where the cop is hoisted up to the roof but he has got to pull himself up so there is no way he could have a gun in his hand because he is using both hands to hang onto the roof. >> rachel: video, more information trick lips out. one thing we know nothing about still the killer, the murderer, why don't we know anything about that yet? that's curious, and also, we are reporting all. this if you are getting your news from traditional media outlet from legacy media outlets, they are not covering this story as much. imagine if this had happened to barack obama, you know, this would be still a top story. there is an effort to suppress the continuation of this investigation and we still don't have answers. >> brian: you just brought up to me we don't know anything about the 20-year-old still. why do we not? >> lawrence: too focused on does trump still have a wound on his ear? did it actually happen? why did he have a large band-aid instead of the person who
